Kidnapping his enemy’s daughter? Easy. Resisting her sweetness while they’re snowed-in and there’s only one bed? Brutal.

Nik “Saint” Valentine goes by a lot of names and identities—former Bratva enforcer, FSS agent, prison inmate and now assassin. With endless black ink, too many scars to count and a sarcastic streak that should be registered as a lethal weapon, he takes “bad boy” to a whole new level.

When opportunity strikes, Saint impulsively kidnaps the daughter of the billionaire tycoon bankrolling The Agency, a secret organization trying to eliminate Saint’s team. He isn’t prepared, however, for the sweet, yet sassy good girl to challenge him at every turn.

Mia Carlisle might be Nik’s prisoner, but she’s always been fascinated by dangerous men. Her big, grumpy, tattooed captor with the faint, sexy accent who just handcuffed her to the bed is no exception. He’s beyond intriguing and takes her boring, lonely life from zero to overdrive in the blink of an eye.

Together, Saint and Mia head to Russia to lay a trap to catch her father. But when Saint’s dark past finally catches up with him, and secrets are revealed, old ghosts and bloodthirsty vengeances threaten to extinguish Mia’s innocent light. Saint knows he’ll do anything to protect her…even if it means facing the monsters that could inevitably destroy him.

***This is an interconnected series and each warrior finds a happily-ever-after in his own story.

Every darn time I read a book by Charissa Gracyk it becomes my new favourite and Saint is no different. He’s in so much need of love, understanding and acceptance you can’t help but open your heart to him.

This team has been through so much. They’ve faced untold enemies, fought with everything in them and come out the victor!! Saints turn is no different.

This story packs a powerful and life changing punch that will knock you sideways and leave you breathless.

Saint is a total alpha male. He’s dominant and is laser focussed on bringing down the enemy that nothing penetrates the walls he’s built around himself.

I love the bond and camaraderie that he shares with his team. They are the best kind of family, the family he chose.

Saint had suffered intolerable cruelty and violence that no one should be subjected to as a vulnerable child. No surprise that it made him into the man he is now. But where Saint would say he’s unloveable and a disappointment, I would say he is a man worth loving, a man who enriches the lives of those he comes into contact with and most importantly, a man with such a pure heart it leaves you breathless.

Mia is an absolute sweetheart of a character. She’s a total ray of light and envelopes everyone in warmth. She may have had a privileged upbringing but her childhood was just as traumatising for her as Saints was for him. But, despite that she became an absolute beautiful person with a soul of pure gold.

Watching the light and warmth she brings to Saint is so heartwarming. She is everything he never knew he needed to be whole. she brings him back to life with care and an abundance of love and acceptance that takes your breath away.

The journey they have gone through was ladened with danger, fear and the knowledge that they may not survive it. But throughout all of it, they are where they are meant to be. Two hearts together doing everything they can to survive, each being the other’s strength.

Charissa Gracyk has absolutely outdone herself. Her writing just goes from strength to strength. Each story full of depth and a maelstrom of emotions that will rip your heart out and gently put it back together.

An absolutely phenomenal read. If you can’t tell this is a story I wholeheartedly recommend.

Every single star in the night sky is needed to truly portray the beauty of this story.

This book knocked me for a six. The growly alpha male who just about grunts out all his answers decided to kidnap one of The Agency's daughters. Bad play on Saint's side, or maybe not. It seems he has met his match in Mia. She is a typical poor little rich girl, or so he thought. Saint has a past that haunts him. They went to Russia to catch some Agency guys and nearly died. It took the whole team to rescue them, and they definitely deserve their happy ending. I recommend this book because it captivates you. And you will hold your breath.

How can you fall in love with a character during the prologue? Well I did, hard and fast. I love that we get to see what made Saint the person he is today right away. Then watching the tough guy turn into a soft loving man was a journey I was happy to go on. Throw in some action, spice (never have I ever wanted to be snowed in so bad) and you have an amazing book! I actually said “oh no” out loud! Every book I read by Charissa Gracyk becomes my favorite, but this one is it for real for real!

WOW!!! With every book Charissa Gracyk writes, she draws me deeper into the worlds she creates, and into her characters’ lives. Each book is better than the last, and each new book is my favorite. I have loved every single book in the Force Protection Delta series, and I thought Inda would be my favorite of this team…Saint just blew me away.

The characters in this book are phenomenal, and their storyline is filled with conflict and tension and drama - but it's sweet and spicy and so thrilling, with suspense that had me holding my breath, waiting to see how the story unfolded. Considering how their story begins (You'll have to read it to find out!), the growth in these characters from beginning to end makes their love story one of my very favorites! I love Saint and Mia so much.

I recommend reading the Force Protection Delta series in order due to the continuing story of The Agency.

This starts with Saint kidnapping Mia, the daughter of one of The Agency targets and Ms Gracyk has her sounding more annoyed than fearful; has Saint finally met his match?
After getting to know these characters throughout the series, it is very satisfying to discover that the hard, chain smoking, broken, ex bratva man, discovers he has a heart and be brought to his knees by a young, innocent woman.
Betrayed by those who took him in, believing he was unloved by all, Mia, this slip of a woman, shines light on all his darkness and makes him open his heart to emotions he didn't know he was capable of.
Ms Gracyk has given us a tightly plotted, well-paced thriller, with action to keep you breathless and heat that burns up the pages when our main characters get together. That they get out of the freezing cold wastelands of Mother Russia with their lives is miraculous, but worth all the ribbing that the team dishes when they see for themselves that Saint has fallen in love…
Only one to go in the action packed series and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Saint is another awesome read by Charissa Gracyk!
I read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down.
I definitely found my new favorite hero in Saint! He’s got bad boy written all over him but of course there’s much more inside him than we think.
Mia is immediately attracted to him ( can’t blame her) She’s the daughter of his enemy and he wants revenge. So he kidnaps her. That’s when the action and suspense starts. The kidnapper becomes the protector.. I don’t want to give away spoilers so just pick up this awesome book and read it!! You won’t be able to put it down! It’s suspenseful, emotional and intriguing!
The author did a great job with character development and the way the book is written makes you feel like you are part of the story.
Highly recommended!!
I received this arc from the author and this review is my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved reading all about Nik (aka Saint)! He has been intriguing throughout this series. I knew he was a loner but the minute he threw Mia Carlisle in the back of his SUV his life changed. Shy Mia found her voice and didn’t back down when Grumpy Nik came out with his sarcastic remarks and responses. Nik was shocked and very attracted to the innocent beauty. Both are hiding secrets hurts and a trip to Russia brings Nik’s bad memories to the forefront. And Nik’s out of cigarettes. There are many laughs, lots of hurt and healing, action, suspense and steam. I started the book to try to forget the cliffhanger of another book and it was just what I needed. You really need to one click this one.

We've been waiting for Saint. We knew he had a dark past but didn't realize how dark. But just as dark as his past, Mia's was just as desolate, wrapped in fancy surroundings. Emotional hurt is emotional hurt, and these two find each other. It was a high-stakes race through frozen Russia against old and new enemies. Charissa writes fast-paced, gripping novels of romance and adventure that keep you on the edge of your seat to a satisfying conclusion. I enjoy her series, and this one is no exception. I am thrilled that each team member gets their HEAs!

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy eArc. These opinions are mine.

Ok, here’s the thing, this book is crazy good. As always with this amazing author, we get a ton of edge of your seat action, but Saint, oh Saint, your growly, bear! Saint has a traumatic background, but, so does Mia, who Saint makes the decision to kid-nap! Yep, kid-nap! Mia is a daughter of a leader of The Agency, a group targeting Saint and Saint’s whole team.

I’m not going to tell you what happens, but I had a few “I’m gonna toss my kindle” moments.

Also, Saint is an Alpha. So there’s that.

Mia is resilient in so many ways, she remains a ray of sunshine to Saint’s darkness, but when light and dark collide, it’s crazy good!

You will not be disappointed! Although this book is part of a series, you can read this as a stand alone.

You know how you have an idea how someone became who they are. Well, I never even came close to how Saint became who he was. This book will keep you hooked from page one. I could not stop reading it. The storyline flows so smoothly. The added intrigue and that little bit of suspense has you flipping pages. Saint and Mia were perfect for one another. Two broken people who come together and fit perfectly together. Definitely five stars, and am on pins and needles for Braxton's story. Very well done!!!

Saint is the main character of this book…he’s focused on bringing an enemy to justice. His childhood had been one of cruelty and violence moulding him into the man he is now….uncommunicative and cold. On a whim he decides to kidnap his enemy’s daughter Mia, thinking that she is a poor little rich girl…huge mistake. The next mistake is him thinking that her father will run to save his daughter, but no. There is a happy ending but also much to process and learn along the way. Action, drama, suspense, spice, intrigue will keep you guessing and turning the pages to find out how relationships evolve. Initially I wasn’t keen on Saint as a character, but he grew on me after he and Mia fight through the challenges this storyline gives us. Another great addition to this series.

Saint starts out as the ultimate badboy with his tattoos, leather jacket and bad attitude. All of this hides a painful past and a traumatic childhood. Mia is his enemy's daughter and his enemy by default. But this beauty is finding her way under her skin.

Mia felt an instant attraction to Saint when she first met him at the Sip and Spark evening. Her cautious nature kept her from immediately following the handsome man out the door but her attraction to Saint compelled her to take a chance. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever.

Saint kidnaps Mia at the start of the book and the sparks just keep on flying from there on. He calls her kitten but he just might be all the catnip that she needs.

Suspense, attraction and danger will pull you into this story. Charissa paints a picture with her words that keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you feeling like you are part of this world. This series is interlinked and reading about the other characters always feels like I am visiting old friends.

Saint starts out dark, broody and closed off. This pampered princess is simply a means to end the Agency. Mia starts as more meek and mild or like a kitten without claws. During the book both characters transform and somehow meet each other in middle. Saint shows he has a softer side and Mia discovers an inner strength and willingness to fight for her man.

This story is well-written with two complex main characters that will crawl into your heart. Well worth the read!

If you don’t fall head over heels for Saint after reading this book, you need to read it again!

Nik “Saint” Vasilevsky is a broody, chain-smoking, Russian-born assassin. Mia Carlisle is the daughter of a wealthy businessman. She is unspoiled and unsure of herself. What started out as Saint kidnapping the daughter of one of his team’s enemies quickly turned into an adventure and a love story. Neither of them was the same after.

Saint has a vulnerability behind the tough guy persona. You can’t help but feel the hurt from his childhood. He’s more than just a bad boy; he’s a survivor. The Ex Nihilo team has been good for him. He’s learned to trust and accept help…sometimes. Mia’s innocence and spunk is the complete opposite of Saint, and she is exactly what he needed.

The banter had me laughing hysterically. Who decides that annoying their kidnapper is a good idea? There is a natural ease between them. The conversation and actions between them had a great flow. The characters grew together and found their happily ever after. Everything in this story worked.

Charissa Gracyk never fails to go the extra mile and do the research to be authentic with the information in her stories. I know I’m going to enjoy the experience every time I read one of her books.

I started reading this book, thinking I had Saint all figured out. I was sorely mistaken. He is a lot more complex than I had originally thought and I can't help but love him even more.

Saint has always fascinated me. He was a man of few words, and when he did speak, it was either something sarcastic or mean (my kind of man) but he was always there when his team needed him, no questions asked and that's what drew me in.

He let little hints out about his past throughout the series, however, now that it's out in the open, my heart hurts for him. What he went through to survive--to belong--broke my heart.

Finding someone like Mia, who wore her heart on her sleeve was the best thing for him. (Although I wouldn't say kidnapping is the best way to start a relationship) She accepted him for him.

She didn't see him as damaged or broken, as he saw himself. She saw herself in him. A small child wanting to be loved but never receiving it. With her help, he was able to open up and allow himself to love and be loved in return.

Saint is still grumpy and sarcastic, but he has his angel to keep him in line.

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC of Saint in exchange for my honest review, and I’m thrilled to say that Charissa Gracyk continues to be an automatic-read author for me. While Saint may not be my favorite installment in the series, it is still a well-crafted and engaging story.

Taking on the challenge of exploring Saint's Bratva background, Charissa delivered a gripping and layered storyline. I was initially unsure how she would approach such a complex past, but she handled it with finesse, weaving a narrative that felt authentic and compelling.

One of the highlights for me was the pacing of the chemistry between the main characters. The relationship between the MMC and FMC wasn’t rushed, which made their connection feel genuine and deeply satisfying. It’s a testament to Charissa’s skill as a storyteller that she allows relationships to unfold naturally, drawing readers into every moment.

Though Saint didn’t quite surpass some of the other stories in the series for me, it’s still a solid read with memorable characters and moments. If you’re a fan of Charissa Gracyk’s work or enjoy stories with deep emotional arcs and a touch of danger, this book is worth picking up!

Me, sitting on my chair, totally immersed in Saint by Charissa Gracyk:

My fitbit: How are you feeling? I noticed a change in your heart rate.

Me: It's all Charissa Gracyk's fault!

I am absolutely enthralled with this story. This is Charissa leveling up, y'all! This is the story I have wanted since I first met Saint in Charissa’s Slater Security series, when he was a minor side character with a huge presence. This is the man giving Aidan (Reactivated: Aidan) a run for his money for top Charissa hero honors. Heck, for top book boyfriend honors, period.

And I truly adore the HEA Charissa gave him. Such an unexpected, but perfect, heroine. She’s a stealth spitfire with beautiful depth and a huge heart.

What I love about it:

Saint's one-liners

Fantastic banter

Fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat action

The backstory I've been craving.

Mia's assertiveness battling her vulnerability

Ch 14 (holy freaking hotness)

Epic cameos and crossovers

Connections and redemption, and kindred spirits reinventing lives of lies as lives in love.

Favorite quote: He felt like he just got run over by a truck and the license plate read “Good Girl.”

Wow! Every time I read a Charissa Grayck book, I think it’s the best one she’s written and it’s my new favorite. Once again, she exceeded my expectations and delivered an incredible story.

The character development is solid and sets the tone for Nik “Saint” and Mia’s story. I was hooked reading the prologue. This book is full of intrigue and danger, and the story moved quickly and took me along for the bumpy ride. Saint is a grumpy, sarcastic, tattooed, heavy smoker who speaks in one-word responses. Mia is a shy, innocent woman who is more confused by Nik than she is afraid of him. Gradually she breaks down his walls as they go on the run to stay ahead of the people who are after them.

Each book in the Force Protection Delta series tells the story of one member of this former elite team of assassins and the search for members of the Agency who is trying to eliminate the team. Each member of the team finds their HEA by the end of each book. I recommend you start reading the series from the beginning with Ryland, so you get the full story about the Agency and the members of Ex Nihilo. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!

I have to confess I am not a fan of stories about the Bratva, Russia and/or assassins. That said, when the story is written by this author, I make it a point of grabbing it and knowing, in this case, hoping, that it would be another winner.
Nik/Saint Valentine, has been a Bratva enforcer, he’s been in prison and nowadays, is an assassin. Let’s not forget his “bad boy” looks.
He and his current team, have been dealing with “THE AGENCY”. A group/society, that is determined to pulverize and end Saint and his team. Saint takes it upon himself to do something about it. That something is kidnap Mia Carlisle, the daughter of the billionaire that is helping and funding The Agency.
From that moment on, the danger intensifies, as do the chemistry between these two.
With an engaging plot filled with bad guys, good guys, danger and of course romance, the readers are taken on a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end.
A good addition to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

What can I say about Saint? That the action is non-stop? The chemistry is well past steamy and into lava territory? That I’m a sucker for a wounded hero… especially one that’s so magnetic and broken? Okay, all of the above!

I was intrigued by Saint from what I saw of him in the previous books in the series. (A series that is definitely not one to be missed, I should add.) But getting to delve deep into what makes him tick and why he’s so closed off and guarded was an experience of the best kind.

Then enter Mia. I loved that although she was innocent in some ways, she wasn’t a pushover. In fact, she held her own quite nicely with the big, brooding man who spirited her away to use as a bargaining chip. Unfortunately for Saint, he got more than he bargained for… someone who not only challenged him, but somehow managed to bring down his walls and step inside his heart.

Full of action, heat, and touching moments, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat and pluck at your heartstrings while rooting for Mia and Saint’s happily ever after.

We finally get all the information on Saint’s past! The team’s quintessential bad boy really does have a tortured past. Starting from when he was a baby he has been shown no love or affection, and has had to fight for his life.

Mia is the sheltered daughter of the team’s enemy. She is worldly in the way of the wealthy, but has never met a man like Saint. Saint follows her to a speed dating event, then kidnaps her!

I’m not going to give too many spoilers since this book is chock full of information about Saint’s background. And it really furthers the plot against the Agency. From California to Russia, this one will keep you on the edge of your seat. And there may be tears.

And the epilogue? Oh my, prepare to be hooked for the last book in this series!

Once again Charissa Gracyk has given us a fantastic read that will make you scream at the characters, laugh with them, and cry with them. Well done.

12/10 recommend!

So far in this book series, this book is my favorite. Saint has scars both internal and external. Everyone around him is coupling up and he's feeling some anxiety and concern about what's happening with the group.

Feeling restless, he decides to go out hunting. That's where he finds Mia. She's the daughter of a diabolical man who's from the agency. The kidnapping starts the fun portion of the book for me, especially with his team as they all groan over his impetuousness. Initially, shy Mia is a little afraid, and then .......Mia finds her feet. She is not going to take anybody's slack, or made to feel inferior. This shy woman comes into her own and continues to push Saints buttons.

I don't want to give too much away from this book, but the twists and turns and the constant energy and excitement will give you a book that you will totally enjoy reading. I love this author, thank you for such a thrilling ride.

Omg Saint and Mia were the best. I loved how they started out and even better how they ended up.

With Ex hilelio going after her father, Saint kidnaps Mia thinking she will be leverage against him.

I enjoyed how Saint tames his ways with his attachment to Mia. He believes himself unworthy from the life he has led but Mia isn't having it. She loves him faults and all.

The chemistry and dynamic between them is unusual full of friction, sarcasm and intensity but the attraction certainly overtakes them both. Fighting it on both sides does them no good.

This was full of romance but also non stop action and a thrill ride off a book none the less. I love the team spirit and that such a rough character can be vulnerable and have fears. But also be honest about them.

So well done, it was a brilliant book and an amazing series so far. Highly recommended!!

If you love that cover, you will love the book even more!! Trust me, Saint delivered on everything I could have wanted and more! An absolute must read, truly not to be missed!
I am starting to develop quite the addiction to romantic suspense and I think Charissa is to blame. I bow to your brilliance madam! Easily some of the most imaginative, immersive romantic suspense writing that I have come across. Within just a few chapters you are hooked, totally and completely, fully enmeshed in the plot and feeling like you are part of the action. It reads like a big screen movie, and I think that is part of why I am coming to love Charissa's writing so much.
Pulse pounding edge of your seat suspense, toe curling tension and truly scintillating spice - Saint is simply perfection!!! This is one dragon I am keeping!

Saint Gets His Valentine

Title: Saint
Author: Charissa Gracyk
Format: ebook
Genre: Romantic suspense, military, black ops, kidnapped, forced proximity, enemies to lovers
Standalone: Not really. This couple’s story has ended but the overarching story continues
Part of a Series: Force Protection Delta Book 5

5/5

Nik “Saint” Valentine is a mystery. Grump, gruff and getting antsy he decides to do some recon on his team’s adversary. Imagine his surprise when out walks Mia. Mia isn’t what he expected. Shy but feisty she challenges him at every opportunity. The back and forth is amazing and Mia is perfect for him.

Together they battle enemies present and past, internal and external.

When an author keeps upping her game -not only in her skills but also the depth of her characters and storylines you want to binge her backlist and keep her on your radar.
Action-packed, full of steam, banter and intrigue, the book continues the arc of the Agency and Ex Nihilo. The team is determined to take down the evil group known as the Agency (who tried to eliminate them) stop them from developing a deadly neurotoxin. Saint makes a dangerous solo move that could cost him more than his life. It could cost him the team and the woman he loves.

Saint is one of the BEST characters that Charissa Gracyk has written to date. A wounded alpha protector is my favorite main male character. The prologue steals your heart and never lets go. You feel the cold of the Russian orphanage and the cruelty of those meant to protect him. I shed tears for the little lost boy who grows up on the streets of St. Petersburg, abused more by the Bratva, the government and the prisons. Gracyk shows him as hardened and uncaring, but I saw the little boy who was never loved. It is though Mia and their unusual connection, that his walls come down to let in hope, joy and love. First, though, they have to survive a Russian snowstorm, assassins, the Bratva, capture and avoid being killed by the neurotoxin they are trying to stop.
Get your popcorn and read this thrilling romantic suspense!

Romantic Suspense Gold!
Wow, this series just keeps getting better! The characters stole the show in this one and hooked me right from the start. Saint is the best kind of hero—one of the ones who doesn’t think they deserve love and happiness. But Mia helps him see that he’s worthy. She hasn’t had the love she needed either and Saint fills her heart up. This couple might seem like an unlikely pair in the beginning but amidst all the intrigue & danger, they find themselves refusing to let anything tear them apart. Their bond is a healing one and reading their story leads you on a beautiful journey with a satisfying HEA.
