Markus is self-assured and self-made. He knows demons and he can read any living creature’s emotions. He’s on the hunt for his demon-mate but the search has been fruitless.
Until he runs into Samir, a horned demon with gorgeous green eyes, behind the bar at a local pub. Markus is drawn to Sam in a way that he can’t understand. And he’s not about to let him get away.
Samir is a Sumerian demon with a violent and traumatic past that affects him deeply to this day. He refuses to make friends or put down roots, though he must work in fields with an excess of human energy to feed upon. Sam is convinced no one could possibly want to get close to him, so he simply exists, alone and unmoored.
Could the tall, blonde gentleman in Louboutins whom Sam continues to visit in his dreams possibly be the answer?
Tilly and her life partner live in the snowy north and homeschool their clutch of children. If she’s not reading, writing, mainlining iced oat milk lattes, swimming, or herding cats, she’s definitely cursing about her dead sourdough starter (again) or working on her cake decorating skills so she doesn’t embarrass herself at the kids’ bake sale.
This was a fun and dark novella with a sad boy demon and his sassy and persistent love. Markus is the ray of sunshine that all sad boys need, and was patient with Samir’s emotional constipation and terrible communication skills. There wasn’t a lot of give and take in this story, but Samir still had his moments and obviously cared about Marcus.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: somnophilia, dubcon, panic attacks, flashback, stalking behaviors, discussion of mass death, discussion of manslaughter, mention of absent parent, mention of parent death
I love Markus and I would 100% want to be bffs with him. Another wonderfully written and entertaining novella. Markus and Sam are so cute. I love how the titles of these novellas perfectly encapsulate our main characters. It’s so cheeky and cute. A nod to mental health and the importance of an accepting partner was *chefs kiss* I loved them together.
MARKUS. Ah, I Loved Markus in Resolute; the way he sassed Bast and always gave him grief was really funny. So when I got the chance to read Markus's book, I was all over it!
This book was just so good. Markus is in a really good place in his life, he's got a great house, a steady job, friends but he's missing love. Insert the handsome, mysterious demon, Sam, who he meets while on a failed date. Sam was so loveable, I wanted to just bundle him in my arms and protect him (even though he's a strong demon). I really liked that even though Sam was dealing with a lot of internal struggles and pushing Markus away, Markus was like, no that's not gonna happen lol. (But it was never like aggressive stalking or anything) This was sweet, and so hot. I am in love with them together. It felt like there was so much story and character growth fit into 80 pages. 10/10
Tilly Bramley's Audacity is a sultry, captivating tale that stole my heart!
As Markus's story, this novella delivers a perfect blend of spice and emotion. Following Resolute, I adored Markus's sassy personality, and Audacity showcases his vulnerable side.
Highlights:
MM romance with demon/human dynamics Dream walking and paranormal twists Size difference and steamy encounters (85% smut!) Short, addictive read (under 100 pages) Standalone-friendly, despite being book 2
The plot expertly balances smut and substance, exploring PTSD and personal growth. Samir's transformation from despair to hope is beautifully crafted.
What shines most is Markus's caring side, outweighing his signature sass. This glimpse into his heart makes Audacity unforgettable.
Perfect for fans of spicy paranormal romance seeking a quick, satisfying read!
As soon as we met Markus in book 1, I was dying for his story. I loved him from the start - he's fun, sassy, and witty with a sharp tongue and even sharper dress sense. I couldn't wait for book 2 and it doesn't disappoint! Sam is such a sad boi - he's a little insecure but has these moments of letting loose and taking what he wants. However, as soon as things heat up, he lets his fear take over and runs away. Luckily for him, Markus is tenacious and his perfect other half - he's determined to claim his demon and claim he does!! When these two get together, it is FIRE!! Seriously, the spice be spicin'! I felt like I needed a shower while reading this book, and not just because there's copious amounts of fluids flowing - it is HOTT!!!
I absolutely love this San Hades world! Markus and Sam was amazing together, Markus was definitely the thing that Sam needed not that he would let himself admit that. Sam was a sad boi but Markus with his sassy mouth and his unwavering love for him had him making the right choices about getting better together. I loved seeing Sebastian and Mina again and the empty threats Sebastian kept throwing at Markus had me laughing! I can't wait to see what's to come from this world!
If you need a short and dirty palette cleanser, look no further than Audacity. This book is 85% $mut and 15% plot. The plot is not lacking however and you will easily devour it in one day. It is book 2 but can be read as a standalone.

This was such a fun novella. When these two got together, the heat was sizzling! I really loved them, and thought they're perfect for each other! Tilly wrote an incredibly good story, and the world that was created is amazing!
I really enjoyed this insight into the heart of the lovable Marcus. Seeing their caring side outweigh their sass for once was stunning. I enjoyed the evolution of Samir, from his place of despair and loneliness, to the outcome at the epilogue it's a brilliant ride.
I'm so sad there aren't any planned additions to this series :(
I loved Markus and Sam’s story (enough to stay up late to finish it)!
There was a lot of great mental health rep in here, done in a very impactful way which felt authentic to the story and the character.
Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Tilly. I was in a bit of a reading slump and the San Hades Chronicles have pulled me out of it, happily! ♥️

Loved reading this! Markus is looking for love and finds a sad demon boi with all-too-relatable insecurities. It's cozy and spicy and funny, all rolled together.
Ok when I say I sat down and read this in 2 hrs 🫦 this little MlM novella is so cute. Sam and Markus are so cute and equally frustrating to eachother 🤣 so cute and spicy
