I wouldve liked this one a lot more if it wasnt for the scumbag manwhore ick factor AND that the manwhore hero brought the heroine to the SAME BED he fucked skanks in!! Totally gross! And WHYYYY is the hero bringing random skanks back to his super secret highly private apartment condo??!? How does that make any sense?
PSA to romance authors: the hero should NEVER bring the heroine to the same bed he laid a whore down in! It kills the swoon! And can we get less details on his std-riddled past? Or, even better, just stop with the manwhore trope altogether! A hero who can control his dick is a hero of self-control, self-discipline, integrity and honor. A hero sticking his dick into anything that walks? Gross.
Besides that ick, the overall plot and story was pretty enjoyable. Hero gets injured, heroine rescues him and then hero takes her to his “super secret sex pad” that apparently only random whores know about to protect the heroine from the bad guys.
Safe-ish. Hero is a manwhore and his past is mentioned ad nauseum to the point I was nauseated. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/very minor OM, no cheating or sharing or abuse. Hea but no real epilogue.
Well this was somewhat of a letdown. I was so looking forward to Roman’s story. He’s supposed to be like Mason - strong, dominant, decisive. But way hotter. He was so good helping Charlotte (1st book) and I loved how he took charge and handled everything in Leo’s and Jake’s stories.
I was expecting a strong plot, a kickass take charge FMC to match his energy. I wanted strong chemistry and funny banter. So it was very disappointing that his story starts out with him injured and doesn’t get much better than that. The plot was weak, I was not impressed with Maddie and it had nothing to do with her vision problems but more about her lack of ambition, her poor decision making skills and very weak inner strength. Emotionally she’s soft. The plot also dragged and didn’t go anywhere. These two seemed flat.
FYI, Mason is quite a world class jerk when he’s away from Charlotte for any length of time. Which he was in this book. If his utter assholery wasn’t obvious in the previous books, it’s in neon lights in this one.
There was kind of a weak 3rd act breakup where Maddie and Roman split up temporarily due to a misunderstanding that could’ve been cleared up if they had just talked like adults. It was a ‘blink and you miss it’ moment.
But despite all of Roman’s strengths in the previous books, he got a little wimpy in this one. He did put his foot down to get his way in the end but really, for a guy who is supposed to have his act together, that took way too long to happen. So disappointing. I should’ve skipped this. I hope Luke’s story is better.
The Kincaids are building a tunnel under Las Vegas & they need to buy a property so that a vent can be built but the owner runs an animal sanctuary next to her home & won’t sell. One evening Roman Kincaid accompanies his cousin Luke to see the property when things spiral out of control. Maddie is certified as blind and the caretaker of every wounded animal that comes her way. Her best friend Lucia persuades her to go on a date, when she’s dropped off at home things go pear shaped. And Roman & Maddie meet The fourth book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own, this series is seriously good so I’d recommend reading from the start. I loved both Roman & Maddie, their chemistry is electric, she’s so giving & he’s so caring. Their romance was lovely especially set against the Kincaids’ background I also loved the dynamics between the Kincaids. A very well written page turner which I found hard to put down I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
Roman and Maddie were absolutely adorable! I did want a little more of Roman navigating around her blindness to see her strength despite her visual limitations. He sees that anyway, but I wanted more. Just like the other books, he is using her, falls for her and decides to go against his family for her if needed. She finds out he's been using her and is mad for all of 2 seconds and then it's all back to normal. This particular story line is getting too repetitive for this series and I hope we see something different for the next book. I wish the FMC's stood their ground a bit more and made the guys grovel for their forgiveness. I will say, the fact that Roman ratted his brother out to his wife, absolutely hilarious!
Ohhh, it's happened again!!! this book is amazing! read it in a night 🩵💙 I love Rowan, the way he pays attention to every little detail and knows exactly what a woman wants 🔥😍
Great book! I didn’t want to put it down! I love how the two main characters come to meet since it seems backwards. Such a beautiful journey! I can’t wait for the next one.
I received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.
Do the men really have to use and rip off a blind woman? It’s making me hate them.
I understand that the Kincaid family aren’t nice, sweet gentlemen, but do they have to use every woman they meet? This one seemed a lot worse as Mason orders Roman to use Maddie (Who is legally blind.) and get her house of her. Her house that she lived with her grandmother in and she feels safe in! They need the house because it’s over the frigging tunnel! The tunnel plot is BORING! They all act like it’s going to save their lives and it’s a matter of life and death.
When Luke and Roman decide at one in the morning to ‘have a look’ at Maddie’s house, they’re soon involved in a shootout with the Italians. Roman is helped by Maddie who has no clue that he was there to basically see if they could force her out of the property. Roman to ‘protect’ and use Maddie takes her back to his apartment and to watch her, as she was on a date with one of the evil Italians. (😂😂) For some bizarre reason Mason thinks she might be a spy for the Italians. OH COME ON!! SHE’S NEARLY BLIND!!! Mason acts like a right d*ck in this book, as he demands Roman uses her.
Of course Roman and Maddie are soon having s*x, yeah of course they are, and are soon in love. Till Maddie finds out what Roman was up to.
I have to say that I skimmed a lot of this one. The way that they plot and manipulate Maddie was disgusting! Even going as far as ‘finding’ a cat that needs help to keep her occupied. As Maddie runs a sort of sanctuary for animals that need her help. How she does that when she can’t see I’m not sure. Weirdly the rest of the book the author makes Maddie incapable of doing anything as she’s blind.
Hated the way that they used a blind woman to get what they wanted. 😡😡😡
The fourth story in the Lords of Las Vegas. Roman Kincaid and Maddie Reid's well written story, this series just gets better with each new story. There is drama, suspense, action, animal rescue, and romance. I would say that this one was my favorite so far. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
👑King of ruin, Tammy Adresen 242 pagini (Lords of Las Vegas, #4)
👑Posibile spoilere!
This was mostly cute. And short, it seemed shorter than the rest, anyway. Maddie is legally blind and somehow owns a house in the middle of Vegas that the Kincaids need for their underground tunnel operation. They’ve been trying to buy it to no avail. Maddie doesn’t care much about money, she likes animals and caring for any of them (birds and squirrels mostly). Until she goes on a double date with one of the Vendetti brothers and it goes wrong when the brothers take shots at Luke and Roman outside of Maddie’s property. Roman was wearing a bulletproof vest, of course he was still wearing one even though he had been at home hoping to finally relax, of course he didn’t take it off yet🙄 and that saves his life but the hit knocked him out since he hit his head falling. When he comes to, Maddie is there helping him inside her home and Luke is nowhere to be seen.
To protect Maddie, and to manipulate her into selling her property, Roman takes Maddie to his place, one of the indestructible buildings the brothers own. On their first night there, Maddie sleeps with Roman in his bed and when they wake up she has zero objections to dry humping him to orgasm. The guy she just met because someone shot him. The guy she knows nothing about other than his first name, and Maddie’s a virgin too, of course. But somehow Maddie loses her inhibitions with Roman and soon enough, like 3 days later at most, she gives him her virginity. And Roman is realizing he’s in love with her. Though it did bother me that he realized he’s was in love before they had sex, then after they have sex he immediately thinks he won’t want another woman at least for a long time. Uh what!!? Shouldn’t the thought have been he definitely won’t want anyone else? Like wtf, Roman?! But whatever.
Anyway with a surly cat who has kittens brought in to manipulate Maddie, and Roman realizing he wants to help Maddie and protect her more than he wants his billions and working with his family, you see how he’s good for her, and vice versa. All the while Luke is still missing as far as Roman knows.
In the end things all work out because Maddie doesn’t want to keep the property and agrees to sell, though the Vendetti brothers burn her house to the ground so there’s no house anyway, and Maddie is going to run a nonprofit for animals. And Roman is going to help her. And Luke is ok, and probably going to end up with the one appearance Kate who was on the Vendetti double date for the food, and just meets Maddie that night. Maddie and Roman are getting married, she’s getting a seeing-eye dog, and she’s preggers because when have any of these Kincaid men had a birth control conversation before sleeping with their women? The fact she’s only pregnant a year later is surprising.
I have been completely blown away by this mafia billionaire contemporary romance series by Tammy Andresen. I adore her historical romances and am typically very selective when choosing contemporary books, but since she’s one of my favorite authors, I gave it a try—and I’m so glad I did. This series offers a fresh and exciting option while still holding the charm I love about Andresen’s storytelling.
Once again, Tammy Andresen crafts compelling backstories that make her characters deeply relatable. I loved seeing Roman and Maddie grow as individuals while discovering they needed each other to be truly whole. Her writing is powerful, blending danger and drama with passion and emotional depth. The men are irresistibly strong and sexy, while the women are resilient and endearing. Be warned there is quite of bit of sizzling hot sexy scenes!
In King of Ruin, we meet Roman Kincaid, a cold, calculating billionaire from the powerful Kincaid family. Maddie Reid, a sweet, shy, legally blind caretaker of rescued animals, finds herself caught in the crossfire of Roman’s dangerous world when he’s shot outside her home. While Roman initially aims to protect her for pragmatic reasons, their time together sparks emotions neither of them expect. Despite his family’s dangerous pursuit of Maddie’s property—and his efforts to keep her safe—it becomes clear that Roman will do whatever it takes to protect, help, and love her.
This story is a thrilling mix of action, drama, and romance, exploring themes of vulnerability, power, and the choices that define us. Roman’s journey from ruthless businessman to a man willing to change for love is both gripping and heartwarming.
Tammy Andresen continues to excel with The Lords of Las Vegas series, proving her versatility and creativity as a storyteller. With rich characters, fast-paced action, and undeniable chemistry, she delivers yet another must-read novel that fans won’t want to miss. I can’t get enough of this series and eagerly await the next installment.
I received an ARC (advanced review copy) for free and am sharing my thoughts voluntarily.
Book Review: King of Ruin by Tammy Andresen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Okay so here’s the deal. This book was fast. Like blink-and-they’re-in-love fast. Is it a little over the top that everyone’s falling madly in love within a week and half the cast is somehow a virgin in the middle of mafia warfare? Yeah. But is it still addictive and fun to read? Also yes.
Roman and Maddie might just be my favorite pairing in the Kings of Las Vegas series so far. Roman is everything I love in a mafia hero. Hard, ruthless, scary when needed, but soft as hell when it comes to his girl. And I mean come on, the man takes care of a cat just to make her happy. I didn’t know I needed that level of devotion until now.
Maddie brought something different to the series. She’s sight-impaired, and that added depth to her character in a way that really pulled on my heart. She’s not a damsel, though. She’s sharp, capable, and so easy to root for. Their connection felt real even if the timeline was quick, and the way Roman protects her while still letting her stand on her own? Swoon.
The action is nonstop. This book doesn’t let up, and it’s exactly what keeps you flipping pages like you’re being chased. The entire series has this chaotic, high-stakes energy and this one just continues the madness. Mafia, revenge, secret plots, and just the right amount of emotional softness to balance the violence.
Side note: Josh and Lucia were such a fun side duo. I fully expected Lucia to have some secret betrayal moment but nope, she’s just chaotic and entertaining and I loved that for her. And Vincent setting himself on fire? Shouldn’t have laughed but I did.
The only reason this didn’t hit a full five stars for me is the pacing. Everything happens so fast it’s kind of hard to catch your breath. Insta-love is strong here and not everyone’s going to vibe with that. But the emotional payoff still landed and honestly, I’m way too invested to stop now.
This was a solid addition to the series and I cannot wait to see what chaos Luke and Kate get into next. If you’re into dangerous men with soft hearts, high-speed plotlines, and steamy romance with a touch of wild, King of Ruin is a ride worth taking.
If I got to pick a Kincaid man to look after me, I would definitely be picking Roman Kincaid. He’s got it all…the looks, the bad boy attitude, the protective possessiveness, but what makes him my choice over all the others is his caring, nurturing ways. In this fourth addition to the Lords of Las Vegas series, Roman and his cousin find themselves being shot by the Vendetti twins and although they are both wearing bulletproof vests, they both are hit. Roman’s hit is to the vest but it is so forceful that it knocks him off his feet, he hits his head and blacks out. He wakes up to find the beautiful Maddie Reid feeling all over his body and Luke no where to be seen. Realizing he needs to get to a safer location, he gets Maddie to help him into her house and that’s when it’s revealed to him that the lovely woman helping him is blind. This very woman is the one the Kincaid’s have been trying to get to sale her home and animal sanctuary to them so they can vent the underground tunnels connecting their casinos. Next Roman and Maddie are once again facing a Vendetti, but this time Roman’s fighting back and protecting what he will soon be calling “Mine”. This series just keeps getting better and better with this one being the one with more loving care scenes and possibly the most steamy interactions. It’s got all the mafia vibes, the brother’s fighting over each other actions, some underhanded sneaky manipulations, lying yet lots of honesty, animal rescue with baby kittens and two individuals both limited in their own way finding their perfect match together. This couple is just absolutely pure sweetness together. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Although I read historical romance 99% of the time, every now and then, one of my favorite HR authors dives into a different genre. Enter the dark and steamy world of billionaire romance with The Lords of Las Vegas series, which I’ve adored from start to finish & there are more books to come!
In King of Ruin, we meet Roman Kincaid, a ruthless billionaire & part of a large family of men, fighting to stay on top of the morally gray Vegas underworld. Maddie Reid, our lovely, sweet, legally blind caretaker of rescued wounded animals, brings a ray of sunshine into his cutthroat life. Their first meeting? Nothing short of dramatic! Maddie rescues Roman after he gets shot outside her quaint little house in the middle of downtown Vegas. Talk about a meet-cute with bullets flying! Despite Roman’s cold, calculating nature, he’s drawn to Maddie’s kindness and the sanctuary she’s created. But danger lurks as an enemy organization also have their eyes on Maddie’s property. The stakes are high, and Roman’s armor slowly melts away thanks to this innocent animal lover. The story dives into themes of power, vulnerability, and the lengths people will go to protect what/who they love. It's a gripping narrative exploring Las Vegas's underbelly, where success often comes at a steep price. I loved Roman's epiphany, prompted by Jack, a longtime family employee: “He said I could be bigger, or I could be better. I’m ready to be a better man, Maddie.”
The author has done it again with her thrilling contemporary series, The Lords of Las Vegas. Known for her rich storytelling and captivating characters, she keeps readers hooked with each new release. This series is a wild departure from her beloved HR, and fans like me can’t get enough! It is well-written, exciting, and steamy which keeps readers captivated until the end—another fantastic read from this talented writer! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was tempted to give this book 2 stars because the back-to-back sex scenes were far too much, too long, and didn't move the plot forward. Plus, much of what Maddie was able to do, especially in an unfamiliar setting, didn't make sense if she could only see outlines of shapes in bright enough light.
There are glaring inconsistencies between the books. Mason is described as Roman's parental figure after the father's death. Yet Roman lived with an aunt (Luke's mother?), and Mason was away at Harvard business school. We were told that the mom was an alcoholic for the last 2 years of her life and that 10-year-old Roman took care of himself and the younger sister during this time. Leo, the middle brother, was already working in the casino and would have at least been 21 when the mother was negligent. At the very least, there's an 8-year age gap between Leo and Roman. Then there is the uncle (Jake) who is only 35 in the previous book but supposed to be a "few years" older than Mason. That means Mason cannot be older than 32, Leo cannot be older than 30, and Roman cannot be older than 22. Roman would have only recently graduated (and he says Mason provided his college education) and couldn't possibly be an established businessman running multiple casinos.
Another pet peeve is characters with names that are too similar: Jake, the uncle and best friend to his dead brother; Jack, the oldtime gangster and also best friend to the same dead man. Seriously? The author couldn't bother to pick names that would avoid confusion? (Brothers Gris and Tris in the previous book are another example.)
At any rate, I won't be reading the rest of this series.
King of Ruin Lords of Las Vegas #4 by Tammy Andresen
This series just keeps giving!
Roman Kincaid is the youngest brother…he grew up taking care of his mother and his youger sister and he might not be the first one to tell you, he is a giver, he cares…but he keeps this secret from his brothers, his uncle and his cousin,
When Maddie Reid helps Roman hide from the Vendetti brothers and he realizes that she needs someone to keep her safe from the Vendetti’s he volunteers to do exactly that. Of course, he knows that his family also needs her land, but, she is kind, caring, needs to be protected ….. all the things he is good at; Roman wonders are they doing the right thing? Is he really cut out for his job with his family.
This author continues to raise the bar on each of her Kings of Las Vegas series.
Roman doen’t really have the heart for the business the family is in…so given a chance to save the pretty girl who is quickly stealing his heart, Roman struggles with his feeling for Maddie and his position in the family.
I loved the banter that goes back and forth between the characters. I hoped that Roman wasn’t going to have to struggle to much in making his decisions and I loved watching his real self come out for Maggie…on top of that I kinda was rooting for him to tell his older brother Mason, his truth, his history and what he wants to be his future.
Definitely a five star read.
Very much looking forward to the next book in this series.
I have not read any of the other books in this series, so I don't know how different Roman's portrayal in this book versus the other books in the serious.
I think the story had promise - a blind girl running a wild animal rehab facility out of her house is being pursued by a real estate developer who needs her property to complete a construction project. Girl is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is loosely connected to RE developer's competitor. Real estate developer "saves" her while looking for a missing relative and trying to figure out how to get her property.
Our heroine is a legally blind, sheltered virgin who seems to turn into a nympho and is banging our hero less than 36 hours after meeting him. Falls in love with him in less than week. Our hero flip-flops between not wanting to be stuck taking care of a woman ever again (the result of a difficult childhood) to wanting to do everything for our heroine. There's a half-assed conflict about the method used by the hero to obtain her property. A quick resolution involving the bad guys. And a plotline involving a cat because they need to keep our heroine distracted.
The story just felt rushed, like the author was trying to meet a publishing obligation. Not a great first impression of this author and I don't think I'll be reading any other works.
A great addition to the Lords of Vegas Series. When I started the series (this is book 4) I knew that Roman’s story was going to be a good one. That’s why I highly recommend you read the series in order. It’s not a must, you can enjoy them all as standalones but oh what a better reading experience you’ll get if you do read them in order.
The Kincaids are one property away from being able to complete the tunnel under Las Vegas that will connect the casinos and make the Kincaid’s more empowered than they are. That single property belongs to Maddie. She has refused every offer the Kincaids have made so far. After all this property and the animal refuge she runs on it are all she has left of her grandmother, the woman who raised her. If she only knew the Kincaids were not the only one’s wanting her land. When trouble comes her way, what does Maddie do? Does she refuse everyone? Does she accept Roman and his brother’s help? Are they the lesser of two evils? And what about Roman? Once he meets the beautiful, blind woman and gets to know her story, will he become her protector or will he do what he must for the family?
Outstanding read in an amazing series that I highly recommend. Grab them up asap… you won’t be sorry.
Fast paced, surprisingly sweet, and absolutely fantastic! With a broody mafia bad boy set to take over the throne for his brother, a crazy sweet and wholly innocent woman with a penchant for taking in wounded animals, lust neither one saw coming, a heart that kicks into high gear when he swore it stopped working, and high stakes family drama mixed in with kidnapping, shootings, and a crazy twin Italian duo dead set on revenge, you are nothing but completely entertained, totally hooked, and swooning all over the place, as Roman finds himself battling with his brother, losing sleep over a cat, and wrapped right around Maddie’s little finger. Something about the biggest and baddest falling for the sweetest and kindest that just makes you go aww. And this read does it in spades. From the cat to rethinking his entire life, Roman, the biggest and baddest, is so gone for Maddie, of the sweet and kind variety, that it’s humorous and fun even as the lies build up, the danger gets closer, and an empire is at risk of falling apart. It’s got it’s share of adorable, Roman’s protective instincts are so on point and sexy, love that Maddie has a baddie best friend in Lucia (she’s almost scarier than the mafia guys), and totally enjoyed this read from start to finish.
📚📚📚 Another one that I absolutely just loved in this series! Truly all of Tammy’s mafia men are just such perfect book boyfriends 😍 Maddie is totally a favorite FMC now. That women’s strength in this book is just so amazing! Roman and Maddie together was so perfect and made my heart feel all the happy feelings. Their chemistry was just everything. This book definitely brings us on an intense adventure with suspense, lies and all of the love. I was giggling to pacing to giggling some more while reading. I totally recommend adding this one to your tbr!
Also the cat had to be some of the best parts 🤣
📚📚📚 If you like to read: - Mafia romance - Visually impaired FMC - Forced Proximity … You should definitely check this out

Thank you so much for sending me a copy for an honest review in my own words. #giftedcopy
✨where’s some of your favorite places to get book merch?
"I want to be where you are. Doing what you do." "Roman,' she whispers against my lips. "Let me be your protector, sweetheart. Your muscle, Your eyes when you need to see, your hands when you need precision. "And in return?" "You will be my heart. Teach me to love the way you do, sweetheart." I didn't think out of the whole series I would have a favorite MMC, but Roman is literally top tier. I mean, all the men are absolutely amazing in there own way and I love them all, but Roman has my heart 🖤 I didn't expect the book to have the kind of plot that it did, but it was heartbreakingly beautiful. Tammy really did justice with both the FMC and MMC. I was also really happy the way Lucia stood up to Mason, i couldn't stop laughing! The disability representation throughout the book was well done as I wasn't expecting that. As usual, 5 stars and I can't wait for the next read and can't say too much more as I tell everyone to start with book 1. This is in my top 5 favorite series I've read this year, and happy I got to arc Read this, forever grateful 🫶🏻🖤🖤
I appreciate the concept behind the story, but overall, it didn't resonate with me as much as I hoped. Roman was such a captivating character in the first two books—his depth and complexity really drew me in. Unfortunately, in this installment, he feels diminished and lacks the same strength and dynamism that made him so memorable before. I haven't had the chance to read Book 3 yet.
On another note, I find the idea of a blind female main character quite intriguing. However, I felt that her personality could have been developed further to make her more engaging. Maddie's passion for helping animals is a great trait, but it seemed to overshadow any other interests she might have had. She came across as somewhat one-dimensional, lacking diverse hobbies or deeper layers that could have made her more relatable and compelling. Overall, I yearned for a more vibrant character.
I loved the ending with Maddie showing him that he will be a father. The sex scenes are tasteful and a delight to read.
King of Ruin is the 4th book in the Kings of Las Vegas series, and honestly—it was just really cute.
The FMC has a visual impairment, and I loved how that was handled. Roman may be a rich, mob-connected asshole on the surface, but with her? He’s unexpectedly gentle, patient, and protective. Of course, nothing is simple—he’s hiding who he really is and the fact that he’s after her land, willing to do whatever it takes to get it. That internal conflict added a nice layer of tension to an otherwise sweet romance.
This book leaned more toward soft, tender moments than dark or spicy ones, which worked for the story—but I personally would’ve loved a bit more heat 🌶️. That said, Tammy Andresen does what she does best: an easy-to-read, fast-paced romance that pulls you in without overcomplicating things.
Overall, a solid addition to the series, sweet with just enough edge. If you like mob romance with heart and low angst, this one’s worth the read.
Final rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would’ve been a 5 with more spice.
Okay, this was my favorite couple of the series! Roman Kincaid is part of the Kincaid family who rules the Vegas real estate world. Maddie Reid is a legally blind woman who runs a non-profit animal sanctuary in the city. The Kincaids want her land for a big project, but she refuses to sell. She first meets Roman when she hears a strange sound outside of her house and finds him injured. Her need to help all things living kicks into gear, but he also comes to save the day and takes her away to keep her safe, but also has ulterior motives. These two have insta-chemistry that is undeniable. I think they are my favorite because Roman's demeanor is just so perfect. He is all alpha but the way he takes care of her and how he speaks to her is just swoon worthy. And Maddie is just such a sweet, loving, kind human being. This really tugs at your heartstrings at how sweet their romance is. And this was an easy read which I appreciate. Loved this one so much!!
First I'm going to say that if you haven't started this series, run out now and do so! Next, if you like contemporary stories this is made just for you! And finally, I only venture away from historical romance to contemporary for three authors and this is one of them. This author, whom I follow for historical, has dipped her talented being into a different genre and she's amazing. The banter is top notch, the plot is fully enthralling and the characters are to sigh over from beginning to end. Roman being the youngest brother of four has the gentlest heart yet lives a life full of the Vegas underbelly. And he's swoon worthy! Maddie is sweet, loving, naive yet kindness abound. Mixing these two characters just fits beyond words. Don't take my word for it, go get it and see for yourself!!!
I think I must write the first part of my review for each book in the series. They are wonderful. For a non-Contemporary book reader, I could not put them down. I finished the whole series of 6 books in less than a week. It was like reading a continuation of a story. I read one book, which had me reading the next. I enjoyed how each book had all the Kincaid men in each of them. I will say, every time I read one, I thought that couple was my favorite. I have decided they are all my favorite, just in different ways. But one thing about the Kincaid men, when they fall in love the fall hard. Roman is the organized brother, the one who takes care of everything and gets things done without any problems. When he meets Maggie, she is saving his life and he of course wanted to help her and take care of her, because that is what he does best.
This was so good 😭 i love Maddie so much. she’s an angel on earth, took care of her grandmother while she had dementia. runs an animal sanctuary from her back yard (mostly for birds and squirrels). puts literally everyone above herself. I wish i could give her a hug. She thinks she isn’t worthy of Roman bc she’s blind and requires help in life but Roman is so down bad he would do anything for her.
also a big F U to Mason. I read book 1 (which is his book) in 2024 and didn’t love. Came back to the series for book 6 and am now working my way back through.. Mason just sucks. I don’t think the purpose is to see him as the villain but he’s constantly acting like one 😒
-disability rep - visually impaired -billionaire x animal sanctuary owner -OTT protective/possessive -virgin FMC -he falls first -morally grey MMC -grovel (just a lil bit)
