I know that fujimoto is cooking with this arc and it’s like meta with its themes and whatnot but I really just want denji to be happy like that’s my boy there
saw people calling the guy on this cover bisexual because apparently he called himself a switch. i fear that’s not what it means but honestly i have no idea what’s going on either (also i just think he looks very gay, bisexual where). all the jokes are so funny, i’m sure of it, but i don’t understand a single thing. i need to finally start this manga asap or i’ll explode
This volume showcases the return of Chainsaw Man after Denji gets attacked by Public Safety and Barem burning Nayuta and Denji’s apartment (with the dogs [and the cat, perhaps]).
We see Quanxi return in this volume and it’s soooo good to see her being the badass woman that she is!!!
Nayuta minds control a random person in the crowd to get Denji to safety.
Fumiko (dubbed as “Diarrhea Woman” by Nayuta) leaves the scene: her own safety is priority. She's a Public Safety Officer first, a Chainsaw Man fan second.
Fami (the Famine Devil) also tricked the Chainsaw Man church members (particularly the old man) into making a deal/contract with a fake Justice Devil. 😨 She manipulates almost everyone to ensure Chainsaw Man and War Devil are feared and revered even at the onset of the eldest sister: the Death Devil!!! 😳
Barem singing “Kumbaya” (The Lord’s Song) is scary as hell! 😱 He’s out of his mind singing that song while getting arrested. ☹️
Almost forgot to comment on this one: While Barem sings "Kumbaya", the scene transitions to Asa’s right arm being cut off by Yoshida's sword (with the help of his contract: the Octupus Devil and the usage of its tentacles). That's a doom and gloom moment right there! 😖 She was such a badass creating a sword from Room 606 of her apartment! 😆 That panel is gorgeous!!! She is strong and powerful even though War Devil takes over her body.

I've lost the thread here and am simply adrift in the midst of all these angry characters fighting each other for . . . reasons? Maybe if enough of them die in the current fight(s), we can focus more on the survivors? I'm not usually wishing for a high body count, but that's where I am now.
i love this series so much ♡ the shift in where the story went feels so different from where we started but i am loving it. denji’s character progression feels so natural and realistic as well. the one sad thing is being nearly caught up with everything, now i must wait for chapter updates 🤧
We have a resemblance of a main plot now thankfully, but between the hard to follow action scenes, unexplained character revivals, and weak protagonist motivations the series is really taking a toll on my interest.
one of the chapter titles is RETURN OF CHAINSAW MAN so you can probably guess where this volume heads...despite Denji wishing for a normal life e.g. Sex..Pizza and Pets.
3.5/5 i progressively find it harder to care about this series and keep up with all the different characters, but this volume was solidly okay, some big things happened so that helps 👍
The extensive carnage and ensuing death seems… purposeless. What’s all of this brutality even for? Is it just trauma porn? I don’t even care for any of the people suffering. Has me missin’ Aki like a motherfucker, though. Now, his was a story that meant something. :,(

I won't lie, I'm not a fan of the Cotrol Demon in any of their forms, Makima tainted it forever also, I'm shocked to see that we still haven't killed any members of the main cast, but I honestly don't love any of them enough to be excited about it ┐(´~`;)┌
