Winter loves Christmas, with all the trappings and songs. She was almost stranded at the airport, when she runs into Cole, her ex boyfriend's father. She's always found him extremely easy on the eyes but he's always so grumpy, she's not sure she likes him. Except now he's being incredibly sweet, she's not sure what to think.
When Cole sees Winter at the airport, he's unsure if this is a blessing or a curse. He's always been so attracted to her, he's had to keep his distance but now he doesn't have to, does he?
A short, sexy, quick age gap romance that turns up the heat. Not quite an instalove since they know each other but under different circumstances. I like how they interact/connect, how they treat each other and how they communicate.
Both Winter and Cole are great characters, with flaws and insecurities but I loved them both from the beginning.

My Ex's Dad is Coming to Town is part of the multi-authored Bringing Home Trouble series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, forced-proximity, curvy girl gets her ex's dad Christmas romance. Winter is a 24 year old curvy massage therapist. Cole is a hunky millionaire businessman in his 40s. He is her ex's father. He always had a bit of a crush on her but distanced himself due to his son Ryan. When they meet at the airport unexpectedly, both end up stranded in Chicago during a snowstorm. Winter ends up staying in his hotel room, and things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y. They say it's one night, but both have very real feelings. When he offers to drive her to Texas to get home, they have a few extra days together. But what happens when she gets home. Will they fight for each other? I loved this couple. Their chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. I loved it! The bonus epilogue was great, too.

During the holiday season, I like reading more shorter reads. Eve London’s “My Ex’s Dad is Coming Town” is 106 pages of the right amount of romance, angst, and steam.
The romance begins with Cole running into Winter at the airport. Due to poor weather conditions, they get a car to ride back together home. However, Cole is Winter’s ex-boyfriend’s Dad, and they both are attracted to each other. This makes for steamier travel.
Along the way, though the story is short, there is enough time for some good romance scenes. And the end was nice, too. It was a good read.

A charming forbidden love/age gap romance. Cole runs into his son’s ex in the airport reigniting his hidden feelings for Winter. A bit of forced proximity due to a storm and sparks fly. I loved that Cole was a Mama Mae boy! A bit of angst, lots of sweetness, hot holiday spice, and a forever love lead to a heartfelt HEA. A great holiday romance read.

This was a great age gap romance. It was a short, well written story with a good flow. I loved the holiday vibe and the whole feel of the story. Winter and Cole had great chemistry and I loved their HEA.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Cole and Winter know each other because she dated his son, but they broke up because he was seeing someone else. Cole and Winter met in the O'Hare/Chicago airport when their flight gets delayed then cancelled. Cole gets a hotel is stay at but then takes Winter with him hoping they have another room for her. The hotel doesn't have any extra rooms and when Winter tries to leave and find someplace else to stay Cole insist she stay with him. After Cole orders them something to eat they are sitting and talking when Winter notices him kneading the back of his neck. Winter asks Cole if he has a headache then messages his neck. While they are eating their pizza Cole and Winter talk, she tells him she wants to get to know him. Cole asks Winter what's on her mind and she tells him she wants them to make love. Cole tells Winter they can have one night together, and no one needs to know about it. Cole then kisses Winter, then carries her to the bed. Cole then pleasure her, then he tells Winter she's in charge and they make love. The next day Cole finds out there are no flights going out, so he decides to rent a SUV and drive Winter to Texas. As they drive to Texas, Winter asks Cole about his childhood. When she starts to cry over how he came to live with Mama Mae, Cole has to pull over for Winter. Then Winter pleasure him, Cole pleasures her, they are pulling themselves back together when a state trooper knocks on their window. As they continue driving to Texas, stopping for lunch breaks. Winter asks Cole if he wants to stop soon, he asks her to find someplace for them to stay. Winter gives Cole directions to a hotel she wants to stay at. Cole pulls into a roadside in and keeps an open mind. The inn is filled with everything themed Christmas. After they enjoy a Christmas meal they head up to their room. Christmas music is playing on the speakers and floats into their room. Winter asks Cole if he wants to get into the whirlpool tub, after they settle in he pulls her on to his lap. Cole pleasure her then they make love. The next day Winter takes a shower before they are about to head back out on the road. When she comes out of the shower she can hear Cole talking to someone, when she walks up behind him she realizes it's his son, her ex. Winter runs back into the bathroom when she hears Cole's son, Ryan asks him what she's doing there. Cole asks Winter if she's alright, then apologies to her. Cole tells Winter she needs to tell her something, then tells her that Ryan proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes. Winter isn't sure how she's suppose to feel, Cole asks her if she's alright and she tells him she's fine. Winter tells Cole she's getting dress so that they can get on the road. Cole asks her what can he do, Winter tells him she just wants to go home. Winter doesn't talk much the rest of the trip home, Cole offers to buy her dinner but she tells him that her parents are waiting on her. As Cole pulls up to Winter's home he can't believe there aren't a lot of decorations out. Their time together was coming to an end but neither one wanted to tell the other how they felt. Cole grabs her bag but Winter tells him she can't take it. Cole gives Winter a picture of the two of them wearing Santa hats and tells her maybe it'll make her laugh every once in a while. Winter disappears through her front door, Cole decides to head to Mama Mae's. When Cole arrives Mama Mae is waiting on the front porch, she offers him supper. As Cole sits and eats Mama Mae asks him what brought him home. Cole tells Mama Mae about Winter, how he'd driven her all the way home. Mama Mae tells Cole when your heart finds its other half all you need to do is open yourself up to the goodness that's waiting for him. Cole crashes on the couch for the night, and decides to stick around for a few days. Winter sits on her front porch looking at the picture Cole gave to her when her mother comes and sits with her. Winter's mother asks her if she's feeling alright, she hasn't seemed like herself. Winter tells her mother she's has a lot on her mind. Winter tells her mother that she met someone but things are complicated. Winter's mother tells her that if she's doing herself a huge disservice by letting someone else's feeling keep her from something that could be the best thing in her life. Winter and her mother head inside and start baking cookies for the bazaar. A few hours later, they've loaded her mom's minivan with too many cookies. Christmas is just two days away and Winter has lost her holiday spirit. Winter works the decorating station at the holiday bazaar, and time passes quickly. Winter's mother comes to check on her and tells her she's not fooling anyone with her feelings about her ex's dad. Winter's mother asks her if Cole's a good man, then she asks her if he feels the same about her. Winter's mother turns her around so that she can see out the window. Winter sees two huge horses attached to a bright red carriage. A man dressed in a Santa suit hops down from the back but Winter knows that it's Cole. When Winter steps outside Cole tells her he'll have a blue Christmas without her he doesn't want to let her go. Cole tells her that what they have is worth fighting for. Winter asks him how does he feel about her, Cole tells. her he's head over heels in love with her. Cole tells her he loves her, and he's had feelings for her for a while. Winter asks him about his son's feeling, Cole asks her to come with him. Cole takes Winter back to her parents home. Cole tells Winter she's helped him rediscover the spirit of the holiday. Cole set up a dozen trees across her parent's yard using different colored lights, and a light up Santa on the rooftop. Winter asks him if he did all of this for her. Cole tells her he's a man who's not afraid to go after what he wants and he wants her. Cole pulls out a small wrapped box, and tells her he wanted to give her time but couldn't leave town without asking her a question. Winter tells him she loves him and Cole ask her if she'll marry him and she tells him yes. Cole tells her she never told him what she wanted for Christmas, Winter tells him all she wants for Christmas is him. One year later, Cole and Winter get married at an intimate wedding with a few family and friends. Winter tells Cole that everyday is Christmas with him. Cole is one of Mama Mae’s boys. He is disappointed in his son, Ryan, as he just broke up with his long time girlfriend, Winter, so Cole hadn’t planned on being with family for the Christmas Holidays. He had so much fun when Ryan and Winter would come for visits on the holidays. He found himself thinking that Winter was gorgeous and having the hots for her. She had been good for his son. I think that Ryan is so different from his father, because he wasn’t raised with Mama Mae’s help as much. Winter was going home to a small town near Austin, which is near his own hometown, Broken Bend. Winter is a massage therapist and I really enjoyed her, she is so upbeat and happy all the time and handles the things that life throws at her uniquely. Because of a storm, all of the flights are cancelled, and since Cole is both a gentleman and a caring man, he drags Winter with him to the hotel he booked when his flight was cancelled. While spending this time together they realize something- they are both drawn to each other. However, Cole feels like it’s wrong, because she had dated his son and because of all the years separating them. Wanting to spend more time with her, Cole drives Winter home. Things happen along the way that had me squealing and giggling with glee. There were a few funny spots as well as steamy and romantic ones. There was also one spot where I wanted to hit someone, and I seriously wanted to hit Ryan quite a few times. I found the story to be romantic and sweet and they are adorable together. I can’t wait to see what is coming next. I also really enjoyed that Winter, changed Cole’s life by being in it.

Getting home for Christmas is an unexpected adventure
My Ex's Dad is Coming to Town by Eve London is part of the multi-author Bringing Home Trouble series. I really enjoyed this story about Winter Fordham and Cole Calvin. Winter is young, sweet, curvy, and trying to get back home to Austin for Christmas with her parents for the first time in a few years. Cole is older, rich, owns his own successful business and is sexy. He is also trying to get to the Bahamas for Christmas this year, just to be by himself but not at home. Both find themselves at Chicago O'Hare Airport on the same day, at the same time, and experiencing the travel chaos during the holidays. These two know each other as Winter had been Cole son's girlfriend for several years. They lived together in Seattle until recently when he decided he did not want to be with her any longer and she discovered that he had been cheating on her. Cole is deeply upset with his son and feels sorry about what has happened to Winter. So when they cross paths at the airport they end up embarking on an adventure together that will find them being more than just travel companions. But the question is once you find your "one" can you overcome all the other obstacles that are it would bring. My money is on the holidays bringing more than a little sparkle and magic to these two. Cole Calvin is headed to the Bahamas a couple of days before Christmas. He is currently stuck in Chicago at the airport. He originally expected his son Ryan to bring home his girlfriend Winter. Cole really liked Winter and was even attracted to her. He found out that after over two years, Ryan cheated on her and broke up with her because she was too nice.
Winter Fordham is headed to Austin to see her family. She is also stuck in the airport in Chicago. She bumps into Cole. He takes her to the private lounge for frequent fliers. They talk. She remembers that Cole grew up in foster care at Mama Mae’s in Broken Bend Texas. It is not far from Austin.
All flights are cancelled, but Cole has a hotel room nearby. It is a suite. He took Winter with him to the hotel but there are no other rooms available, so she stays with him for the night. The next morning, there are still no flights so Cole decides to rent a SUV and take Winter home himself. They start on the trek from Chicago to Austin.

I loved this tale of two acquaintances running into each other at an airport on their way to their holiday plans. Of course, there is more to it than that; Winter was recently dumped by his cheating son and they had spent previous holidays together with said son. Weather delays their flights, so they share a hotel room as they catch up over the last year. With plenty of flirting, the two decide to give in to their feelings-for one night. Such a sexy scene! 🔥 Afterward, both know they want more, but is it really possible? When the airport is closed, Cole is determined to get Winter home for the holiday and their one night together drags into another day traveling in close quarters as he drives her to her parent's home. But then his son finds out about the two. Will it end their relationship—or did it even begin?
The author added a lot of Christmas song titles to the text, and it was a fun and festive scavenger hunt to look for them in this holiday story.

Cole, the male lead, thought his son was crazy when he stopped dating Winter, the female lead. Cole knew he was inappropriately attracted to Winter and certainly never acted on it but he’s shocked to run into her in an airport in a snowstorm. When all flights are grounded and hotel rooms booked out, he offers to share his with Winter, never dreaming that his attraction might be reciprocated, or that it might grow into a relationship.
This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy contemporary romance. I enjoyed Cole’s calmness and his support for Willow. I enjoyed Willow’s certainty of her desires. I empathised with their struggle over the social appropriateness of their potential relationship and enjoyed the resolution.

I love a good taboo story, and this one was no different! Both Cole and Winter tried so hard to do the right thing, but love wins every time. Cole was the total opposite of his cheating son and was an honourable man. He tried to cling to that honour for so long, but Winter and true love were hard to resist. Winter was a little ray of sunshine that seemed like nothing really effected her. But the sting of rejection was hard to overcome and there were some residual insecurities because of it. So many emotions that were written in a way you could feel them. The cameo with Mama Mae was perfect as always and the “win her back” scene was top tier! No cheating or OM/OW drama (other than the ex/son that was mentally between them), steamy scenes, Christmas joy overload, HEA and an epilogue a year in the future. A wonderful holiday addition with another of Mama Mae’s boys.

Cole has always admired his son's gf Winter, and is really disappointed when he learns that his son Ryan broke up with Winter AND cheated on her (Cole's pet peeve). They accidentally meet again at the Chicago airport and as both their flights have been delayed, are forced to spend the night together IN ONE BED (horrors). Well you can guess where things lead to.
As this is an age gap forbidden love kind of story, I liked that it wasn't too icky, and quite realistic in that all those who mattered to them took a while to come around to support them. I also liked reading about Mama Mae again. And of course with many of Ms London's books, this was entertaining and steamy too.

My Ex’s Dad is Coming to Town is delightful! Hot AF with flirty banter and steamy moments, Cole and Winter are most definitely made for each other. I love how Eve London builds her stories with perfectly imperfect characters, entertaining plots, and plenty of sizzling moments. Cole is an amazing man with a heart of gold and a grumpy demeanor. As we learn more about him, I connected with him on such a deep level. Winter is a sweet and sassy woman who cares deeply and wears her heart on her sleeve. I love how Cole loves her, and how she brazenly loves him back. The miscommunication in this novella brings out an extra level of deliciousness that we all get to enjoy. This is a fun holiday novella!.

This is a great story. Cole meets Winter, his sons ex, at the airport in Chicago where they find all flights are cancelled. Cole gets a motel room and asks Winter to stay with him. Even though this seems taboo to them they both have deep feelings and promise each other one night together. But the heart wants what the heart wants and Cole decides to drive Winter to Texas so they can have more time together. But will they ever be able to be together. Loved this steamy read, it's an excellent holiday story with great characters you really feel for.

This is book 2 Bringing Home Trouble starring Cole and Winter. This one is sure to get you in the holidays just in time for love and laughter. I have to say I thought of Winter as being more of a Mrs. Clause type of character with happiness and smiles but she has a mischievous side to her too, that makes me think of the elves that make the toys in the workshop. Cole is this man with a broken spirit of his past and Winter helps him find is Christmas spirit again. I loved reading this age gap holiday love story.

The Cole we first meet is slightly gruff and grumpy, hating Christmas and basically just walking through his life. But seeing him with Winter, we see a completely new Cole emerge, he is more relaxed and playful, shares his fantasies, dirty talks like a champ, embraces Christmas and really begins living. Winter is a very sweet character who loves with her whole heart and although she didn't realise it before, Cole has always had a piece of that heart.
It may be forbidden, society may frown upon it, but their chemistry and love is there for all to see, it cannot be denied - so embrace it and celebrate it!

I loved My Ex's Dad is Coming to Town Bringing Home Trouble. Cole can’t believe his son was stupid enough to let Winter go. She’s everything. When he runs into her at he airport it’s fate, snow has them sharing a hotel room and their feelings. Nothing can come from their few days together both Cole and Winter know they don’t have a future but that doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy their time together. Unfortunately, those feelings are real and now they have to decide if love is enough. I loved the storyline and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

Love these short and steamy Christmas novellas in this series. They are feel good love stories. When Winter is stranded in Chicago during a blizzard, running into her ex’s father may be everything she wishes for Christmas. Cole needed to escape all this Christmas madness and head to somewhere tropical, but a snow storm cancels flights leaving out of Chicago. Finding Winter in the same situation turns his grinch around. Loved it.
