After a one-night stand, that was intended to stay that way, Journey walked into her favorite coffee shop and encountered the man she left naked at The Ritz emerging from the back room. Journey had done things with that man that the mere memory of made her blush. Wearing her “Mary” boots, she channelled her inner badass and propositioned a man, and damn, did it feel good. It was something she had never done before and had no intentions on doing again, but that night with Ari had been occupying her thoughts rent-free ever since.
Ari could not believe what he was seeing. Journey was standing in his coffee shop, well, one of his coffee shops. The night they met, he told her he was a software developer, which was a lie, but he never told women who he really was if it could be avoided. He had been instantly attracted to Journey, and those damn boots she was wearing had his body on the verge of exploding. When she propositioned him for a one-night stand he thought he had won the lottery. This woman wanted him, or perhaps just his body, but either way she was not trying to seduce him for his money or status.
They both never thought they would see each other again, yet here they were. Journey wanted to grab her coffee and leave the past in the past, but there was only one problem with that. Ari wanted, no needed to know more about Journey and would do whatever it took to win her over.
I really enjoyed this book. It was good and steamy and I really liked the characters. I love how Ari did not hold back when it came to showing Journey how much he loved her. So glad everything worked out for them. Can’t wait to read more books by this author.
Great read this book really held me until the last page. Only thing I did hope for was twins! Definitely will see other books this author has to offer!
