"A masterclass in sci-fi suspense that leaves you craving the next installment." Jordan McFadden Captain Galvin Quintos thought he'd seen it all, but nothing could have prepared him for the catastrophe that befalls USS Roosevelt. In the blink of an eye, the mighty omninought is reduced to a fractured hulk, leaving Quintos and his surviving crew stranded aboard little more than space wreckage Quintos re-christens, USS Resilience. With Earth under siege by the relentless Krygian Empire, Quintos must navigate a treacherous path through betrayal, desperation, and impossible odds. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance as the battered Resilience limps toward StarPoint Station, where a desperate plan unfolds to strike at the heart of the Krygian threat. Amidst exhilarating space battles that will leave readers breathless, Quintos leads a ragtag team of marines, civilians, and bio-mechanical Symbio-Poths in a last-ditch effort to turn the tide of war. From chaotic firefights in vast artificial landscapes to nerve-wracking stealth missions hunting the elusive Krygian Queen, every decision could mean the difference between salvation and extinction. As if commanding a crippled ship weren't enough, Quintos must also navigate a fragile alliance with the enigmatic Varapin and confront his unresolved feelings for XO Gail Pristy. With time running out and the Krygians closing in, Quintos must make impossible choices that will test his leadership, his humanity, and his very soul. Get ready for a pulse-pounding journey through the stars in this latest installment of the USS Hamilton Series. USSResilience thrusts readers into a desperate battle for survival where the line between hero and monster blurs, and the cost of victory may be too high to bear. Will Quintos and his crew find a way to save Earth, or will humanity's last hope crumble in the face of an implacable alien foe? Non-stop Action. Mark never disappoints. I've read lots of different sci-fi authors' books, and most use tons of filler. Not so with MWM. His USS Hamilton series books are nonstop action—mix that with irreverent humor and a touch of romance—and you've got one heck of a space opera. Looking forward to the next installment. - Bernie; Flawless Alien Invasion Romp! There are just the right amount of sub-plots that connect to the big plot in USS Resilience—Honor the Fallen. Mark McGinnis does a magnificent job of weaving it all together, making the book captivating to read. Captain Galvin Quintos, Hardy, and the rest of the central crew come alive on the page. I feel as if I'm watching an epic galactic empire flick, with the good guys facing insurmountable odds, but always coming out on top. Thank you, Mark—your books have provided me countless hours of entertainment. - VJ; Terrific Military SyFy. All I can say is WOW. My top three authors are Mark Wayne McGinnis, Craig Alanson, and BV Larson—in that order. Mark really delivers in his latest release, USS Resilience, Honor the Fallen. As a veteran, I appreciate the author's detail when it comes to military jargon. It shows he's done his homework and it shows respect. As an avid amazon reader I especially enjoy the multiple book series. For the last month I have been bored with my reading. Then this book appears and gets me excited about reading again. Absolutely great read
The Krygian Empire is a perfect foe to challenge Captain Galvin Quintos and his trusted crew. Of course, several curve balls increase the obstacles to the impossible level. But the Captain and his trusted crew continue to find ways to work miracles. The storyline is excellent, though many issues are left unresolved. We are left to wonder about the future for the Captain and his trusted crew. Possibly a USS Hamilton Book 12?
Make it a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and write faster, please and thank you. Love the cast and characters, love how they always find a way and never give up, love how everyone from elephants to simbos to regular crew are important, valuable, worth risking life and limb to save; no one gets left behind and everyone fight for more than themselves. Can’t put these books down. If you start you better buckle up as it’s a loss of gravity thrill ride every time!
Once again the captain Quinton is given the task to save humanity in a nail biting edge of your seat action. This book contains unexpected disasters, relentless action and character development. This is a new enemy so reading previous books is not required. If you like the previous books you will love this one.
This is an Outstanding Book in the USS HAMILTON Series. I found it it easy to follow & exciting. It was hard to put down even when going to bed. I cannot wait to see if there will be another in the series.
great read. only issue is the lack of knowledge of physics in space.
It’s a thrilling book. Hard to put it down. Except for the obvious lack of knowledge of physics in space all of the actions and components of the stories were believable and exciting.
This series has been excellent to read. The characters are "real" and the plot lines always have enought twists and laughs to make you want to read it straight through.
Wow! Another great journey. As always a lot is at stake. Have read all the books and this one has it all, groans, laughter and tears and of course non stop action. Can't wait for the next installment.
This series has held true to what it does and who it from book 1 through 11. Love the characters their growth seems natural but still the same wit and charm as when they assembled. Can’t wait for 12!
For 11 books ocular (eye) implants instead of auricular (ear). Get a dictionary - or a better editor. Returned to the (formulaic) well too many times for this one.
I thought that, having read all the previous books, there was a formula. Mark McGinnis managed to write a fresh space opera with heroism and even romance. Good job on this one. I just love the series.
Tell me the wicked Queen is dead. Outstanding and in a banged up derelict of ship held together with bubble gum and bailing wire. Thanks for a GoodRead.
