A gargoyle of Levet’s charm and intelligence should not be facing a solitary Christmas. True, he may appear a little unconventional—not to mention unconventionally little—even for a gargoyle. But what Levet lacks in height he makes up for in loyalty, and being banned from the festivities surrounding the Queen of Weres’ new pups is quite unfair.
So when a beautiful Christmas angel begs for help in fulfilling her duties, Levet has nothing better to do than agree. Armed with a magical wand, Levet confronts Damon, a pureblood Were intent on seizing the throne. Challenging the King will put the pups at risk—and drive away Damon’s potential mate, Gia. Who better to convince Damon to choose love, not war, than a gargoyle expert in amour? With a little magic, and a lot of Levet, this may yet be a truly wonderful Christmas time.
I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.
Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!
I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.
For fans of the Guardians of Eternity series, you are in for a candy coated Christmas treat. A Christmas novella with my favorite Gargoyle Levet. Plus, we get to catch up with some of our favorites involving a storyline with the Weres.
For those of you who follow Guardians of Eternity Series, you know the fun loving gargoyle who was mocked by all the other Gargoyles because of his small stature, but that doesn't detour Levet, he has the family he has created, and all the GoE women absolutely adore him.
Alexandra Ivy once again has Levet saving the day...or rather Christmas. This time he does so by helping a Christmas fairy who is stuck in a portal and asks Levet to finish her mission. This leads to both Levet and Were Damon going into the past, present and future, reminiscent of “A Christmas Carol”.
Fun read, highly recommend for GoE and Levet fans!!
If the movies A Christmas Carol and Scrooged had a book baby…. This would be it!
What a way to get into the holiday spirit! Our favorite gargoyle Levet is tasked to save Christmas for the King and Queen of the Weres’. It is a calamity of fun when the unexpected and inexperienced magic takes hold of Levet and his newly acquired wand.
With the Christmas Angel out of commission, Levet and Damon are thrust into the past, present, and the future. Can they save Christmas? Will the royal pups remain safe? Will Levet get lucky yet again? It’s a royal Christmas treat for fans of the Guardians of Eternity Series. A perfect stocking stuffer read.
Levet memang selalu berhasil memperbaiki moodku hihihi..
I enjoyed A Very Levet Christmas. Levet is feeling down this Christmas holiday, since he has been left out of the celebration of the birth of Harley’s new pups. Levet is adorable as every and takes us on an adventure to protect the were’s and set one on a new path. The characters come to life and even if you have not read the Guardians of Eternity series before the author gives enough background to get you hooked and enjoy this novella.
It was a very sweet and wonderful novella to read in the Guardians of Eternity series focusing on the wolves, Levet, and A Christmas Carol twist. It can be read anytime of year, but if you are looking for a Christmasy story to read, then this will get you into the Christmas spirt.
Wishes do come true if you wish hard enough and believe. Read this very interesting book and learn how Damon, a werewolf , and Levet , a gargoyle, learn about love and how to change the future. This is another version of Dickens Christmas Carol with a bit of a twist! Worth more than five stars! Such drama and romance with a bit of humorous!
I really enjoyed the last time the author wrote a Christmas novella featuring the adorable gargoyle, Levet, so I was tickled to see she had done it again. This time it not only pursues a little adventure for Levet acting as a Christmas Angel/matchmaker, but introduces Savatore and Hailey's cutie babies.
Levet is feeling sorry for himself because he was anticipating spending the Christmas holidays with his adopted family only to be turned away from seeing Hailey and her babies and left to spend the holiday alone. Then he encounters a Christmas Angel who gives him a magic wand and a mission with deep ramifications.
The wand takes Levet to a were set on challenging Salvatore for the were throne because he feels it is his duty even if it means sacrificing his own happiness and that of his true mate, Gia. Ala Dickens' A Christmas Carol-style, Levet and the were, Damon, with the help of the magic wand journey back through Damon's life and his future if he pursues the path he is on. It will all come down to perceived duty or desire for Damon. And in the end, Levet has a merry Christmas afterall.
Many times a short story hits the action and the passion hard and fast, but doesn't do a lot to develop story thematic elements and characters. I loved how this one explored the concept of family, acceptance, and the dilemma of duty to family. She did a good job of infusing this paranormal short with a holiday flavor too. It was fun to see Salvatore and Hailey as parents and get a visit from other familiar characters. Damon story was heartwarming and I hope him and Gia turn up in further stories. And to cap it off, Levet's narration was humorous and sweet.
This one is definitely for the fans of the Guardians of Eternity series and I would recommend the series to those who enjoy paranormal romance.
My thanks to Kensington and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Since I am a giant fan of this series this little ditty was a delight for me. The joyful event has happened but dad is now a bundle of nerves. Can you picture that? Levet comes to see them all but low and behold he barred of all things. Holidays closing in feeling totally alone his musings taking him along, he hears a cry for help. Always one to help a female he goes in search and finds a Christmas angel. She has missed her opening and must have help till she can access it. They strike a bargain and the fun really begins. It is in the spirit of Christmas this novel will proceed but in the fashion we know and love that this author delivers with the lovable Levet. He proceeds to meet and will open the eyes of one who if they do not see the err of their ways would hurt many a loved one of his. You proceed quickly through this tale because there is no other way you want to because you are so caught up in it. It will tug at your heart but also will answer some more questions if you have read any of these novels. The spirit of Christmas is indeed captured in here paranormal style that totally fits with this series. Danger will be diverted with a little magic I would say. Love able ending with Levet truly getting the best present at Christmas being with his loved ones and truly being loved in return. Received a arc for a honest review.
Is it that time already, time to start seeing Christmas based new releases for 2014? Apparently it is, I happened to grab Alexandra Ivy’s release of A Very Levet Christmas.
Although the story even titles Levet, it is more the story of Damon and Gia finding love. Don’t worry Levet is a major player, he just once again doesn’t get the girl.
In the spirit of A Christmas Carol, Ivy gives us a highly entertaining paranormal Guardians of Eternity twist on the well loved classic.
The story is pretty short but still manages to give great storytelling. I know I appreciated this story more since I am a series fan…and well it had Levet...and who can resist Levet. I think of this story more as a teaser, giving fans just enough of past characters with a bit of a new story to make us want more.
Fast, fun and packed with paranormal holiday cheer, A Very Levet Christmas hits the festive seasonal spot. @KensingtonBooks #Klover
I received this ARC copy of A Very Levet Christmas from Kensington Books - Zebra Books in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication September 30, 2014. @KensingtonBooks #Klover
A Very Levet Christmas is a novella in the Guardians of Eternity series (11.5).
It starts with Levet being turned away when he wants to see Harley and Salvatore's pups. It leaves him feeling sad and dejected but as he's making his way back to Chicago, he hears a cry for help. He goes to investigate and discovers that she is the Christmas Angel and stuck in a portal because she'd had too much wine at the office party and it had begun to close as she was trying to get through at the last moment.
Levet ends up with her wand and heads north again and encounters Damon, a were that is going to fight Salvatore for the position of king.
The story is based on Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" with Levet taking Damon to his past, present and future. In all honesty, I've never read "A Christmas Carol" and I've seen only bits and pieces of it in movies. But you would have had to live under a rock for the past hundred years not to have heard of it.
Levet is cute and funny, as he always is but he's actually pretty smart, too. The story is short and fun as well as loaded with action and a romance to boot.
Thanks Netgalley for a free read in exchange for a review. What a sweet holiday story! I get so emotional reading Christmas stories sometimes and this one wasn't any different. Very cute rendition of A Christmas Story using Levet as the ghost who takes a wolf through the past, present, and future. I was crying by the end but it's beautifully done, and definitely a unique twist. Very nice for a novella too. I loved it so five entertainment stars.
Short and Cute. A take of "A Christmas Carol" with Levet taking on the role of the Christmas Spirit taking an enemy of Salvatore through the Past, Present and Future.
Heartwarming short story about Levet at Christmas time based loosely Dicken’s The Christmas Carol.
Harley has finally has her babies and its Christmas! What could be better? But things never go right for Levet. Especially after he meets a trapped Christmas fairy and agrees to assist her with her duties.
His mission? To help the Were warrior Damon make the right decision about his life and stop him from challenging Salvatore.
Fave scene: Salvatore obeying Harley at the conclusion.
My favorite miniature gargoyle is the best character in this series
And this Christmas story will warm your heart a little. As usual, he manages to save the day. I really like how all the female characters in this series loves him...and all the males hate him. I
Better yet, his actions enable another couple to have their HEA, and an established couple to KEEP their HEA. What more could any Christmas need?
This was a very sweet Christmas story. Gotta love Levet. Poor little guy was turned away from the family he thought he had, when he meets up with the Christmas Angel who is half stuck in a portal. Everything changes.
I loved the play on a traditional Christmas story. Damon was as blind as Ebeneezer Scrooge. If you've read the other Guardians of Eternity books, you will find it even more enjoyable.
Levet a three feet tall Gargoyle, meet a Christmas Angel Sera, he had been chosen to perform a Christmas Carol to no other Damon a Were Wolf! The Night proceeds as Dickens, written his story. Merry Christmas to all!
A must read. I love Levet he is a cathather. He shows up always at the right time and place in this series. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Love Levet!!!!! One of my all time favorite characters!!!! This could have made a nice long book. The story line was great but too short. Plus Levet could just have his own book!!!
