I met Destiny at a local book convention a few months ago and was sold from the beginning. I only wish I had read it sooner! This story has everything. Magic, dragons, and a story I couldn’t put down. A fantastic debut novel and I can’t wait to read more in this world.

This was a wonderful read. The story has me captivated. A young lady living a life of torture and feeling like she is nobody runs from the only family she has known. Running from the father who intends to kill her. Maeva is having to learn a new way of living, loving, and trying to trust. The journey this young woman endures is just beautiful, sad, scary, worrisome, and captivating. I loved this book from start to finish. I cannot wait to hear what comes next.

This was a great read. I enjoyed this so much. The fun, adventure, mystery, banter. I couldn't put the book down. I felt like I was in the story the whole time. Going right along with all the characters and involved in their every move.

A princess who endures so much heartache and turmoil in her life as she is growing up. From her ruthless Father and Mother, she runs for her life once the king has a price set on her head and wants to rid her. She finds a new life with a band of assassins and makes it her home. Training to be the person that she becomes. Along the way she learns to trust people she should and shouldn't but does. She fights every day against who wants to be and who she thinks she should be. until one day she learns of a secret that she didn't know she possessed to find out later that that is not all there is to her. Her story goes far beyond what she could have ever thought.

Looking for a great fantasy. This is a good one. Definitely one to add to your shelf.

First off, can we just give a round of applause for the beautiful cover and the access to a playlist of mood reading music?! Bravo!

This is a story of lifelong friendship, love, betrayal, and finding yourself amongst the darkest parts of life. I instantly started rooting for Maeva from the very start. A young woman in fear for her life and belittled by those she calls family. She becomes more bold and courageous as her story unfolds- a force to be reckoned with; a badass.

It was hard to put this down! I wanted to keep reading and unfold more of the story faster and faster. Magic, dragons, assassins, spice, and more!! I thoroughly enjoyed this first novel from Destiny A.W. I can't wait to see how this story continues!

"Into the Embers" was everything I didn’t know I needed—an emotional whirlwind wrapped in rich fantasy and intense romance.
From the very first page, I was pulled into a world where the stakes were high and the emotions ran even deeper. The main character’s journey felt raw and real, navigating heartbreak, strength, and self-discovery in a way that hit me right in the chest.

The romance? Slow-burning but absolutely worth the wait. It wasn’t just about chemistry—it was about healing, trust, and finding light in the darkest places.

This book defies the odds, both in its story and the way it makes you feel. If you're into fantasy with heart, characters you can root for, and writing that lingers long after the last page… Into the Embers is a must-read.

This book was a pleasant surprise! I went into this read without knowing exactly what to expect and I think that made the experience so much better! I struggled just a bit at the beginning with the naivety and “voice” of the FMC, but as I got farther into the book I realized that was part of her journey and was necessary to show her growth. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t know which revelation was the most surprising.

I loved watching Xera start to come into herself. And did I mention there are dragons?
