The Wolves of La Luna Noir #3

Married into the Mob

Rate this book
I went to City Hall to file paperwork, not steal a husband, and I refuse to let him go… even when he asks.

My life isn’t conducive to love. I’m the bad guy, the one people are warned about, the one that people talk about only in whispers, the one people fear. Nothing about me shouts mating material. That doesn’t stop me from taking what is mine when I scent my true mate marrying my enemy.

Odell came here to get married, and he will… to me. And until he agrees to do so, I’m keeping him at my secret hideaway. He’ll want for nothing—except freedom. I know that what I’m doing is wrong, but I convince myself it's to keep him safe.

Married into the Mob is the third book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir, a sweet with knotty heat MM Mpreg Shifter Mafia Romance. Married into the Mob features a sexy alpha who is part of his family business (yes, that kind), the human omega who is saved from an arranged married via kidnapping, an alpha struggling between what’s right and what his wolf demands, true love, fated mates, an adorable baby, and a guaranteed happy ever after. If you love your alphas hot, your men dangerous, and your omegas fierce, grab your copy today.

Hunter and Odell are so stinking cute it makes me want to gag sometimes. I love them and their dynamic.
The mystery in the story is a little here then not which is a bit of a let down. I do wish the author had spent more time and flushed that plot line out some more.
This is the third book in the series but the first one I've read. It was easy to follow without having read the other two stories. Plus Hunter's dad is freaking the best. Uncle Arnie too of course.

If you want a feel good book with a little bit of spice then you've found the right one.

Married into the Mob is the third book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. In my opinion this series is best read in order to get the most out of it. This is Hunter an alpha wolf shifter and Odell a human omegas story. I loved these two so much. I couldn't put this book down once I started it because I had to find out what happened next. This book kept me guessing until the end which I didn't expect. I loved the way Odell's panic attacks were handled because they showed the way they felt without bogging the story down. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Odell is a human omega who has a horrible uncle that loves to gamble who turns his life upside down when he got desperate sold him off to settle a gambling debt forcing him into a marriage with a ruthless dangerous alpha a man he hasn’t met, and he sees no way out all he sees is his life is gone because of his uncle’s gambling. Hunter a powerful crime boss, not a shifter you want on your radar, or you want to cross when he finds out his mate is being forced to marry to pay off a debt that isn’t happening, so he kidnaps him the day of the wedding he never wanted a mate but the moment he smells him he knows he is his fated and he is never giving him back to top that stealing him from his rival well that was just icing on the cake so to speak poor Odell is stuck between two dangerous, ruthless, powerful, and deadly men but he would prefer to stay with the one who kidnapped him but he also learns how badly betrayal hurt, but will Hunter be able to convince him what he feels is real that he is his fated mate willing to do anything, everything to keep safe, protected, the attraction he feels will he be able to ignore it, will they realize they are stronger together, and are the meant to find happiness?

‍‍Odell’s life is turned upside down when his desperate uncle sells him off to settle a gambling debt. Forced into a marriage with a dangerous mafia alpha, he sees no way out—until Hunter, a powerful shifter crime lord, crashes the wedding and claims Odell as his mate. Now caught between two dangerous men, Odell has no choice but to trust the one who kidnapped him. Hunter never wanted a mate, but the moment he scents Odell, he knows he can’t let him go. Stealing him from his rival, Draven, was just the beginning. Now, with a Draven's pack seeking revenge, a corrupt official pulling the strings, and Odell’s own past full of shocking betrayals, keeping him safe won’t be easy. But the real challenge? Convincing Odell that what started as a forced alliance could turn into something real. With danger at every turn, hidden enemies closing in, and a bond neither of them can ignore, Hunter and Odell must fight for a future together. Steamy, high-stakes, MM, mafia, fated mates, shifter romance. with mpreg, exploring love, danger, betrayal, family, and an unexpected bond that changes everything.

Married to the Mob is a paranormal omegaverse/m-preg romance by Colbie Dunbar. It is the third book of the The Wolves of La Luna Noir, and while it works as a standalone book, I think it made a bit more sense to me after I did a quick review of the first two books. Previous characters popped up, but mostly I just needed to get Hunter and his brothers, Flint and Ranger, sorted out in my head.

Hunter is the younger Durand brother, and the last to find his mate. Like many mates, he meets Odell under less than ideal circumstances. Odell is human and finds himself petrified and essentially being sold off, forced into a marriage by his uncle. While Hunter saves Odell, taking him to a panic room for his protection, Odell doesn't know who to trust and what in the hell is going on. But Hunter and his inner beast are ready to fiercely protect and claim their mate.

I really enjoyed Hunter and Odell's dynamic. Odell, understandably, has a lot of confusion between his personal situation and then meeting Hunter. However, Hunter is a total gentlemen and I found him a wonderfully swoon-worthy alpha.

A fun addition to the mafia shifter Wolves of La Luna Noir series with human Odell meeting his wolf shifter mate Hunter in an unusual way, then going through an apparent rite of passage that is standard for the mates of the three Durand brothers. Odell comes into his own, proving himself stronger than he thought, facing three marriages, a panic room, death threats, kidnapping, betrayal, forgiveness, a new found family, and a mafia lifestyle. There is a twist at the end, and a HFN for Hunter and Odell and their family as a new character makes an appearance in the final chapter, maybe as one of the characters to get a mate in the next book (if there is one) —time will tell. You have intrigue, a mystery that needs solving, vengeance for past wrongs, greed, and manipulation that involves all three brothers and the extended family to set things right. Interesting main and extended cast of characters set in the La Luna Noir shifter mafia universe in an engaging story with all three brothers front and center to protect each other and what is theirs.

Dellie, tofu & Brussels sprouts, wackadoodle things, TV dinner, Odellicious, old red beast, basket thingie, baby moon, Hair!

I did NOT see the ending coming AT ALL! It's a shocker and I was blown away! There were two main mysteries: 1) who's trying to kill Hunter and Odell, and 2) who tipped off Draven with their whereabouts. The intrigue lasted almost until the end. So, it keenly kept my interest. From the beginning and up to a certain point, the story seemed like the previous two books--mafia wolf shifters whose fated mates are human. Then the mysteries start at a slow burn. And I was hooked into the story.

I enjoyed the first two books, so I was excited to read this. It did not disappoint. This installment can be read as a standalone. But, reading the books in order will enhance your enjoyment of the series. You'll see how the other two brothers, Flint and Ranger, get together with their fated mates. Both books have different mysteries of their own. I rabidly read this book and immensely enjoyed it. I enthusiastically recommend this book!

I couldn’t put it down. I don’t know why, or anything really specific, but the action was so good and well paced, and Odell is such an endearing character from the first moment, and Hunter is such a loveable, somewhat disastrous character… I loved it. I enjoyed the detail explanations of panic attacks that did not bog down the story, but showed the reader how awful and real they are. I could see a family member with similar issues to Odell’s clearly and carefully portrayed. I think that’s one of the reasons why I fell in love with the book: how careful the author is in treating delicate issues, it delving too deep, it not brushing them aside either. The careful balance between too much and not enough was, in my opinion, perfect achieved throughout the story. The only problem is the change in pace after chapter 26. I thought it was an epilogue, but appreciated seeing their lives afterwards for a while, the problems being solved, and loose ends being tied at a leisurely pace.

Hunter and Odell’s Story . . .

Human omega Odell finds himself in a scary situation when his uncle pays off a gambling debt by offering him to mafia alpha Draven, whose cruel possessive look caused fearful shivers up and down his spine. Mafia wolf shifter Hunter happens to be in city hall to take care of paperwork when he saw Draven painfully squeezing the hand of a human who is actually Hunter’s fated mate. Fortunately, Hunter knows he must kidnap his mate to save him from Draven’s cruelty. Until Odell falls in love and agrees to be Hunter’s mate, he is held captive. But there are other circumstances surrounding them, and they are hunted relentlessly. Will the two of them have the chance to fall in love? Or will Draven constantly threaten Hunter’s pack to take back his prize and reach his secret goals? The action-packed reaction will keep the reader on the edge of the seat to see what’s going to happen in this exciting story with a surprise twist for the reader. You won’t want to miss this one!

This is the third book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. I had not read the earlier two books and I was able to enjoy this book without a problem. This is the story of Hunter and Odell. Hunter is an alpha wolf shifter. These stories are about him and his brothers all finding their fated mate. Odell is a human omega who is not familiar with the shifter world. The two meet at city while Odell is being forced to marry another wolf shifter. As soon as Hunter scents Odell he knows that Odell is his fated mate. He saves him from the ceremony by kidnapping him and taking the poor claustrophobic Odell to his safe room vault deep under ground. This is their story. The book is very well written and easy to read. I enjoyed watching the trust and their relationship slowly grow. And of course the mystery and the twist at the end was perfection. It was a pleasure to read. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I love the La Luna Noir books. My old friends are here, welcoming me back with open arms. Colbie has done it again. She makes the characters come alive. The scenes are so vivid they are easy to visualize. This is Hunter and Odell's story. Yes, they are fated mates. Yes, Odell gets kidnapped. Twice. Leave it to Colbie to come up with the safest place to put Odell...an underground panic room...when Odell is claustrophobic! Never fear, our intrepid heroes will figure out who is trying to kill Odell and start a war. It isn't who you think. Twists and turns abound. Ooh, and I had to laugh at an Alpha trying to drive a stick shift. And did I mention the wedding to end all weddings? I guarantee you will love this book. Mafia fan or not, this book will pull you in and keep you in its grip till the last pages. There is only one right move. Grab this book. Now!.

Married into the Mob delivers a thrilling mix of fated mates, danger, and undeniable passion. Hunter is the kind of alpha who takes what’s his, and when he scents Odell on the verge of marrying the wrong man, all bets are off. The chemistry between them is intense from the start, and their push-and-pull dynamic keeps the tension high.

What makes this story stand out is the balance between the dark, dangerous world of the La Luna Noir pack and the tender romance that unfolds between Hunter and Odell. Despite the unconventional start to their relationship, the emotional depth and eventual trust-building make their love story compelling. The inclusion of the fated mate trope, a protective alpha, and a sweet yet strong omega creates the perfect mix of action, steam, and heart.

If you love shifter romances with a mafia twist, protective alphas, and a guaranteed HEA, this book is a must-read!.

“I would breathe life into you if you stopped breathing.”

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and this one was no exception. The story was fast-paced from the start with action, tension, and danger. I loved both Hunter and Odell. Hunter was tough, if a little reckless. But when it came to his mate he was as sweet as he was protective. Even singing a nursery rhyme to Odell to calm his claustrophobia was both cute and made me laugh (and made Odell laugh), and talking him through his fear was sweet.

Odell was working so hard to help his aunt and uncle after his uncle's accident. But his uncle lost a bet, and Odell became the payment. First he was being forced to marry a man against his will, then kidnapped by another. In spite of his fear, he could still be snarky, which I liked. I enjoyed the way their relationship developed and liked the dynamic between them. 4 stars.

"So much had happened, and I wanted to add a full stop and start a new paragraph, but it was as though I was living in a long, run-on sentence."

This is book 3 in the series, The Wolves of La Luna Noir by Colbie Dunbar. I've really been loving this series, when I saw it on Booksprout I knew I had to have it.

I know I've said this before but this is not your normal Mafia style romance. This story also contains a twist, which I didn't see coming. I enjoy when a book can surprise me. Is unputdownable a word? If it isn't it should be because I was hooked and I couldn't put it down. I giggle snorted a couple of times at the wackadoodle things that went on.

Old enemies are out to right perceived wrongs, panic in the panic room, this couple is the cutest so far

Who's going to get a book next, Maddox or Treyton?

I loved this story. This was the first book in the series that I have read and I’m definitely going back and reading the two previous stories. This story was very engaging and I couldn’t put it down. Odell was great. He is just doing his best to make it day to day. One day Odell is told he’ll have to marry someone to help their family. He definitely doesn’t want to. Hunter happens to be at the court house while Odell is trying to get out of the marriage. Hunter realizes he’s his fated mate and kidnaps Odell to save him. The rest of the story we get to watch them learn about each other, grow, fall in love, and find their HEA while trying to stay alive and figure out what’s happening. Their journey is so fun. Hunter just wants to love his mate and support him. While Odell is strong through his panic and every situation he finds himself in. I’m exited for the next story!

4.5 stars!!

This is book three of the author’s Wolves of La Luna Noir series and features Hunter, the youngest of three sons and the one in charge of running the La Luna Noir club.

This was a bit of a departure from the other books I’ve read by this author but I enjoyed it, I think, even more because it WAS a little different. The author teased us with so much information early on that I wasn’t sure what to make of it and waffled back and forth several times between who I thought the perpetrator was. And the plot twist at the end, it was priceless!! I never would’ve saw that coming!

Read Hunter and Odell’s story, I hope you’ll like it as much as I did. It had the usual steam interspersed with lots of suspense and humor. A great read, 4.5 stars!!.

Married into the Mob is the third book in Colbie Dunbar's The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. Books one and two certainly were fun. But this book tickled my fancy from page one. Dunbar turns the arranged marriage trope onto its head. Odell is a human omega, marrying an alpha he's never met to honor a debt. Hunter Durand scents that Odell is his mate. And rescues him. By kidnapping him.
Good, dirty, confusing fun. There's definite sizzle between Hunter and Odell. There's danger. And adventure. Balances the spice so very well. Of course Papa Durand and Uncle Arnie contribute their mayhem to the situation.
This book could be read as a standalone. But the full family dynamic makes it so much more enjoyable.

Hunter the youngest brother of the alpha of the La Luna Noir mafia, had to go to the courthouse to sign some paperwork. When he was leaving he smelled his mate about ready to marry Draven a member of a rival mafia so Hunter grabbed him and ran to the panic room he had built under the club he ran. Odell was told that he had to marry Draven because his uncle owed that man a lot of money. To keep everyone safe they all ended in Hunter’s room, they thought they were hiding from Draven but he disappeared. Odell went to talk to Stefan the man behind it all after Hunter was banished but Hunter took him down then found out how Stefan knew Odell was Hunter’s mate. And they learned that it wasn’t Odell’s uncle because it surprised Odell when he found out who sold him out and why, surprised me too!.

Hunter and Odell story was interesting with a sprinkle of betrayal, manipulation, hidden proposes, and several lies.
They were an interesting combination. Their first meeting was influenced by the ones with hidden agendas, so their start was a bumpy one.
Was interesting how the real enemies were hidden in plain sight and what their real desires were.
I liked how those two get closer together as their bond strengthen, how slowly they unravel all the twisted threads to get to the truth, and how the enemies got their punishment.
I liked the teasing and humour, as well as the protective instinct and self-preservation
I adored the naming and birthing scenes, as well as the shenanigans the little ones engage on.
It was amazing, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Shifters and Mafia!

Take two of my favourite genres and mix them together! The betrayal, The suspense and a definet HEA even though it takes a moment to get there!
I am new reader to Colbie, what peaked my interest was o recently decided I like to read out of my general and have never read a mm romance befor! I was also intrigued on how a mpregnancy can happen!, the love Hunter had for Odell from the moment he steals him away from the (bad guy). But anyway! I was impressed with the story and will go back and read more from this series! I also look forward to reading the next book in the series!

This series The Wolves of La Luna Noir has been sensational. This was absolutely awesome reading this book I couldn't get enough, this story was full of action, suspense, danger, twist and turns, death threats, kidnapping, betrayal, forgiveness, mafia, intrigue, mystery, vengeance, greed, manipulation, forced marriage and so much more emotions throughout. Hunter Durand went to the court house to drop something off and this is when he found his mate Odell getting forced to marry, now they have been told that they had to leave everyone and not to have family help now Draven is trying to get Odell back to make Hunter pay.

This story was super sweet. But it was also very hilarious. There were points where I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard. Hunter had to go into City Hall to sign some paperwork to get a permit for some building work that he had secretly had done. On his way out he noticed a smell and went to investigate and that's when he found his mate about to be forced to marry someone else. Odell was being forced to marry somebody that he didn't even know after his uncle got into a gambling debt. From there he was kidnapped, held in a panic room, in a car chase and vomited at a wedding. I would totally recommend this book.

What a great story. Hunter is a wolf shifter and helps run the family nightclub, he has to go to City Hall to sign some documents to allow a panic room to be built at the club that has already been built. Odell has been forced by his uncle and aunt to marry another shifter even though he doesn't know about the shifter world. Hunter follows some people into the marriage area as he was curious about the ceremony when he scents his mate. Their HEA is entertaining, dangerous and has funny car chases in a manual car. This is a definite must read.

This was a quick funny, delightful read in the La Luna Noir series. Hunter finds his mate of all places at the Courthouse!! As Odell is about to be forced to marry Draven, Hunter intercede and "kidnaps" Odell and the fun begins...between car chases, gun shots, going underground, Draven having the backing of super natural council believing his mate has been taken...poor Odell is really thrust into a life he knows nothing about. With edge if your seat action, family shenanigans and drama, witty banter, entertaining dialogue this will keep you captivated till the ending.

Hunter, is a pip! Hunter, is the arrogant, spoiled indulged impetuous, short on patience, leap before his brain catches up younger Durand brother. He is more of an expediter than a rule follower. So, when he sees Odell, an omega reluctant to marry the man forcing him, the ~ family's sworn enemy, Draven, Hunter impulsively acts justifying his actions that he is keeping his mate safe. Odelle, becomes an unwilling guest of Hunter. Their relationship path is rocky and provides challenges. The conversation si hilarious and their growth entertaining. Nicely done, riveting! Taken for marriage Odell is rescued by Hunter before the vows are exchanged. Hunter says he is keeping Odell safe but the truth is Odell is his mate and he can't stay away. He keeps Odell safe from outside forces that are trying to drive them apart. However all it seems to do is push them together. Hunter loves Odell and soon he knows Odell will feel the same. These two fight against enemies and betrayal all at the same time. Great addition to the series!.

Hunter claims he's keeping Odell safe, but the truth is Odell is his mate, and Hunter can't resist being close to him. Hunter protects Odell from external forces that try to tear them apart, but instead of driving them apart, it only brings them closer. Hunter is confident that Odell will eventually feel the same love he does. Together, they face enemies and betrayal, making this a thrilling and emotional addition to the series. The book is sweet, romantic, funny, action-packed and once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

Book 3 and baby brother Hunter has found his mate. You would have thought that fate had circumstance played a role in Hunter finding Odell and snatching him away from the "evil". Wellllll...the whole story was so unpredictable, I was on the edge until the end. Not really an instalove but an attraction was there that build into a passionate love between the two. Very entertaining and a super sweet HEA. I would love to read more in the series.

This was beyond adorable.

I loved how tough and sure Odell was even with his panic attacks. He knew what he wanted and he went for it.

Hunter is the typical younger sibling but learns that sometimes he has to stand up and teach his older siblings some lessons.

Uncle Arnie and Rudy are always an amazing team to have together.

I really hope we get more stories from La Luna Noir.

Well, this was as exciting as it was romantic. Definitely my favorite of the series as I could not put it down. Odell our human omega has panic attacks and ends up in dangerous situations with his Alpha Wolf Hunter that definitely provokes them. I adored that he was so strong and determined. It was wonderful to watch Odell and Hunter connect on so many levels. It was a suspenseful read with a twist of an ending!
