Jack Harrison is a successful competitive businessman, but he wasn't always like that. When he was a little boy he used to be carefree and kind spirited. But the change began when he was 10 and met the love of his life, Amelie, who was 8, at Camp Hope, a camp for children who had lost a parent.
Amelie is a free spirit who has always loved photography. Ever since she remembered herself she would be looking through a lens. She is a little bit crazy and adventurous and she dreams of traveling around and capturing the beauty of the world with her camera.
They start a friendship that lasts for years and they meet every summer at the camp, until the year that Jack turns seventeen and Amelie fifteen, when an incident changes everything for them. They go through a lot together, as years are rolling, wrapping them with love and loss, distance between them and other issues that they fight to overcome, but sometimes love may not be enough and fate may have other plans for them. The question is are they ready to fight with fate and overcome every obstacle in the way? Is their love going to be enough in the end?
I really really enjoyed this journey! I love friends to lovers and this certainly belongs on my top list. It had everything that I adore in this type of stories. Flashbacks, past & present, light and funny, but with some angst and drama as well. I didn't always agree with the actions that took place in the book, I didn't always support the decisions these characters took, , but I didn't love the book any less. If you want to avoid certain triggers though, you probably should read the spoiler above.
It was a really sweet read that progressed in time, watching the hero & the heroine going through age stages, kids, teenagers, students, adults. I really really loved that and I appreciated the character development. It was a wonderful, fun and emotional journey and I'm looking forward to reading more about them in the future.

I absolutely loved this book. Britney has done a fantastic job of this book. I was gripped from page one. The author certainly plays with your emotions in this book.
This is probably in my top ten favourite romantic stories of all time. Jack and Amelia met when they were eight and ten. Britney tells the story so wonderfully that you can feel these characters emotions. 1-click this fantastic book and read about their adventures.
I loved Britney's Bedrock series so much that I thought reading this would disappoint me as I didn't think she would beat Bedrock. I was so wrong. I can't even find the words to say how much I loved this book.

This book is about a boy and a girl, their names are Jack Harrison and Amelie Rose. They meet when Jack was just 10 and Amelie was 8. They were at Camp Hope, a camp for children who had lost a parent. To Jack she was just a pesky little girl at first but as he got older she became something more. When he was 16 and she was 14 all she wanted was for Jack to notice her as more than a friend. The next summer it was Jack who was trying to get her to notice him as more than a friend. They wind up going on a mini road trip. That trip starts it all. For the rest of their lives they seem to only find peace with each other but something always stops them from fully coming together. Will they ever be able to find peace completely whether it’s with each other or someone else?
I loved this book right from the beginning. There is such heart ache and love between them. The book is very emotional but in a good way. I got so wrapped up in the characters. I was pulling for them to be together. To just voice what they were feeling at the moment. At other times it was wonderfully happy. Somewhere With You is a standalone contemporary romance told in two parts, the first following the male lead Jack, and the second part, his love counterpart, Amelie.
The premise of this story drew me in immediately. The idea of two people from different walks of life, having experienced the loss of a parent at a young age coming together at a bereavement camp, each summer bringing with it a change in their relationship and then how they handled it all in the separations experienced after, a topic I feel was not something overdone.
You first meet Jack and Amelie at 10 and 8 years old respectively, and their first meeting was definitely not one for the ages, but definitely one that left behind an impression, and setting the stage for what I felt would be one hell of a love story. As they grew both physically and emotionally through their time together at this camp, eventually taking their friendship to the next level, it is hard for one not to become invested in these two having a happy ending.
Jack is the straighter laced of the two. He follows in his father’s footsteps and seems determined even from a young age to tow the line, but also not afraid to go after what he wants, even if it happens to be the complete opposite of the way he is.
Enter Amelie, who in the beginning seems to want to do right by him, even as young children. A girl who develops feelings toward Jack despite his complete lack of knowledge of it until the point is slammed home by others at the camp and long after she has shut down whatever it she thought she was feeling at the time. Moving on from him and becoming more of a free spirit than she may have already been.
After some back and forth, and some horrible situations that Amelie finds herself in, the two finally come together and for this reader, it just fits. Two people that in most instances shouldn’t work at all, for the most part just seem to and no matter what avenues their lives take from that moment on, they always manage to come back to each other, despite life throwing them curves and separating them.
This is where the book became quite a bit harder for me to get behind.
Life is messy and no life more so than young people that are dealing with loss and also with the feelings, sensations and all that comes with growing up. Maybe it’s because I became a mother at the ages of these characters that their choices seemed harder to take that I couldn’t get behind it, maybe it just didn’t feel right to me with the way I felt about them from the start, but I had a hard time with a good part of what came next in the story of their love.
What I couldn’t get behind most was the cheating. No they were not cheating on one another, at least Jack wasn’t. He stayed loyal to Amelie even in their times apart because he truly believed even at that age that he was in love with her, and even if all they could have is the somewhere together in the summer, it was enough as long as they kept in touch the way they had been. I can understand where Amelie came from since there had up until that point never been a moment where they sat down and defined their relationship, but it still hurt and felt unfair to Jack.
Which brings me to the marriage. While that alone didn’t seem to get to me nearly as much as it might normally have, Jack being engaged to another woman after all, the callous way he waited until after he had been with her romantically to tell her, along with the false promises and lies he made when he finally admitted that the right thing to do would be to end it with his fiancé, was a bitter pill to swallow.
They weren’t the people they were before, the love between them stopped feeling like love and it was hard after that to reconnect.
But what I did connect with the most, and what really resonates with me long after this book is done is the letters that Jack’s mom wrote to him before she died and the glimpses we as readers get to see of them. From a mother, reading another mother’s thoughts especially knowing that she wouldn’t be around to see him grow up, it touched me. The words were heavy and poignant and very, very moving. I like to think if his mother had lived she would be someone I would love to meet.
While there is a happy ending here, I just wasn’t feeling it as much as I wanted to, but what I did take away from my reading of this story is that love, while just as messy as life sometimes, wants what it wants and no matter how much you deny it, separate yourself from it, or try and build a life away from it because you think it’s what’s best, it will always come back around again, and this time last longer than a summer.
Also…one can find happiness love and light even if it starts in the most saddening of darkness.

Such a emotionally beautiful gut wrenching wonderful story of two people who lose a parent and grow up together, fall in love but whenever one is ready the other isn't. jack though is always ready he just is waiting for Amelie. Amelie grows a lot in this book. She breaks Jack's heart over and over again but he is still there. He is her rock. Fate and outside forces keep them apart physically but they are always in each other's thoughts and hearts. Their love and devotion to each other propels them in everything they do.
When we first meet jack he is so angry and selfish. Amelie helps him slowly resolve this and they become best of friends. Amelie is lost when she meets Jack and he is her compass. These two rely on each other for strength and courage. It is through one another that they find themselves and strength to face each day. jack falls for Amelie and this is steadfast in everything he does for the rest of his days. Even when she pushes him away Jack still holds out hope.
Over and over again Amelie breaks Jack's heart and he is still her rock. One time though when Amelie is in a dark place her mom intervenes and Jack is brought to the brink. He moves on but doesn't really. He finds comfort in someone and this is a mistake. When he finally sees Amelie again he still loves her and Amelie him but when they finally decide to be together and Jack goes home someone steps in and they are torn apart again. This time Amelie is torn up and makes the decision to walk away with the pushing of Jack's dad. Unbeknownst to both this turning point is also a breaking point for Jack. He sees evil in the worst way and he stays to try to make things better. But little does he know you can't, not when the other is broken to. Jack this whole time is still in love with Amelie and it shows in everything he does.
As life unfolds, Jack comes to some realizations and is finally set free to love wholly. The question is is it to late.
A beautifully written emotionally captivating story of love that grows and never dies as two friends come together first as friends, than as lovers as they fall apart through distance and are always there in each others thoughts and hearts. I really enjoyed this book. Loved the characters, the story, the beginning, middle, and ending.
I only wished there would have been more at the end about Jack and Amelie. I know it was a great ending, but still I wanted more. Guess you could say that I just didn't want it to end, lol.
I also wish that they wouldn't have waitied so damn long, but then again; it gave them both time to grow up, experience, and get there priorities together. Which finally after a damn lifetime they do.
They were a great couple together. So glad they realized that as well.
Please add a novela are something, we have to have more of them, and there together-ness, of course. No BS, just them and there great life here on out. Yep that would be GREATTTTTTT :))))

Wow!! Another 5 star read from Britney. This book is so different from her previous two. It was a beautiful love story. Jack and Amelie meet as children at a camp for children who have lost a parent. Throughout their young adulthood many things have prevented the two from trying to become a real coupl, bad timing, different career paths, etc. These two endure so much together and kept me on my toes throughout the book. I was rooting for their relationship but had my doubts more than once throughout the book. Can't wait to read more by this amazing author.

4 Flames for Hotness!
One of my favorite reads of the summer. I cannot express how much I loved this book. Fate sucks sometimes.
This book grabbed my in the prologue. I knew right then it was going to be an emotional journey and I was not wrong. Please have a box of tissues when you read this. I highlighted and bookmarked so much of this book I think I used all the memory on my kindle.
When I was reading this I could almost hear a narrator reading the story to me just like in a fairytale although, this is a fairytale of a different kind. Jack and Amelie take us on an emotional ride through their meeting at 10 and 8 to the end. Jack really pulled at me. His character is so tortured by the loss of his mother. I had a constant lump in my throat from the Jack and Amelies feelings. Amelie is a spark plug and Jack is her outlet. They love each other so deeply that they cannot be together. Jack is such a rock for Amelie throughout the entire story. Amelie eventually becomes this strong beautiful woman. Will the timing ever be right for them and their love? READ IT!
This book is so angsty. The angst was a different kind than the usual. It was not “Oh he doesn’t love me” kind. Their love for each other was strong and true from the beginning. Their life paths kept them from each other. My heart broke so many different times for each of them. I don’t was to spoil it for you. The letters from Jack’s mother were heart wrenchingly beautiful. I am still drying my tears. Even though we have such feelings of grief and loss in this story we also experience love, healing, acceptance and pure joy. I would consider this a modern day fairytale that deals with subjects of mental illness, suicide and abortion. I know doesn’t sound much like a fairytale but read this beautiful story and you see for yourself. I loved Jack’s comparison of Amelie and the carnival. It was so perfect.
Britney’s writing was amazing and flowed to the very last word. I would love more from Jack and Amelie future. I am so vested in these characters. They left me with a book hangover.
This is my first Britney King book and will not be my last. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!

Falls Review: 4.5 Glasses of Pinot and a box of kleenex
This is the first book that I have had to pleasure of reviewing of Britney Kings. Somewhere With You reminded me a lot of the book One Day (I actually loved the movie). I loved this book and the only reason I did not five it a 5 glass review was because of the ending. I started Somewhere With you around 2pm and finished it around 1am. It was one of those books that grabs your attention and you can't wait to find out what happens next.
Amelie Rose is a free spirit. She has one rule and that is there are no rules. She's a risk taker and a fly by the seat of your pants kind of kid. She loves her camera and takes it with her wherever she goes. When she looses her dad in a fatal car accident her mom thinks it would be a good idea to send her to Camp Hope. A bereavement camp for children who have lost loved ones. She quickly falls head over heels for Jack Harrison the older boy with a chip on his shoulder. As hard as Amelie tries Jack only sees her as a little sister or a "kid" as he has so graciously nicknamed her. Watching him from afar and wanting him to be her own Amelie must learn to accept the fact that she might never be what Jack wants. She is just not so sure she is ok with that.
Jack Harrison is stubborn, driven and carries a chip on his shoulder. He lost his mom to cancer when he was 9 and his dad, forever a business man, has always taught Jack that men don't show weakness. This is a book about love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is a popular verse about love. However Love is not always patient and it is most definitely not always kind. Love is jealous and it is weak. Love is easily angered and not always easily forgiven. Love is a journey and a test and is never stagnant but always moving, always changing. It grows and expands, shrinks and contracts. It beats strong and true and weak and thready. Love will make you feel like you can walk on water and in the next beat squeeze the life out of your soul. Love is beautiful and ugly.......if you find this kind of Love, this true brilliant, tortuous love then hold onto to it and don't let it get away. Fight for it and savor it and tell that love everyday how much it means to you.
I loved (no pun intended) this book. This book chronicles Amelie and Jacks life from when they meet at Camp Hope until they are Adults. How they come together and fall apart time after time. I fell hard and fast for Amelie and her tortured free spirit and Jack and his negativity on life and love. I honestly believe that you will learn something about yourself by reading this book. My only disappointment was the end. I have no idea if this story plans to continue. I really hope it does because the story did just that.......end. I give Somewhere With You 4.5 glasses of Pinot and a box of kleenex. If you are looking for a good read that has a little bit of everything then I highly recommend this book. Amelie and Jack are two people whose souls are so intricately intertwined that it’s hard not to believe they are soul mates. But do soul mates really find each other at the tender ages of 10 and 8? This story navigates the highs and lows of life with and without the one person who knows you perhaps better than you know yourself. While time and distance could not truly sever what they share, their relationship spans a number of years, adventures, and life events. Jack and Amelie’s relationship was intense and often times volatile. They experienced many firsts together over the course of time, but it was their first experiences with loss that bound them to each other.
Their relationship began at a camp for children who had suffered the loss of a loved one. Jack had lost his mother and Amelie had lost her father. It was the sixth summer together at camp when things drastically changed for these two. Jack was on the verge of being too old to come to camp and Amelie had become a promiscuous woman, much to his chagrin. A premature exit from camp that summer would setup the tumultuous journey for Jack and Amelie that would extend into adulthood.
A series of letters written by Jack’s mother before her death would serve as a guide for Jack in his adult years. While he refused to read them, he insisted that Amelie read them. The letters seemed to provide Jack the assurances and comforts only a mother can give at those times in his life when he would need them most. It was after one of the many goodbyes that Jack and Amelie would share, that the first letter would comfort Jack.

The lingering question you will have to see for yourself is whether or not that happily ever after will be together.

It broke my heart to watch these two walk away from each other time after time, knowing they were destined to be together. I wanted to shake some sense into both of them several times as they so casually entered and exited each other’s lives. While timing and circumstance were big factors, they were both so blinded by their own expectations they neglected to see what was standing right in front of them.
I loved that this story jumped around in time and provide a dual POV. It kept me engaged and I thoroughly enjoyed not knowing where the story was going next. There were several twists that both surprised me and brought me to tears. The letters from Jack’s mother were touching and added quite an emotional impact for me personally. I struggled with a couple or parts of the story that seemed out of place and made for a bit of a bumpy ride. Overall, the story was quite enjoyable. This was my first Britney King book but it will not be my last.

Don't you just love it when you read a book and it ends up completely taking you by surprise? "Somewhere With You" was like that for me. It was my first book by this author and I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was not disappointed. This truly was a lovely story that melted my heart and I enjoyed this book so much that I'd love to see it made into a film.
Somewhere With You follows the story of Amelie and Jack. The couple first met as kids during a summer camp where a friendship was formed. As the pair grew, so did their feelings for each other, changing from being purely platonic to something so much more.
Their story continued, spanning, many years, years filled with love, friendship and many missed opportunities. I loved reading this beautiful journey the couple took, both together and apart. Their story was just so delicious that I couldn't stop reading and by the time I'd finished it, I felt like I'd really gotten to know the characters well. I adored watching Amelie and Jack change throughout the years.
At the beginning of "Somewhere with You," I didn't really like Jack. He came across as a little arrogant for a ten year old. But as he grew so did my feelings for him and by the end of the book, I had fallen, hook, line and sinker in love! I loved how much he cared for Amelie. He truly became her rock, her soul mate.
Amelie was a happy, easy going kind of girl who was determined to live a fun filled and adventurous life. It was impossible not to take to her. She was just so lovable! However, there were moments where she frustrated the hell out of me, especially with some of her actions. But as the story progressed and things came to light, I found that I understood her more and the reasons behind her behaviour
I am looking forward to reading more from Britney King.

I just wanted to know what the future held for Amelie and Jack and I was gutted that I finished the story without ever knowing.

I just finished Somewhere With You and I liked it. It's one of those stories about love, forgiveness, and second chances. It's a heartfelt story that starts at a young friendship. Jack and Amelie experience loss. No one should have to go through that in life but that is exactly it....life. It's sad and tragic but it's comes with rewards if you look at it at a different angle. You cherish the memories and learn from them of those you lose. For Jack and Amelie it's hard for them because essentially they are alone in a world where it's not kind to them. But they have one another even if they do not want to acknowledge it. Once they do it becomes a beautiful love story. You just have to read to understand.
I really enjoyed this story. It was beautifully written. It was well thought out. It had some surprising moments for me that I wasn't expecting. Normally I read a few reviews to get an understanding and yes it is getting 5 and 4 stars but it wasn't giving me a lot to go on so I was skeptical. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jack is a very serious guy. He had to grow up pretty quick and he was angry at the world. I get that. He loses his mom to cancer and his dad ships him of to camp (camp for kids that had lost someone) where he doesn't know anybody. There are bullies everywhere but here walks in Amelie. She sticks up for him but being as young as he is doesn't take her help lightly her being a girl and all. But he cannot get her out of his mind. So camp every year ends up being a place he can go to be himself and see Amelie. She is such a free spirited girl. Total opposite from Jack. She lost her dad. The one person that made her feel special so I get why she acts the way she does. Jack and Amelia bring out the best and worse in themselves but they cannot be apart from one another. It always keep coming back to them. Never the right time. Will it ever be right?
Seriously, after finishing it I was on the fence. Things happened in the story that I wasn't happy with but at the end of the day when you think about all the good important things in the story, it made me realize that the things I didn't like didn't matter. It was still a beautifully written story that pulls at the heart strings in all different directions and to be honesty that's all that matters. I enjoyed it and would recommend to my girls.

I knew I would love this book , a journey of friendship turned love starting in childhood , yup yup , just my kind of story !! I loved how the story had both POV's and both past & present. It was always clear where we were in the story and I loved the flow of it. At first I did question where it was going because let's face it a 10 year old boy and an 8 year old girl that only see each other once a year may not really have a great story. They had the connection of losing a parent but Amelie had a weird way of showing her feelings towards Jack and after a few years he took it the wrong way. Jack did 1 horrible thing to Amelie and that spurred him into a year of working to right his wrong. At age 15 and 17 they end up leaving camp together and going on a road trip. Feelings come out and lines are crossed and from then on they become for each other the one who you always run to and love but the timing is never right.
I had more of a connection with Jack. I felt both of their pain and struggle but Jack melted my heart at times. He really laid his heart out there more than once to have it crushed. One of the major twists in the book shocked me so much and I really do not know why I did not see that coming. Amelie is very strange when it comes to Jack , she drove me crazy , I really just wanted her to give in and be what he wanted her to be. We follow them on their journey together and alone , sometimes years go by without word and Jack really does try to settle for what he thinks is right. Never being happy without Amelie. Amelie is always so busy shooting for her goals , which is great but it seems she never has much concern for Jack's feelings. When she finally breaks down and realizes she needs him with her it may just be too late...
How many times can Amelie leave Jack pleading for her to stay before he gives up ?? Will Amelie ever be able to be what Jack wants her to be ?? Will they finally lose touch and move on from one another ??
Grab this book and read their journey to find out for yourselves. I do not want to spoil the story. Just know it is a whirlwind and if Amelie does not drive you crazy you must be reading the wrong book !! This is a beautiful , heartbreaking yet heartwarming story of first love and true friendship that will pull at your heart and set you on fire !! This is a story about Jack Harrison and Amelia Rose. They are each other’s first love meeting at summer camp for children that have lost a parent. This is also about last loves and everything that comes in between.
At the age of 10, Jack loses his mother to cancer. Amelia, at the age of 8 loses her father in a car accident. The first time they meet is not your typical meeting, which is one thing I liked about this book. This is not your ordinary love story and is not all nice and neat. Life is messy and the author doesn’t shy away from showing us how life can take its own path.
Throughout the book we get to see Jack and Amelia coming to terms with life and loss, with hanging on and letting go, they learn that some bonds are meant to last. We see them travel the world, coming together and falling apart all while struggling to discern if the other could possibly be the one.
This wasn’t a book for me as much as the concept of the book drew me in. The author tells the story in 2 parts, with the first being in Jack’s mind as it is written in a 3rd person point of view and I am not a fan of this writing. I haven’t really fully decided if the second part is Amelie’s mind as there are plenty of going back to Jack’s so that was confusing as well.
I didn’t feel like I was able to really connect with the characters and several of the things that occur just don’t sit well with me. I can’t really explain them without spoilers.

To the potential reader do not wait on this one, it will amaze you!
This book had me hooked from the first chapter, the characters are so raw and gritty and REAL that you wanted to cheer for them at times and smack them in the next breath. Britney has created more than a story but really a beautiful portrayal of life. You can relate to these characters and what they are going through. I found myself pulling for them individually and separately wanting them to “figure it out” and then remorse when it falls apart because the emotion of how this relationship is toxic and necessary just jumps off the written page. I was about half way through the book and literally shouted out loud, oh come on man get it together! What is most amazing about this book besides the evolution of these characters and the resounding theme that loving someone is at times ugly and dirty and full of heartache and happiness you never lose sight of what is meant to be will be. I came into this thinking there was no way I would feel better about this book then Britney’s other books, The Bedrock Series, and although I feel some betrayal by typing this….I loved these guys more. You know it is an awesome read when you finish the book, put it down and feel like you want to cry, eat some ice cream and have had the wind knocked from your chest. Bravo Britney!

This book had me hooked from the first chapter, the characters are so raw and gritty and REAL that you wanted to cheer for them at times and smack them in the next breath. Britney has created more than a story but really a beautiful portrayal of life. You can relate to these characters and what they are going through. I found myself pulling for them individually and separately wanting them to “figure it out” and then remorse when it falls apart because the emotion of how this relationship is toxic and necessary just jumps off the written page. I was about half way through the book and literally shouted out loud, oh come on man get it together! What is most amazing about this book besides the evolution of these characters and the resounding theme that loving someone is at times ugly and dirty and full of heartache and happiness you never lose sight of what is meant to be will be. I came into this thinking there was no way I would feel better about this book then Britney’s other books, The Bedrock Series, and although I feel some betrayal by typing this….I loved these guys more. When I read the blurb for this book I was very intrigued, I love books with relationships that span from childhood into adulthood. Somewhere With You covers a lot of heavy, emotional issues and shows a very real side to relationships. Jack and Amelia couldn’t be two more different people. Jack is a successful business man with his whole future planned out. Amelia is a free-spirited photographer who goes with the flow and doesn’t know what city or even country she’ll be in next week. When this story begins Jack is ten and Amelia eight. They meet at camp and spend the next seven summers together developing a special relationship. As adults they continue to keep in contact, spending pockets of time together, sharing important milestones and falling in love. But for these two people the time is never right and it seems like life is always getting in the way. The sex in this book was fade to black so you don’t get much detail at all. Personally I wished there was more detail because I felt like I missed a large aspect of Jack and Amelia’s relationship. I’m not sure if it was because we only saw small snippets of each character over the span of many years, but I felt a bit of a disconnect with the characters, I never really felt fully invested. Overall this was a good read that kept me turning the pages wondering what was going to happen next.

This is definitely one of those stories that will stick with you for a while after you have finished it. The relationship, more like a ping-pong game, between Jack and Amelie is so frustrating and raw, it hits you right in the heart.
Jack is a no-nonsense person. He knows what he wants as an adult. And, most of the time, it's Amelie. As a teen, he is much the same, except it's harder for him to recognize.
Amelie is a free-spirit as an adult. She is more like a gypsy, never truly belonging with any one person or in any one place. She wants Jack, but just can't come to terms with what that means. As a teen, she loves Jack. But at the same time, if he isn't willing to give her what she wants, she will grab it where she can find it.
I wondered about Amelie throughout the book. The signs where there, if you knew what they meant. I did. I was right. Her resistance to not allowing her love for Jack to cloud her goals and other wants. Jack only has one thing on his mind. That is Amelie.
This story is more of love, loss, letting go, and re-welcoming what should have been. You could say that it's about timing, but really it isn't. It's about two kids growing up, trying to find their place in life, and finding out just how strong love can be. Over coming serious and heart breaking obstacles is part of being an adult. And it is something these two have to find a way to accept everything and move forward with or without one another.

What a lovely book! Amelia and Jack’s love is unlike any other. Although Amelia’s character isn’t my typical favourite type of female lead, she is very hard to dislike overall. This story will chronicle Jack and Amelie from childhood into adulthood.
As fate steps in they will learn to depend on each other in ways neither of them expected.
The will travel the world meeting in various places where they will come together and then fall apart all while trying to figure out if they are the one for each other.
Their unlikely love story will takes us on am unforgettable journey where two people come of age,fall in and out of love and question the role timing plays in it all.
Is love enough? Or is their story proof that neither time,distance or even death can destroy what love creates.
This is the first book I have read any ng by this author and I was hooked from page one.

Britney King has done it yet again for me. I don’t know how she does it, and makes a story and the characters seem real to me. Britney’s stories always touch my heart and every single time, they pull me in immediately. I couldn’t stop once I started, and there were so many times I got frustrated with both Amelie and Jack. These two will literally drive you insane some times. They met when they were kids at camp, and at first they didn’t exactly get along. But since that first meeting, they found themselves still drawn together and even throughout the years they would somehow find a way to see each other again. At one point in the book I did tear up because it was so heartbreaking! It never seemed to be the perfect time for either Amelie or Jack.
The best thing about this book is, it didn’t matter where Jack was or were Amelie was in the world. Even a part they found each other and they never forgot what it was to be together and just knowing you have that one person you can always count on no matter what, well that right there made me realize that it was okay for them not to be together at all times. I knew they would eventually find each other when they needed them most, it seemed to always work out that way with these two. I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next for Jack and Amelie. I know how they are, and I know it won’t be an easy journey for them. I highly recommend checking this book out, and I can promise you, you will not be disappointed!

This book. THIS book. I can’t even put into words how much I just fell in love with this story. Britney King did an absolute amazing job sharing Jack and Amelie’s love story with the readers. From the first page I was completely drawn in and didn’t want to put this book down.
Jack and Amelie meet at camp when they are young and over the years their connection grows deeper and deeper. But life! Life gets in the way.
I think the author did an amazing job switching between past and present and time jumping since this book takes place over at least two decades. Never did I feel lost or wish I was in the “present” when I was in past which usually happens to me when I read books spanning time.
Somewhere With You really brought out all the feels. I cried, I laughed and I bit my nails off wondering if Jack and Amelie were going to get a HEA!
This book is definitely going on my book ten list of books this year! I can’t recommend it enough! Britney King will be an automatic download for me from now on!

Jack Harrison meets Amelie Rose at Camp Hope, a bereavement camp for children who'd lost a parent. Jack has lost his mother to cancer and Amelie has lost her dad. Over the years they become friends and later on fall in love.
However, it seem like it's never a good time for them to be together. They each choose a path that separates them but they keep on coming back to each other.
The question is will they be together in the end?
Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I disliked Amelie. She didn't take Jack's love seriously half the time. She took him for granted and I think she decided she wanted him when she couldn't have him anymore.
I hid the spoilers with the main reasons why this book didn't work for me.

What a great book. I really enjoyed this one. It's different from anything I've been reading lately.
The story of Jack and Amelie spans of a number of years. This relationship is not an easy one to keep up with. This book is quite fast paced but it is well written so you don't miss anything.
Through the ups and downs of their relationship they learn a lot about themselves and each other.
There were moments when I really wanted to shake them both and there is mature themes in this book.
Britney has written a book that I'm sure a lot of people will relate to.
I love the cover and the characters, the only thing I'd love to see is a little more about what happened afterwards it ended a little abruptly for me, I love my epilogues!
It was also pretty cool to see my name in a book :)

I liked this story and I liked the characters, although I will admit I liked Jack more than Amelie. He seemed more committed to their love than she did.
I would recommend this book. It was a quick read that felt like a short vacation.

The story was a cool look on both jack point of view and Amelia's point of view. They both loved each other but never could be enough for each other. They loved each other but only Jack was the one that expressed his love.
This book offered sweetheart love, a bunch of world travel. Heartache, and even some sizzling sexy scenes. It was a bit slow for me but not every book can be the best. But the book did have a awesome story and it was beautiful even if it left me wondering what just happen. The end was quick and made me feel like it was a cliffhanger even know i don't think it was.

This is the first book I have read from Britney and I was not disappointed. It's so hard to put into words how I felt about his book. There were so many emotions that I went through while reading. At times I was so happy and other times I was so sad and then at times my heart just melted and tears just ran down my face. I really don't want to give spoilers but the story between Amelie and Jack is truly amazing. You get to see them when they first met at Camp Hope since they had both lost parents. Then there relationship grows together over the next several years. This is a very touching book in a lot of ways and at times I just sat here and cried from the emotions I could feel reading through the characters POVs. It's not always a happy road from these two they go through problems just like everyone else but I truly enjoyed this book very much. Make sure you read it .. you won't be disappointed at all!!!

I absolutely loved this book. It's one of those book about first love that you just can't put down. It's beautifully written, loved the way it started as memories and turned into the full past story where they meet and get to know each other and the second part of the book is the present.
Both have had it hard and you can really feel for them, their pain and heartache and the dilema they go through. It does contain a scene of cheating but for some reason it didn't bother me here.
It was a truely beautiful story showing love and friendship between a guy and a girl discovering their feelings for each other and all the bumps in their road, discovering themselves and growing up into adults.
So much happen to them seperatly that you just want them to be happy and find their long lost love.
I really do recommend this book, so touching and sweet mixed with some drama, lies, betrayal from loved ones.

Seldom do you find love stories as close to reality as this one. Our two characters have been friends since childhood. Their two personalities are as distinct and different as they can be. Yet, there is an attraction and a need to protect each other that is the foundation, and sometimes downfall, of this love affair.
The journey they both take into adulthood has them moving in opposite directions. I wondered if their love would ever be possible. It is like opposites occasionally merging in the middle, only to be separated again and again.
This was an emotional and illuminating book. It touched my heart to read this and realize that just like in real life, we end up prioritizing the wrong things. It takes a lot of maturity to change course in adulthood and re-prioritize your sense of values in order to find true happiness.
