I have been summoned home six months after my father's death. Upon my return, I learn I must take the helm of our international shipping company. Little did I know there were additional a wife and male heir. There's a reason I'm not married already. I believe in marriage for love despite my billions.
The timeline makes a marriage for love seem impossible. As luck or fate would have it, I ran into a childhood friend who also recently returned home. In jest, she suggests a marriage of convenience. At first I'm against it. After two disastrous dates with potential wives prescreened by my mother, I seriously consider her offer. Could my fake wife turn real? Can Keeley and I make it for the rest of our lives.
The Soren Family series are standalone romances with interconnecting characters. Each novel focuses on one couple and can be read in any order, but for maximum enjoyment it is recommended they are read starting with book one.
Nicole took the long way to deciding on becoming a writer. As young as six, Nicole wrote poems and started drafts of novels. After over fifteen years as an attorney she decided to give writing an actual try and finish one of her many stories.
Avid reader, lover of coffee and chocolate, and animals. If she isn’t writing, she is driving to the field, watching a game or curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee. She lives in the Northeast with her husband and their four children.
What is to be a marriage of convenience turns out to be a wonderful love match. I loved the indefinable connection that Lexington and Keeley have between them. They have some really important things in common. Keeley and Lexington put more value of relationships and people than they do on money or material things. I love their white hot chemistry, the way they really listen to each other and their need to show each other that they care, even before they speak of love to each other, with meaningful gestures and gifts. They are both family oriented, despite how dysfunctional their own families are, and see a future for themselves that includes children. I also like how they both step up to protect each other, and how they establish an open line of communication and honesty between them. Part of that is due to them knowing each other as children and shared memories. They really do complement each other well. Can their relationship survive the machinations of his parents, especially his selfish and venomous mother?
This story kept me immersed in it. It reads like a soap opera with characters that I both loved and hated especially Lex's mother. Lex is forced back home after his father's death and has to marry and have a male child in order to gain his inheritance. Lies, betrayal and deceptions are at the root of everything going on in his family and centers around his parents. Will he be able to uncover everything and sort it out before marrying the woman he has chosen to be by his side forever.

This book was more than I expected. The plot is fantastic! I was hooked from the beginning to the end. Lex (Lexington) and Keely formed a close relationship as they grew up, but because of his parents, they were kept apart. Lex returns home after his father's death to handle the estate and all the surprises in the will. Keely is pulled into this twisted drama, and she and Lex finally get their HEA. I have not scratched the surface of the intricacies of this book. It's a great read!

When "to find a wife" turns to "to find a love". Enjoyed the book - with all family drama and soap opera. Loved characters - their shared history and care for each other. Their friendship was and is what brings them into what was supposed to be marriage of convenience but turns into real love story instead. They are each others comfort and safe place. Easy to read, loved the Author's style and story-line with all family's secrets and turns. Can't wait for more books in this series.

I really like Lex and Keys and whilst their upbringings were different they are true to themselves and meeting again is perfect timing. Seeing Lex uncover and work through the challenges of returning home and both them them going into things wanting more was great and I can not wait for the next in the series!.

Nicole does what she does best and weaves a story that entrances you. I absolutely love how she has obstacles her characters have to overcome but does it without unnecessary angst, hate, cheating or anything over the top. Her characters have integrity, morals and a sweet love to hold it all together. Just brilliant. Honest review.
This was a great “second chance” trope when you didn’t even see the “first chance” when it was right in your face. This was a wonderful story of the many facets of a relationship! I loved its progression from friends, friends to the possibility of more, to friends in love forever.
