A Christmas tale of hope, healing, and the awakening power of a song.A STANDALONE NOVEL set in the charming world of Spring Valley. When the up-and-coming Appalachian folk musician, Lynette Sullivan, returns to her hometown, it’s not under ideal circumstances. Spring Valley, Tennessee is transformed into a magical wonderland at Christmastime, but she anticipates a chaotic upcoming holiday that will be far from merry and bright. She’s settling her grandmother’s estate while living in the dilapidated family home, a cranky cat keeps hissing and swatting at her, and she needs employment—now! Even worse, she finds herself falling for a man she just met. In love for the first time, she questions if she is truly in love, and soon unexpected complications arise. Lynette is deeply conflicted between following her heart on the path to happiness or shouldering unforeseen family obligations and staying true to her values. She has to rely on prayer and her unwavering faith to discern God’s message for her life.
The first thing you notice when you meet Deacon Harris is his scar and eye patch. He owns the local handyman business in Spring Valley. He knows he has a bit of a curmudgeon reputation, but because he is an excellent accredited tradesman, customers pay no mind to, what he likes to call, his gruff charm. Still struggling to accept the accident that rocked his foundation, shattering his face and life, and his fiancé’s swift abandonment that followed, Deacon’s flicker of hope is reignited when he meets Lynette. He is challenged to confront his difficult past to build an uncomplicated relationship and a forever future.
For almost a decade, Ada Taylor has run the Mockingbird Coffee House, serving up coffee, pastries, and prayers to her loyal customers. She dabbles in matchmaking and suspects townsfolk may think her choice for Lynette is mismatched, but he’s more than meets the eye. Ada’s only wish is for Lynette and Deacon to find love this Christmas.
Is it unimaginable that falling in love for the first time could be a forever love,or is anything possible during the season of miracles?

I received this Amazon book Carol of the winter songbirds as a goodreads giveaway. I want to thank the Author Georgia Curtis Lang and your publisher for allowing me to read this book.
Carol of the Winter Songbirds is a small town christmas romance. This book is about a young female adult dealing with the grief of losing her grandmother before Thanksgiving, trying to navigate her grandmother's estate, fixing up the house she inherited, navigating a new relationship with Deacon her handyman, and starting a new business. All while keeping her faith.
Deacon is one of the main characters and love interest. He is the handyman Lynette calls on to help her fix up the house, and the other projects she started. Deacon had lost his way after a construction accident he lost one of his eyes. He had shut himself off from the rest of the town and then he heard the birds sing which awakened him from his depression. When he first met Lynette he was guarded and cautious.
Ada is Lynettes mom's best friend. Ada promised to watch over Lynette and be there for her whenever she needs. Which she ends up doing a lot of in the book by guiding Lynette through Bible verses. She did not tell Lynette what she should do she just guided her. She did the same for Deacon as well by maintaining Lynettes trust and not divulge what Lynette confided in her.
Lynettes parents were really not in the book. They live in Kenya spreading the word of God. Her father had to have back surgery and they both came back to have it.
The scriptures in the book coincidentally coincides very well and completes the book. I am not one for Christian books but I am giving this book a four star rating because it I was actually able to fully get into it after chapter 10. The only problem I had is when reading the chapters it doesnt transfer smoothly from chapter to chapter and point of view too point of view. Also the fact that their love became true love in two months. Very unrealistic in my opinion.
thank you Goodreads and Georgia Curtis Ling for the chance to read this arc. What a whimsical and unforgettable experience I had reading this book. I flew thru the pages and was pleasantly surprised by the characters emotions and trials. You must read this book for an uplifting and unforgettable experience
I just don’t think this was for me I was very bored and all of the characters fell flat for me. However I did love the connection between the characters and their faith and hearing about how in-depth all their stories were.
