This was an enjoyable Fated mates romance between protective werewolf Hugh, and single mum Gia - a powerful witch and assassin. This had a good mix of steamy romance, conflicted feelings, and action, and I liked the snippets of drama and tension between Gia and Hugh, and the family bonds. Hugh being protective of Gia's kids was sweet too. This had some intriguing mystery with a quest for vengeance, dark forces attacking the family, and exploring hidden powers and bonds. Gia's character was very stubborn and resistant to help, but I liked that she softened with Hugh's help and embraced her second chance at love and healing.
🐺"I've got you little one. You're mine. No one can hurt you now"
🐺"He illuminates your world, my love. Literally. Sparks fly between the two of you"
Book two focuses on a couple that we briefly met. Gia, is Francesca's sister and then we have Hugh. Hugh is a werewolf and upon meeting they are drawn to each other. A simple touch is electric, a kiss is consuming. Next thing they know their back at his place devouring each other. He knows that she's his mate, she has no clue. But he's already head over heels for her. She doesn't realize that she's going to have a new tag-along before long. What is meant to be a one night stand, leads to her falling asleep after the deed, a hot and electrifying night. He drops hints of what is between them and she starts to possibly piece it together. But will she let him pursue her? Take a spot in her life and her kids? During the night Gia slips out, and Hugh can't help but feel the loss that is now surrounding him…
The book starts out into some steamy scenes fairly quick, and and in multiples already in the first few chapters. We have some insta-love/connection but also a woman who's lost her husband and children's father. A widow trying to find her husband's murdered, and also one who lives a dual life. Not just as a witch but also as a Assassin by night. Driven by the need for vengeance, she'll do anything to find the one who took her husband from her. We also get a now grumpy and protective werewolf who tags along for the ride with Gia. She thought she wouldn't run into him again, just one night. He hoped that he would find her again. Little did they know that the job she took would walk her right back into each other's path.
The world building is well done, and characters are lively. Sara has a way with pulling you in and also making the characters likable. The FMC for me was a little much with some of the inner monologue but, that's just a me thing. I did enjoy the story, it was and wasn't a typical read for me. I will recommend it to those who like a series that can be read as a stand-alone, shifters, and single mom's who do what they must to provide for their kids.
Can be read as a stand-alone Thank you to the Author for this gifted eARC
Thank you Flying Pig Pr and Sara Ohlin for the gifted book. #sinfulbite #flyingpigpr

Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot, It was a very sweet and cosy read, especially for the time of year. It did drag a bit in parts due to the internal monologue of the FMC. It's a bit much at times but it was worth it to push through them to read more of Hugh and Gia's story.
One sinful taste is all it takes for werewolf Hugh to realize Gia is his fated mate. But she’s tormented by dark secrets that won’t leave her. Can Hugh convince her he’s her fated mate and belongs with him? Sinful Bite is an intoxicating paranormal romance from start to finish. Hugh and Gia’s meet cute is one of the most seductive I’ve ever read. The world-building is flawless and intricately detailed. The characters are complex and relatable. The romance is fated mates and so well-written, I couldn’t stop reading.
Sara Ohlin is an emotional author and her passion bleeds across the pages. The writing grabs the reader by the throat and doesn’t let go until the final page. She’s quickly becoming one of my favorite paranormal romance authors.
The world-building is without flaw. Each scene builds upon the next with lush narration and a plethora of paranormal creatures. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down.
The characters are well detailed and rich in emotional tension. There is a lot of secrets and subtext going on. But instead of revealing all at once, Sara Ohlin peels back one layer at a time. I connected with both Gia and Hugh.
Stop what you’re doing and pick up Sinful Bite. This book is a treat to read.
Sinful Bite is the second installment in the Enchanted Mates series which I absolutely enjoyed reading this paranormal romance. Sinful Bite is beautifully written, well-balanced, and perfectly executed by Author Sara Ohlin. Sinful Bite is the first book that I have read by this author and I’m definitely going to look into reading the first book of this series and I hoped Sara Ohlin will write another amazing book to continue the series. Sinful Bite is the narrative of Hugh and Gia whom I found to be quite interesting, intriguing, entertaining, and their story was an absolute pleasure to read. I LOVED reading Gia and Hugh’s marvelous love story, and I couldn’t get enough. While reading Sinful Bite, I was almost quite literally on the edge of my seat the entire time. I couldn’t set the book down for very long before picking it back up to continue reading. I’m thrilled to know that Gia and Hugh’s story ends with a happily ever after. Sinful Bite is most definitely a book that I would encourage other readers to checkout this fantastic paranormal romance story.

Sinful Bite is a beautifully written, steamy, and cosy paranormal romance with so much heart and emotion woven into the characters. I always know I’m in safe hands with Sara’s books and this was no different. There is so much to love about Hugh, the werewolf shifter who falls madly in love with Gia from the moment he meets her. He falls first AND he falls harder. Some of my favourite scenes were with Hugh’s extended family and there are plenty of werewolf brothers to choose from for any future books…just saying!
Gia is prickly and stubborn and resistant to finding love again, but that’s understandable given that her husband was murdered three years ago. Ever since his murder, Gia has been doing everything she can to hunt down the killer. She is strong and independent and wants to do everything on her own, but her connection with Hugh is so strong that he is always there for her, even when she doesn’t realise she needs him. I won’t give anything away, but just as with Book 1, the ending was fast-paced and loaded with twists and reveals.
Book 2 of Enchanted Mates cast a spell on me—witchy vibes, sizzling romance, and I was blissfully bewitched 'til the very last page!
I didn’t think it was possible, but Sinful Bite completely outdid the first book in the series. From the first chapter, I was hooked—there’s just something about the way Sara Ohlin writes that makes you feel like you're right there with the characters, wrapped up in all the heat, tension, and emotion.
The romance in this one was even more intense, with a deeper emotional connection and some seriously swoony (and spicy!) moments. The pacing was fast and addictive—I ended up devouring the whole book in one night without even realizing how late it was. The plot had just the right amount of drama and intrigue to keep things moving, but never felt over-the-top.
If you enjoyed Book 1, you're going to love Book 2 even more. And if you're new to the series, you’re in for a steamy, emotional ride that’s hard to put down. Highly recommend!
What to expect: - paranormal romance - fated mates - werewolf x witch - single mom - found family - workplace romance
3.5⭐️
this is the second book in the enchanted mates series and i am really glad that we got gia and hugh's story in this one. i will say that gia kind of made me mad a few times with how stubborn she is😂 but she does have every right to be that way since her husband was murdered three years ago. hugh was so patient with her and was really good with her kids which warmed my heart. (i will forever love a man good with kids).
compared to the first book, this one wasnt as good. there were parts that just felt drawn out too much for my taste but all in all i really enjoyed it and am excited for the next one which comes out soon.
Hugh, the MMC, is a werewolf without his own family. Gianna, the FMC, is a single mom witch who keeps her powers hidden because of her traumatic past. They have a one night stand, that Hugh wanted to be more. Hugh knows that Gia is his mate but she doesn't. She ran out after their night but they come back together when she gets hired by his family's company.
She's wrapped up in vengeance for her murdered husband and mother. There is someone out there trying to hurt her and she doesn't know who. They work together to hunt that person down because even though she doesn't want his help, he won't leave her.
The pacing was really good and the steamy parts were too. It wasn't overwhelming for the story but just right for our mc's.
Gia ate at a restaurant in Mercy and loves their decadent chocolate cake. She moans with every bite. This is her first night off in how long without her kids and she is enjoy wine and cake. Hugh walks in and cannot take his eyes off of her. His wolf is howling that she is his mate. Little do they both know how long it will take for both to trust each other. Hugh is very patent. This book is about love lies fighting to the death, death and finding oneself. Great read.

This book was what I really needed to read and it’s made my heart feel so happy 🥰
Ever since reading bits about Gia and Hugh in luscious bite, I have been so excited to read their book. The scene that mainly stuck in my head in the previous book was them quarrelling. I think that made me know their book was going to be so good.
I really enjoyed the push and pull between Gia and Hugh. It made it that much more sweeter when they finally became a couple!
The way Hugh was so obsessed with Gia was… I don’t really have any words. It just made me giggle a lot with excitement 🤣
Gia is a full time mom, part time financial analyst, part time assassin, and full time witch. She's definitely got her work cut out for her, and when Hugh comes into the mix, everything changes. Hugh is a werewolf, and now happens to be sort of her boss, neighbor, and...mate? As Gia's life becomes more and more complicated, Hugh just wants to be there for her and take care of her. But she finds that more difficult than everything else. When she finally allows herself to rely on others, their lives are at stake, but with help, she can get her kids back and save them all.
After book 1 which I really enjoyed, I was so looking forward to book 2. It was just as enjoyable and romantic. I hope there'll be more books in this series. I'm enjoying Sara Ohlin's skillful, engaging writing in this series which is more paranormal romance. I love her sweet, clean romances just as much.
It's another one of my pre-Halloween 2024 picks.
4 stars
Thanks to Sara Ohlin

Such a cosy, paranormal fantasy romance. Felt very apt for the time of year, and just what I needed to break up some heavier fantasy I’ve been reading.
The internal monologue of the FMC is a bit much, and did make the middle drag out a little. But I still absolutely devoured it in a couple of days!
This is a well written paranormal/shifter romance with strong characters in Gia and Hugh. The author brings drama, action and intrigue along with the romance, moves the story fluidly and delivers an enjoyable fated mates read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
Sinful Bite is part of the An Enchanted Mates series and I really enjoyed Gia and Hugh's story. If you like excellent writing, a well-developed plot, and complicated characters that step outside the typical romance trope lines, then this book is for you. It definitely was for me!.

Highly enjoyable and well written by Sara Ohlin, I loved the fire between Gia and Hugh from their first look in the restaurant. My heart squeezed at how the Webbs wrapped their arms so wholly around the Reilys before they knew Gia was Hugh's fated mate. The restaurant scene was was one of my absolute favourites. True found forever family.
Tropes: Shifter (him) Witch/Assassin (her) Fated Mates Found family Single mom Workplace Romance

A beautifully crafted story of fated mates, werewolf Hugh and witch Gia. A steamy read with plenty going on, secrets held and revealed. Some heavy topics such as death and trauma so check your triggers if needed.

I always love witch stories and paranormal romance. What I was really hoping for was a greater focus on Gia's assassin side. Nonetheless, I was immediately pulled into the story by the one-night-stand-to-coworkers trope. I also enjoyed how her children played into the story.

This is a very descriptive, sad to sweet supernatural romance story. It drags on a bit too much for my liking, with the inner dialogue of the main character. She's a very depressed individual. But overall it was a good read.
This was a cozy paranormal/ shifter romance and I really enjoyed it:) Gia being stubborn is the only reason this got 3 and not 4, she was killing me hahahah! I would have fallen all over myself for Hugh😂👌
I loved this book. Sinful Bite is intoxicating. The characters are complex and relatable. Hugh and Gia's passion bleeds across the pages. Ohlin brings us a dark world of magic, romance, and phenomenal suspense.
We get Gia and Hugh's story after meeting them in the previous book in this series. I like how kickass Gia is but she has a lot of internal conflict and Hugh is so sweet with her and her kids.

I LOVED this book. The desire and lust between Hugh and Gia was on point. I could relate to Gia n the sense she was a single mom. I couldn’t put the book down. I read it in one night!!
