I told myself that when I uprooted my life and moved across the country, I wasn’t going to get into trouble. Cue Ronnie Lawson. Not only is she the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen, but she is the absolute best kind of trouble. She’s free, unpredictable, and lives her life in the now, never tied down. The problem is that the more time I spend with her, the more I want something more than just casual. I’m a single dad, trying to juggle my responsibilities and do the right thing for my son. Every time I try to divulge any of that to Ronnie, she doesn’t want to hear it. She’s just fine with our weekend-only arrangement that is primarily physical. With every night we spend together, I realize she’s everything that I want. But will she ever be ready for something more? Or am I just the newest guy to get caught in her whirlwind?
**Although part of a series, each book in the Lawsons can be read as a complete standalone.** **This is a steamy romance. There are adult themes throughout**
ARC review. This was such a cute, fun, easy read! Ronnie is the one sibling in the Lawson clan who is truly trying to live life to the fullest. While on sabbatical from her travel photography job, she meets Drew. Drew just moved to Lily Leaf Falls to get a fresh start at life. Will their encounter end in a one night stand or develop into something more?
This is the third book of a stand alone series about the Lawson siblings. It has been so fun learning about the Lawson siblings and seeing how they develop more in each book.
Three Not-so-little words is third book in the Lilly Leaf Falls Series featuring the Thrid Lawson sibling Veronica aka Ronnie. Ronnie is a travel photographer always on the go. She returns home to take a little life break. Upon returning to Lilly Leaf Falls her family worries about her not visiting much since her return. The rest of her siblings won't have it as they drag Ronnie out for a night on the town. It just so happens one of her sisters is due to get married. Ronnie attitude chances as she notices a newbie in town. She shakes and shimmy's to get his attention and fails to get his number. Luckily for her life events bring them back together. Drew is new to town, single and a dad.
This books has ups and downs and is full of real life relatable struggles and emotions.
Ronnie was indeed a flipping delight. She was spontaneous, adventurous, and didn't take herself too seriously. And Drew is another of this author's book boyfriend material characters. He's a great dad, and he's a wonderful partner for Ronnie, even before she accepted him as anything serious. This story is fmc driven. She sets the pace of their relationship, and we see ups and downs as she manages her past heartbreak with the promise of a future. Her effort with Drew's son Colton was so sweet.
I do wish we had seen more at the end after Drew puts his foot down because I think it's important to recognize he wasn't a doormat. His patience and understanding had a limit, and he stood firm when she finally reached it. I'm glad Ronnie had a family who was willing to speak openly and honestly about her issues so she didn't miss out on the best thing to ever happen to her.
There are a ton of laughs between these pages and many a romp between the sheets...and under tablecloths...too! ;)
Ronnie (FMC) was such a little firecracker, a fly by the seat of your pants type of woman and Drew (MMC), looking to start over after the death of the mother of his child, we love a single dad moment!
Lily Leaf Falls has become a favorite small town of mine and I just love how well the town is written, you feel like you’re right there with them!
The character growth was well written and the plot played out very nicely! The spice was spicing and i loved it, it had me blushing as i was reading!
I would highly recommend this book! While it can be read as a standalone i recommend starting with book one in the series!
Hello, SPICE!!! My goodness, Stephanie Renee has mastered writing the steamy scenes. The Lawson family is back with another sibling’s story… while keeping us updated on our previous two MCs. This was my favorite in this series so far! I loved the quick wit of Ronnie, and the matriarch of the Lawson Family is my new goal as a mother.
This was another amazing book by Stephanie. It is full of drama, banter, and spice. It is a great single dad romance, two broken MMC who help each other heal. Love the Lilly Leaf Falls series.
𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭-𝐒𝐨-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 is book 3 in Stephanie Renee’s 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑵𝒐𝒕-𝑺𝒐-𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔. It is an interconnected standalone that features the love stories of the Lawson siblings.
Veronica Lawson doesn’t have time for relationships or commitment. She is a travel photographer, makes tons of money, and is determined to enjoy life to the fullest. One-night stands is the name of the game, and she refuses to let anything or anyone hold her down. That is until she meets Drew.
Drew is a former MMA fighter who, after the tragic passing of the mother of his child, now finds himself a single dad. With no family of his own to count on, Drew makes the decision to leave the glitz and glamour life of Miami Florida to move to the small town of Lilly Leaf Falls. After they meet while out at a bar one night, the two decide that the fire burning between them is too much to stay away from. They agree to keep things casual with no commitment involved. But what happens when secrets are revealed, and past hurts come into play? Will these two run to or away from each other?
𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭-𝐒𝐨-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 had me a little emotional at times. In this book we see how the tragic events in our lives shape us and change us and sometimes keep us walled into an imaginary truth that we create for ourselves. Our pains, our losses, if not acknowledged and dealt with, can keep us from finding true love and happiness. We see that both Drew and Ronnie have had to deal with bad things happening to them in their past and though they have been successful at running away from the pain their whole lives up until now, once they meet each other, they are forced to deal with things head on, to break down each other walls, if there is to ever be a chance of them finally finding true happiness.
While emotional, this book was also very fun and sweet. The Lawson family, per usual were a hoot. I loved their interactions and family dinners. I also really loved the matriarch Eliza Lawson—now that is a good mom who always seems to know exactly when her kids needed a little tough love and a kick in the rear. She was a joy to see in this installment of the series. I also loved Drew as a single dad. My goodness, his scenes with his son Colton was the cutest and is sure to pull at your heartstrings.
Drew and Ronnie were also a joy. They brought out the best in each other. They had so much fun and were able to meet each other where they were and be there for each other when needed and that was so sweet. These two also had a magnetic and fiery chemistry. This book was steamy y’all!!
Overall, this was a great read, and I cannot wait for book four (hoping its Michelle’ story). I would recommend 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭-𝐒𝐨-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 for any reader looking for a spicy romance novel with lots of laughs and a little bit of drama.

Each new Lawson story solidifies Stephanie’s talent for storytelling, drawing a reader into her book world, and romantic writing. The third book in her The Lawson series continues to showcase this talent and has readers diving deeper into the world of the Lawson siblings. Not afraid to put hard emotions into her romance story, this book reminds us that events shape us and affect us deeply. Still heartwarming and full of laughs, it provides a wonderful read to fall into for some time.
Veronica is finally getting her own story. A woman who is not looking for a relationship and vocal about her time better spent other places. She is happy with one night stands and then getting on with her life the next day. I loved her tenacity and ability to be unapologetically herself. Outspoken and confident, she was a wonderful character to get to know on a deeper level.
Drew is a former MMA fighter, who left that life behind to focus on raising his child as a single dad. The loss of his child’s mother has hit him hard, but he hasn’t allowed him time to process through the grief and heartache.Drew is a wonderful dad, just trying to do what is best for his kid, but it’s obvious that not dealing with his loss is weighing him down. When he and Veronica meet, sparks fly and the chemistry needs more than one night together.
As the past begins to catch up to both of their presents, the question remains; how much of your past defines your present and how do you move forward. Each MC is dealing with their own struggles and it was heartwarming to see them lean on each other to work through them. Have they been standing in their own way this whole time and have they finally met the person who is worth breaking down the walls?
As always, review any author notes before reading.

“If chaos had a heartbeat, it would sound exactly like Ronnie Lawson.”
My favourite of the Lawson series so far... probably because Ronnie shares my brain! I loved her free-spirited, unpredictable energy and the way she refused to apologise for living life on her own terms. This book had me laughing, swooning, and occasionally yelling at my Kindle because these two have chemistry.
Ronnie and Drew are complete opposites, and that’s what makes them perfect. She’s wild, adventurous, and allergic to commitment, while Drew is the grounded single dad who’s quietly grieving and just trying to do the right thing for his son. Watching Ronnie slowly let her walls down and accept real love was everything. Their relationship was messy, passionate, and so beautifully real and Drew... Ultimate golden-hearted dad energy with a side of spice.
Stephanie Renee’s writing just keeps getting better with each book. The banter, the emotion, the family dynamics, it all feels so lived-in and genuine. Lily Leaf Falls is basically comfort reading at this point, and this one definitely had the most “oh my god they’re perfect for each other” moments yet.

Three Not-So-Little Words is a funny, entertaining and one of a kind romance that will have you striving to be like Ronnie, in some ways and loving Drew, a single dad. As I was reading their story, I could not stop smiling and laughing at the sassiness and forwardness of Ronnie. She lives life to the fullest and the reason is because she has had her heart shattered years ago. She is back home for her sister's wedding and a break from travelling the world as a photographer. What she didn't expect to meet Drew, a single dad who is trying to start life over after losing the mother of his little boy, Colton. These two could not be any different, but they do have a chemistry that sets the sheets on fire, among other places. A one night stand turns into so much more, but some rules cause problems. Drew is one book boyfriend that will be at the top of my list. His patience and understanding were unbelievable and at times he did become frustrated with Ronnie and their situation. Ronnie was one person who had so much to love in her to give but kept it close to the vest. I loved how her family knew what she needed and held nothing back when they shared how they felt. I highly recommend picking up Ronnie and Drew's story. You will not be disappointed.
Ronnie has finally returned to her hometown, the only place that she really felt she belonged. Although she loved her job travelling the world photographing the exotic places she visited, ther was no place like home. Now she was taking a sabbatical and relaxing. She was never a shy girl and always proud of her curves, but she's happy with one night stands no commitment and definitely no kids. Drew has move to Lily Leaf Falls to raise his son, after his ex's death he was now his soul parent. Moving here to be near his ex's mother to help with her grandson. When he meets a gorgeous woman at his bosses wedding he takes the opportunity to see where it goes. But she doesn't want to know anything about him other than him being single. Can he change her mind. Will Ronnie finally drop the walls she's built around herself. Will she reveal her secret she's kept to herself. This is a brilliant story that twists and turns with you really wanting a hea. Both characters have their own flaws which maybe they can help the other overcome. This is the third in the series and can still be read as a standalone.
“A love that heals — one word, one touch, one quiet moment at a time.”
Three Not-So-Little Words is such a tender, emotional story that reminds you love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Drew completely stole my heart — a single dad who carries so much responsibility yet still loves with patience and warmth. You can feel how deeply he wants to do right by everyone around him.
And Ronnie… my heart ached for her. The guilt she’s carried since losing her first love is heartbreaking, and the way she slowly lets herself believe she deserves happiness again was beautiful to watch. What touched me most was how she started opening her heart not just to Drew, but to Colton too — those little gestures, those moments she shared with his son, were so full of quiet care and growth.
Stephanie Renee captured the kind of love that doesn’t rush, that heals in gentle waves — the kind that teaches you it’s okay to trust again, and that love, when it’s right, feels like coming home.

I’ve been so excited for this book as I’ve loved Ronnie’s character in the previous 2 books. I am Ronnie, Ronnie is me lol!
She is adventurous, funny, spontaneous, very smex positive and doesn’t really like kids!!
Just like the other 2 books, I loved this one also. I am a huge fan of Stephanie’s writing and will absolutely read more of her books. The reason I have this a 4 instead of 5 stars is because I really wanted something different for Ronnie. I really wish we had a book where the FMC is happy with her casual relationships and going on adventures and not wanting or needing anything more. At the very least falling in love with a man that joins her and wants the same thing but that’s not what this was. She ended up with a man with a kid and settled into small town life. There is nothing wrong with that, I just wish we saw a different perspective of HEA and I thought we would get that with Ronnie.
Ronnie is the wandering soul in the Lawson family. A travel photographer, she’s always living life to the fullest, but when Ronnie takes a sabbatical for some much needed time home, she gets more than she bargained for when she meets Drew.
Drew is a single dad who just moved to Lilly Leaf Falls to be closer to the maternal grandmother of his son. It’s been a long time since Drew has prioritized himself, and when he sees Ronnie, he can’t help but try to win her over.
When Ronnie makes it clear she just wants things casual, Drew neglects to tell her about his son, but how long can they just be casual and what happens when Drew can no longer keep his son a secret?
Ronnie is a likable character who knows herself. Her free spirit and self acceptance make her an enjoyable protagonist. Watching her mature in the story kept me reading.
First and foremost - if you are a true smut reader you will absolutely LOVE this book! Lots of detailed spicy scenes and a plot. If you don’t really care for spice then I would skip this book. Overall it is really well written, the story flows well, and I found it quite funny. The characters are written like my actual real life friends, including lots of swearing in their every day speak. The Lawson family is rather entertaining and I have no doubt the rest of the series is just as good. My rating is low because I didn’t expect the amount of smut, and at the end felt the amount could have been reduced in favor of developing the story a bit more. The relationship between the main characters seemed to develop into more without the background story really being there for us to read. Again, smut readers will give this another rating. Just wasn’t quite what I expected.
I have never related so much to a FMC so much before! 🙈 Her worries and restrictions for building on relationships were written really really well! Stephanie writes so smoothly I couldn’t put it down! 🤓 Both Ronnie and Drew bounce off each other and they work! The relationship between Colton and Ronnie honestly blossoms through the latter half of the book and her effort of making sure Drew’s son was comfortable with her presence in his life was just so sweet 🥹 I’m here for it!! This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone (which I have done) however I do have book one and two in the pipeline to binge!
So many emotions throughout this read! I would recommend to anyone who likes books by Sarah Adam’s for definite!!💘
I loved this book so much! You can’t go wrong reading about a single dad with a cool kid and a commitment phob chick who is always on the go.
My fav part of the book is when Drew (the dad) got sick and Ronnie stepped in to look after Colton. There did all sorts of things like playing cars, watching movies and baking cupcakes for the mom that passed away. It melted my heart when she explained how that even though Colton’s mom is in heaven they were still thinking of her and celebrating her special day. (I’m not one who gets emotional easily but as a mom with young kids who has lost people this struck a cord.) BTW, the spicy scenes were amazing!
I loved this book and will definitely be reading it again. I hope you check it out!
This third book in the series is full of fun, patience, heart break and love. With Ronnie deciding to come back home and Liz's upcoming wedding, a Bachelorette party is a requirement correct? There she spots a good looking stranger, but he is gone before she has a chance to talk to him. What are the odds she sees him again the next day at her sister's wedding. Never one for anything serious, keeping this to weekends only and casual is all she wants. Drew is starting over in more ways than one. After moving across the country with his son to get a fresh start and be closer to his son's grandma and adjusting to being a single dad is his goal. Then he meets Ronnie. She is scared of commitment and hasn't had anything serious. Tropes He falls first Single Dad Lost Love
The third book in the series about Lawson siblings (interconnect stand-alone).
The book tells the story of Veronica (Ronnie), the Lawson wild child, a photographer who travels around the world, loves sex and is afraid of commitment. Ronnie takes a sabbatical and moves back home only to meet the towns new resident, a single father called Drew. Attraction between them is instant, but will they be able to tackle all the obstacles their pasts have left them to deal with?
I enjoyed the book, though it was definitely spicier than the previous books on the series. This was not my favourite and I found Ronnie a bit annoying from time to time, but Drew was a sweetheart. All in all, a nice easy read.
The holdout to commitment, I loved seeing her slowly adapt, and breakdown, and rebuild was gorgeous. I loved seeing the relationship she built with Drew, but I absolutely adored the bond that she built with his son Colton. It was awkward, but the way she connected with him was so sweet!
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, but I wish that we had more from Drew after she had her meltdown - he’s a strong character, so the quick resolution was a bit of a letdown. Otherwise, a steamy story with plenty of smexy time and a sweet little family being formed.
Both characters have faced loss/grief but the way they dealt with this is very different. I absolutely loved how real that aspect of this book was. Ronnie is brash, sassy and a little smartassy. If you love a female character who is very in touch with her “needs” then you’ll love her. What Ronnie really grows throughout the story is her emotional journey. Drew is a single father who has changed this career in order to better care for his kid. You are going to love Drew and his son! When Ronnie and Drew start off, they think that “no strings arrangement” is what they want/need but it turns into so much more. I’m so glad that Ronnie has a big family who are involved! I really am enjoying this series.
This was a fun & easy read. I can relate every tike Ronnie felt like self-sabotaging. Like every time something goes wrong or it just feels too good to be true, you just have that urge to run away because you’re scared on facing whatever it is that might happen in the long run.
The story is quite common and predictable but I still enjoyed it. I like how it doesn’t have any cheating or miscommunication kind-of trope.
I hope there’s a next book or even just a sequel with Ronnie, Drew & Colton’s life 🥰
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ plus 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️Book Three of the The Lawson Series
Favorite Quote: “Everyone who says they’re just after some fun ends up falling in love.”
Every story from The Lawson series has been amazing!! This is probably my favorite one so far! Ronnie is spontaneous, adventurous, and likes to get a little dirty! Drew is an absolute dream, and an amazing dad to his son Colton! One of my favorite parts is about the penguins, they are my favorite animal so that chapter won my heart! 🐧❤️ If you want an extra spicy read this one is amazing!!! 🌶️🥵
Three not so little words take us to Lilly leaf falls for the 3 book in the series center around Ronnie. Ronnie the FMC is a carefree, live life to the fullest type of gal. Drew (MMC) is a recent single parent moving to Lilly Leaf Falls to settle in a small town and raise his son. Once Ronnie and Drew met, it was lust at first sight.
The smut in this book is great! While I feel that the story lacked a few details and was developed to quick at the end, this book was still a good read. If you are looking for a cute quick smut read, this is the book for you!
This book was a bit of a let down. The final few chapters weren’t bad though and redeemed it a bit. Halfway through the book we finally get more about Ronnie besides her sex life. I feel like there could have been so much more with her character and the opportunity wasn’t grasped. Plus, I love spice and smut in stories but this had so much I ended up skipping pages and pages worth just because it was overkill and the same stuff over and over again. The first two books in the series were way better. I wouldn’t read this again.

Ok, what in the world!? Way to pull at my heart strings, Stephanie. Another great book in this series, but the ending!? Whyyyy!? The dedication page had me giggling and shaking my head, knowing I was in for it. And the first chapter also had me giggling. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Stephanie has a way with words. Anyway, I have loved Ronnie from when I first met her and I truly enjoyed her story. A good cry, a good pull at the heart strings and a good yay!
This series is sooo cute!!! And Ronnie is the one fierce sibling. We end up understanding her more and getting to know her from her inside, which is beautiful and caring. Drew and Colton are new to town and they are dealing with a tough moment. Ronnie and Drew together burn nicely. He is understanding. She is opinionated. Together they discover their similarities and a never thought love and relationship dynamics. Loved it!
Every time the romance community starts to discuss spicy in books (when it's too much or too little), I always say that it should match the characters. And this book it's a great example of that. It's high on spicy because that's Ronnie, and that's how she founds her match, Drew: first in the sheets, and just after some growth, she takes the relationships to the streets, as they say... I loved Ronnie and Drew, and his kid. The pace of the story was good. I'm enjoying this series very much!!
This was a wicked cute and fun romance read. The Lawson Clan’s adventurous care free sister Ronnie has meet her match. Back home from break she meets Drew. No strings attached with the new man in down. How can we go from no strings attached to very entangled strings. Drew has a a secret and Ronnie is the only one who doesn’t know it. They had great chemistry and a great romance from start to finish. Fun cute series.
