Cotton is having trouble dealing with his past and the events regarding Roe. Roe has moved on and is married, but Cotton is in limbo, memories locking him into place. He finally makes the decision that he must try to move on after his brothers in the Haydes Abyss MC club has made it clear that they are going to force him to forgive himself for a situation where he was not at fault and to move forward.
Cotton isn't happy with his life so decides he will give their way a try and accepts the offer to go on a trip with his brother. Then, out of the blue, he gets a call from a former military friend inviting him to join up for the same weekend. Cotton gives his apologies and rushes out to meet with his old Navy buddy, Tyler. But Tyler has changed, and not for the better. He now has a woman, Lavinia, who he treats cruelly and abusively Cotton is stunned and knows he has to rescue her.
Lavinia isn't sure she can trust Cotton after being used by Tyler's other friends, but she figures things can't get any worse, and she "feels" that Cotton is different, so she takes a chance. When Cotton offers her a chance to flee, she takes it.
A story of a hopeless situation that becomes a hopeful future. Two people who were meant to save each other and give them a future of possibilities, hope, and love. Cotton is finally here! I have been waiting for his book since Bear.
Cotton holds so much guilt over what happened with him and Roe, even though that guilt is misplaced. They were both taken advantage of and my heart broke for them. I loved that Harley showed that men can be assaulted, and taken advantage of, as well. So many people rebel against the fact that men can be assaulted.
Cotton just needed that right person to come into his life to show him that he is a good person. That that one event doesn't define him and doesn't make those around him think lesser of him. While his actions, feelings, and guilt are very understandable, as a man I can imagine the struggle he would go through coming to terms with what happened. Lavinia was exactly what he needed. Someone who didn't know his past and who saw the good in him. She gave him a "do-over" of sorts. Her, along with the baby, gave him the opportunity to come to peace with his past.

This is another memorable book from the talented Harley Wylde, and it's the 12th installment in the Hades Abyss MC series! It's a great opportunity to catch up with the crew and the situations they find themselves in, highlighting that family is forever for the Hades Abyss MC.

Lavinia certainly didn’t deserve to be treated like nothing. Cotton needed to move on from Roe. He couldn’t hold onto the past. When he meets up with an old buddy, things aren’t as he thought. Tyler is cold and once he saw the fear in Lavinia eyes, he knew he had to get her away. He wasn’t about to let Tyler keep treating Lavinia the way he does. The MC is still working through issues and working on tightening up. We finally have the story that will heal Cotton aka Green Caine. He had so much guilt. I was never use is he would move on. With Lavinia, you could feel her fear. She seemed like a woman broken but honestly, she held on. Granted she had trust issues, but her life was rough. These two souls need each other to heal. The song, “Someone you loved” definitely fits. I was shocked that we also had a mole. Hades has had enough issues. Let this MC heal.

Cotton and Lavinia are both battling demons and as a result stay away from others. When Cotton goes to visit his friend Tyler, he connects with Lavinia who is being abused by his friend. Lavinia finds herself pregnant without any hope because she has no one other than Tyler who is abusive and takes his frustrations out on her. Cotton comes to her rescue, but will she be able to freely escape Tyler and be free to have a happily ever after with Cotton. This poignant story has some triggers that may be hard for some but is a great story, nonetheless.

I've been wanting Cottons's story and the wait wss worth it. The guilt about what happened with Roe is weighing heavily on Cotton and decides he needs a change so he takes his military buddys offer to come hang out with him and some other guys. There he meets Lavinia. Lavinia has been treated horribly by Tyler, and has been beaten down. Cotton notices and makes it his mission to rescue and care for Lavinia. These two are both damaged in their own way and are able to save each other. I loved this story. It was filled with drama, suspense, action, romance and made you feel things that don't leave you even when you are done with the book. This is another amazing story.

An emotionally heartbreaking roller coaster ride to go on. Cotton and Lavinia are two people fighting demons. Cotton can't let go of the past and Lavinia is fighting for her life. I loved how Cotton saw the situation with Lavinia and Tyler for what it truly was and stepped right in to protect her. His protectiveness, understanding and compassion was simply beautiful. This story had a little bit of everything; suspense, action, thrills, chills but most of all love. I enjoyed every single second of this book.

After meeting up with his old Military buddy Tyler, he finds that Tyler's not the guy he used to know. Tyler's abusing his wife in the worst way and Cotton knows he needs to do something. This is the beginning of him finding what he's been missing all along. It goes without saying that their path isn't an easy one but if they stay the course they'll have everything they've ever dreamed of.

Cotton and Lavinia are just perfect! Cotton is dealing with demons from his past. He gets together with old friends hoping to find some support and relief from the ghost making him crazy. What he doesn’t bargain on is meeting Lavinia or the immediate need to save her from his friend who has a dark side! Their love story is a whirl of give and take. Saving each other and searching out the love they long for! Great read!

Cotton and Lavinia couldn't have been more perfect for each other. One of the things I love about HW's books is the men can be just as much in need of love and support as the women. Her books are infused with strength and hope; no matter how dark or traumatized the characters. Cotton is such a good guy, he is exactly what Lavinia needed in her life to break free from her horrible situation. I loved these two so much! Can't wait to see what the Hades Abyss gets up to next!

Oh be still my heart. Harley you have done it again. Cotton finds Lavinia in a horrible situation and, like all the men of Hades Abyss, he saves her. Lavinia escapes with Cotton and finds herself a family with the club members and their women. When these men fall, they fall hard! can’t get enough of this series. The insta-lust/love is just what I needed after the week I’ve had. You won’t be disappointed <3

Livina made a very wrong choice when she got wrapped up with Tyler, but sometimes you don’t see the devil till it’s too late! Cotton still stinging from his own trauma does everything he can to become her avenging angel. Fortunately, love in a little bit of muscle prevail! I love all her books and I can’t wait for each one to come out.

Cotton has a backstory that causes him to have angst and tends to fight an inner battle with himself over things from the past. This book tied in nicely with previous books in the series and brought about a new love interest for him that is also fighting a battle. Together they make a wonderful couple whom fight for each other.

Cotton is fighting his demons with everything that went on with Roe. Then he met Lavina and he is interested in her and takes her home with him getting her out a bad situation. Him and Lavina start to build their life together and he thinks he found his forever with her.

A good addition to the Hades Abyss series. It took me a bit longer to get through this book, but it's still a great read. Cotton finally found his hea. I felt a lot of empty promises were made by him and the MC. But they were redeemed when they finally got Liv back.
