такий лайтовий дарк, де декораціями виступають мотоклуб та знімальний майданчик фільму. і от чого точно не очікувала, так це насиченої концентрації гумору. я посміхалась безліч разів, і це не могло не тішити. кожен діалог найкращих подружок еміті та невеї можна розбирати на цитати - це скарб 😁
джі - віце-през мотоклубу, весь татуйований байкер із пірсингами в усіх цікавих місцях 🤤 а насправді милий і ніжний для свого кола. для ворогів же він повністю виправдовує назву книги - цілим від нього не втечеш 💀😈
еміті - відважна каскадерка, розумна, впевнена в собі дівчина, ще й гостра на язик. плюс травматичне минуле, і виходить портрет жгг, які мені подобаються 😎
сюжет легкий для сприйняття, багато діалогів, а коли почнете трохи втрачати увагу, авторка додасть переслідувача, листи з погрозами, дрібку драми, ревнощів, перестрілок, тому сумувати точно не прийдеться.
сподобалось, як динамічно понеслась друга половина книги. під кінець правда спочатку трохи засмутилась через викриття переслідувача, але авторка залишила на фінал ще один твіст, який мене більше порадував і додав напруги 🤓
також не можна не зацікавитись історією другорядних персонажів. хевок та невея, і особливо ганнібал, чекайте на мене 💃

Ті байкери такі гарячі 🔥 ну хто може встояти перед ними? Та ніхто😄
Спочатку мені не подобалась книга, було бажання закинути, але я така «ні, ти мусиш читати далі» мені було важко, не могла ті імена запам’ятати, ті їхні терміни, ще в мене склалось враження шо перед першою мала бути ще книга, бо вони про шось таке говорити, про таких людей шо я поняття не маю хто це. І оце трохи збивало. Ще події відбувались так швидко, я така «стооооп я нічого не розумію»😄
Потім було так мило і гаряче, хто би міг подумати що Джі такий миленький, мені так сподобалось як він ставився до Еміті, що він їй говорив 🥹

Не зовсім мій стиль написання, але я обожнюю персонажів та сюжети цієї авторки. Не пам'ятаю, коли востаннє так сміялася. Я очікувала чогось темного, але це така забавна книга😄 Головну героїню та її подружку можна розбирати на цитати.

Rest in Pieces is one of those romances that hits you with humor, heat, and heart all at once. Amity is a total standout—sarcastic, smart, and tough as nails, but also human in the moments she lets her guard down. She’s the kind of heroine you can’t help but root for, especially when she meets Genesis, the tattooed biker with a rough exterior and a surprisingly tender side.
Their chemistry is the real engine of the story. From the first sparks of tension to the slow build of trust and desire, Wright does a fantastic job of making the romance feel earned. They tease, challenge, and push each other’s buttons in ways that are equal parts funny and steamy. But it’s not just the sexual tension that keeps you reading—it’s the emotional connection beneath the surface. This was a different take on mc with the h being a stuntwoman and former Olympic gymnast. She is feisty and funny. She’s also witty and wise. The H falls fast but still comes across as strong. This is like another book i read by this author it has a ton of characters from past books and some that you can tell will be future Leads. That made the book busy and a bit frustrating since I haven’t read all of her books. I would probably like that if I had read all of her books in the suggested reading order. I do want to go back and read the suggested order so I’m giving it 5 stars. Low angst ow drama because both characters are in love and stifle that right away.

3.5 stars, I enjoyed this one. It has strong heroines and sexy bikers, what’s not to like?
Amity is a stunt woman and I like that I could respect her skills. G was ok, seemed hot. The best part was her relationship with “Pippin” and segueing into Havocs story.

He looks confused, which annoys me. It’s not funny if I have to explain it.

She does it again!! I love The Underestimated series and Apex Tactical world so much!! I was looking forward to this one cause I miss being in it. This did not disappoint 🤩 Not only do we get to catch up with some of our fav characters, but you get to fall in love with Genesis, and Like every FMC in this world, you will love Amity so much. There is always a strength to every female character in these books that I just wanna be around. I need them in my real life cause they just seem like the greatest friends you could ever have. The spice was so good, and so was the action. I also loved her bestie Tinkerbell lol. I cannot wait for her story smh. That tease at the end has me drooling for it! Amazing job, and please, if you haven’t read all the books in this world, then stop what you’re reading and grab book one of the underestimated series! You won’t regret it!!

I think that unless you’ve read all the books from all the different series this author has written, you’ll be a bit lost, like me🤭there’s a whole lot of characters and crossovers that’s confusing at times, but it also just makes me wanna read all her other books🤷🏽♀️
Amity and G was so wholesome from the start, their obsession with each other was just amazing!
I also really love the whole dynamic with the club, it’s so freaking great and really well written!

Rest in Pieces by Candice Wright is the first book in the Raven Soul MC Series. This is a dark MC romance; I’d put it on a lighter side, kinda grey. This book was absolutely amazing, a great story to start this series, the writing is great, giving us great character development, world-building and plot. Absolutely loved the main and side characters. The spice is off the charts and is not a slow burn.
The FMC, Amity, is a bad-a$$, strong and feisty you will fall in love with her right from the beginning.
The MMC, G or Genesis, a MC member clumping high in the ranks; he has some of the most memorable scenes of this book, and they are hilarious. He’s a bad boy outside but a huge teddy bear inside.
Audiobook: duet style performance by Meg Sylvan and Antony Palmini, they came as the perfect cast for this story. Meg for some reason always surprises me with how well she takes on a role and makes it her own, bringing up the uniqueness and the qualities of that character to the forefront. She was absolutely perfect!
Antony is such a chameleon, he moulds so well with his character, giving us an unforgettable performance, showcasing his personality in every word he says. Both set the perfect tone for the story, giving us a way to get hooked from the beginning not only by the wrong but also by their amazing storytelling.

Great story! The plot was good and had some twists. The chemistry and spicy scenes between the FMC and MMC was 🔥 And the banter between all the characters was some of the best I’ve listened to. I loved the characters! Amity and her best friend were something else. They definitely kept me entertained as well as the G and the MC characters. I giggled, kicked my feet, swooned and even got a little teary eyed. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this one. It was even a little unique with the FMC being a badass stunt woman. I love MC romance and this one did not disappoint. I can’t wait to listen to the next book!
The narration performed in duet by Meg Sylvan and Anthony Palmini was so good! I love how well their voices complimented each other. They captured the characters, their personalities, and their emotions perfectly. They really brought this story to life. I didn’t want to stop listening.

Stuntwoman - Amity (FMC) has had a difficult life that has led up to the job she has now. The new movie she's working on leads her to the Raven Souls MC and biker Genesis. Both of which don't make a brilliant first impression. I'll tell you I haven't laughed as much in a whilst reading a book. More so Amity's quick with, sarcasm and one liners. Omg the Probe and the Alien Insemination quip had me dying laughing!! The banter she had with Nevaeh was just outstanding!! All of that was surrounded by some great plot twists and turns as well as a lot of MC characters I really liked. I'm hoping to read more from them in future books? A cracking start to this series.

Ok. So. I LOVED that the FMC held her own and was smart and sassy and good at her job but the side plots were EVERYWHERE there was like six stories in one and I just got so confused at times then a bit frustrated
The MMC was down bad and that’s fine and I liked it but also he had no real depth. This just wasn’t my favorite.

I thought I would never find a good book on KU again bc it seems like most these days are trash. 🥴I was wrong. This was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the next book in this world.
Main characters and side characters are all interesting. Amity the fmc is a stuntwoman. G is a MC VP.
I loved the plot (ig there are two main ones-but it makes more sense when you read it bc the second one doesn’t show itself until half way in the book).
Romance is built, even if shallowly at first, & it was a bit fast paced and tied to hooking up for a bit. Spice was medium. It worked bc both folks thought it was a temporary thing🤷🏻♀️
Idk what to really say other than it was paced well, flowed nicely and I enjoyed all the side characters.
There is a touch of OW drama but do not worry if you hate that bc G only has eyes for his woman. And nothing happens.
There is one part that you are led to believe he might have but if you piece it together you know he didn’t. And it comes out in the end. So no worries.

Rest in Pieces (Raven Soul MC #1) Candice Wright. Amity is now a stunt double. She loves her job and is very good at it. Once an Olympic gymnast, a terrible car accident crushed her dreams. When a movie she is working on brings her into Raven Soul MC territory, she ends up meeting an extremely drunk guy from the MC. Being the bad behind chick she is, she decides to take her drunken friend to his club. Needless to say, it didn't go well. After receiving some disturbing news, Genesis decides to go to a bar in town where he proceeds to get hammered. The next morning, all he knows is his head hurts, and he was brought back to the club by a fabulous woman. Genesis knows he has finally met the one, and Amity knows that once the movie finishes shooting, she will be driving off to the next film. Boy, was she wrong. Amity and Genesis are quite the couple, and their journey was hot and sexy along with being extremely entertaining. It was nice to see and hear about some of the characters from the previous books. Afterwords I definitely wanted to reread the entire series just so I could remember everyone's story. All the previous books were so good. And what would an MC club be without inter and outer division, lies, and betrayal. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. A great start to the Raven Soul MC series. Hopefully, Havoc's story will be next. 4 stars for me.

Candice Wrights MC books just hit different you know?
Yes they can be cringy and you see the plot twists coming, but they are fun, the writing doesn’t rot your brain and this one in particular had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through.
HUGE ANNOYANCE at the end though that is gonna bug me for fucking weeks. No mention of reaching out to jacks wife after he admitted to PEDOPHILIA!? Like what the actual fuck? We just needed one line saying the daughter was getting the support she needed. Huge character flaws exposed. Like come on!? Yes I am way too bothered, but legit wtf?

I know Amity said she couldn’t remember much, and maybe the video footage didn’t have audio?? Only explanation. I think it was left open for a potential book in the future about Amy. Why else include her by name? Similar to a previous novel yeh? Okay now I’ll stop dwelling on it.
Yes they can be cringy and you see the plot twists coming, but they are fun, the writing doesn’t rot your brain and this one in particular had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through.
HUGE ANNOYANCE at the end though that is gonna bug me for fucking weeks. No mention of reaching out to jacks wife after he admitted to PEDOPHILIA!? Like what the actual fuck? We just needed one line saying the daughter was getting the support she needed. Huge character flaws exposed. Like come on!? Yes I am way too bothered, but legit wtf?

Rest in Pieces by Candice Wright was such a great read. This MC romance had me feeling everything as G and Amity fight the odds while figuring out their attraction and what it really means for them. Their journey kept me hooked, and the side characters added both humor and depth that made the story even more enjoyable. The motorcycle club portion of the story felt fairly authentic, which added to the overall atmosphere of the book.
One of my favorite parts was the banter. The humor woven throughout the story balanced the heavier moments perfectly. I also loved Amity as a strong FMC and how G appreciated the fire in her instead of trying to change who she was. That dynamic made their relationship even better to watch unfold.
Some parts of the plot were a bit predictable, but the twist at the end definitely caught me off guard. It was a great way to wrap things up.
The audiobook performance was fantastic. Blue Nose Audio consistently delivers, and Meg Sylvan and Anthony Palmini did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Their performances added so much emotion and personality to the story.
I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys motorcycle club romances.

It wasn’t all about the romance.
I thoroughly enjoyed the start of this new series! The female lead was absolutely hilarious, and the secondary characters were fantastic, especially the female lead’s best friend and the members of the motorcycle club. While there was some good action, what really stood out to me were the characters, particularly because of the humor. The romance actually took a backseat to all of that for me. I’m excited to see what the next book has in store!

After helping him home things start to get interesting. This wasn’t your typical dark biker romance. At least not the beginning as it’s more comedic feel the first 40%. Then the story picks up with more of a protective MC romance vibe with action and a twist. Told in first person and dual POV.

hmmmm hello? i loved this so much!
i love how candice writes her MC men and now with this MF series i’m just in heaven 😌
it’s a lighter mc but captivating nonetheless 🧚🏼 she gives us action, romance, swoon-worthy moments and some greattttt sex scenes
also, love how she was able to give us a little bit of every member from the MC as well as the club bunnies….
i can’t wait for havoc’s book 😀 i need to be living in the future, more especifically in january of 2025

Loved it! Went in completely blind. Surprised it was a MC romance. I loved Amity and Nevaeh's friendship and banter and how G falls hard and fast for Amity. She is so strong and such a bada**. Didn't want this one to end. I can't wait for book 2. I'm definitely going to need to get to Candice's previous series.

I devoured this book in one sitting, it completely captured my attention and I am buzzing for havoc and neevaghs story!

Good except…
This author clearly likes representation which is fine I guess but if you want to write about a woman who gets a hysterectomy and loses an ovary, know her ‘intimate’ limitations. She can’t just do what you wrote….
