After starting over once again, I thought my life was on the right track, but everything changed in the blink of an eye when my roommate’s secrets caught up with him—and me.
I didn’t have a choice. I had to hide while I figured out what to do.
I drove until I was almost out of gas and stopped in the next town I came to, which happened to be Cedar Valley. When I walked into the local diner to apply for a job, I had no idea I would walk out with so much more.
Edge
When Byte asked me to watch over Irene’s Diner, I was happy to help. He considered Irene to be family, which made her my family.
What I didn’t expect was to become fixated on her newest employee. Evie’s beautiful face was marred with bruises and swollen eyes. I didn’t believe the story she told me, but I couldn’t press her for more information.
I was determined to find out what happened to her, but my instincts told me to gain her trust and make her feel safe first. Little did I know—it would come at a significant cost.

This one really started out bad for Evie, she lucked out when she ended up stopping where she did. While things looked dire at first for her, it was the best thing that hit her. She found a job, found people that cared for her and found love. It was just really messy in the middle until the drama ended and she could finally be happy.
It was great to see the MC step up to help and how Evie was brought into the fold, how they understood her version of things and why she told things to Edge the way she did. Things got very dicey for a bit there as so many were hurt and we weren't sure if they were going to make it. And as bad as it was for them, it seemed just as bad for those that were there right in the aftermath that helped.

She's the new waitress at the diner with Irene. And is running from something. But Edge and the club rally behind her to help her and help her claim her new life.
2.5* It’s enjoyable but there are a huge amount of mistakes.
I’m enjoying this series far more than the older generations books. I wasn’t that keen on Phoenix’, Dash and Duke’s books. While I enjoyed it, it didn’t grip me. The danger when it happened was ridiculous and it spoilt it. There’s also a HUGE amount of mistakes.
Evie is on the run when she applies for a job at Irene’s diner. Irene takes one look at Evie’s black eyes and employs her straight away. Edge is immediately drawn to Evie and when he finds out what danger she is in, HE TELLS PHOENIX ALL OF IT! I’m highlighting this part as later on Phoenix doesn’t know anything about it! As Evie’s problems will affect their Mc Edge has to tell him. As the danger draws near it didn’t really grip me, sadly. It’s rushed through without much thought of how unbelievable it is.
I liked Edge and Evie’s relationship at the beginning of the book, but later on it feels weird and almost forced.
While I enjoyed this book there a lot of issues; 🔵 Edge never tells Evie his real name yet she starts calling him it halfway through the book. 🔵 Phoenix is informed EXACTLY WHO EVIE IS, and what danger she is in, as it affects the whole club. Yet later on in the book he knew nothing about it. 🔵 The danger when it happens is beyond unbelievable. There’s no way that it could have happened! None! 🔵 People’s ages don’t correlate. By my reckoning Phoenix must be about 60, which puts Ranger at 80 ish! 😱 As Ember’s eldest son is a prospect so he’s 18. 🔵 As it’s a new series with a younger generation why why why does the author not put a description of who people are? It’s so confusing. 🔵 This is the second book that Duke has not been mentioned. Has he vanished?
I could go on but I won’t. Yes it’s enjoyable but switch your brain off before reading it.
Edge & Evie: triggers- domestic violence, stalking, drugs, gun violence. Evie is running from a bag situation. She ends up at Irene's diner badly beaten and gets a job waiting tables and a place to stay. No one knows anything about her but the do know that she is skittish around the MC. Edge is a member of the MC and he meets Evie while sitting say the diner keeping an eye on things. Immediately he knows... She's the one. But she's skittish and untrusting. He has to break down her walls and get her to trust him but he has to give her time. Meanwhile, somebody's trying to find her and get rid of the evidence. This was a good story although I felt like there's hardly any buildup with the relationship between Edge and Evie. More time was focused on the suspense than the romance. There's a lot of jaw dropping drama but I needed more romance.
Evie was going about her life until her roommate's bad choices catch up with him, knowing that the her life will either end in death or something worse than. She runs, finds herself in Cedar Valley and befriends the owner of a small diner. She is rebuilding her life, even though she is hiding who she is and she does not expect Edge. Her experience with bikers is horrific, but Edge who is a member of the Blackwings MC is different. His whole MC is completely different and as Edge gets close she finds herself trusting him. Can she reveal her secrets as the danger that surrounded her is closing in?
Another wonderful read by this author. I liked Edge and really liked Evie. Great chemistry, fascinating characters and I cannot wait to see what is next in this series.
Another smash hit from the amazing Teagan. This book with have you flipping the pages faster than you can even think about it cause that's how good it is. Evie needed to run and get away. When she has no more money to put gas in her car, she had no choice to stop in Cedar Valley. With having the evidence of abuse all over her Evie knew she needed to find a way to get a roof over her head and a job. When she meets Irene the owner of the dinner, she wasn't expect to meet Edge a member of the Blackwings. Having a bad history to motorcycle clubs, Evie was scared to get too close.what happens when Evie's past comes after her and the people she come to adore are collateral damage, does Evie do whatever to takes to keep those people safe?
This series packs a lot of action in the pages. We have Evie who is running from her father and brother after an insane encounter. She gets a job - no questions asked- early on with the nicest old lady in town who just happens to be the "mom" of one of the MC brothers Byte. As the story unfolds, her and Edge (another MC brother) develop feelings. He knows that she's hiding something but the need to keep her safe is strong. I love that no one really questions It, Byte is there to help Edge with anything he needs along with the rest of the club.
Evie's life takes an unexpected and scary turn thanks to her father. She's able to get away and ends up where she meets people who are not what she expected. Irene takes her under her wing. Edge takes a liking to her. I was a bit confused about Evie's age. At one point, it's mentioned she's around 33,I think, but she kinda acts like she's in her early to mid-20s. That's just my opinion. To me, once the action and drama started, that's when I felt the book picked up. Don't get me wrong, I did like this one. I just felt it was a little slow in the beginning. I'm hoping the next book will be about Dice.
Teagan is an amazing author that has created a wonderful world with the Blackwings MC. I have loved this series from the very first one. This edition with Edge is another 5 star banger. This one takes you on a wild ride and it’s worth the read.
I will forever be excited to see every member find their person. Edge and Evie are perfect for each other and Lord knows they went through some drama to be together. We all need the love of a good biker.
I liked Evie and Edge as characters. Their story was a quick read for me. It was a good balance of their relationship, her conflict, reacquainting us with the Blackwings, and making me want more stories about the next generation. I am especially hoping for stories for Raven and Blaze. I hope at least one of them ends up with a member of the MC. I was thankful for the name of characters in the front to refresh my memory on the Blackwings members and spouses, as well as their children. I love how the story ties into Byte and Gabby’s story and Irene’s diner.
I am giving this book 3 even though it was really good because something was seriously missing. There was plenty of nitty gritty MC action but… the love aspect was not what I was expecting. It wasn’t the all consuming, soul rendering love that I’ve grown used to from other MC books. The love was mild not hard core, I’ll die if you leave me kind of love. This is the 3rd one I read (yes, out of order 🤷🏼♀️) and I’ve felt this about all 3 books. No club whor3 drama at all, well, that’s because there are none. I did like that there was more story than s3x scenes.
We got surprised with this release and what a surprise it was! Evie is on the run and rolls into Cedar Valley on empty and has to stay. Irene’s Diner becomes her salvation. She finds a family in Irene and love with Edge. When danger comes calling Edge will do anything to save her. The side characters will keep you laughing.
I loved this story especially the 2 grumpy old men and 1 sassy diner owner.
When your on the run from a horrible situation and you literally stumble into a solution to your problem, you grab it with both hands. Irene was running a diner and had a sense of when someone needed her help. When Evie came in asking for a job wearing sunglasses that covered two black eyes. Irene not only gave her a job but also a temporary home. The next day Edge came to the diner and spotted the wounded waitress. He knew immediately he needed to protect her.
How did this book get such high ratings? The writing was mediocre. There really was no “love story”. The story itself was ok….but the relationship between the 2 main characters was dull. Never once did he tell her his real name was Jamie and then all of a sudden during a spicy scene she was calling him Jamie….I was confused for a quick minute. It was just not written very well. It had potential to be a good story but fell flat.
I like how friendship is important and how family is made when not of blood.
There are many stories I can see that may have already happened, but I haven't read yet ( so I will start looking) and the possibilities of stories I will look forward to.
I still love all the characters in these books but I will say this story line was extremely rushed and it felt like things jumped forward too fast. Maybe a little more internal thoughts and less dialogue at times would have also helped it flow more. The characters themselves were great, but the writing was just too quick for me.
I love the series and this story especially. The characters are easy to love. I enjoyed the plot, the character interactions, the MC dynamic and the love story as Edge and his lady work their way toward an HEA. Recommend the series and particularly this book. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.
An excellent read. I absolutely loved Edge and Evie’s story ❤️❤️❤️ plenty of chaos, danger and drama to keep you glued to the pages but under all that is their beautiful love story. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
This book has so much in it. The characters are great, the storyline is entertaining and there is action. Evie and Edge meet and have an immediate reaction to one another. Everyone can tell that Evie is running from someone. It doesn't take long for the bad someones that's after her to show up.
Teagan Brooks has been quiet for a bit. And surprise!!!! She comes out with this amaze balls book. We get to peek at everyone we love in the BlackWings. Its awesome. Edge was great!!!!!
It was ok. Definitely a shocker that it was a 20 year time jump. I vaguely remember a Jamie in Ember's book. I'm guessing Dice will be next, the realtor lady seemed to be set up to be the h?
Another fanastic blackwings mc by teagan edge and evie are perfect for each other and great to have the characters we fell in love with included cant wait for the next one and love it when teagan surprises us with new books
Another great book in the Blackwings series. Love the people, the comradery, and the fact that they are always there for each other. I hope to get more especially involving the kids!
I was totally hoping that Evie would be the one for Edge! It was a roller coaster of events - good, bad, scary and happy. I didn’t want to put it down! Fingers crossed that there could maybe be more from the Croftridge chapter! 💜
What a sweet intense book. Lots of family drama mixed evil. Eek. Edge is perfect. Loved him from the start. Evie so intensely mistreated. Irene and edge and the club saved her. Loved it.
I love this series. I hope this author releases more. I loved everything about it. The storyline, characters. This book is a page turner, wonderful characters, romantic, unpredictable.
This was another good read in the series. This is Edge's book. A young woman called Evie comes to town to start over and Edge is smitten straight away. Things come to light and her past catches up to her.
The first book of this new series was a struggle together get through. But this one was so sweet and flowed much better . I want a ranger and Irene book
Another winner in this series of books. Good characters and storyline along with lots of twists and turns plus action and suspense. Keeps your attention from the start.
