After his first Broadway show flops, chorus boy Ewen gets blackout drunk at the closing night party and wakes up in another world. Anthem is a cutthroat realm of sword and sorcery which inexplicably operates according to the rules of a role-playing game. Unfortunately for Ewen, he never played those kinds of games, and has no idea what a “character sheet” is or why he should care about it.
On Anthem, Ewen is one of a legendary, long-extinct class of adventurers called Descended. He’s also a bit self-centered and completely unsuited to the heroic role this strange world has cast him in. This acting/singing/dancing triple threat just wants to find his way home before his agent drops him and his musical theater career flatlines, but the mysterious deity who runs the world has other plans. adorable mashup of theater and D&D
