Can dating via an app turn into something more when Ollie hides a major part of himself—how overweight he is?

An invitation to an all-expenses paid cruise of a lifetime from his best friend, Leeson, who is getting married, is really exciting for Ollie. Or it would be if the man he was sharing a cabin with wasn't the same man he was secretly dating online. The one man who he wants to get naked with—but doesn't because of how he feels about how he looks.

Beckett finds a boy who is the prefect Christmas Ollie. A visit home to Sweet Haven and Beckett discovers who Ollie is, just not what he looks like. He honors Ollie's decision to keep his appearance from Beckett over the following months as their relationship deepens. That is until Garrett asks him to be a groomsman at his wedding. Kismet, or the universe, his friend unknowingly gives Beckett the perfect opportunity to prove Ollie is the boy for him.
Now all he has to do is convince Ollie that the size of someone's waistline isn't what's important, but how generous their heart is.

This book is part of A Little Season Three multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?

Where does one start with about what I do?
I’m a writer, but I’m sure you guessed that by now if you’re reading this, hey? What you might not know is I’m a little quirky, live in my pj’s most of the time and have cake Saturdays with my sisters every week. I dedicate a little of my time to taking care of my grandbabies and on the dedicated writing days I like to write an eclectic mix of romance, suspense and paranormal fantasy. In the main I’ve written gay romance but I’m branching out under another the pen name in the future, so watch this space.
I’ve a passion for books like you would not believe and it led me down this path and now I’ve over 29 books released and heading towards releasing a whole lot more. The way my head is I never know where I’ll be headed next. I hope you’ll find a little joy in my words and follow me to see where the journey takes me and you.
If you’re interested at some point in 2021 I’ll be writing under the name JP Paton which will be F/M crime and Fantasy two of my favourite things. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled 

It was a fun little story. I was getting a little frustrated at one of the main characters. I understand having self doubt about yourself having image problems like I get all that, but I feel like if somebody is showing you that they want to be with you and they’re putting in the work you should be willing to put in the work as well. It was so frustrating because I could tell his man was trying, and he was just doubting and doubting. I also felt like there were some grammar errors or was a vocabulary errors. I don’t know how you would say it and for somebody who also has the same problem but still noticed it just means it was obvious.

An invitation to an all-expenses paid cruise of a lifetime from his best friend, Leeson, who is getting married, is really exciting for Ollie. Doesn't everybody read Christmas stories in July when it's 97degrees? :)
Ollie is a 'little' who very much wants a "Daddy" but is afraid in to get out there and look. Online is safe...unless he does a video no one will see him...then he meets Beckett. He can’t help falling in love with him... from afar that is.... but he does so wish that he could meet him in person, for Christmas. What Ollie doesn’t know is that he will get his wish granted. He will meet Beckett in person; they will fall in love and go on a cruise with his best friends as part of their wedding and more importantly, he will find the courage to just "like himself" because Beckett loves him just exactly as he is.

Everyone that is not with a partner will be assigned a roommate for the cruise...guess who Ollie's roommate is going to be? Of course, you know, even if you don't read M/M romances. Ollie and Beckett are rooming... in the same room... together! Ollie finally gets to find out what a "real-life Daddy" is like and in the process, learns a bit more about loving himself just the way he is.

I really like a sweet Daddy/little story with a happy ever after ending. This story about finding the perfect person who loves you despite your personal hang ups, real or imaginary, and helps you see the real you. These two of guys were perfect together...and a sweet and perfect holiday treat even if it is July where I am.

A Little Christmas: Ollie by JP Sayle it's part of the third season of the A Little Christmas series by multiple authors. This is the story of Beckett and Ollie. If you've read Cruising Right into Love you have already met them. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick read, I read it in about 4 hours, because I stopped several times to do other things. I liked most of the books I've read by this author, so it wasn't a surprise.

For a holiday book, it was a good length and development. Of course, I'll always wish authors would give more details and depth to their stories and the lives of their characters, but I see that nowadays authors develop their stories less and less. So, within this limitation, the book was very good.

The story caught my attention, but despite that, it wasn't exciting. I say this because of the low self-esteem problem of one of the characters, which is the main drama, but even though it wasn't superficial, it didn't bring me that emotion and connection with him.

The relationship was well developed. The relationship time, despite the insta-love tone these books have, was not rushed; the relationship grew throughout the story. Hence my need to see more development of the two's lives TOGETHER in a real, in-person relationship.

Ollie discovered he was a Little as a teenager, but only as an adult did he decide to try it out on his own. He has serious low self-esteem issues due to being overweight. He starts a relationship with a Daddy through an app, afraid of the rejection he knew would come.
Beckett is a workaholic lawyer, Daddy. He starts a relationship with Ollie through an app, but due to Ollie's insecurities, he starts a long-distance relationship, even though he has never seen any pictures of Little. Everything changes when everyone goes to the wedding on the cruise of their best friends and there they finally meet, learning to work through their insecurities and manage their lives.

Dual POV. 1st Person. Ollie and Beckett.
Low angst. Mention of aggression suffered by a secondary character that occurred off-page. Fatphobia on the page, dealt with very quickly.
HEA. Contemporary Christmas.
No cheating. No physical harm or abuse.
Daddy/Little. Spanking (On the pages).

(I confess that I am not in the mood or disposition to review the books I have read, especially the ones I like. The ones I don't like, I just need to throw all my frustrations and bitterness at them).

FINALLY!!! Finally, I get Ollie and Beckett's story. After teasing me in Cruising Right Into Love and Sweet Haven, I'm so happy! You don't have to have read those stories to enjoy this one, but I have and I did.

Ollie is very sensitive about his weight and tries to hide under layers whenever possible. His best friend is having a cruise wedding though, so there won't be much opportunity to hide. He's been online dating for six months now and is still insecure, feeling that if Beckett actually sees him, he leave. Beckett has seen Ollie and wants him even more, but how is he supposed to make Ollie realise that?

What followed was a sweet, heartwarming, cavity-inducing story that wrapped me up in a warm hug and didn't let go. These two had issues, no doubt, their locations being just one, but when the two of them were together, I didn't stop to think about any of that. They were just so right for each other in every way.

I am so pleased their story has come out and I couldn't be happier for them. A brilliant story, beginning and wrapping up at Christmas, that I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Beckett is patient, very patient!

Ollie is the sweetest boy, sadly with low self-esteem. He thinks his chubby features make him less desirable or lovable. Oh, sweetie if you only knew!

Ollie and Beckett have been in contact through a dating app. They regularly talk. Beckett is a Daddy and wants nothing more than to meet Ollie in person. Ollie keeps that at arm’s length. Beckett has patience.
Ollie is sure that when Beckett sees him in real life and sees how he looks, he will be gone. Again if only he knew!

The stars are with them because, through work and friends, they are closer to each other than they knew.
Beckett was the first to understand.

On a cruise where Ollie’s best friend will get married, Beckett and Ollie share a cabin.
Beckett shows he desires Ollie, and is in full Daddy mode, and Ollie? He can’t believe what is happening!
He has trust issues and Beckett is determined to show him how much he means to him.

Oh my goodness what a wonderful read. Strongly captivated! Ollie is the sweetest boy, and Beckett is the best Daddy.
The whole story is wonderfully written, I love a good Daddy/boy story and this was certainly good!!

This was a sweet story of how little Ollie and Daddy Beckett found each other. It was sad how Ollie felt about his own body and how others had reinforced it but Beckett was perfect in the way that he treated it. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Absolutely beautiful

I have to admit being a total sucker for a good Daddy/boy story and this one just filled all my expectations!
Ollie is very insecure about his looks because of his weight - something I can totally relate to - having grown up with weight issues too. It really is about how you see yourself more than how others see you, and I loved how Daddy Beckett really worked to show Ollie that he loved all of him with no exceptions! I just wanted to hug Ollie so much and the whole story just resonated with me deeply. I'd love to read about Ollie and Beckett furthering their relationship - hint, hint, marriage - and the will definitely be checking out other books by this author. A heartwarming story that makes you believe in the power of love and Daddies, I highly recommend it!

Poor Ollie, he broke my heart! This obviously tied into a previous book that I have not read, as there were established characters and relationships, but it was not a hindrance to the story. Ollie is a shy little, with severe body insecurities. He meets his dream daddy online, but doesn't think he will ever be brave enough to meet in person. Beckett wasn't having it!!! This was a SUPER SLOW burn as Beckett worked to gain Ollie's trust and affection. There relationship was so sweet, and I adored Becketts daddy voice and authority. JP always knows how to draw the reader into the relationship while not giving everything away at the start. I loved these two, and hope there will be another Little season next year!!!

Ollie and Beckett story was endearing and magical.
I adored the way Beckett won Ollie’s heart, how slowly and patiently put his insecurities to rest, how with love and reassurance made him confident in himself.
Their first encounter face to face was hilarious and emotional.
Their time together, precious and filled with reaffirming gestures, as trust is gained and communication on a good track.
I loved their friends, the little and big surprises, as well as the events spent together.
It was an enjoyable holiday read, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the characters.

Ollie's lack of self esteem and self worth over his body size was so painful to read, it could bring tears to your eyes. Ollie, a sweet young man looking for a daddy to love and who would love him back was just heartbreaking. Beckett's presents, sweet words, and assurances to make Ollie feel loved made my heart melt. I liked that he was patient and willing to go those extra miles to insure Ollie felt loved and comfortable with him as his daddy. The road to love isn't easy, but then nothing worth having is ever easy.

This was such a sweet story. Ollie is struggling with his appearance, he doesn't feel that he is worth anything, because he doesn't look like a model, and carries a little extra weight. He finds Beckett on a dating service that caters to littles/daddies. Beckett is a successful lawyer, but is lonely. Beckett and Ollie talk over the phone for 6 months, with Ollie never letting Beckett see him. Unknown at first to both of them, they have some mutual friends, who are getting married. It's an ocean wedding on a cruise ship, and Beckett and Ollie get assigned to the same cabin....

Sweet

Aww! I loved Ollie and Beckett's story. Ollie finds the perfect Daddy online but is scared that Beckett won't like him due to his size. Little did Ollie know, size doesn't matter to Beckett. It's his heart and adorable little side that Beckett loves. I liked when they finally met in person. Beckett wasted no time proving to Ollie that he is meant to be his Daddy. This was really sweet with a little sadness when Ollie doubts himself.

It is a beautifully sweet story of a boy named Ollie finding his perfect daddy. beckett & Ollie started their relationship online slowly but surely getting to know one another before Ollie was more comfortable seeing Beckett. This poor soul is so insecure with his weight he just needed a daddy who loved him for his curves. Beckett is steadfast in reassuring his boy he has no issues but loves Ollie for who he is inside and out. They don't have an easy relationship it takes both of them time to adjust, but it works for them. With a supportive group of friends, they learn to have a healthy work and life balance. Absolutely adored the positive message of this story was a breath of fresh air to see.

Wanting a Daddy but insecure about his appearance, Ollie restricts himself to an online relationship with Beckett.
When a cruise with their friends brings them together in real life, Ollie learns that the the right Daddy will love you for who you are and not your appearance.

A lovely read about a patient Daddy who helps his boy learn to accept himself. The ending was lovely.

I absolutely adore JP Sayle’s books, especially during the holidays. This is a sweet story or love and acceptance - of learning to live ourselves. Beckett shows Ollie that he is worthy of love and always has been, that he can feel attractive in his own skin. So beautiful to read Ollie’s journey - Beckett is so perfect for him. Loved it!

Ollie and Daddy Beckett

A little that was hiding his true self from his friends and was very insecure about his weight. A Daddy that would do anything to prove that he sees his little and only his little. Being on a ship and no where to run and his from his Daddy helped build faith and love between Daddy Beckett and his little, Ollie.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Sometimes, Ms Sayle writes dark and deadly, sometimes things are just plain weird (rhubarb!) and sometimes, they are so delightfully cute and warm and fuzzies that the world is a brighter place.

This book falls into the last category, and I bloody loved it!

Ollie and Beckett meet online, and their relationship blooms over time. But Ollie will not let Beckett see him properly. Ollie is scared that Beckett will catch one look at him and run far away. But Beckett is far deeper than Ollie thnks, and the boy just needs to give Beckett a chance to prove that. Leeson's wedding cruise is that time.

I loved that Ollie and Beck got to know each other over time, their feelings brewing for the better part of a year. It meant that when they did meet, it was more about getting Ollie to see just how much he meant to Beckett, and how much Beckett wanted to be Ollie's Daddy, if only he'd let him.

I loved that there was overlap with Denton and Vic's book, Cruising Right Into Love. This book takes place alongside that one, on the cruise.

I loved how the focus of this book was NOT about the physical side of their relationship, but more about the emotional one. There is smexy times, but I found them very much low key and fade to grey, rather than up-in-yer-face type scenes. Loved it, to be honest.

This is part of the 3rd A Little Christmas series, a multi author series. I haven't read the others, but it's not necessary to really enjoy this one.

So much love in this book, and it hits all the warm and fuzzies and too stinking cute and low angst spots and I bloody loved it!

A Little Christmas Ollie by JP Sayle is a story about Ollie who wants a daddy but is afraid to put himself out there in real life. When he meets Beckett online he can’t help but fall in love with him from afar wishing he could meet him in real life for Christmas. What Ollie doesn’t know is that he will unexpectedly get his wish when he goes on a cruise with his best friends for their wedding. When they are randomly put together in the same room together Ollie finds out what a real life daddy is like and learns how to love himself in the process. I really loved this story of finding the perfect person who loves you despite your hang ups and helps you see the real you is just perfect for them. This story was so sweet and the perfect holiday treat that I just want to cuddle up with a fire and reread it all over again.
