The Wicked Chase is a collection of novellas set in the Monterrey Castle universe.
This is a series of stories about rich guys that have no limits and that will never take no for an answer.
It is hot, d!rty ( in the best way ), quick, fun, and super spicy.
Each novella explores a different k!n.k, but they also share some.
I will leave below the reviews from each novella. It's gonna be a lot, but trust me when I tell you, I absolutely love this collection and highly recommend it to any da/rk romance reader out there.

COLLARED - novella one
In this novella, we are back at Monterrey Castle, Saint-Laurent Boarding College for boys.
We are back, and we are back in style.
We are back, and we get to see the others as well.
You have no idea how happy I am to see and hear about my Dominique and my Gaël. I love those two to d3ath, and now I'm conflicted because Maël and Thurel have my heart, too.
As always, Lola did it. She actually did it. I don't know how she was able to make me cry reading so many sexy scenes. For real, she is a mastermind. She never disappoints. She delivers every single time, and she does it with class. Her way of combining a good story, full of chemistry and longing with history, knowledge, etc, is truly unique. You are not reading smut. It's poetry in motion. She has a way with words that it is rare. It touches something in my heart that was neglected for so long. It's like her mind is connected to my soul, and what she writes is a conclusion to that connection.
I will forever be grateful for finding her books. I will forever be happy to have met her character. I can't wait to get back to Saint-Laurent Boarding College and read the other stories.
Thank you for the copy, Lola. As always, your book made me feel, cry, swoon, cry some more, and think. Thank you for writing books that are more than what meets the eye. You are one of a kind.
Go read her books, go read this novella, but first read Crown of Disguise, you will not regret it.

TRAPPED - novella two
If you are looking for a short and sweet novella, this ain't it!
My God... they are getting better and darker. Just how I like 'em.
The wicked chase is not for everyone... not for everyone to see, not for everyone to participate. The wicked chase is for a select few who are the elite of Saint-Laurent.
See, this college is not your typical institution. It is filled with rich, powerful people... the people who do not live by the same rules we all live by.
Arsène is not your typical mmc either. He is that cr*zy b*stard that lives his life following his own rules.
Robin is learning this the hard way when he finds himself trapped in his web.
This novella might be short, but it is hot, dark, and twisted.
Please read the TW and take them seriously because there are some elements in here that are not for everyone.
This is a 5✨️ for me. The only complaint that I have is that this is not a full novella. I want more. I need more. Their story just begins, and I want to be there with them along the way.

HUNTED - novella three
What I love the most about these novellas is the fact that we get to see the elite being the elite... doing elite stuff. Unhinged stuff, cuz when you have that much money, the least you can do is play hard, right?
Alexandre is someone I couldn't wait to meet. I was curious about his since the first novella.
I loved how this one was actually quite different from the first 2. The pace was different. We got to see quite a few new characters, and we interacted with Golden Mask quite a lot. We also found out a bit about the other masks.
Do you know what else we had the pleasure of seeing or hearing about? Gaël & Dominique, my babies.
This is the 3rd novella of The Wicked Chase, which means you can read it as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading Crown of Disguise first, then Collared, Trapped, and then this one. As I already mentioned, we get to see other characters in this one... you don't want to spoil the previous books for yourself instead of actually discovering the stories and the characters.
Lola did it again. She actually improves with each book she writes, and you can see it even with these novellas. She works so much on this universe, and I hope a lot more people will give it a chance and discover it. It is not what you expect, not something you've seen before.
I can't wait to see what Golden Mask has in store for us. The final installment in this series is about to drop in a few weeks, and I'm here for it.
Alexandre, go take a seat at the Kings table next to Gaël & Arsène. You deserve it, my baby love. Mon choux.

MARKED - novella four
I've read this novella 2 months ago and can't stop thinking about them...
The Gold Mask caught my eyes since the first novella, and I kept waiting and waiting for his story... Lola really wanted to save the best for last, but all the guys are awesome, so it would be unfair to say this... too much 😅
Edouard and Romain were IT. They were THAT couple that was inevitable. There is no way in h/ell these two wouldn't end up together.
This story was different from all the other ones. It was MORE.
More passion, more love, more feelings, more history. They were just MORE.
I wish this would be one day a full novel because there's so much more to them than what we found out. I want to spend more time with them, see them together, live life with them.
Being the last novella, we got to see all the other guys as well, and it was so much fun. I missed them all, and I cried when I got to spend some more time with them.
Highly recommend. This was for sure my fav out of the series, but shhh, don't tell Arsène and Alexandre 🤭.

Hungry to track his prey down and play with it. That is the game. The losers go home, the winner becomes our new brother.”
These novellas were all amazing and spicy. I loved seeing other characters in this world. As always, Lola's writing and flow were perfect and engaging. Seeing the elite unhinged and uninhibited was something else. Not to mention all the exhibitionism 🥵🥵🥵.
Collard: Silver Mask
"Come here, sweet Thurel. My chosen one. You decided to participate in the Wicked Chase. I hunted you down. Now, I've come to collect my prize."
Mael and Thurel were so hot and sweet together. Mael knew he wanted Thurel from day one and is super possessive. Mael is also confident, quiet, yet very romantic in his darkness. Thurel wants a better life as he thinks his life is too average and lacking something. These two together in the chase were 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Trapped: Copper Mask
"You are prickly and reserved. You are creative, intelligent, and interested in plenty of subjects, but when someone gives you a compliment, you become snappy and distant. You fascinate me."
Arsene and Robin were such opposites but so perfect for each other. Robin is grumpy, artistic, lonely, and doesn't think he's good enough due to his family. Arsene is creepy, darker, quiet, yet very sweet. Arsene had his eyes on Robin for some time and finally got to claim him. Their chase was quite kinky and dark 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Hunted: Bronze Mask
"Tonight will be different, I told you this. Tonight we'll both be fed, little wolf. First I'll hurt you, then I'll soothe your wounds. And then we'll join our brothers for the initiations. How does that sound?"
Alexandre and Olivier were e everything. I was so excited for their story as this was Olivier's 3rd Wicked Chase. He kept coming back for Alex. These two were bound to end up together and I was so happy to see the timid, lonely librarian finally get his overprotective stalker Bronze Mask! I also loved how much Alex brought out of Oli. 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Marked: Gold Mask
"Edouard makes me whole. He makes me crave things I shouldn't crave. He makes me love things I shouldn't love. He's lethal, he is pitch-black."
Oh boy, this last novella was EVERYTHING! I've been waiting for Gold Mask's story and it was fantastic! Edouard is a psycho and obsessive/possessive. He was my favorite character lol. He was a beautiful maniac but romantic and attentive. Romain came from nothing and has no one. His mother abandoned him for drugs and a debt, so Edouard's father bought him as a pet. They fall in love then part then reunite in college again where Gold Mask finally takes his chase. This was a kinky and perfect story! I loved all the characters and kinky shenanigans 🤪. Perfect way to end this story 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

More like 4.5 stars. Lots of little editing errors, but they don’t affect the story. Over all this is written well, I enjoyed the story lines and the background scenes. When I read the triggers, I thought this book would be out of my comfort zones and really dark but I actually found it rather entertaining and a little tame.
For what ever reason I couldn’t rate this book through my kindle app, so no Amazon rating, sorry.

Hauntingly Beautiful Stories
This whole series was smoking hot. I loved the intensity of this book. I loved that they all got a happy ending. The push and pull was fantastic. I wish they were all longer and I want many more of these books. The kitten was the cherry on top.

Even though I own all four books . I also own this and it is a great way to get your fix of all 4 books without having to download them all individually
