Spicy Romance in a Sapphic BDSM Club for Witches

Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets …

… unless she’s on the Devil’s feckless list and her boss wants results, then she better hustle.

Ordered to find her own replacement, Satan sends his irresistible seductress and soulless minion to a Sapphic BDSM club for witches called The Devil’s Playground. But who will Lola recommend for the job? Magda, the brilliant sex goddess submissive, or her butch Dom, Deborah, aka Sigrid the Proud? Maybe Mistress Sheba, or the mysterious one-eyed Baroness?

Of one thing she's sure, it will not be Zenobia, leader of The Devil’s Playground and head of the family coven. An unexpected reunion with the magnificent woman who, seventeen centuries earlier, turned her from men to Sapphic sex, tempts Lola to accept the invitation from modern-day Master Zen to explore her submissive side, reexamine her life, make new choices, and dare hope for a future.

But the provocative temptress exists on borrowed time; Satan plans to torture and condemn the soulless witch to hell for all eternity. Can the staff family of The Devil’s Playground save Lola’s job, life, and even her soul?

WORK ALERT for When Sapphic witches explore bondage, domination, submission, and taboo behavior in private, public, and polyamorous scenes, things get hot. The Devil’s Playground is super Sapphic spice, sizzling with BDSM scenes between women. Don't read this at work unless you have one hell of a poker face.

Genta Sebastian runs with scissors, always laughs without shame, sometimes writes naked, and can’t help dreaming big.

A multiple award-winning author, she sometimes writes Sapphic romances, like the Troublemaker series:

When Butches Cry (2nd ed. rel. August, 2023)as:
A Troublemaker Never Cries
A Troublemaker May Surprise (rel. August, 2023)
A Troublemaker Sometimes Lies (exp. rel. date Nov. 2023)
A Troublemaker in Her Eyes (exp. rel. date May, 2024)

She’s also written two novels for children living in Rainbow Families: Riding the Rainbow (GCLS award winner 2015) for middle-school readers, and A Man’s Man for Young Adults.

She stepped into the horror genre with: We Don’t Say Gay in Tranquility Bay! a trigger-warning horror story with a twist.

Lost is a novelette right out of the Twilight Zone. A grieving widow finds a strange child lost in a snowstorm, made of snow and ice.

But she started out writing wlw (women loving women, i.e. lesbian) erotica short stories that range from super-hot sexy sci-fi Martian/Human first contact, to culinary cunnilinguists, to drag kings, to college and tropical vacations, exotic settings, unforgettable characters, and quirky situations. These stories are fully adult and not intended for young audiences.

Wow, what a fascinating story! This spicy Sapphic fantasy centers around The Devil’s Playground BDSM club. DP is a club full of witches, Goddesses, Demi-goddesses, Dommes, subs, other magical beings, and regular humans. While regular humans are allowed to play in certain parts of the club the story mainly focuses on the magical aspects of the club. The story begins with an attack on the club and that just begins the wild ride that is The Devil’s Playground. We get to meet Satan’s lovers, children, and employees and watch them battle for love and freedom. The spice in this book centers around BDSM and it was very hot with many unique and wonderful spicy scenes. There was a lot of butch representation which I don’t always see in Sapphic romances. I appreciated the focus on safe, sane and consensual encounters. I was rooting for the love between characters and could empathize with them. This was an engrossing story and I could easily see other books set in this world. There was a lot of mention of Lilith but we never got to meet her… maybe in book two.

Like a hot fairy tale full of BDSM scenes and battles for souls and witches against half-goddesses.
Satan who holds all the strings in his hand and plays them like in a hellishly hot puppet show.
It is spicy and has delicious scenes between Dom and subs, delicious butch/femme dynamic.
But not only that, it is also quite complex and I had to read through the constellations and pasts of the individual characters again at the beginning.
In the here and now they have different name, because witches and half-gods naturally have different lives etc. over time. Trigger warnings at the beginning of the book should be read!
Nonetheless, it’s funny, witty, hot and also romantic with deep feelings.

I was extremely lucky to have been able to read this book as an ARC. I truly loved every minute of it and could not put it down, especially at certain points. The characters are so relatable but also very different which is what I was looking for. It’s a wonderful fantasy world that can truly be built on and explored even more. I actually became very attached to a few of the side characters (Baroness and Sheba 😮‍💨) and would love to see a little more of them in the future. I will definitely be recommending this book and keeping an eye for future endeavors.

I was not sure about this book in the beginning it being darker than the books I usually read. I should have known that Genta would not let me down. I could not put this book down. It may have some triggers, and she lists them in the beginning so just a heads up. I have not read a book by the author that I did not like. To say this book is HOT would be an understatement. I loved every character, well except for Freyja and the devil of course lol. You do not want to miss this book. I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
