Eden Institute - aka Wonderland It is where those haunted by madness find themselves, lost down the rabbit hole of their own minds.
I’m sent there for committing a dark deed, grappling with the same madness that once consumed Alice. As I navigate the twisted pathways of Wonderland, the looming question Will I emerge unscathed, or will the madness overpower me? The lines between reality and delusion blur.
I AM MAD AFTER ALL
This is a why choose dark contemporary duet where the FMC does not have to choose.
Holy shit that was a journey to the rabbit hole that i cannot recover unless i know what happens next. the only solitude i have right now is knowing that Hare will be alright :') HE WILL BE ALRIGHT :') HAS TO BE :')
This book was SOOO SOO SOO MUCH FUN (in a dark and twisted way) to read. well if you consider diving deep into your dark dark mental state is fun 🤣🤣
This book is DARK so PLEASE I BEG OF YOU READ THE TRIGGERS BEFORE YOU DIVE INTO THIS BOOK.
This book is very much heavy on mental illness considering this book revolves around the patients in Wonderland (Mental institute) The retelling of Alice in Wonderland is always fun. I've always had a fascination about Wonderland since i was a kid so this was SO MUCH FUN and VERY ADULT 🥲
The plot was AMAZING and i just love all the characters so much :') But not gonna lie some does kinda blur out onto the background *coughcough Harry and Dusty.. I'm hoping in the second book that we get to know more about Harry and Dusty in person and more about Harrys relationship with Red and his DADDY DOM SIDE 😈😈. And also Dustys own relationship with Red. AND HEAR ME OUT, IS IT JUST ME OR THERE IS SOME SPARKS BETWEEN DUSTY AND AL OOH FUCK ME DO I WANT THEM TO KISS 🥲🥲
Over all you got the Light in the dark character, a fierce bratty FMC, a protector Alpha Male, a broken and broody MMC, the twins, a Friends to Lover love interest and a hero ready to risk his own sanity and succumb to his inner voices to save his queen. SO YOU GOT THE WHOLE PACKAGE DEAL HERE. And the spice was spicin alright!! 🔥🔥 HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR YOUR NEXT OCTOBER READ!!
You did it again my friend. Book #4 in your first year of being an author. It was a hell of a book at that. Your mind is a complete mastermind. This Alice in Wonderland retelling was pure fire. I am always skeptical when reading retellings but this one was fantastic. I’ve never been a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland so I was nervous going into it, so if you are nervous don’t be because this book is totally worth it. N.E Stevenson gives you a great understanding of each character and their mental state so you aren’t left confused as to what is going on. You get so invested and won’t be able to put the book down. I love all of these guys, they truly love Red fiercely. Also I want to publicly announce I claim Jameson and Bander which will soon cause a war with my other betas so wish me luck 😂. Also… That epilogue was just …… I have no words. I need part two asap.
My obsession with madness drove me to this book. My love of asylums equally dragging me in. Al (Alice) being male, such a twist. All the people lost in Wonderland (Eden Inst.) so alone, but now found family. Love that inspires hope.
Great read. Looking forward to further adventures down the crazy rabbit hole.
Utterly mad. Down the rabbit hole you go. Literally felt like I was in the asylum right along with them. Each and every character with their trauma and little aspects of themselves just draws you in. I want to paint in blood with Red, color the walls with Hare, play chess with Jameson, get sandwiched by Dusty and Desmond, talk to animals with Harry, and get swallowed up by Bander. Each character brings their own uniqueness and you’re rooting for them all to get it and rain down on those that hurt them.
It’s different in the main POV being that of the main MMC and it started all because of him instead of the women’s protective. He’s just Al. Not Alice. Not Thee Alice, just AL and he’s utterly mad and off with her head he went. But White. Girl has got to go back to the slimy hole she came out of.
This book, hooked me from the first page and I could not put it down, N.E. was being blown up the entire time I read it and to be able to watch her growth as an author and see these traumatized worlds she’s creating, it’s only going to keep getting better and better, forever grateful I stumbled upon Whispers of Salvation and fell in love with the words you’ve written.
The first Alice in Wonderland retelling I can actually say I am in love with. A retelling is always a tough one. I think N.E. Stevenson has done a wonderful job. It has been done so smooth and seamless with the connections to Alice in Wonderland being shown more with the more you read and even the small mention of the story was a cute little Easter egg. There were also a few twists in this book that I did not see coming and it gave the plot so much more depth and tension.
The spiraling is depicted so well that it made me feel like I was going insane. This had to be some of my favorite moments because I would sit and chant with the characters, sometimes even rereading it again because it was so smooth and gave so much more understanding of the mental state of the characters.
Guards, cards. Guards, guards, guards are cards, cards, cards.
I absolutely devoured this. I practically read this in one setting, starting late last night and forcing myself to go to sleep after a few chapters, but the second I woke, I dove back down into the depths of Wonderland.
It's dark, it's heartbreaking, it's completely bonkers. Set in a mental asylum, characters who were forced in as kids against their will have never been able to escape. Whether it's because their parents have been paying to keep them there or Nurse White tampering with their meds to break their minds... down, down, down they each go into the spiel that is madness...
Whilst the cliffhanger isn't...too bad,it does make you desperate for Part Two. That bitch needs to fall! OFF WITH HER HEAD!

Love, Love, Love! First off I love rereading retellings and have read many Alice and wonderland retellings but this one so far has been the best at leaning into the “we are all mad here” aspect. The complex relationships between all the characters really help to show the wonder and desperation of being stuck in “wonderland” under a ruthless queen. Wonderland in this book is a really mental hospital where all our characters are not quite as they seem. Red is the queen of them all and they must find a way to escape Nurse white. Plot is 5⭐️ and Spice is about 3.5⭐️ it’s a great read but definitely check the TW as it is dark romance as well!!
