I was so excited to read this book, after seeing a teaser on TikTok. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. While the book had the necessary elements to make a fantastic story, it lacked cohesiveness. There were several unanswered questions that I felt would have elevated the story had they been answered. There were also tons of proofreading errors that drove me crazy. Usually I can overlook them, but they left me feeling like the project had been rushed.

It was a good story and worth reading, but it left me frustrated.

How could he stand by and watch his wife for two years while knowing she didn’t know who he was and loved her enough for the two of them, only to make her fall back in love again. Omg the best!!! And that train scene!! You can’t do that 😂😂 honestly this book will be with me for a while. Also the cover 😱😱❤️❤️ stunning!! I am defo goin to read more from you

Listen…Was the grammar, not the best?…. Yeah
Was there some plot holes?….. Yeah

but it wasn't anything I couldn't look past. this book was just too good. I loved every second of it, could not put it down.

The author is nineteen…..

I would have never guessed a nineteen-year-old wrote this pls….I have read books that 40 years old wrote and it was like a 5-year-old wrote it…

All credit to this author well done girl bravo 👏🏼👏🏼 looking forward to Reading more from this author

I’ll admit, I was baited from a TikTok I saw 😂😭 I instantly added it to my KU library, but I figured it was going to end up left unread because I’m a huge mood reader, with an ever growing TBR pile. But then for the next day or two, I kept thinking about this book and ended up starting it on Saturday and finishing it on Sunday 🫣 I absolutely devoured this book from start to finish, I thought it had such a good story line. I loved the plot twists and I loved how in love Ares was with Alexandra. I loved how he truly went to the ends of the earth for her love, her heart. Ugh. What I would do to read this book for the first time again.

Butttt, I do want to warn future readers that this book does have some errors throughout the story. Most of them, I was able to over look, but there was one or two parts where I was left a little confused with how it was written (error or not). This book also left me with a couple of unanswered questions. But honestly even with these problems, I still loved the book.

At one point in the book, I actually thought to myself that this book had slight Wattpad vibes, and come to find out, that’s because it was one. Which no shame to that, in fact, that might be why I loved it so much. It just had those fun, captivating vibes and elements that made me unable to put this book down. I’m definitely still thinking of this book a couple days after reading it, so I think other people will enjoy it as well.

Storyline: 5/5 stars — had me hooked from the start… now I’m stuck searching for a similar book to get the same fix 😭 I miss the characters already.

I honestly love this book sm. when i found out it was going to be put on KU i died from excitement. this was one of the first books i read on wattpad and i loved it. ares is my suga daddy🙈. ik alexandra forgave catherine but i hated that bitch. like how she gon have the audacity to fucking body shame alex and then run to her when she needs help. even if she did “apologize” it was a weak ass apology. alex was so sweet to forgive her but she shouldn’t have imo. imo i would have just helped catherines little sister and slam the door in catherines face. i just hate that bitch. nobody deserves to go through abuse but she just infuriates me. when she was saying all that shit to alex i was about to through my kindle across the room but i refrained. alex getter bolder and he standing up for herself made me feel like a proud mama. i hated alexandras parents they were such bitches. how are they gonna hide something so big from her after she lost her memories just bc they have certain beliefs. they were pussys for that imo. anyways aunt coraline was the only one in the family that had some common sense. she was also very supportive unlike the other bitches in her family. sorry for my language but some of the characters infuriated me and im just expressing my emotions. diávolos and angelos🤞🏼

„Oh Alexandra, I don't think we can be just friends."
My heart sank at his words, fearing I had done something wrong. “And why is that?"
He leans in closer.
“Because I can't cross the line of wanting you undereath me if I’m just your friend. So, no, we're not going to be friends."

I love Alexandra and Ares with my whole heart!❤️

I don’t care what any of you say i, I LOVED THIS BOOK. Okay so I’m a sucker for romance, smoochy smoochy stuff, and those spicy scenes mhhhh. This book literally has it all, the plot twists, the characters, UGH just everything. It flowed so well and made perfect sense.

At first i thought it was going to be something about a creepy ass murdering stalker, and they annoy me sometimes, but then it got good, and it alllll made sense. Everything about it was just so sweet, it made me feel depressed, it made me realise how lonely i actually am haha!!! All jokes. Everything to the tattoos, the drawings. What especially got me was towards the end, where it was the “two years later” chapters, he repeated everything that he said to her in the past in the present, and when i realised i was literally like this -> 😍 it was so cute. AND GOSH LETS TALK ABOUT THOSE SPICY SCENES. The headboard breaking? Absolutely iconic. The car scene when Ares’ brother caught them, woah, that was absolutely amazing. The humour as well, very good. I did kinda want to know what happened after the train track, i wanted to know a slight bit kore on that, it kinda just ended halfway i feel like. But otherwise i cannot fault it, absolutely perfect!!! Omg and how could i forget, when she bit him, and then on the final (extra chapter) he had it FUCKING TATTOOED LIKE HELLO?? oh god and the knife as well, SHEEEEEEEE. Super sexy and spicy, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

I liked it, but there were some elements bothering me.
A fast paced romance is fine with me, especially considering the plot here, it would be weird if it wasn't. But a lot of events were brushed over too quickly, or things happened within the relationship which we didn't see and that bothered me. For example when they got back together Alex stated that their relationship was great again, but we only saw them agree to get back together. When did things became great??

The Diavolo thingy was really intriguing and interesting but it was cast aside for most of the book once his identity was revealed, we don't even know what he was really doing, the thought process, nothing. I think that's really too bad because it was an important and interesting side of the story.

The whole Catherine thing seemed rushed too. Alex forgave her but then we never saw them again. Same thing for the guy she befriended. He seemed a pretty cool addition into Alex's life but then he disappeared. And what about the Catherine and Adonis thingy?

All in all I liked the plot, I liked Ares' devotion to Alex, I liked almost all the characters and everything was great for me but I feel like we missed too much important events. Things were started but not finished by the end of the book and I regret that because it could have been such a feast.

Jesus Christ! This book literally broke me in so many ways. The way the author has you in suspense and captivating my emotions was so satisfying. I couldn’t help the way my hands shook when I was reading some of the thrilling scenes, or how my heart was pounding so hard. Then the author had to rip my heart out and had me bawling my eyes out when Ares said goodbye! I am glad that I was able to read the rest because it ended in such a good note. I will say this book was definitely a slow burn in some parts but soooo worth it in the end. This was the first book I read by this author and it did not disappoint.

This book has a great plot as well as very detailed descriptions of each characters characteristics and wants and desires! There is also an amazing plot twist within this story that will grasp the readers attention and leave them wanting more! On another note I think that a few of the scenes can feel a little corny if you aren’t used to late teens early twenties love stories! All around enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great love story!

Ares and Alex were definitely made for each other ❤️ a story of heartbreak, and love and finding your way to the person your meant to be with regardless of circumstance.

Now don’t get me wrong I did enjoy this book, but felt a bit lost throughout. The base of the story was really good and I would’ve loved it but I feel like it could’ve been refined and laid out timeline wise a bit more.

So I read this in 2 days, I hated and loved it, like a car crash you couldn't look away? The spelling mistakes and timeline errors drove me crazy, and annoyingly could see the plot twists coming a mile off, but I still enjoyed the book! I recommend the read, but try not to let the errors annoy you!

I loved the romance but there were so many gaps in the storyline, I wish certain plot points were developed further instead of having lots of unfinished or rushed parts.

I also think the whole Diavolos aspect could have been completely disregarded from the storyline and it would have been better.

Idk if it was just reading it on kindle but I also had so many spelling and grammatical errors.

I was pretty excited to read this one and while it was pretty good there were certainly some loose ends. There were several unanswered questions or loose ends leading it feel a bit rushed. With that being said maybe there will be a part two in which those things were addressed. Overall there were some pretty great scenes and I was so in love with the way they loved one another.

I’ve gotta stop reading booktok reccs. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good cringe read.. but can you not have AI proof read or something? Microsoft word? The grammar/punctuation in this book is atrocious. My text messages are easier to read. “Tires” was spelt “tyres”. The storyline has potential, but the continuous typos and run-on sentences make it tough to get through.

This book was EVERYTHING!! I feel like a lot of romances that I read don’t necessarily have much a plot or storyline but this oneeeeee oh my. The tension, background, characters literally everything was amazing. I read this book on Wattpad and im still blown away. she really ate with this one. 100/10

Honestly this was no bad, I feel it's more 3.5 stars. It was a little predictable but still good. And the spice was there. It did get a little confusing on who was talking sometimes but overall a good story with good plot/spice.

Now don’t get me wrong… I ATE this up. But it was more of a guilty pleasure thing.
If you love picking up a good “bad” book every once in a while and can joke about all the spelling errors, then this might be up your alley.

Rushed Ending

The ending came out of nowhere and didn't acknowledge anything that happened or how it resolved. Was rushed and more seemed to happen in the last quarter then the rest of the book.

The idea was there

I couldn’t pull myself to read every word written. It had a good plot and I liked the read. I just couldn’t get over the way it was rushed in the beginning or how it was written. I feel as though it was predictable, but overall, it was a good read.
