As you would expect with a choose-your-own-adventure style book, it's a very quick read. I read through several different scenarios, and honestly they were all cliche. The humor was lame and the characters were flat. Overall it was just ridiculous.

Deine beste Freundin heiratet und will dich natürlich als Brautjungfer dabeihaben. Es ist alles geplant, selbst dein Kleid steht bereits. Nun ist die Frage: Gehst du allein zur Hochzeit oder kommst du in Begleitung?
So in etwa beginnt dieses Rollenspielbuch, das als Nachfolger zu 'A Girl Walks into a Bar / Kommt eine Frau in eine Bar...' fungiert. Wieder einmal sind die drei Autorinnen Sarah Lotz, Helen Moffett und Paige Nick zusammengekommen um ein Buch zu schreiben, im dem der Leser selbst entscheiden kann wie es weiter gehen soll.
Dieses Mal liegt das Hauptaugenmerk auf der Hochzeit der Freundin, somit dreht sich alles um die Hochzeit, die Gäste und den Rest.
Auf der Bildfläche erscheinen insgesamt 5 Männer und mit jedem davon kann man etwas anfangen. Man muss sich nur dafür entscheiden.
Während im ersten Buch 'A Girl Walks into a Bar / Kommt eine Frau in eine Bar...' die Abschnitte größer waren und die Auswahl an Kandidaten kleiner, hat es mir wesentlich besser gefallen. Man konnte verschiedene Abenteuer bestreiten und jedes hatte so seine Vorzüge.
In 'A Girl Walks into a Wedding / Kommt eine Frau zur Hochzeit...' ist alles etwas verworrener. Die Abschnitte sind sehr klein, man muss häufiger eine Abzweigung nehmen und schon bald gingen mir die Wiederholungen auf die Nerven.
Die einzelnen Teile sind leider nicht so fein aufeinander abgestimmt, das man quer springen könnte.
So steht man beispielsweise erst einem halbnackten Typen gegenüber und darf sich die Beschreibung durchlesen und während man dann in eine andere Richtung gehen muss, weil es hier eine Sackgasse gibt, bekommt man den gleichen Typen noch einmal vorgestellt, als hätte man ihn nie gesehen. Das gefiel mir leider gar nicht.
Auch gibt es Fehler - so geht man beispielsweise in einem Durchgangsbad in die Badewanne, die nächste mögliche Szene bringt jemand neues ins Bad und plötzlich steht man unter der Dusche. Hier hätte dringend jemand auf Probe lesen müssen. Da wäre das sicherlich aufgefallen.
Ganz schwierig wird es auf Seite 89. Hier endet man in einer Endlosschleife aus der man nicht mehr rauskommt.
Die erotischen Szenen sind alle ziemlich gleich. Da ist keine Abwechslung dabei - hat man eine gelesen, kennt man sie alle. Gut, eine ist dann doch ein wenig anders, aber das liegt in der Natur der Sache.
Es gibt in diesem Buch viele Enden. Immer mal wieder landet man in einer Situation aus der es nicht weiter geht. Da ist es dann zu Ende. Allerdings fehlt hierbei komplett die eigentliche Hochzeit.

Şu ana kadar "kendi kaderini seç" kitaplarından iki tane okudum ve bir tane de yarım bıraktım. Bu okuduğum üçüncü kitap. Aralarından en beğendiğim de bu oldu.
Okurken gerçekten çok eğlendim. Gerçek hayatımda asla yapmayacağım şeyler ya da asla yaşamayacağım olaylardan oluşan bir kitaptı ki bence "kendi kaderini seç" kitapları da böyle olmalı. Hayat zaten başlı başına bir "kendi kaderini seç" kitabı zaten, eğer kitap da gerçek hayatımla paralel gitseydi okumanın bir anlamı kalmazdı.
Kitap en yakın arkadaşınızın düğünü için nedime elbisesi provasına gitmenizle başlıyor ve o andan itibaren değişik kararlar vererek düğünün olduğu hafta sonunu nasıl geçireceğinizi seçiyorsunuz.
Ben iki farklı son okudum. Birinci sonda damadın babası olduğunu bilmediğim Jack ile Fransa'ya akşam yemeği için uçtum, diğer sonda ise düğünü krize çevirecek bir olay çıkararak Peder Declan ile bilinmezliğe doğru bir yolculuğa çıktım.
İlk son 3 bölüm okuduktan sonra gerçekleşti bu nedenle, 2. bölümümde verdiğim kararı değiştirerek Declan ile olan sona kadar okudum. Ve gerçekten son derece utanç verici şeylere şahit olmuş ve şeyler yapmış olsam da bu sonu çok sevdim. Declan ile nasıl bir hayatımız olabileceği hakkında bir şeyler de okuyabilmek isterdim.

A chose-your-own adventure, written in 2nd-person. Chic-lit, but don't read it for plot. It's for immersing yourself in a fantasy with no consequences, complete with zany situations. A fast read. Oh, it's a dirty chose-your-own adventure! Which guy will you end up with?

I read this after A Girl Walks Into a Bar: Your Fantasy, Your Rules and I enjoyed it even more. While these books probably sit under erotica, the choose-your-own-adventure element makes them like fun puzzles. And with the wedding setting in this book, it brings together all our best loved romantic comedy tropes and jokes.
I think I enjoyed this one even more than the BAR book because it was like being in a funny, frothy romcom starring Julia Roberts/Meg Ryan/other 90s staples except with more sex.

This book is written in the same style as those Choose Your Own Adventure books I adored when I was a kid. A GIRL WALKS INTO A WEDDING gives me the power to choose a completely different kind of adventure as an adult, though....
I really liked this concept. It works so well for a happy-right-now erotica romance story. The fact that I could go back and choose a different ending every time had me even more intrigued when I finished a path - what would happen if I chose a different one? Who would I end up with? It was so fun to see the different ways to go in this book!
I loved seeing where the different decisions would take me, and I especially enjoyed that I could read one version of it over lunch, one version of it on a break, one version of it before dinner...you get the picture. Short erotic stories that give me a quick, 10 minute escape without me needing a whole lot of back story - I was totally into this. Highly recommended, 4 stars!

No es una continuación, en cada libro trata sobre personajes y “fantasías” diferentes. Con estos libros descubrí las historias de hacer tu propio camino y, si una decisión no te gusta, vuelves al principio y tomas la siguiente.
De los tres, mi favorito es el segundo. En el de la boda hay un desarrollo de la protagonista y con los demás personajes, ya que se desarrollan de manera natural a lo largo que avanzas en la trama. Si no te gustan los clichés entonces pueda que se te hagan un poco tontas las escenas o nada reales, pero las fantasías así funcionan.
Esta trilogía la recomiendo si no sabes que leer y quieres pasarlo bien. No es la octava maravilla, pero te hace recordar que los chicos perfectos existen y pueden estar en un bar, en una boda o una cita online.

It's a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure romance novel!
It's not good, of course -- you never read choose-your-own-adventure books (or romance novels) for the plot. The writing's thin and cliched. But there are myriad paths to go down, and so many people to sleep with. Could it be better? Of course. But it's entertaining for what it is (if highly descriptive in its scenarios -- the writers are much better at writing sex scenes than my college roommate and I were when we tried our hands at the genre).
Free book table at work. I wouldn't pay for it, but I can't complain.

Ciekawy koncept, który moim zdaniem nie został do końca wykorzystany. Z jednej strony fajne było to, że samemu można było układać historię i było wiele wariantów (to moja pierwsza książka paragrafowa, więc nie mam porównania z innymi książkami w tym gatunku), z drugiej niektóre wybory były tylko pozorne. Przykładowo, był moment, w którym decydowało się, czy chce się dzielić z jedną osobą pokój, czy nie, po czym jak wybierało się tę drugą opcję, to i tak działa się rzecz, która sprawiała, że musieliśmy zdecydować się na wspólny pokój. To w takim razie nie do końca rozumiem, po co była taka opcja, skoro zamiar autorek był inny. Trochę to odbierało frajdę z czytania, w szczególności jak "przechodziłam", że to tak ujmę, drugi wariant tej gry.
Druga sprawa - kwestia humoru, mam wrażenie, że momentami autorki chciały na siłę być zabawne, ale wiadomo to dość subiektywna kwestia. Inna osoba może się przy każdym wariancie doskonale bawić. Jeśli zaś chodzi o sceny seksu, to były całkiem spoko opisane, choć tutaj miałam wrażenie, że zdecydowanie lepiej brzmiałyby one w oryginalne niż w języku polskim.
Podsumowując, myślę, że ta książka to dobra opcja dla wszystkich, dla których będzie to pierwsze spotkanie z książką paragrafową.

O ludzie co tu się odwaliło… Z jednej strony jestem zachwycona, z drugiej wiem, że nie jest to forma dla mnie. Książka inna niż wszystkie, powieść interaktywna, w której to ty jesteś główna bohaterką i wybierasz jak potoczą się losy poszczególnych postaci.
Myślałam, że akcja z podróżą do Paryża z obcym mężczyzną jest hardkorem, ale im dalej tym więcej się dzieje.
W historii przygotowujemy się do wesela przyjaciółki, a główna bohaterka, powinna nazywać się panna Katastrofa 😄 koszmarne suknie druhen to dopiero początek, możecie doprowadzić do ogromnej ilości wpadek, lub pomoc w przygotowaniu idealnego ślubu ❤️
Była to niezwykła przygoda, choć tak jak pisałam na początku nie do końca dla mnie, nie szłam wg instrukcji tylko po kolei, bo moja ciekawość nie pozwoliła odpuścić mi ani strony, poznałam wszystkie rozwiązania i przez to ciężko mi było się skupić na jednej ścieżce bohaterki.
Jeśli lubicie niekonwencjonalne rozwiązania, szalona przygodę i przygotowania do ślubu jak z bajki to sięgnijcie po tą pozycję 😄 będziecie się na pewno rewelacyjnie bawić 🙂
Tak nawiasem mówiąc nie jest to książka dla dzieci, jest w niej sporo scen erotycznych, więc to książka typowo 18+.

Ugh. I wanted so badly to like this book. I loved My Lady's Choosing, a Regency choose your own adventure romance, but this one fell woefully short. My first path was disappointing and subsequent paths made me feel a bit slutty, fooling around with one guy on the way to the wedding, and ultimately sleeping with another at the hotel! But the first path and the worst. A Bruce Willis look-a-like? YUCK! He wasn't attractive 20 years ago, and he certainly doesn't appeal to me now! Not to mention I'm younger than his daughter, Rumer, so... no... just. No. The worst part is that you can't even get out of sleeping with him! Several paths in this book pigeon-holed you into essentially the same choice, or didn't give you the opportunity to cut and run.
Additionally, a child saying he or she can see that lady's naughty bits because you wind up naked on the front lawn? It was just gross.
This book was cringe-worthy, and not in a good way.

This book could have been a lot better. There are quite a few choices in the book where you do not get to do the choice that you selected. For example, if you choose to go to the wedding alone, you are still thrown together with some guy. If going to the wedding alone is not possible, why is it even given to you as a choice? Similarly, if you choose to have your own room at the wedding, they run out of rooms and you have to share with a guy anyway. Why even have the option of asking for your own room if you do not get to do that? I do not like a Choose Your Own Adventure book that does not follow your choices.

2.5 estrellas en realidad ⭐️
No me gusto mucho, la historia es muy muy pero muy siemple. Creo es es mi peor lectura del año.
Les puse 2.5 estrellas porque en algún momento shippee un poco pero de ahi mmm.. no me convenció.
Termine en libro en una sentada porque nunca habia tenido la experiencia de leer este tipo de libros.
Cuando fui a la fil me costó 10soles y como vi que era de romance dije ya me va a gustar pero pues no y aparte si vuelvo a ver el libro no lo compraría a más de 10 soles.
Sentía que leía una novela de wattpad en todo momento, no digo que este mal no nada de eso pero pues ... no lo se no me convenció 😕

I hated this book. Yes you do get to choose your own adventure but I feel like there where choices the reader should have been given instead of the author choosing for you. The reader should be able to choose to kiss the boy and the sexual thoughts went to far. If these had been a choice it would have been different but just because you go to a wedding with someone does not mean you are going to kiss them or want to have sex. I DNF this book. I don’t enjoy books with sexual content and I feel like this book forced this on people who don’t want to read about this.

A premissa do livro parecia interessante e o factor escolha aliciante mas a escrita foi uma desilusão. Cenários tão improváveis de acontecer na vida real que tornam difícil estarmos na pele da personagem. Faltam descrições, pormenores, sentimentos e emoções que nos agarrem às páginas.
Recheado de clichés das comédias românticas.
As fantasias femininas não são assim tão básicas, exigem mais do escritor.
Bom para quem gosta de uma leitura rápida, leve e sem conteúdo.
Para quem quer mais, fica muito aquém das expectativas.

I picked up this book on a whim, thinking it would be like a grown-up choose your own adventure. In some ways, it was like that, but overall this was really just a terrible book. There weren't as many choices as in the children's CYOA.. and there was no story line... just erotic smut. I would have preferred a little character developement, and maybe some actual story and adventure. I'm surprised I actually made it to an ending.. even though it only took 45 minutes or so.

Really disappointing. I was looking forward to this thinking I would have to make loads of decisions during my best friend’s wedding!! I wanted to make decisions I would actually make in real life but it’s just impossible. When the choices are do you have sex with this guy right now or in a minute there’s not much choice at all! Don’t read this if you actually like cheeky chick-lits because you will be disappointed!

No esperaba realmente nada de este libro. La premisa es buena; tu decides que caminos tomar.
Un libro-juego interactivo. Me hubiera gustado que fuera en primera persona y no en segunda. También de los (quien sabe cuántos) finales distintos, los 4 en los que termine fueron muy simplones y aburridos. Fue una lectura dinámica, no lo negare. Tal vez un día de estos me ponga a llegar a todos los finales posibles.

I had a good ending overall. Bruno ended up with the MC. Bruno was okay, but I'm not really into the whole "I bullied you because I liked you" kind of thing. Even now, as a grown adult, he was calling her "stinky." I also didn't like that he expected her to be turned on and get that he liked her from that.
It reminded me a lot of a typical wedding movie. There was some humor and spicy moments, but I didn't feel especially excited about any of the male choices.

Okay no part of this wasn’t ridiculous but it gets one star instead of two because of this line. “The makeup artist flutters around you, piling on the foundation. You glance in the mirror. Fantastic. You look like a cast member of RuPauls Drag Race. Oh well. There was no chance of getting lucky anyway.” GIRL WTF. You wish that your makeup looked as good as a queen on drag race. Author, have you ever seen a drag queen???? BYE!

Much better than the first book, since there were more choices, and they were also more complicated. My favourite was Jack, so I enjoyed his storylines the most. I especially liked that you could mess up, so there was a risk of choosing wrong, or even if you chose something not necessarily wrong, you could miss the wedding itself.

Muy fácil y rápido de leer, lo termine en 2 horas. De todas las historias posibles, elegí la más aburrida. Igualmente la idea de “elige tu propia aventura” me encanta. Si están aburridos y quiere leer algo que entretenga medianamente, este podría ser una elección de libro.

I was expecting this to be a little disjointed, and it was, but the bigger issue was that it read like a first draft. It was underwritten and often the adventures just led to the other option so they didn't actually diverge that much. It was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Bolehlah sebagai selingan in between Paulo Coelho's heavy style. Bought this at the BBW so yeah, it's a fun book. Warning : Mature content for Malaysia's read.
