"I should tell you to run... But I fear I'd just chase you now."

A fun fast paced read tbh. I found the start to be really investing and I was hooked. But the middle is where I had issues with it. It just felt a bit different from how the previous two books were written. It read as if the author was trying a bit too hard with trying to give depth to these characters. But their inner monologues at times were simply superficial to read. It sort of dimmed the fun down for me.

Avery is someone I still don't really like. Sure, she's there and sometimes is tolerable. But I'm mostly enjoying this series because of the three MMCs. Theo, Grey and Damon are really the life of this series. And oh my gosh I ate up every Damon scene 😩😩 I love that broody, dominant ass so much.

The spice and romance just kept getting better and better in this. Like boy, i had to take a breather 🥵🥵 My Damon Avery heart is satisfied.

But if it wasn't for the middle and poorly written monologues, I would have rated it higher. The ending though had me screaming. That was not what I was expecting and now I have to WAIT until October?! 😭😭

I just know this one is going to be GOOD cause some of the trigger warnings have me shook, hot and bothered already. I guess that's how you know you are in your dark romance era 🫣

If you don’t think too hard about the plot holes and the unbelievability of the guards/leaders not being able to stop a bunch of young adults, it’s amazing.

OMG !!!!! How can this book end in THIS cliffhanger? I am shook ! Even though I saw it coming a mile away I am still shocked! Why? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am here to eat my own words and say that this book is GOOD, in fact is so good that I am tingling with the events that occurred. The first book Unhinged was subpar in my opinion, I even considered not finishing the series but Corvin King held me there, and I am glad because the second book is good and the mystery keeps you going, but still I wasn’t too invested in the characters even though I like them all. In book one and till about the middle of book two Grey was my favorite (maybe because of Corvin King) than was Theo and Damon was last. BUT NOW EVERYTHING CHANGED …… this book surpassed my expectations this book can not even be compared to the first 2, yes it’s a continuation and the flow between the books is great, but this one is incredible, RAVAGE came and said “Hello” and gone was my doubts about this series. I am SOLD, I am now INVESTED, I now like all the characters, but Damon is now my absolute favorite. He started to grow on me in the second book, but by the very beginning of this one he was undoubtedly my absolute favorite (sorry Grey). I don’t read much RH but why the ones I’ve read always the last guy to give in is ALWAYS the best one ? I mean at least for me….
Damon’s authority, dominance, intelligence, selflessness, loyalty and violence is everything I love in a character, he didn’t just jump in the band wagon, nooooo.. he waited for Grey to give him permission, he is so loyal that he would never cross Grey. I will say that Avery is a lucky girl, but unfortunately their situation is less than desirable and the cliffhanger has me in pins and needles. Can’t wait for the last one. I hope is even better than this one ! 🖤

“… unless you want us to ravage this place to the ground, I’d remember just what we are capable of… with the right motivation.”

Book 3 of the Dance with my Demons series and whew baby this was my favorite one yet. The angst , the tension … it’s time for retribution . It’s one thing my boys don’t play about and that’s Avery .

My girl has been put through the wringer in this asylum , but her saving grace is three men who are similar , but couldn’t be more different at the same time .

What happens when the three most dominant men in the asylum claim you ? all hell breaks loose.

This ends on the most disrespectful cliffhanger my poor heart could not take it , but that plot twist had me shook although I had a feeling that was the case even if it wasn’t said in the moment and I ain’t mad at it , but Arthur and Alexander surely are .

The games are surely on and I can’t wait for Exile👏🏾
Steph did her big one yet again and if anyone asks why I love why choose dark romance books ? CHAPTER MUTHAFUCKIN 32🔥😩

I thought Books 1 and 2 were insurpassable. Say hello to Book 3. THIS SERIES IS EVERYTHING.

It’s impossible to write a review for something when you’ve highlighted the entire book, so here are my ramblings instead. Please note – my quotes are NOT always exact. Sometimes I mesh them together.

Humanity doesn't exist in situations like this. It's revenge and retribution, the fuel to our souls……. If they want to play God, then I'll do them one better. I'll be the Devil.

After Avery was taken in the last book, Damon assembles the troops to collect their girl. Theo, Grey, and the rest of Cirque des Morts are dispatched to locate Aves and hopefully bring her back alive, and hopefully in one piece.

That's the hold that Avery has on us. We'd all walk through fire and broken glass to save her.
You get an origin story for one of our MMCs, Zap, "it's cold in here", pineapple pizza, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, kitchen duty, envelopes, drunk octopus, and HOLY HELL ANOTHER CLIFFY.

Love is more than pink hearts and romance. It's aggressive, violent—a danger. It can be all-consuming, obsessive, making every single personality trait and emotion appear.

I need Book 4 out now!!!! I can’t get enough of this love circle. Together Damon, Theo and Grey form the Holy Trinity and Avery is their guiding star!

SEX: I won’t even lie – I’m glad my vibrator is fully juiced after reading this. What you really want to know is at 27%, 43%, 85%, and fuck yes at 92%. That morgue scene?? JESUS SAVE ME!

Little Killer – You are my absolute everything. Everyone deserves the chance to love you too. So, if your heart belongs to three people, then that's okay. I'm not going anywhere, no matter what happens.

AVERY: She's really grown on me. She's getting stronger every book and I'm here for that.

OUR MMCs: Listen - The bromance between Grey and Theo will leave your tongue on the floor. They’re EVERYTHING. Grey is giving my boy Theo a run for his money. If you didn’t already love him, he’ll make you his bitch in this one. But don't think Damon is going to sleep on you - he's in it to win it!!

DAMON: Finally.... we get some of his origin story. He's proving himself in every way.

I was forgotten and tossed aside, treated like an insane criminal. But Avery accepts me for who I am, allowing me to be the devil in her dreams and her nightmares.
Besides, jealousy doesn't exist for me. Only the unwavering desire to make Avery happy.

FAMILY TREE: You know how I feel about keeping a list of characters. There is a list of characters with general information, and then a list in the spoilers that has info you won’t discover until you read this book. I’m putting this here for me because when Book 4 comes out, I want to be able to say “oh, yes. I remember who that person is.”

Lily Emerson-Dale: Foundation created by her family after she killed herself due to mental illness.
Avery White
Grey Hawthorne
Theo Ashwood
Damon Emerson Alexander Dale: We now know his full name!!!!

Alexander Dale: Board member. Damon's dad.
Dr. Christopher Smith: Psychiatrist, Damon's cousin.
Arthur Whittingham: Foundation's supervisor.
Dr. Markel: Medical doc on staff.
Charmaine: Teacher.
Dorothea “Teddy”: Arthur's assistant/lover. (I'm not sure her exact name. Sometimes they call her Dorothea and sometimes they call her Teddy.)
Dr. William Elsher: New psychiatrist

CIRQUE des MORTS
Byrone: Jillian's boyfriend.
Jillian: Hacker, Byrone's girlfriend.
Andy Jemison
Leighton Pierce
Louis: Patient.
Mark: Patient.

SIDE PIECES:
Sam Hallman: Patient. Vivian's boyfriend.
Vivian Capello: Patient.
Siobhan Kennedy: Patient. Sometimes nice.
Eliana: Patient. Usually nice.
Rian Thatcher: New patient, introduced in Book 2.
Charity Williams: Patient.
Jonathon: Guard.
Connor: Guard.
Tony: Chef.
Margaret: Avery’s caseworker.
Leah: Someone from the past, presumed dead.
Melanie Cromwell: Doctor.
Dr. West: Doctor.

I can’t comprehend how this book has so many 4+ star ratings. It’s very much the same as the first 2. Avery, Damon, Grey & Theo in an asylum-y thing. This one starts off from where #2 ends, she gets taken & experimented on/tortured (for like 17 hours and they somehow do like 5 diff torture methods on her) then they break her out and continue to just have meetings, talk about plans & escort Avery to appts. Boring, predictable but also just cheesy wattpad style stuff.
The morgue scene sure was good, but no panic attack is REALLY going to stop immediately because someone looks at u and puts a hand on ur neck. Saw the marriage thing coming as sooooon as they mentioned a clause in the contract.
Will I read 4? Obviously but only cos I need to know Damon’s ok.

Whew!!! This was the best one yet book 3 surpasses 1 & 2. One thing Damon, Grey & Theo don’t play about is Avery…they prove it in every way.

Grey gives his new best friend Theo a run for his money. Grey is very jealous but he loves Avery and whatever makes Avery happy makes Grey happy. The 3 most dominant men in Lilydale are all Avery’s.

In this book Alexander Dale believes he’s outsmarted his son Damon by getting into his trust fund to continue experimenting on patients without their consent, as he’s done with Avery and so many others. But when Christopher Damon’s cousin & psychiatrist of Lilydale shows Damon his mom’s Will, Damon was now found the one Damon loop hole his father won’t see coming, his mother Lily thought of everything to protect her son from his father and to keep his greedy paws off Damon’s trust. Lily Dale thought of everything to stop her husband & Damon’s father Alexander from taking full control of Lilydale.

If you love dark romance this definitely the asylum for you!!!

I have been waiting on this book since I closed Echoes and Ravage by Steph Macca absolutely wrecked me. I’ve read almost 300 books listed on Goodreads, and only eight have EVER received five stars from me—this is my ninth. Steph (oh yea, she's my bestie - we're on a first-name basis) now holds TWO spots on my exclusive five-star list, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself until Exile comes out. The book hangover is real, and I feel bad for whatever I read next because nothing is going to measure up. I read this bad boy in 9 hours.... and that was me trying to take it slow...

From the start, this book had me hooked. The tension, the emotion, the constant edge-of-your-seat moments—I devoured every second. Avery’s strength in the thick of things, Damon’s ruthless determination, Gray’s unhinged sweetness, and Theo’s grounding presence all pulled me in. The possibility of a new dynamic being added to the mix after a moment had me ridiculously excited.

Steph does not oversaturate these books with smutty scenes, but when she gives them to you, OMFG they’re phenomenally written, never repetitive, and absolutely unforgettable. Baaayyybeee I needed to change my underwear no less than 6 times while reading this - check my notes and highlights... I counted.

Sheph was cock teasing us through so much of the book I was starting to think we weren't going to get the one scene we were craving, but then we did, and it was everything. EVERYTHING!!!! The emotional weight of that moment, plus the significance of the location, left me breathless.

I loved getting insight into each character’s mind—Theo pulling them all together emotionally, Gray accepting that loving more than one person is okay, and Damon well just Damon everything....

The ending? Even though I kind of saw it coming, I was still left shocked and now I’m torn about Christopher’s character. I don’t know where Steph is going with him, and that uncertainty has me on edge.

This book gave me everything I wanted and more. It’s dark, emotional, intense, and utterly unforgettable.

NonContext spoilers that I HAVE to get off my chest (IYKYK)

- The MF library "tasting" - my damn knees gave out …. And the potential dynamic that looks like is building 🥴🥴🥴

- HE. WORE. THE. FUCKING. MASK!!!!!! …. I can’t … I just can’t 💦

- The morgue... OMG OMG THE MORGUE…the leader leading - and OMG the way I had to put the book down and figure out how to breathe again.... Whewwww CHILLLLEEEEEEEE!!

UPDATE
I went into the audiobooks thinking I’d just relive the drama, the smut, the chaos. Cute, right? Biiiiiiitch, I felt it harder. Like, unholy-level hard. Somehow the second time around hit even deeper than the first—emotionally, physically, spiritually. I’m not okay. I am so far from okay I’m basically astral projecting through unhinged fangirl space and time.

The way Steph executed this plot should be fucking illegal. A masterclass in carnage, betrayal, tension, and character growth that makes you want to lick the page and sob at the same time. I was obsessed before—feral, sure—but I’ve evolved into something worse. Something twitchy. Something emotionally unstable and deeply satisfied.

And let’s make one thing clear:
📌 Book 1 - Still a solid 4-star banger.
📌 Book 2 - STILL. FIVE. FUCKING. STARS. No debates. No hesitations. I was kicking my feet like a dumbass, blushing like a schoolgirl, and rewinding scenes just to hear the filth again. Added 30+ new highlights while listening. Yes, listening. Thirty. As in I nearly ruined my phone because I couldn’t stop touching it. The Kindle app’s tired. I’m not.

Still reppin’ Team Grey like a rabid hoe on a mission, but Damon... Yeah… I flitted. Don’t judge me. That man’s backstory cracked something open in me and now I need therapy. Or him. Probably both. He wrecked me in ways I didn’t see coming, and I liked it.

This series is just… art. Violent, emotional, sticky art. Every twist lands. Every reveal slaps. Every unhinged moment feels like a gift from the smut gods. buuuuut Exile I already know it’s going to demolish my will to function. Whatever Steph does to us in that finale I’ll take it. Happily. Horny. Broken.

Just maybe include some backup panties and a hydration packet with the pre-order. A bitch is gonna need ‘em.

I have so many thoughts but:

- WHAT WAS THAT ENDING!?!? Where are we going!?
- that 4some was something else
- lowkey kinda sad that none of her boyfriends are boyfriends cause i feel like that would have been extra hot
- “that’s my fucking wife” okay SMASH
- Theo is probably still my fave but HOT DAMN Damon is seriously fighting hard for that spot

This is a wild series but now I’m in too deep and must finish even though I fear we are loosing the plot

The writing is still quite juvenile but entertaining enough to be over looked. The ending did feel rushed though.

ARC REVIEW

⭐️5 listen spic 5 🌶️

Miss Steph Macca, I don’t know what you put in this series but I’m hooked!

With this series, it gets better and better. Each one leaves you wanting more to the point you don’t want the story to end when you know it’s coming close to the end.

Before this review goes any further ( MAKE SURE TO CHECK T/W )

I said what I said each book seriously gets better and better. Which also means the story gets Only gets better and of course the narration is top tier, Each of the narrators brought this to life there is so much character growth and found family in this third book to the point you don’t wanna put it down once you start.

The author wrote each POV amazingly her writing does a great job of showing you who each character is making you feel hooked and ready for any info you’ll find out with each chapter.

Each book picks up right after each one if you have the opportunity, you’ll wanna read these back to back especially with all the chaos and drama that’s happening.

I still don’t have one favorite like I said before I love them all! And it grew even more, that Damon was in the running before but now to the top of the list he goes lol

Overall I truly enjoyed this. It’s packed with drama, suspense, spice, found family, and more! I feel for Avery the girl been through it. I’m patiently sitting here waiting for the next book with that ending. 😭

Everyone involved in this book done a fantastic job. From writing it, to narrating it, bringing it to life, and the producer.

If you're looking for a good audiobook with some of the best narrators

( Marie Hawkins, Corvin King, Anthony Palmini, Joe Arden. ) Add this to your TBR

I would recommend this to anyone who loves and enjoys dark romance with multiple characters.

Things came together in this book but I felt like there’s just so many plot holes throughout them all. I gave it a 4 because I enjoyed Damon’s emotional growth.

So they knew all along what the society was doing? Idk maybe I’m missing something but just something about the execution of this whole plot seems off.

It's the morgue scenes, isn't it? absolutely

These books just keep getting better!? This is my favorite so far, I loved it. There's no length they won't go to in order to protect her, and I love that for her.

That's the hold that Avery has on us. We'd all walk through fire and broken glass to save her.

She relaxes slightly. "And what's the plan if they do try to take me?"
"We kill them," the three of us say in unison.

The bromance between Grey and Theo just left me craving for more.

My eyebrows furrow as I reach my hand out, placing it against the cold, metal door. I hate that I can't do anything for him.

"Taste our girl," he says, throat bobbing as he grabs my jaw 👀👀

HUGE turn of events!!! I loved Damon in this book. Honestly, I wasn't expecting to love him this much, but he had me blushing and giggling the whole time. His relationship with Avery was soo worth the wait. I couldn't get enough of them.

"But he was wrong—I wasn't important to you then."
"You were, Avery. It's just unfortunate that they recognized it before I did.

Damon: I want you to do something for me. In about twenty seconds, I'm going to unlock your door. We're going to play a game. You run. I catch you.

*sighs* I'm done trying to choose your honor, I want them all.

That cliffhanger was FOUL. October feels wayy too far away.

I really wanted to love it. But the main characters have no depth and don’t undergo any real development. The men’s personalities are almost indistinguishable — they share the same motivations, thoughts, and character traits. They have backstories, but not true personalities. The setting and background were strong, but without distinct characters no scene mattered. The men lacked genuine relationships with one another. The story had so much potential, yet it fell flat, failed to engage, and was hard to get through. I gave it a genuine chance — three books. And that’s really because of the author; She’d discovered a secret door straight into the erotic fantasies psychiatric wards can bring — with three men. She had every player in position. But then she failed to deliver. I hoped for more.

Ravage is book 3 in the Dance with my Demons series. We are once again behind the dark and corrupted walls of the Lilydale Foundation Center. There is one slight difference this time around; the unhinged patients are fighting back. Told from multiple POV’s, this audiobook is performed in a full cast duet style by Marie Hawkins, Corvin King, Joe Arden and Anthony Palmini. This cast of narrators really transformed these pages, giving us the illusion we were actually there. For me, it was as if I were watching a movie play out in my head. Phenomenal performances.

Grey, Theo, Damon and Avery are back and they are stronger than ever. Secrets are uncovered, relationships get mended, surprises around every corner, character growth, and of course some unaliving happening. I personally enjoyed the flashback into Damon’s childhood. It hit me in the feels seeing the past through his eyes as a child. Plus, getting a glimpse into the past helped me have empathy and understanding for his character.

If you’ve made it this far into the series, you should know by now the author, Ms Steph Macca will leave you dangling on a cliffhanger. I knew this was going to happen when I pushed play, but once again I’m irked, as it ended. Ma’am, WHY?! And of course I will wait, because with an ending like that, I NEED answers.
Until next time…

Do I recommend? Absolutely

Is it possible to love these guys even more

I don’t know what it is about this series but I am hooked. They seem to keep getting better and better with the twists and turns and the spice 🫠 It keeps you guessing about what the assholes of the asylum is going to next and to who but the way the 3mmc’s and the fmc responds is different and normally so planned out. Also I have to say I love the fact that Grey and Theo knew how Dameon felt before he did since he is so big on control all the time. I can’t wait to read the next one especially after the way this one ended bc wtf just happened.

4! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finallyyyy we dove a bit deeper into all of the character’s heartbreaking pasts! Ugh I’m so in love with Grey, Damon and Theo - their obsession with keeping Avery safe and the “I’ll rip your fucking face off if you touch her” vibe is keeping me hooked. A “why choose” with THREE hotties now?! And you left me on a cliffhanger?! Diving in to book 4 immediately!

“Maintenant tu es à moi aussi.” 😩❤️

“‘In about twenty seconds, I'm going to unlock your door. We're going to play a game. You run. I catch you.’ My eyes widen as I read the chain of messages, heart beginning to race. The sound outside grows louder before… silence. Click.” 😈

“Touch her and I'll make your nightmares seem like a happy place. I'll burn everything and everyone without blinking. They will beg for death because it will be the easy way out.” 🔥

“You are my absolute everything. Everyone deserves the chance to love you too. So, if your heart belongs to three people, then that's okay. I'm not going anywhere, no matter what happens.”🫰🏻

I don't even care if I've rated this whole season so far as 5 stars. The audiobooks are totally worth it and I think I've enjoyed it more being on audio.

I love Joe Arden but is just Joe Arden playing Joe Arden. Still totally worth it though 😂 Corvin King is my new favourite. That husky voice 😱🥵 and my 1st time listening to Anthony Palmini he was 😚👌🏼chefs kiss. All men were perfect, just perfect. I would say Marie Hawkins also did a brilliant job. I will definitely listen to her more too.

Apparently Exile is coming out on 22nd Oct so thankfully not too long to wait until the next one 🙌🏼

I love where the story is heading with this book and how the plot is developing and getting deeper.
