Since the moment our lives fell apart, the only thing that mattered was making a good life for my son. A life where he was happy and safe. I just never expected to find that safety with a hockey player known for his brutal dominance on the ice and his recklessness off it.
But Cope Colson is so much more.
The gentle way he makes sure we’re okay. The playful care he shows my son. The way he truly sees me.
When my life comes apart yet again, it’s Cope picking up the pieces. Now, we’re living in his house, eating his incredible, chef-worthy meals, and it’s not just my son who’s falling.
It’s me.
Because when Cope touches me, I lose all sense. I’m no longer thinking about staying safe, I’m thinking about how my skin ignites with every glance, how I come undone with the barest brush of his fingertips, and when we give into temptation…I’m lost.
But Cope has secrets and so do I. And when the forces from our pasts emerge from the shadows, there’s nothing they won’t do to end our happiness once and for all…

Cope & Sutton's story is here and ready for bingeing! Who is ready to enter their Seattle Sparks Era?!
🏒 Hockey Hero 🧁 Baker Heroine (w/a hockey-obsessed son) 🏒 T0uch Her & 💀 Vibes 🧁 He Spoils Her 🏒 Forced Proximity 🧁 Woman on the Run 🏒 Hurt/Comfort 🧁 Hilarious Grandma (and if you've gotten to the ⛓️ scene you know what else...🤭)
Deciding to re-read this series was the best decision I have ever made!! This was even more emotional the second time and I love them so much. It was so heartfelt and they're the perfect little family!!
Cope is such an amazing soul, he had his demons and seeing him grow and finally see his worth was everything. He was protective and he was there for Sutton since the beginning. His bond with Luca was so special, he gave them both the family they always deserved. He carried his guilt for far too long and I'm so happy he had Sutton, she made him feel seen. He fell first and he fell hard. Sutton was such a great mom, she did everything for her son, she was determined and so brave. I absolutely loved her, she deserved the best and seeing her get that with Cope made me emotional. Her breaking down her walls around Cope and seeing her be loved the right way was amazing. Luca was the most adorable addition, I love him so much. He was such a cutie and him interacting with the Colson family was incredibly sweet.
Cope and Sutton were so good together, their banter, their immediate connection, the way they were there for one another ahhh. They made each other strong, showed their vulnerability and I loved how they connected emotionally, it made everything so much more special. Him taking care of Sutton and Luca was absolutely adorable and they really did have a thing for desks...
The Teddy story was even more gut wrenching the second time.. Also, I kind of forgot how suspenseful the last part truly was.. Fun fact, this was the first book I actually got the bad guy right.
And now, I'm so excited for Arden and Linc, after Kye and Fallon, they are my favourite!!
cope might very well be my fav sparrow falls mmc (I love a sad boy okay?). his relationship with sutton was protective and obsessive and I love him for that. sutton was so strong and had a really challenging backstory but cope met her where she needed him. luca was the sweeeetest and cope did the most for him too.
in true catherine fashion I had ZERO CLUE who the big bad was???? I think this was the best twist to date I was so so shocked.
🎧 erin mallon and connor crais crushed this audiobooks. connor’s VA nailed all the emotion and inner guilt cope was experiencing. erin mallon slayed again and I’ll listen to whatever she reads!
thank you so much for the alc and arc catherine!
what to expect ⟢ single mom x nhl player ⟢ he’s her son’s coach ⟢ small town with big family vibes ⟢ romantic suspense
Catherine Cowles in her hockey romance era!? SAY NO MORE 👏🏻
This book was just everything and more I wanted from Cope and Sutton's story. And I cried twice?!?!!? First, I loved Sutton's character to so much. She is so devoted to giving Luca, her son, the best life and she is determined to be strong and take care of herself. I loved how she was already so close with the Colson family and had such a great relationship with Thea, who was the heroine of the previous book.
Cope is dealing with a lot as a professional hockey player and carries a lot of guilt over his father's death when he was a child. He doesn't open up a lot, but he's immediately taken by Sutton when he meets her and really cares about her. His love language is showering other people in gifts and love and I was soooo here for it. And Sutton deserves nothing but the best!
This one is definitely packed full of emotional punches and they hit me so hard every time. I loved Cope's relationship with Luca and how much Sutton was there for him in really low times. And the suspense!? Another Catherine Cowles book that left my jaw on the floor.
I know I sound like a broken record, but you HAVE to read Catherine Cowles if her haven't yet! Her books are everything and you won't be able to put them down!
Catherine Cowles has cracked the code guys. She has figured out how to make people read the exact same book over and over and over and over again. She clearly has a template that she just copies and pastes and then changes the names and a few details, and that explains why she releases so often. The fmc has some dramatic back story. The mmc is grumpy and can’t speak in complete sentences. They meet and have some weird insta-love, complete with the mmc gifting her a cringey nickname that literally nobody in real life would use. They have a few uncomfortable sex scenes, say I love you quickly, and then the fmc is kidnapped. Never fear, because the mmc is going to come save her, but somebody will get shot and almost die. But also they aren’t actually gonna die so it’s fine. Then there’s a little time jump and a proposal, and then you’re done. Congratulations.
I keep reading these because they require no brain power, and I also can’t help but hope she will write something different. I don’t think that will ever happen though.
I really loved this. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to read it (fully my bad) because I think it lost some of the emotional impact :( HOWEVER — I love Cope & Sutton so much & cannot wait for Arden’s book.
4 Stars! 🌟 Oh my gosh, Sutton and Cope have me in a chokehold! 🥹 This book is the perfect recipe for all the feels: a badass single mom, a grumpy-but-sweet hockey player, and an adorable little boy who steals every scene. 💖 Sutton’s strength, Cope’s quiet care, and Luca’s preciousness were pure magic. Add in small-town charm, suspense, and a swoon-worthy romance? I’m in love! 😍
Cope might just be ultimate book boyfriend material. Like, who installs a booster seat for his girl’s son before they’re even dating?! 🥺 The way he melted for Sutton and Luca had my heart doing cartwheels. Catherine Cowles nailed the mix of heartwarming moments, gasp-worthy twists, and enough suspense to keep me hooked. That ending twist? I did not see it coming—I was up way too late trying to guess the villain. 🙃
Tropes: ✧ Single mom 💕 ✧ Grumpy x sunshine 💓 ✧ Small-town romance 🏡 ✧ Hockey player hero 🏒 ✧ Found family 🫶
The banter was spot on, the emotional growth felt so real, and let’s be honest—Luca absolutely stole the show. His love for hockey and his bond with Cope? My heart! 💕 And Sutton? Total queen energy. Watching her lower her walls and find happiness was beautiful.
My only complaint? The middle dragged a little, and my attention span started to wander. But thank goodness there was no third-act breakup or unnecessary drama—it’s just a straight shot to the happily ever after we deserve. 🙌
Final Thoughts: This book was the perfect mix of heartfelt and suspenseful with just the right dose of sweetness. If you love hockey players with golden-retriever energy, strong heroines, and a little danger to spice things up, you need this in your life. Bonus points for the happily-ever-after complete with a baby on the way. 💕
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 HEA:Cue the wedding bells and baby giggles! ✨
Broken Harbor is book three in the Sparrow Falls series by Catherine Cowles. The only way I can think to start this off is to say, she’s done it again! What a beautiful, swoony, suspenseful story. This is Sutton and Cope’s book and I can’t wait to tell you about it.
Sutton Holland is twenty nine years old and is the single mom to her seven year old son, Luca. Sutton has fought tooth and nail to get where she is now, owning her own bakery, The Mix Up, in the beautiful small town of Sparrow Falls, Oregon. They have been in the little town for two years now and live in a small apartment over the bakery. Sutton is barely scraping by but is so proud of achieving her dream. Her fantastic cupcakes are getting quite the reputation for being the best thing people have ever tasted.
Sutton’s son is completely in love with the sport of hockey and idolizes the team in the nearby city of Seattle. He begged to be allowed to enroll in a one month hockey camp at the rink in Sparrow Falls so of course, Sutton did everything possible to get together the necessary gear for her son. Little did she know that on the first day, she would meet the famous hockey player volunteering his time to help coach the kids and that it would be the day that changed their lives!
Copeland “Cope” Colson is one of the siblings of the Colson Clan in Sparrow Falls but we haven’t gotten to know him because he spends most of his time in Seattle. He is a professional hockey player for The Seattle Sparks. After this last season ended, Cope needs some time away and helping the coach during the summer hockey camp was the perfect way to spend his down time. Not to mention, being back in his home town where he has a huge home and spending some time with his family. It’s the first day of camp when he sees her in the parking lot. She’s stubborn, independent and so beautiful. And then he met her son, and fell in love.
Both of these people have painful secrets in their past. Sutton does not want anyone to know what brought her to Sparrow Falls. And Cope is carrying so much guilt on his own shoulders for things from his past. Both of them would do anything for the people they care about but who takes care of them? Both have built steel walls around them to protect themselves against being hurt. But the more time they spend together, the weaker those walls get.
You know how those secrets from the past do, though, don’t you? They have a way of sneaking up on you in the worst way possible. And they have a way of threatening everything you have worked so hard to build. Could it be, though, that if you let those walls down, just a little bit, that the risk could be worth it That you just might find that happy ever after that you never thought you deserved?
These two were so perfect for each other, they each had a way of helping to heal wounds that have laid open for years. Will Sutton and Luca ever be truly free from their pasts, be safe? Is the happiness they are just beginning to experience with Cope just a fleeting dream? Once again, this author spins a tale that builds and builds to a place that will keep you gripping your book tightly as you flip the pages to see what happens next. The epilogue was perfect and at the end, there is a download for a quick little bonus that melted my heart. I adore all of Catherine’s words and am so excited for the next book, Beautiful Exile.
i never knew i needed a catherine cowles hockey romance but boy did i!!!
you guys are not ready. broken harbor packs all of the suspenseful mystery you expect from catherine and the hilarious but so special found family moments that’s a hallmark of this particular series with a new, definitelyyy spicier side to her books. the relationship between this single mom, her son, and this lost and a little broken hockey player is EVERYTHING.
with every book, and couple, in this series, I tell myself that it's my favotite. This series is beautifully written. Lolli though, she's the best. I'm really looking forward to Arden's story though. I've been curious about her from the beginning. Cope is a dream but let's be honest, every Colson man is a dream. It was nice getting to hear Sutton's story. Luca was the star in this one.
Third book in the series in two weeks. This series can do no wrong so far. Perfect balance of Romance and Mystery. I've been on a Catherine Cowles kick lately. This is my 4th book of hers in 3 weeks.
Absolutely fighting through the tears writing this right now. How many more ways can I say that this book was breathtakingly beautiful? God, I love this series more than life itself.
I am always and will never get used to how blown away I get from these characters. They are all so unique and carry their own burdens, but the importance of family stands up the most. Sutton deserves the entire world and no one can tell me she isn't the best mother to have graced a book. The regular trials and tribulations of life are one thing, but she goes above and beyond for her son and those she considers family.
The MMC's in this series are ALL amazing, and Cope was no different. His patience and loyalty and love genuinely brought tears to me eyes. I don't think I've met a better pair than him and Sutton. Their chemistry was beautiful and his love and loyalty for her from the very start just couldn't stop me from giggling. His relationship with Luca was that of someone who was born to love and mentor. All three of them were such a perfect trio; I couldn't get enough.
I also want to point out that the entire family, both blood and not, truly make this book what it is. The extra emphasis on found family always warms my heart and the interactions between everyone just made me dissolve in a fit of laughs.
I love the fact that these books are so much more than romance and funny-haha moments. There's weight and trauma and thrilling/mystery aspects that add SO MUCH to the plot and I like that it's there in place of a third act-breakup. I really have no clue where the plots in these books go because just when you think you've figured it out? BAM plot twist. The twist that really got me was Teddy halfway through the book. I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER CRIED OVER A SHORT SIDE-CHARACTER LIKE THAT BEFORE oh my god it broke me.
Overall, reading this series is an absolute must and I cannot recommend it enough. If you think this is just your run of the mill romance, you'd be dead wrong; it's love and loss and grief and the importance of family. It's everything a true romance SHOULD be. It's not might and fluffy; it's gut-wrenching and heartbreaking but so beautiful. I think everyone should give this series a shot at some point because it is so, so special.

Last read was atrocious and I need something I know I'll love 🥺 This series is my new comfort series so I'm excited to dive in!
Ugh, Catherine does it again!! I have made it a game of sorts with myself to try to determine who is going to be behind the suspense in her books and have failed every time LOL. This was a wonderful addition to this series, and though you could read it as a standalone, I would recommend reading these books in order. They build off of each other and you get to see the characters from previous books in the new ones! I really liked reading Cope and Sutton and watching them fall for each other. I LOVED that they had a not-so-meet cute. I loved how strong Sutton was and how much she had overcome in her life. She had a hard time accepting help from anyone. Cope on the other hand was our knight in shining armor swooping in to help and liking the sass/acceptance he got from Sutton. These two had some serious chemistry from the jump! I liked that by being this knight for Sutton, Cope was able to find some inner peace. He was going through it and had been holding some things in for a while. Meeting Sutton and seeing how she coped with her past helped him realize he could do it too. And THEN we had the added element of cuteness with Luca. The kid adored and basically worshipped Cope. I loved when Cope and Sutton decided to tell Luca about them and he was like oh yeah I already knew that. Kids see more than we think yall!!
Sutton is at the end of her rope. She doesn't think things could get any worse and then they do. She doesn't know how she is going to be able to afford to do anything now. Most of how is she going to continue to support Luca in his love for hockey and run her store while also being a single mom. Well when help comes, it is not from who she expected. It is from Cope Colson- one of her now good friends' brothers. He is in town for the summer working at the camp where Luca is going and offers to help set her up. He moves them into his house. He shows her that even though she CAN do it alone most of the time, it is ok to ask for help every once in a while. All the while they are around each other, there is this slow burn build-up going on. But Sutton swore off athletes a long time ago. Tragedy strikes in Cope's world though and she comes when he needs her. They started as friends but have become so much more. What they share is beyond anything she has ever experienced. So she opens up about her past with him. She tells him about her ghosts. And now it looks like someone is trying to scare her off. Weird things are happening in town at her shop. But Cope will keep her safe. But her past comes to get her when she least expects it. She never wanted Cope involved in all of this, and she hopes before it is all over that he knows how much she loves him. How much he means to her.
Cope is coming back home to heal and hide a little. Someone is coming after him in the media, and he can't put his finger on who. So he agrees to come home to help with a camp for the summer. Keep a low profile. What he doesn't expect is Luca. And what he really doesn't expect is Sutton. Sutton who in the best way turns him down flat before realizing that he is Luca's coach. Sutton who is so strong and strikingly beautiful, hefinds himself going out of his way to be able to interact with her. Sutton who needs help but won't ask for it. So he does it for her. He offers his home to them until they can get things sorted out. He offers a little sanctuary for her. He likes helping her. He likes being needed. He also can't stop thinking about her in ALLL sorts of ways. He feels like things are progressing between them but then she surprises him by showing up when he needs her the most. Now things are for sure not going the friend route. He finds himself thinking long term here. He wants to know more about her and her past. And when she tells him he is devastated and in awe of what she has overcome. But now someone is in town messing with her. That just won't stand. Cope will do whatever it takes to keep Luca and Sutton safe. He just hopes he isn't too late.
Catherine does such a good job of establishing these characters who have SOO many walls up, and then introducing them to the one person who is going to knock them all down. Reading that story is always so delicious and well done. This one was all of that. I loved Sutton and Cope as a family. I loved the side characters and glimpses we got into how they were doing. I also really enjoyed the added element of suspense- even though I knew it would be in there, it just keeps me on my toes. One of these days MAYBE I will guess who the bad guy is! Catherine is the queen of plot twists LOL. Now onto Arden- can't wait to see how all of the shakes out! If you haven't picked up this series yet, I definitely recommend it :)
I will never be over this book. I love them so much & they are perfect. This story was perfect, the town, the family. I’m obsessed.
Loving Sutton was as easy & simple as breathing for Cope and it was one of the most heartwarming things to read. I get it, I would’ve fallen in love with him too 😭
Single mom always gets me. I know we all love single dad but I truly think single mom is better when the MMC falls in love with her kid just as much as her. It always leaves me sobbing!
We get snippets from characters in previous books in this one and man 🥹 it’s so nostalgic and happy 😭 I love them so much
“Grip the chains” is going to live rent free in my head for the rest of my life okay 🫠
Favorite moments “I’m tired of living in the dark.” “Then maybe it’s time to step into the light.”
“She has more game than all of us put together.” I’m gonna let yall guess who she’s talking about 😂😂🍭
“I’d walk through fire for you any day of the week.”

Huge thank you to Catherine & team for the ARC to read 🥹❤️🤘🏻
You’ll love this if you like ✨ small town ✨ suspense ✨ hockey hero ✨ single mom ✨ hurt x comfort ✨ “who hurt you?” ✨ grey sweatpants 🫠
I love going to visit this Found Family in the lovely small town of Sparrow Falls. It's so cozy with just a little bit of suspense. There's so much heart and love. It's a great place to go. All the fall vibes with cupcakes and hockey galore!
This time we get to know Sutton, a single mom to seven-year-old Luca, and a business owner. She has separated herself from her druggy-ex and made a home for herself in this cozy town. She's struggling but has plenty of love for her kid and that is so clear in everything she does.
Cope is a hockey player for the Seattle Sparks and is home in Sparrow Falls for the off season. He volunteers to assist with a hockey camp that Luca is attending. He can't help but adore the feisty little boy, just like he can't help being drawn into the allure of Sutton's sparkling eyes.
He can tell there's one hurt behind them and it makes him want to comfort her and take all her stress away. He is a dreamy man with a huge heart. The way he puts Sutton and Luca first is heartwarming.
Because this is a Catherine Cowles there's gonna be some danger but just enough to bring everyone closer. This family is so big-hearted and I want to go hang out with them whenever I can. I can't wait for the next story to come!
I suggest the audio and this one was narrated by Erin Mallon & Connor Crais with a powerful performance. A very dynamic pairing.
4.5 stars 3 on the spice scale
CW: Assault, murder, death of a friend, violence
*Thank you to the author for an ALC & ARC of this title.*
I ended up finishing. im still sad to say I didnt enjoy this much. the nickname was cringe and i just didn't connect much to either character or the plot. maybe the next one will be better for me.
How does this series just keep getting better with each book?! 🤩
When I found out this was going to be single mom x hockey player, I knew I was going to eat this up… AND I DID! Catherine has never once done me wrong 🤌
Sutton & Cope are two strong characters who have been through so much and deserve all the happiness in the world, which is why it was so rewarding to see them find that with each other 🥹 Seeing them lean on each other and become the other’s safe space to land was just everything.
And I can’t forget about little Luca! I absolutely adore the way Catherine writes kids in her books — she always does the most incredible job of forming such heartwarming bonds between the love interest and the single parent’s kid(s), which was certainly no different with Luca and Cope. Cope was just so protective and patient when it came to both Sutton and Luca, and it made my heart so full to see — I love this little family so much 🤧
And speaking of family, I just have to mention how greatly the found family makes this series so magical. You can tell how deeply this family loves and cares for one another as well as the new people they bring into the fold, and I truly wish they were real people I know 🫶
Once again, Catherine did not disappoint! I love Sutton & Cope & Luca so much, and I’ll always be grateful for how their book brought me some joy during some tough days I had. I’m so obsessed with the Sparrow Falls world, and I already can’t wait for what it has in store for me next!
Thank you so much to Catherine Cowles & her team for an ARC of this book 💌

sutton & cope are about to serve the most immaculate single mom x hockey player vibes I CANNOT WAIT AHHH!!
I love these books the element of suspense makes me not be able to put them down at all and I loved the single mum X ice hockey pro dynamic it was just so cute!
4.25⭐️ Single mom romances are so underrated, and when you throw in a hockey player? Obsessed. I devoured this book, it was so good! Sutton and Cope are such strong characters who’ve been through so much, and they deserve the absolute world.
My favorite part of this book was seeing Cope be the ultimate softie especially when it came to Sutton and her son Luca (he literally got a booster seat for him in his car before they even started dating) and it honestly put the biggest smile on my face. I just love them so much and I think Cope might be my all time favorite CC man! 🤭
Catherine has done it again with another emotional, PLOT TWIST I WASN’T EXPECTING and beautiful story, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
“I love you. With everything in me. All I am is yours. Brokenness and all.”
I loved this one. The suspense, the romance, and of course the "who did it?" moments.
This is also one of my favorite found families I have read. I love that the dynamics of the siblings, and how they banter but love each other. All the secondary plot lines are immaculate.
Also, I love that Catherine is adding some more spice in terms of scenes, but really staying true to the suspense plot line.
Catherine Cowles never ceases to surprise and amaze me with her stories. I love how much, emotion, humor, and love is poured into her books, and Broken Harbor is no exception. Returning to Sparrow Falls and finally getting Cope’s story after little hints about him in the first two books was amazing! And Sutton was the perfect match for him. She was an amazing mom to her little boy Luca, who will easily steal your heart. I loved how Cope treated and respected her, and he is such a smooth talker, he’ll definitely have you swooning. There was so much depth to these characters and their pasts. And I loved the suspense throughout! The found family is one of my favorite parts, the love they have for each other, and the bonds between them, it’s all incredible. Their family texts always have me laughing. And LOLLI! She is the crazy grandma everyone needs in their life.
🎧The audiobook is produced by Lyric Audiobooks(they always put together the most amazing audios!), and narrated by Erin Mallon and Connor Crais, and I loved listening to them bring Sutton and Cope to life. They had me hooked, and did a perfect job bringing out all facets of these characters.

Thank you so much @mustloveaudio and @catherinecowlesauthor for the ALC, and a special thanks to Catherine for the amazing trope edition ARC!!
I don’t know how else to say it, other than this was hands down my favorite Catherine Cowles book, and I have loved them all.
Cope and Sutton were everything I wanted and more. They made me believe that love will trump everything else and that when you find the right person, they are worth fighting for. Also Cope and Luca melted my entire heart into a puddle of goo. The bond they had destroyed me.
🩵 Hockey Hero x Baker 🩵 Forced Proximity 🩵 Roommates to Lovers 🩵 Single Mom 🩵 Protective Hero 🩵 Romantic Suspense 🩵 hilarious grandmother
This book destroyed me, I laughed, I cried. I cried some more and then I melted into a puddle. This is hands down the best single mom trope I’ve read and I stand by that statement.
In true fashion. I was guessing villain and in the end and I still wasn’t completely right. 😂
Read Cope and Sutton’s story, the amount of emotional healing these two do together will absolutely melt your heart.
I'm not really sure about this. It felt like a lot of the story was pretty much the same as the last book. There were a few tweaks here and there, but it essentially feels like a copy-and-paste job. 🫣 Even some of the characters' lines and inner thoughts are almost identical. It's probably why I didn't get invested in this story as much as I hoped I would.
I think there are pros and cons to starting a series with most of the books already out. I just can’t help but compare the plot and situations from the earlier books to the one I’m currently reading. Unfortunately this one, like I said, was basically the same setup. That being said, I was still curious about the MCs, but I just wasn't that intrigued.
I still loved the found family and how welcoming and protective these people are of one another. I'm also glad that Sutton (29) and Luca (7) became part of their fold. I loved how Cope (30) was all in with them and how he knew Sutton was it for him right from the start.
If readers aren't into instant attraction, they probably won't like this. Apparently that's the running theme since the first book—insta-lust then love + forced proximity. I usually don't mind that, because I like insta-love, but even I was surprised at how fast these characters went from 0 to 100 in no time. 😅
As for the suspense, I always lived for that, and ngl, it was a bit nerve-wracking. But I'm relieved that the bad guys got their comeuppance. 😮💨
Overall, it was okay. I didn't love it and didn't really dislike it, just so-so. Still, I'm invested in knowing more about the other siblings, so I'm going to read their stories as well.
Book info: - Forced proximity - Violence/death - Organized crime - Addiction (secondary character) - Car Accident - Physical Assault (on the FMC by side char) - Loss of loved ones (past) - Nightmares/PTSD - Single parent - Baker x Hockey Player - No cheating, separation - Mild OM/OW - HEA (2 yrs later, not sure if married, but they're pregnant)
Notes: - OM1. Sutton's ex-husband caused some problems, but he only showed up at the end. - OM2. The other kid's coach was interested in her but never asked her out. - OW. Cope's ex, who is the PR manager for his team, showed up in a few scenes. And it's still obvious how she still wants him. They dated for months, but he never really loved her or let her in, but she wanted more, so he ended things between them. I think what they had was mostly about physical stuff.
I never want this series the end, I love the Colson's 🥹😭 The found family trope was strong in this book and so beautifully done. The relationship between Cope and Luca was the sweetest, that man would do anything to make the little boy happy 🥹
I am once again begging for better nicknames, or just none at all 😩
When pro hockey player Cope Colton returns home to Sparrow Falls during the off season, he never expects to become so taken with single mom Sutton or her son Luca.
I just cannot get enough or this series! In this third installment, we learn more about Cope and his background. I was completely fascinated with the secrets both of our MCs held tight and how much they impacted their future relationships. And the dynamic between Cope and Sutton, especially as he takes on the role of hockey coach to Luca, was a whole lot of fun.
🎧 I read the both via my eyes and ears. I have to say that Connor Crais and Erin Mallon did a fantastic job of bringing these complex, multifaceted characters to life.
Read if you like: ▪️hockey romance ▪️single mom ▪️forced proximity ▪️small town charm
My FAVORITE Catherine Cowles book to date. No question. I’m obsessed. Finished the audiobook in less than 24 hours and I’m already missing this couple so much. Cope & Sutton were everything. Cope was such a man obsessed and I loved every single second of it.
Thank you so much to Catherine & her team for both the ALC & ARC — the narrators (Erin Mallon & Connor Crais) did such an amazing job bringing this story to life.
- Small Town - Professional Hockey Player x Bakery Owner - Single Mom - Heroine in Danger - Touch her & die - Close Proximity - Grieving & Trauma
