To call author Jordan R. Young's 1988 book "eclectic" would be a gross understatement. Using a profile-and-edited-monologue format, rather than the usual Q&A style, Young's collection of 22 show business interviews ranges from well-known names like Jack Nicholson and Jack Lemmon to obscure figures such as Dorothy Revier and Doodles Weaver. It is nonetheless informative and entertaining. My own favorite interview is Mousie Garner's (who?), whose story dovetails remarkably with that of the Three Stooges. It is amazing that Young has met so many remarkable people. A treat for lovers of character actors and other eccentric types.
