Outdated as the movement has continued to grow as seen by the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers part in the Jan 6th insurrection. The book start with early days of the movement but concentrate on the 1990s with Ruby Ridge, Waco and the bombing of the Oklahoma federal building. It tries to present the material in as even-handed a manner as possible, acknowledging that most militia members have not participated in the violence of terrorist activities. It does connect the fundamental Christians, white supremacists, militia members and neo-Nazis through series of interlocking and overlapping organizations. Participants in one organization do not necessarily share the prejudices, mantras or plans of others, but the organizations do feed off of and support each other.
The book in its self was great but when it started talking about that the klans are bad not at all good. The book never really talked about what the klans stand for not what they did.
