"This is a must-read for anyone in their Daddy era! Have fun and bring a fan because this one is hot from page one to the end."
After finding out the baby his fiancée is carrying is not biologically his, Theo Reeves leaves town and vows to never come back. That is until, 22 years later he returns to handle his late mother’s estate. The hatred of being back in his hometown drives him to a dive bar just outside city limits.
A night he planned on spending alone and drinking away the memories, is interrupted by a blonde half his age he can't help but be drawn to. Something about her green eyes and the way she despises this town nearly as much as he does, has him wanting to make some reckless decisions.
Aria Mason was never given the chance to be seen as anything other than “the affair baby”. Having spent the last 21 years getting side-eyed and excluded, the attention from an attractive stranger was a breath of fresh air.
That air was ripped from her lungs the second she found out this mysterious tattooed stranger, she let ravage her in the dingy bar bathroom, was actually her mom’s ex-fiancee, and was the man she was supposed to grow up calling Daddy.
someone slap me silly because i completely fell for this man … he’s literally the mother’s ex-fiancé … RAWWWWW
this is a short and spicy novella, forbidden romance, mom’s ex-fiancé, age gap, daddy kink, duo pov, book one in duet 💜
theo has had a life full of lies and deceit. he never thought the woman he put his trust and love into would one day try to baby trap him with a child that isn’t even his. he never thought this same woman would come between him and his best friend. but theo left that small town full of nothing but gossip and made a new life for himself. now that he’s back to settle some legal work with his mother’s lawyers, he meets an untamed bombshell that he just can’t get out of his head. aria is someone who had to live her whole life under the rumors and gossip about her mother. she was what they called a “bastards daughter”. meeting theo, she never thought that he would completely flip her life the right side up. she always knew people would eventually leave. so if enjoying the perks of being with him now would allow her some time away from her mother, she’s going to take whatever she can get. but when theo’s occupation starts creeping in, there’s very little that can be done to keep secrets from aria 👀
ugh i love these two so bad 😩 the moment they met at that bar and had slutty bar bathroom sex i just KNEW they are going to be such a powerhouse couple 🥰
i’m so excited to get to know more about what theo’s job actually is and how aria will react !! immediately running to the next book to arc read because … i’m actually going insane if i don’t start it RIGHT NOW !!
This book was exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump. Who knew pizza could be so hot?! Seriously this book had all of my favorites, taboo romance plus an age gap with a daddy kink. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Side Note: This story seems to be a follow-up of some sort to the En Prise Duet (Light It Up and Burn it Down). So the duet should be read first. I say that because the Duet was written about the boss of this book's MMC.
Call Him Daddy was about 44-year-old Theo Reeves (no job title given but definitely hinted at something not quite above board), and 22-year-old Aria Mason, a recent college graduate (once again, no job title and no hint at what her degree was in).
The way this book ended felt like it was a bit of a cliffhanger, but there were no sequels written (yet?) by the author, so who knows, right?
This was a very messed-up story that began with Theo and his (ex) fiancee celebrating with friends and family at the gender reveal party for "their" child. However, one of Theo's friends questioned him about the unborn baby's actual paternity. They argued, the friend left, and Theo, after stepping away to clear his head, learned the hard way that he was, in fact, not the father of his (now ex) fiancee's baby. He broke off his engagement, left town, and never looked back...until his mother's death caused him to return to settle her estate.
The book then flashed forward 22 years to the scene where Theo was in the bathroom of a local club having a spicy moment with a much younger woman. Afterward, he was outside the club when he ran into his former fiancee...who turned out to be Aria's mother. When he realized Aria was the baby Alana tried to pass off as his, he told her to lose his number and left. However, she was persistent in messaging him, taunting him that if he wasn't willing to meet her needs, she was more than happy to find someone else. She even sent him a video of her and some strange guy dancing at the same club from the previous night. That got him to go to her, only to find her with two men...and very heavily roofied.
The following morning, Theo told Aria about his past relationship with her mother, and, in turn, she informed him that the man he thought was her real dad (one of his former BFFs) was, in fact, not her father either. So, the woman had been cheating on him with at least two other guys.
I struggled with the plot of this book. Both the MMC and the FMC were players. That wasn't the part that bothered me though. Instead, it was the fact that the MMC was hooking up with a woman who was, apparently, following in her mother's habit of being with multiple guys. While she professed to have no love for her mother, Theo was about to step into the same kind of relationship he had experienced 22 years earlier. Because of that, the spicy scenes weren't so spicy...at least for me...because all I could think about was, Dude, you're falling for exactly the same kind of woman you got screwed over royally by 22 years ago! Seriously. Aria had s*x with him one night and, because he ghosted her, she had no problem hooking up with multiple guys the following night...and went so far as to taunt him with it. I don't know what it was about that messed up scenario, but it caused every bit of spiciness to have more of an ick factor than enjoyable.
I couldn't honestly say that either of the main characters was well-developed. They both had an ego that bordered on arrogance, and they were both wh*re-hounds. With the book's length being so short (just 13 chapters), there wasn't time for either of them to grow or mature.
Regarding the occupation of the MMC, there was a brief mention of "The Court" in the story, and at the end of the book, the author asked if the reader was curious about "The Court" to read the En Prise Duet. Other than that, the whole story was a bit shady and underwhelming. It was as if the author wanted to write a book about the mafia or the "underground world"...but she failed quite miserably with this story.
I only gave the story a one-star rating, but it didn't really earn that. There was so much untapped potential that could have made this a great story. Sadly, that did not happen.
•Billionaire Romance •Age Gap •EX- Fiancés Daughter •Daddy Smink •🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Ohhh, this was so GOOD! I'm so glad I waited to read this because that cliffy. WHAT do you mean it ended there?! Daddy Theo is absolutely everything. That MOUTH. YES, PLEASE. And Aria? She's all for it. I love and hate that it was such a quick read. I'll definitely recommend forevermore!
The way I loved this novella. It was small but fantastic and smutty. Aria had been through a rough childhood with a mother who was bad to her, blaming her for her own transgressions. Theo had moved on and became so much bigger than the smalltown life he lived in. These two meet and sparks fly everywhere. Theo tried to deny their pull but couldn't so he gave in. Seeing them together was H-O-T and I was here for it. I wouldn't mind seeing more of them
Theo is back in town for less than 24 hours and ends up hooking up with the girl that his ex-fiance tried to pass off as his daughter! Talk about messyyy! Definitely a very short read and I’m wondering if there’s going to be a second book to figure out what the “problem” is or what kind of business Theo is in that could potentially harm Aria
This novella flat out says if you’re looking for a plot don’t read this. That cracked me up. I love a good smut book/novella. This book however actually had a bit of a plot. When I explained it to my bestie she asked why I was reading a book with no plot…I told her there was a plot, albeit a small one and at that point I was emotionally invested in the characters and wanted to know what was going to happen. While the plot is small, Katie does a great job of making me fall in love with the characters and the fact that there’s something between them even in less than 80 pages. This is a must read for anyone in there Daddy era! Have fun and bring a fan because this one is hot from page one to the end!
Looking for an all smut tab00 read? Then this is the book for you! This was a very quick and spicy listen.
Aria did not have the easiest life growing up with her mother. Theo who was cheated on by his fiancé moved on from the small town life and became more powerful than expected.
He has to return home to get his mother’s affairs in order and what should have been a steamy one night stand, may turn into more.
This book was full of spicy and sexy scenes. I mean, who knew eating pizza could be so dang sexy.
Molly and Ryan NAILED the voices and really made the scenes extra steamy! Both brought the characters to life and had me begging for more
Call Him Daddy was the EXACT type of novella I have been looking for! HIGH spice, easy to read, potential for a growing plot and series (which, please 🙏🏼 tell me we're getting a series?!), and it was FUN.
Honestly this novella is perfect for anyone looking for a good time, likes age gap billionaire romances with a lot of spice and FMC's with spunk and attitude! 💛 I'll definitely want to read any continuation of this novella!
Also... I've always loved pizza, but now I may have a pizza kink? 👀 I'm so here for it. IYKYK.
This had so much potential as a quick spicy read, it started off great the 1st 40% had me potentially rating it a 4* but then the smut scenes hit and in my opinion made me cringe so much they had the complete opposite effect as to what they should, they definitely could have been executed a lot better than what they were. I ended up skim reading the last 30% just to get through to the end. Overall good potential but poorly executed.

The idea was there, the execution was not. But it was also an 80pg novella so I wasn't expecting a masterpiece here. I came for the drama and a spicy fun time.
What drew me to this was the premise. Theo the MMC thought he was having a baby girl with this woman when he was 21, and come to find out the woman was cheating on him and the baby wasn't actually his. So before the baby is even born, Theo splits town and never looks back. Cut to nearly 22 years later and he's drawn back into town to deal with his mother's estate, and while he's there he just so happens to have a spicy moment with this younger woman in a bar bathroom. Well come to find out this young woman just so happens to be the baby he thought was going to be his all those years ago and well... leave the rest to your dramatic imagination lol.
Honestly your imagination is probably better then how all this played out anyways 😅. Left much to be desired, and I really wish this was far more dramatic. All the elements were there, it just fell super flat.
𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲...
𝗢𝗻𝗲: I'm sorry but grease from a slice of pizza sliding down someone's face, is in fact not hot to me 🫣
𝗧𝘄𝗼: Grinding your lady bits on a guys shoe that he's been tromping around town in... feels HIGHLY UNSANITARY 🤢
And those were supposed be the saucy scenes that made me all hot and bothered about this couple?? 😒 Idk about it.
Overall, could have been better, I guess it could have been worse. I probably wouldn't read more from this author if this is the type of writing I'd have to look forward to though.
I had the chance to read this book, and it was my first time reading anything by Katie A. Perez. All I knew beforehand was that it involved an ex-fiancé's daughter and that there was a lot of smut. I usually don’t like novellas because they tend to focus on instalove, which I don’t really get. In this case, it was more like "instalust," and the characters just felt good together. Theo, the main male character, wants to protect her and give her a better life.
I ended up reading the whole book in one sitting. There’s barely any plot, and it’s full of smut, but it flows really well, and I thought it was a good read! I’m also intrigued by the ending... Will there be a sequel?

The dedication had me all giddy
Dedication If you wanted a book with plot- stop here. If you came for smutty, age gap novella- Daddy Theo is ready for you, So be a good girl and turn the page.
You bet I turned those pages… short story full of the sexy, smutty, spicy stuff. Theo and Aria’s chemistry is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I feel sorry for Aria she hasn’t had it easy, she’s a little rebellion, which I’m not surprised at, at all after her upbringing. Then she meets Theo and he is determined to give her better than what she has ever known
Go check this out. Nice short, spicy Novella

A quick read Novella, filled to the brim with spice, and barely any plot! Theo and Aria have pure chemistry and a hate for the town they come from.
Tropes: - Age Gap - Daddy k!nk - Brat - Billionaire - Ex's daughter
Meh. It was okay. Wasn’t great. Wasn’t terrible. I know it hasn’t been professionally edited yet and had been sent to the editor, but I personally would’ve waited until after those edits were done before sending out arcs. Just my opinion.
The writing was okay but it wasn’t spectacular and everything just seemed too rushed and not really interesting. Again, I know it’s a novella but I’ve read plenty of novellas where it was paced right and I felt connected to the characters. The writing was kinda weird and cringy too.
Call him daddy - Katie A Perez Book rating - 3⭐️/5 Smut rating - 5🌶️/5
Book review This book is was a super short novella, with a lot of spice & the use of daddy! This book is about Theo a 44 year old billionaire & 22 year old Aria. They first meet in a bar & it gets spicy in the bathroom, it then turns out Theo knows Arias mother…. Arias mum is Theos ex fiancé. The book just ended suddenly & I don’t know if there is another book!
NO Plot , ALL the smut !!! If you're looking for a quick, very spicy read, this is it !! There's not much to be said but so much to be enjoyed. Theo and Aria are definitely not here for the slow burn type of romance, and I am here for that! This book was fast, sassy, and spicy 🥵 That's it's 10/10. Go read it!!

Honestly I loved this 😂 the fact it straight up stated it’s all spice minimum plot had me laughing. As a novella it was perfect, I just didn’t want it to end! I was lucky to get the advanced readers copy and devoured it on just over an hour. It had me shrieking, laughing and feet kicking 😂
