The heart is the centre of life, making the topic of the heart the core of one’s spiritual walk—that is, if the person desires to fulfil God’s purposes for his life.
God created man’s heart to be a heart after His own. With the fall of man, the heart, which God created to fulfil His purposes, became hardened and far distorted from its original formation and nature. The Lord, in His infinite mercy and redemption, deals with such a heart to soften it and prepare it for His work using various means. Our hearts ought to be those of disciples and those of missionaries; consequently, our thinking would turn towards the Kingdom of God and His purposes. It is only then that we can fulfil all the will of God.
