A snarky fae, a sexy king, and forbidden desire deep as the sea.
Once, I was a fae princess with sea-magic at my fingertips. Now? I’m a hunted supernatural in a squalid shop, stripped of my power. My only comforts are stale cookies, Elvis records, and my hula-hoop. Until a lethally sexy fae king arrives and rips even those away.
After the brutal king throws me in prison, I strike a bargain with my freedom in exchange for helping him find a magic blade. What Lyr doesn’t know is that the blade might restore my stolen magic. But as we journey, the gorgeous jerk is starting to make me feel things I’ve never felt. When Lyr touches me, desire ignites.
I see raging passion in his eyes, too. If I give in, I risk losing my chance at reclaiming my power. Even worse... I could be forfeiting my life.

The Dark King, I liked this sea witch Aenor, when she helped in the last series so I was quite perturbed to find her being attacked by the Shadow Fae. She’s adopted a human teen and needs to protect her but is forced to go on a quest after being falsely accused of destruction of her home, by Lyr, I have mixed feelings on him as he appears to be pissed at her from their 1st meeting but softens as she proves her claim that she did not destroy her home that he ended up ruling. They are attracted to each other and begin a budding “situationship”.
Then in the second book Fallen King, it starts off with distance between the couple and quickly digresses to a run to the very clingy (tracking her with fruit and birds) cause he needs her to do his bidding, evil, killing and mean, Salem. Lyr, tried to ruthlessly make sure she couldn’t get her magic back following info he gets from Beira, a witch’s prophecy, humph 😤. So now she is frenemies with Lucifer who is yo-yoing back and forth from killing her, hurting her or protecting her as well as lusting for Aenor. Magic and another quest has Aenor confused by the visions she is having and fear that the world will burn 🔥 if she makes the wrong move when she wields her brand of sea magic. I think Aenor and Salem are still a new “situation-ship” because she was just told by the water nymph that they are mates and after Salem realizes it with angst because he has another destiny. Lyr doesn’t seem to want to beg her back and reluctantly is okay with her power situation.
Rising Queen the 3rd book finds Aenor trying to free Salem who “saved” the world from burning. Not used to a love story where they are bent on saving each other because they can’t be together. So many women who lust after a man who can’t love.
