For fans of Samantha Young, Sylvia Day, and E. L. James comes the sinfully sexy sequel to Breathless for Him. This emotional, erotic romance continues the story of Davison, a tempting billionaire who'd do anything to protect the woman he's devoted to, Allegra, even if it means losing her . . .
Two months ago, Allegra Orsini nearly lost the man of her dreams. Thankfully Davison Cabot Berkeley, a powerful billionaire who always gets what he wants, had refused to allow anything-or anyone-to come between them. Now back in the arms of the man she loves, Allegra receives an incredible proposal.
Allegra is invited to study under the opera world's most legendary diva. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity . . . but it means moving to Italy for a month. Thirty days without Davison's touch. Allegra isn't sure she can survive it-especially when Davison begins pulling away for reasons she can't figure out. Is the man who has given her more passion and pleasure than she has ever known about to break her heart? Soon Allegra starts to realize that Davison could be guarding a secret even more devastating . . .
Growing up in a bilingual family in Maplewood, NJ, Sofia Tate was a shy, good girl who attended Catholic school and never misbehaved. Now, she is a proud author of contemporary erotic romance. She graduated from Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY, with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Italian. She also holds an MATESOL from New York University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Adelphi University. She has lived in London and Prague. A former resident of New York City, Sofia currently lives in New York's Hudson Valley.
Devoted to Him is the sequel to Breathless for Him by Sofia Tate. When I first read the blurb for this one I knew I wanted to read it. At the time I had no idea that there was a previous book though, so I went into this one not having read the start of Allegra and Davison's relationship. While I understood this one completely and had no problems following the story, I have to say that I really want to go back and read the first book after finishing this one. I enjoyed this book a lot and I really liked the characters.
Allegra Orsini and Davison Berkeley almost lost each other two months ago, but they are stronger than ever now. When Allegra gets an offer to study under one of the most famous opera singers in the world, she knows that she can't turn the offer down even if it means being away from Davison for a month. But when Davison starts hiding things from her and pulling away, she begins to wonder if they can make it through the distance between them. Davison will do anything to protect Allegra, even if that means keeping secrets from the only woman he loves. When Allegra starts to realize that there might be more going on than she thought, she will do anything to show Davison that he can trust her. Can Davison and Allegra find a way to get through the obstacles in their way, or will the secrets tear them apart?
I really liked Davision and Allegra. These two were exactly what the name of the novel implied, one hundred percent devoted to one another. It was so refreshing to see a couple so dedicated and unrelenting in their love and feelings for one another. Despite everything going on, these two never wavereda bit and I absolutely loved that. Allegra was strong and talented, and I really liked that she was so determined to have everything she wanted. Davison was willing to give her anything she wanted, and yet she was determined to have him and her dream career. Davison was an amazing hero. He was so in love with Allegra and would do anything for her. While he insisted on looking out for her and protecting her constantly, he was also her biggest fan and supporter. I loved seeing the encouragement between these two and could really feel the connection that they shared. These two were beyond just connected emotionally though, and they were downright hot together. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and they generated a ton of steam!
Overall, I thought that this was a great story. I loved the characters and their relationship. I thought that the writing was great, and I really lost myself in the story. I didn't want to put this one down at all. I honestly can't wait to go back and read the start of their relationship to see how they got to where they were in Devoted to Him. Besides just loving Allegra and Davison though, I really liked the secondary characters, and found them to be just as interesting. If I have any criticisms at all it would be that while I love seeing the sexy and steamy side of a couple, I did feel as though that was a lot of this book. It seemed like these two were always being physical, and it did get a bit repetitive at times. But honestly the story was really good, and I didn't mind all that much. I look forward to reading more from Sofia Tate in the future, and can't wait to read Breathless for Him.

I had been waiting to read this book for like EVER!! After reading Allegra and Davisons beginning I couldn't wait to see where they were going to go and how it was going to work out.
Allegra ... I love her she is my bestie i just adore her beautiful face!
When I first too the plunge into this book I was so stoked to be reunited with her and D
I don't know why but Davison and Allegra remind me of Blair and Chuck from gossip girl like the love LOL. I may be the only one who thinks this but seriously think about it!!
Book 2 is gonna take you on a winding road of UP's and Down's and you will feel like what way is it gonna go, but in the end it is all worth it and you are complete again and the hole in your heart is some what healed.
I totally am in love with Sofia Tate she is beyond brilliant in her writing. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!
THIS IS A MUST READ ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE READ BOOK 1!!
This is a follow up to Breathless for Him. I don’t think you have to read the first to enjoy this one since the author is good at explaining and detailing many events, however, I do believe this would have been more enjoyable had I read it.
Allegra Orsini is an aspiring opera singer. This statement right there is exactly what drew me to the book. My best friend is an opera soprano so I know the personality plus I can’t recall any other romances that have used this as the leading female’s profession. Anyways, I digress. Allegra is feisty, smart, loyal, devoted. The list just goes on and on. She’s really quite a complex character which I realize more now than while reading the story.
Billionaire, Davison Berkeley, runs the family corporation his grandfather founded. He’s definitely an alpha male in a finely custom tailored suit. Who wouldn’t want a man crafted in the finer things of life but still likes to grunt and chest thump? For me, that’s a dream.
The pair have overcome some serious obstacles in the previous book with Allegra’s kidnapping but now with life back to their version of normal, they can focus on each other. Still yet, new road blocks emerge but nothing the two can’t conquer together. While there is some suspense in this story, it isn’t overwhelming. My perspective is the focus is more on their love and the evolution of their relationship than any secondary complications.
Here’s what the real takeaway is from this story. This couple loves the dirty talk and follows through in the bedroom, or the bathroom, or the car…well you get the picture. I can truly say all of their “relating” is memorable…and it is good and steaming and—oh my, now I’m blushing. This alone will keep me reading more from Sofia Tate. The fact that the story is well written with layered main characters is just icing on the cake.
This book is definitely erotic fiction. The language was as explicit as the sex scenes, which I felt, overwhelmed most chapters and, almost dwarfed the story at times. Perhaps, the story needed a younger reader, because I found the sex and language at times offensive and irritating, a shame because the underlying story itself is good.
Allegra Orsini is a character who has been through a traumatic event and is using sex I feel as a coping device. She is an Opera singer who has been given a chance to be trained in Italy. The only problem is that she must be away from Davison for 30 days- An eternity to her. Both Allegra and Davison have past lovers who are a part of Davison’s father’s secret. Davison does not want to worry Allegra so does not tell her what his father’s problem is. When she finds out on her own, she realizes what she will do to keep the love she has for Davison intact. She also realizes that she is stronger than she felt she was capable of.
Davison is almost obsessive compulsive and controlling in his need for Allegra. When he finds out about a secret scheme that his father gets into with a friend, he soon realizes that it threatens the financial security of all family members of both families’. This scheme requires Davison to give an ultimatum to his father, as he will not put Allegra at risk. The decision also requires him to make a business decision that will affect his and Allegra’s future. He finds out in the end that he has more knowledge of business than he thought he had.
The sex scenes between Davison and Allegra are hot and steamy and go on and on in different settings. It seems whenever they are together sex is the ultimate result.
I think I would have enjoyed the book better if the sex and language had been toned down.
*OBS would like to thank the publisher for supplying a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review*
I picked up Breathless for Him - the first part of Allegra and Davison's story - on a bit of a whim and ended up being quite charmed by them. As such, I was very pleased to see them again in Devoted to Him, and I was once again taken by this wonderful couple.
After her traumatic ordeal, Allegra Orsini escapes into her love for billionaire Davison Cabot Berkley and for opera.
When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presents itself, Allegra finds herself jetting off to Italy for a month. But that means a month without Davison, which is hard to bear for both of them.
Their love is as strong as ever, but will the distance, and Davison's secrets, eventually come between them?
Oh, Davison!! You are a swoonworthy individual, aren't you?? As in the previous book, both Davison and Allegra are sweet and sizzling - with an emphasis on the sizzling this go around. There was considerably more *ahem* naughty time, and that worked for me and for the story. It not only helped illustrate the love this couple shared, it was also just plain hot, which is ALWAYS good.
Early on, I feared that there would be too little tension to maintain an interesting and well-paced story. Allegra and Davison were almost too perfect, but Sofia Tate managed to make keep it light (really, I don't need screaming, childish hissy fits or poor communication to stay interested) while adding a little intrigue (would they survive their time apart and would Davison admit what was really happening?)
I admire Ms. Tate for writing a sexy, steamy story, for making her characters mature enough to admit their mistakes or clarify their misassumptions, and for making this second installment even better than the first. I can't wait for more from this author - and if it's Allegra and Davison again...well, I'll be a happy camper.
Devoted to Him is the follow-up to Breathless for Him. No cliffhanger.
Devoted to Him is book #2 in the Davison & Allegra Series, here’s a link to my review for book #1 Breathless for Him. I was gifted a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review so here goes.
There is a lot of sex in this book, like a LOT of sex. Now that’s not a problem normally, but I kind of felt like every other scene was them getting it on!!
This book feels quite sophisticated with all of the opera references and every environment is opulent and decadent. This story is definitely escapism at its best, literally how the other half live lol.
Is it weird that I love that Davidson goes all possessive and jealous??? For me the whole “You Are Mine” thing is a massive turn on.
Allegra feels so much more mature in this book, I liked the strength and at times Bitch factor that she has in this instalment.
I was really hoping that Ashton would try to get Davison back in this book, but apart from a few snide comments she was a serious disappointment.
I’m going to try to not have any spoilers so bare with me lol. Davison’s secrets had massive potential and I expected a big explosion of drama. Now don’t get me wrong there was drama it just wasn’t as dramatic as I had hoped lol.
Allegra and Davison are still an adorable couple and they are the epitome of loved up in this book. But I’m astounded that Allegra doesn’t kick his ass for keeping all of those secrets to himself for so long!!! And then he gets on at her for seeing harmless little Mateo.
I’m assuming that there won’t be any more books in this series as this was defiantly a happy Ever After but normally the type of organisation that created the drama don’t just give up and walk away!!
Never the less this book is super sweet and jam packed with sexy time.

This book starts two months after what happened at the end of book 1. But as it starts with Davison doing a resume of what happened in that time we really don't have any breaks in the story. Chapter one connects smoothly the end of book one with this book.
It's on double POV format (yeii!!) so we get to see the story through the eyes and feelings of Allegra AND Davison's. The personalities and the relationship of this two keeps evolving on this book. Allegra's more confident with each passing day even though sometimes she struggles with it. Davison keeps melting the ice around him, becoming more open and caring...even happy thanks to Allegra.
The one thing I loved the most about this book is that I got to know Davison better; this book is his. I had this image of him I've made up during Breathless for him and he proved me right and showed some more. I got to see a sexy, romantic, caring, possessive, overprotective, and perfect boyfriend material that's called Davison. I was already in love with him and this book made me love him more. Allegra's part was very nice but Davison owned this book.
About the sex part...there was a lot involved. They were like little rabbits. I'm not complaining! I loved each escene. They're so well described that I got the chills every now and then and could almost feel him nibbling my earlobe, tasting my flesh on his tongue...ok, I have to stop this line of thoughts.
At the end of Breathless for him I said there was no need of book 2, the story seemed to have had its closure. Sofia proved me wrong. There was enough material on Davison part to create this wonderful book 2. *Clap clap clap* *hands down* for Sofia Tate.
This is the conclusion of Davison and Allegra's story and picks up right where Breathless to Him leaves off. Oh Davison, Davison, Davison, my goodness that man really has it all. His love for Allegra truly knows no bounds and he makes no bones about it that she is it for him. He is all Alpha male and is willing to do anything to protect her. And then there is Allegra who loves Davison just as fiercely and will let nothing get between them. These two are the epitome of the "most amazing couple." Their story drew me in and I could not stop reading it until the very end. I absolutely love that the author wrote this in dual pov's so we get to see from both Allegra and Davison's view. I can not stress enough how much I really love these characters and how the author wrote them and developed their story. The sex was HOT, HOT, HOT, but didn't take away from the sweetness and fierceness of their love either. My one and only complaint is that I wish there was an epilogue to give us a glimpse into their "now" or future life. I'm so glad I got to be a part of the blog tour for this book and received an ARC for this book and was introduced to this author. Although, I will say that even if a copy wasn't provided, I would buy the book to read. I actually finished reading and then went and bought my copy to read again and again. And will be reading much more from this author, I can assure you!! This was a 5 AMAZEBALLS stars for me.
Allegra and Davison have been through a lot together. But their bond is still holding strong. When Allegra is offered a internship with one of the top Divas in the Opera world she can't refuse. Even though it means a month apart from Davison. Allegra is sure that everything will be fine, but when Davison starts pulling away and starts keep secrets she can't help but wonder if Davison is about to break her heart.
The Good: The majority of the plot line. There were a couple twists you don't see coming. It was slow sometimes, but definitely not bad. This author's story lines remind me a bit of EL James or Sylvia Days' plot lines. I like the way that she ended the novel, enough to get closure, but still enough to want the next book.
The Bad: Some of the lines in this story were just bad. Like, no one would seriously ever say that, kind of bad. I feel like the first novel was really good, the sex scenes were hot, everything was good. And then there's this one. It was like the author got good reviews on the first and decided to pull out the dictionary and try some fancy writing.
Final Notes: I would definitely recommend reading this one if you have read the first. But I wouldn't recommend reading it as a standalone novel. Definitely worth reading the series. Hopefully the next novel will be as good as the first one was...
Davison Berkeley is a changed man. Changed by his love for Allegra. They are moving their relationship forward after the turmoil of the last few months and he finds himself unable to think about a life without her. He’s ready to ask her to be his forever – but fate may have other plans.
Allegra Orsini healing from her past and with the loving support of Davison, her career as an opera singer is flourishing. She is invited to study in Italy for a month with her mentor, La Diva. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime and even though she can hardly think about being separated from Davison for even a day, she accepts.
When she returns, Davison has become distant and secretive. There is something that he refuses to tell her and with the reappearance of his ex-fiancé, Ashton – Allegra has a critical decision to make. Can she trust in the love that they have fought so hard for and will that trust only lead to a broken heart?
Devoted to Him is a deeper look into the very soul of Davison Berkeley. He is quite possibly the perfect man! He is fiercely protective of Allegra and yet infinitely tender at the same time. He’s strong and vulnerable – cunning and loyal – and I loved the way that Sofia revealed him layer by layer.
This series has it all – sizzling passion, mystery and a storyline that will keep you riveted right until the end…
What I Liked: Hot sex scenes Nice flow from the the first book Good ending, no cliffanger
What I Did Not Like: Too many sex scenes - it seemed like sex was the focus for this book Cheesy dialogue - it was a bit too flowery at times
Overall: Not bad, but I think the first book is better. Definitely recommend that you read the first book in the series to fully understand the characters. 3.5 stars

Wow this is a sexy read! Lot's of hot times between Allegra & Davison or (Venus & Harvard their nicknames for each other.) Davison keeps working at trying to get Allegra's trust and he seems truly devoted to her but, she is having a hard time trusting him.
I fell in love with Sofia Tate's after reading her first book. Devoted To Him was just as good! This book has romance, mystery and steamy hot sex! Love, Love, Love the characters!
Sofia Tate ruined my makeup. By the time I was done with this book, I had cried buckets and came out of it with raccoon eyes.
This was such an intensely emotional story. It took me a while to read because I kept having to put it down to catch my breath, which kept hitching in my chest as I read what was happening to Davison and Allegra.
In this installment of the series which features the relationship of Davison and Allegra, it's all about Davison.
He's such a wonderful man and seriously, all men should be like him. They need to read this book and take lessons on how to treat a woman and how to love a woman.
I'm not saying that men need to be billionaires to get a woman, although that doesn't hurt, but it's the core of Davison as a man that makes my heart melt.
He's so wonderfully loving and tender. He's not afraid to show how much he cares about Allegra and how much he loves her. He's not afraid to be vulnerable in his love for her but at the same time, he's commanding and he takes charge of situations in order to get things done. And he's protective. He is oh, so protective and I do love a protective man. A man who will put his woman's life and safety above his own, a man who will take care of things and take care of her.
What is there not to love about Davison? Trust me ladies, you want Davison in your life. He's the kind of guy you'd be proud to bring home to meet your momma and poppa.
I'm somewhat glad the next book in the series doesn't come out for a month or so yet because I need the time to catch my breath and recover from this one. What an incredible emotional journey I was taken on.
Sofia, I will read pretty much anything you write. :-)
I struggled getting into this book. I'm convinced in the relationship between Allegra and Davidson but the story is to laid out and repetitive. Thank you Forever and NetGalley for ARC.
