Thank you CS Silverne for the opportunity to read this debut as an ARC for you. I am happy I got the chance to do so!
This was such a fun little spicy age gap novella that I ate up very quickly.
Both main characters were so fun to read, their dynamic worked perfectly together. They both were obsessed with eachother but didn’t fully show it until things slowly unraveled during this encounter between them.
Phoebe was a brat and I loved it. She’s the club princess (her dad owns the club they’re at) and she’s the daughter of the motorcycle club leader who also happens to be Aeuro’s best friend.
Aeuro was so down bad for her and I love it. He tamed her and showed her that he wants her. He didn’t care that she was his best-friend’s daughter because he’s always been obsessed with her deep down.
I wanted so much more from this story, in a good way. I wanted a whole novel about them. Their backgrounds, their first meetings, the behind the scenes of everything and their feelings. I just wanted more and I hope we maybe will get more of them in future books.
Overall it was fast paced, fun, and spicy read and if you want a little something forbidden and spicy to add to your TBR then add this one!

Ugh, this age gap novella was everything I needed! Phoebe is the ultimate brat who has been testing Aureo's patience for far too long. The banter and sexual tension that builds between these two is palpable. I truly want more of their story.

This was a fun, spicy, quick, forbidden read that I devoured in one sitting, and honestly wish was longer. Whilst this is a novella, Silverne packs so much story into it, that it definitely doesn't feel like one. There's emotions and tension, three defined acts and just an overall great story, that ticks all the boxes if you love a short, spicy read filled with k!nks, delicious forbidden age gap goodness, and distinct Dom/sub dynamics.
Don't be dismayed when Silverne states that the plot is 80% spice - it's written in a way that isn't overwhelming, whilst still giving us a fantastic story of Phoebe and Aeuro. Who knew a spice scene drawn out over 40-odd (estimated) pages would be so intense, so fulfilling and so gratifying?
I loved that both Phoebe and Aeuro were both obsessed with each other, even if they didn't show it. The history between the two is strong and apparent, and I love that it took one night to break down the walls for them; for them to give in.
Phoebe, the club princess, is the definition of a brat, but I loved that she had these deeper elements to her - ones I wish in a longer book, we could explore more. Aeuro, Phoebe's father's best friend, is mysterious and when he threw all caution to the wind to tame his "little one"? It was explosive. Delicious. I absolutely ate it up and am not above begging Silverne for more.
A fantastic debut novella, and I cannot wait to read more in this series - and hopefully get a glimpse back at this couple in later books. Silverne is definitely on my radar now, and I'll eagerly await other stories from her.

Prideful Ache, by C.S. Silverne, is a beautifully written Novella that is book 1 of soon to be series full of Novellas. We see one night between Phoebe and Aeuro to get everything out of their system. But is it really that easy? *smirking* yea you’re gonna have to read to find out that answer.
The chemistry from Phoebe and Aeuro is pure fire! He has had feelings for a while, she just didn’t know it. She hasn’t noticed any sort of feelings from him until this night. So she makes the move. Sometimes being a brat pays off. She soon finds everything she’s been looking for but the doubt creeps in any way. You can’t keep something you were letting go of after one night.
I was smiling this whole time. Absolutely loved the dynamic and how this book ended. Im truly curious how the next book will describe the next deadly sin. How could I forget to say, these books are based off the seven deadly sins. Yea, so this series will be fire and amazing to see how each sin is depicted! Coming to you November 8th!!!

Quick spicy read
This was a very fast and spicy read. I rounded up to 4, but it was a 3.5 for me. It isn't advertised as a novella, but it literally takes place in the span of 24 hours for the most part. I'm more of a slow burn girly, so I like all that character development and wanting and angst to get me there. This could be turned until a full novel by doing that... actually discussing the pre - and post hookup storylines and conflicts. However, as a short read, it was pretty good. There were some cringe moments for me... like taboo age gap can be sexy but I want it to feel like they're both adults. This at times felt like there was some focus and calling her a little girl or being a child, and that makes it weird for me. Preference. Also...the inflicting pain belt choking stuff felt very dangerous to me....I know it's a story, but that level irresponsible play took me out of it. Seems like he was all about being a consent guy, but then he makes a comment about her needing to answer or he will take away the choice... then she tells him to stop, but he doesn't. So yeah....overall it was a sexy, spicy, fast, and enjoyable read that had potential to be a 4 star with some work or a 3.5 as is for what it is!

I’ve never devoured a novella so fast.
Phoebe is a spit-fire motorcycle club princess. Her dad’s the president, so she’s used to being protected, even when she craves pain.
Aeuro is older than Pheobe. He’s her dad friend. And he’s been eyeing, and thinking, of Phoebe for years. But he’s never crossed the line, he’s too prideful.
Just like she is. Phoebe is a classic brat thanks to her upbringing. She hands sass out like it’s candy and Aeuro, well, he has had it with her bullshit and is ready to claim what’s his. Her.
They spend a saucy, spicy as hell night together where lines are crossed and redrawn in the sand. I devoured this novella quickly and in one sitting. It’s a fast, easy read that captivated me from the first paragraph. It pulled me in, just like Aeuro and Pheobe pulled one another in closer and closer.

This was a great debut book from C.S. Silverne. I'm excited to see what she comes up with next in this series. I haven't read a good mask kink book in a while, so this was lovely to feast on.

They spend a saucy, spicy as hell night together where lines are crossed and redrawn in the sand. I devoured this novella quickly and in one sitting. It’s a fast, easy read that captivated me from the first paragraph. It pulled me in, just like Aeuro and Pheobe pulled one another in closer and closer.

This was a great debut book from C.S. Silverne. I'm excited to see what she comes up with next in this series. I haven't read a good mask kink book in a while, so this was lovely to feast on.

In the universe overview, Silverne mentions that each novella in this interconnected standalone series will have spice comprising 80% of the plot, which is delivered in Prideful Ache. While it may feature just one spicy scene, that scene dominates the novella! As with any dark romance or spice-heavy read, be sure to check the trigger warnings, as some themes may not suit every reader. This was a fun, spicy escape from my longer, heavier reads. I found myself wishing for more, as there seemed to be untold depth in Phoebe and Aureo's story. Without additional background, their relationship's rapid development felt a bit implausible, but we don't read these books for realism. 😂 🖤 I loved how their personalities meshed; Phoebe's sass drew Aureo in, yet he stood firm against her attitude—exactly what the spoiled princess needed.

What a spicy novella!!! I didn't know what to expect going into this short, little read but I was blown away. The writing style and descriptions were great and we had a solid story (with a whole lot of spice). I loved seeing the characters come together, the spice was top notch (I'll take a dirty talking, age gap, Dom/sub any day), and we get a little bit of character development.
There is just one spicy scene that takes place over a majority of the book but it was exceptionally well written and I was engaged and could not put it down!
It was so good that I do wish there was more and we would have been able to see a bit more of their backstory, others reactions once they found out, and how some of the side characters played in (maybe they'll be in future stories???). Because of how short it was, there isn't too much detail on the before and after, but you do get a rough idea of what's happening.
If you're looking for a quick read that gets your heart raising this is the novella for you!

Prideful Ache by C. S. Silverne is a spicy little novella following Phoebe, The Devils MC “princess,” and Aeuro, her dad’s best friend. Phoebe acts like a total sassy brat, while seeking control and craving ownership. Aeuro is deliciously commanding and dominant, and knows exactly what she needs to be tamed and how to give it to her. I loved seeing glimpses of his softer side as well. He is down bad for his bratty Phoebe.
The brat and brat taming dynamic was written so well. This theme can sometimes border on annoying and immature, especially with younger characters and age gaps, but Phoebe’s and Aeuro’s dynamic never felt that way for me. They were both testing their limits, teasing each other, and giving in to their desires along the way.
If you are need of a very spicy, quick read with bratty submission and taming and a bit of an unhinged commanding dom, do yourself a favor and read this.
I can’t wait to see what author C. S. Silverne has in store for us next! Thank you for the ARC opportunity!

This is so good. I was promised a book with “spice taking up 80% of the plot,” and baby, that’s what I got. This was so hot. Aeuro and Phoebe just slam together after years of mutual secret lusting, and it creates this terribly messy, beautiful partnership.
These characters are so good at egging each other on and even though they’re total jerks to each other, I think you can feel the respect and care they actually have for each other.
This is such a strong debut novella. I would be stoked if Phoebe and Aeuro ever got a full length novel of what comes after, but I’m way more excited to see what’s next for the Stormed Souls MC (please be Eros next. I fear I love him already).
I’m so eager for what the future holds for C. S. Silverne. I just know it’s going to be great.

This is an MC book with an age gap, but I think it's so much more than that, yes there is mention of the MC and mention of the age gap, but I saw it more of a accepting love story, it was a woman accepting who she was, accepting that she was a submissive and wanting to have a person to be submissive to, but more than anything she wanted it to be Aureo, which is amazing to know who you want and even better when that person can fulfill the role that you want and need. Aureo stayed away because of so many factors, but he was obsessed with Phoebe, and you can see it in each of his chapters just how much but even more in the epilogue. Aureo taking safe words, and much more to her,I really did like that he wanted to take her to her limits in a safe way.

Phoebe is a motorcycle club princess and she really wants a strong man to tame the brat inside her. She just never expected to find that her dad's best friend is up for the job of brat tamer. His name is Aeuro. He is 20 years older than her and it was just supposed to be for one night, although he knows one night will never quench his thirst for her. I love age gap, dad's best friend tropes. Phoebe and Aeuro have great chemistry and they are flirty and teasing with one another which adds to the s3xual tension. Even though this was a novella, the story and characters are very well developed, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. If you love a really spicy story with age gap and a d0m sub dynamic then I think you will love this one.

Short, spicy, and oh so dirty! This is an absolutely filthy and deliscous novella! This book had me at age gap, biker MC, and bratty behavior.
Loved the brattiness from Phoebe. She has been testing Aeuro’s patience until one day it finally snaps! The tension in this book you can feel; the push/pull between the two is incredible. Loved the chemistry between the two and how they have both hidden their feelings for one another behind masks of disinterest and disdain. The way Phoebe pushes Aeuro’s buttons is hilarious at times. Meanwhile, Aeuro lets her continue on because he has plans in store for her. 😈
This novella is mainly spice, but I sure as heck am not mad about it. Even during the spicy times we see glimpses into Aeuro and Phoebe; we see how they truly feel for one another and what their relationship over the years has evolved into. Such an amazing way to see the love/hate dynamic presented between our main characters.
