Two strangers who have lost loved ones meet in an airport cocktail lounge on a foggy afternoon while waiting out their weather-delayed flights. Seated together on their rescheduled flight to Atlanta, the new friends choose to have dinner together before flying their separate ways in the morning. The impromptu evening takes a frightening turn when Kathy and Scott witness brutal drug-related murders at the restaurant.
They clearly saw the murderer and Kathy sensed he recognized her. When a warning from the murderer was received, it terrified them and forced a life-altering decision.
An Aztec Pendant that Kathy was wearing the night of the murder proves to play a pivotal role in the fight for their lives. Join Kathy and Scott, two strangersdependent on each other for survival, on an unforgettable odyssey of much more than they ever expected.
I enjoyed the Aztec Pendant for several reasons. First of all, one of the authors, Judy Benkowski, was one of my parents favorite people. Since their passing, I have kept in touch with Judy and was amazed to find out that she is now co-authoring books! I saw much of Judy in the character, Kathy, and enjoyed the her adventures with Scott. Personally, I enjoyed reading how their relationship was developing, but also liked seeing them get involved in situations that they probably never thought they would encounter. I liked that the "plot" of the cartel etc. was an important part of the book, but did not overwhelm me with details. Thank you, Judy! I will be reading more of your books and already have them downloaded on my Kindle. I will also share the titles with my many reading friends...
