I vaguely remember reading this book. I thought I did a review on this but apparently not. Didn't really like the female lead much, she was irritating, pushy and naive. Loved the male lead however, growly and oh so alpha~

Lainey needs someone to find her kidnapped brother and Gideon Wolfe agrees to help her not knowing that her intent is to come along. As they start their journey there is immediate tension between then. Gideon is strong, sexy and mysterious. Lainey is head strong and spunky. The two of them feed off of each other and you feel the sexual tension ignite on the pages. The sex scenes are both passionate and sensual yet raw and extremely erotic as well. The location of the story lends to eroticism and as I read the scenes I could almost feel the heat and sweat myself.
Ms. Hunter creates an engaging and sensual story that keeps you interested throughout. What I really appreciate about her writing is there is not a lot times spent on the size of the heroine, nor does she create a character with hangups about her size. Lainey wanted Gideon and had no concers about being with him, regardless how attractive she found him to be. She had the level of confidence that I would hope all women would have no matter size or shape. For this I applaud Ms. Hunter for allowing her female characters to be bold and uninhibited.
Captive Heart will definitely be added to one of my favorite BBW books of all time and look forward to reading future books by the talented author.

I loved this. It a story about a sister going to great lengths to save her brother. But fate has more in mind for her as she decides to go with the mercenary she hired to save him. If all mercenaries are like him then point me in that direction because he will set you on fire. The sex scenes are hot, hot, hot! I have found my new book boyfriend. This is definitely a book that you want to read. I stayed up through the night because I had to finish it. I hope to hear more about Gideon and Lainey in a future book.

Steamy Adventure!
This book was Gifted to me by the Author Adriana Hunter for an honest review.
This is a short, but good adventure story.
I could actually feel the aggravation that Gideon felt at having Lainy force herself to accompany him on her brothers rescue mission. Little did she know of the dangers that await her in the jungle!
How could she expect him to act any differently towards her? She just got herself into a situation she never expected of danger, will it be death, passion or love?

Captivating and seducing story in the jungles of South America. The threat and uncertainty in the air while on a mission to rescue Lainey's brother from kidnappers, Gideon and Lainey falls for each other.
The attraction is hot and sensuous. The rescue dangerous and daring.
It is a short read, the plot had material to make it a full length book. I would have enjoyed more insight to the characters.
It ends with HFN.

Not badly written for what it was. Just not my sorta book I guess.
I got bored. Bored with the H who just wanted to get rid of the h (understandably, cause I wanted to get rid of her too), and with the h, who for some ridiculous reason wanted to go the jungle to "help" rescue her brother from kidnappers. Really, how TSTL can she get. And then it ends in a HFN.

Action packed, Riveting and exciting
Nothing like a little danger to get the emotions flowing. This was a very well written action packed story with some good sex in-between. Loved the interplay between the characters and the sister who will do what needs to be done to get her brother back. Could not put down the fast read of a story. Another great job by the author.

This was just ok for me. There was nothing wrong with the story really, though it was a bit over the top. I think maybe if it had been longer it would have been better with more character development. It was hard to get into it and the characters weren't all that believable. Had it been a longer story I think character development would have allowed me to believe the story more.

The female lead was extremely whiney and stubborn. She needed someone to save her brother but she wouldn't just let the guy she was paying do the job. It would be one thing if she had actually been capable but she wasn't. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm going to supervise you and get in your way while you do the job. I dislike ppl like that.

I love an alpha male
One of my favorite alpha males is a mercenary who takes on righteous jobs for heroines in need. And "in need" does not mean needy. This heroine was not about to be left behind. She can hold her own. Great book.

I purchased this book as part of a set entitled "Crazy About Curves". Give me a man like Gideon Wolfe any day!!! This short story was full of hot and sexy romantic suspense! It didn't feel too short and had plenty of passion! I loved every delicious second of it!

A short,sweet romance set in the jungle of Belize between a Uni professor and hired mercenary. Some things came across too soppy,while others had extreme potential - if it was ever rewritten as a novel.
