Almost quit halfway through. A little too “good ole boys” for my taste with excessive emphasis on the value of a good cigarette and getting drunk in the woods. Once the author established that he was a real outdoorsman things got a little better with some nostalgic Michigan woods and water stories. Cut the weird flexing and attempts to fit in with the outdoor classics and it’s a good Sunday read. It made me want to be outside so it gets the job done in the end.
