Noel of Sin okay I know it’s a novella and meant to be short but come on this story was goood the plot was filled with so much anger, depth and basically every other emotion you can think of . So I really wish it was a full book with more answers and added scenes of the aftermath or even just more of the MC club.
Rook is the definition of the purple devil emoji - and you cannot convince me that he’s anything but the unhinged version of Mariah Carey obsessed with Ebony. Again I just want to emphasize that I’m pissed that this was a novella 😭 I wanted to know way more about his back story and life and how the fuck he is doing what he’s doing - like did he go to school and learn to be a hacker on the side? Also what happened to their parents how is rook even allowed to be apart of the club in another sanction if his dad was the known enemy before- I feel like with what I know from mc clubs none of this would’ve been remotely allowed / I might be just over analyzing because I know way too much about criminal life and such lol so just ignore my rambling about that, cause I’m not actually an expert on mc clubs 😂
Anywho … What kind of name is Ebony - I could not get past it and she was hot af and very enjoyable but whenever her name was dropped I cringed and it snapped my heart eyes for her right out. I did like her personality though and the frying pan killed me 10/10 for retribution.
Okay now for the nicknames and pet names used.. I am fully aware that it was a purposeful use of step sibling taboo - but could we lay off the little sister and big brother terms being dropped like fricken confetti at every intimate moment - I’d be engulfed in the scene and totally moving past that their parents are together and then BAMN “suck it down like you like the taste of your big brothers …….. -“ you get the gist. Needless to say I didn’t like the names used at all 🌝
This novella is also 85% straight up raunchy smut - like the kind that make you clutch your kindle and quickly side eye to make sure no one saw you read that.
all this being said, did any of it deter me from devouring this? Hell no! I damn well wish there was more to the story!
3.8/5
This review is straight of for @Honestly, yeah - who has been hounding me to share my reviews on my reads lmfao - sorry it took so long 😂
Read the triggers 100% - if your not into butt stuff and taboo step siblings don’t even try to crack this bad boy open

Where to start, yes, the beginning would be a good idea, I quite agree 🤭 Jodie says there’s not a lot of plot, just pure smut…isn’t that what Christmas novellas are all about 🌶️
In actual fact there is a backstory, there is a present story too which revolves around their family ties and what is expected. Our FMC Ebony, is to all intent and purpose her fathers’ princess except she really isn’t, in more ways than just being a naughty little bunny! She has been brought up to be used as a business transaction. That’s not to say she isn’t strong willed, it’s there, it just needs a push.
Our MMC Rook, on the other hand is, darkness incarnate, his obsession with his step sister is noticeable and causes the family’s loss of a relationship for two years until he comes back for the Christmas Party and his sweet revenge…
I literally scoffed this story down, if I hadn’t got to leave the house I would have finished it far sooner. The spice is just the relish we all savour at smutmas, this is on an even keel with it in snow buckets full ❄️🥶🧊 Loved it, one of those reads you can let avalanche over you and smother you in the icy snow 😉🫦
"She thinks she can flee, but the truth’s always near— Bunnies don’t escape when the plague is so near"

If you haven't read Jodie King, are you actually living or just surviving? Duh??
She is a smut mother and she proved it over and over again.
I mean this book was absolutely perfect for a Christmas read and dark romance lovers. And Yes Christmas came early to me.. 😏😏 Rook as well. 🥵
🖤🖤What to we have to serve here🖤🖤
Rook, a perfect dream dark, unhinged man, with Pierced d**k, massive hands with tattoos and Ouija, his pet snake.. you read it right, snake.
This man will do nothing, he will just sit on the barstool and make you go spinning for him. 🫠🫠
Ebony, a naive girl who is now wearing her pain as an armor and she is wants forbidden. She has the fire but she kept it hidden but the moment she let it out , we get a perfect and amazing book.😏😏
Rook and Ebony, so perfect and impressively written. Teb passion between them still they are chained, they know what they desire is forbidden but yet they gave in and had something beautiful..
So many obstacles are there.. but When Rook is here, you know what, someone is going to d*e tonight.
This year, I read so many books of Jodie and it could have never been this better. I love her books and the way she makes them look so deliciously insane.
This book is another gem from her. I can't to read more and more of her books.

If you’re looking for a novella that’s quick, smutty, and brimming with taboo allure, this book is the perfect pick! This book is filled with a mix of darkness and spice, proving once again that Jodie King is a master of weaving captivating, forbidden romance and darkness!
Set during Christmas Eve, this book brings a festive yet sinful read, and boy, let me tell you that I couldn't put it down! However, don’t let the holiday vibes fool you. This book is just as enjoyable any time of year.
This novella is just wonderful and the pacing. Oh my goodness, there is never a dull moment. Jodie King’s ability to write dark, tantalizing stories truly shines, and this novella is a standout addition to her repertoire. I swear there is nothing that she could write that I wouldn't like, haha. I would read her shopping list at this point!
Whether you’re a fan of holiday reads, taboo romances, or simply crave a quick and spicy escape, Noel of Sin has it all. Highly recommended for readers who love darkness with their romance.
My only complaint about this book is that it ended too soon! I need more of Rook and Ebony! I absolutely loved it. The heartbreak, the yearning, and the spicy moments were incredible. The scene with the plague doctor mask was unexpectedly captivating and became a highlight for me. It was so entertaining, and while I’m sad it’s over, I’m thrilled Rook and Ebony ended up together, just as they should.
Read this as an ARC read & was so excited, as Jodie King has rapidly become one of my favourite Dark Romance Authors. This was fast paced, more smut than plot but boy was it Spicyyyyy😏🔥
I loved Rook & Ebony’s forbidden taboo romance. His obsession with her & possessiveness over any guy that got close. He is Morally black & gives no f*cks who he has to 🔪 to make Eb happy.
He’s confident on his feelings for her from the start & is determined to get her to admit her feelings too. Despite her father’s extreme disapproval. Would love to see a 2nd book to see how their story ends. 😏
“In her mind, there’s always someone better—prettier, smarter, louder. Someone more deserving. But not to me. To me, she’s f*cking flawless.”
“You were my sister before you were anything else. And I’ll always be the person you f*cking need. You don’t always have to be flawless, Bunny. You don’t have to always be perfect—to be perfect to me.”
“Now crawl to me, little sister. Ride my mask while I f*ck your 🍑 with this icicle.”
This book was 5/5 stars and a quick read for me. I finished it in one setting and highly recommended it. The dual point of views were perfect allowing me to see each character’s true feelings. I devoured the obsession both Ebony and Rook have with each other. These non-blood related step sister and step brother have a forbidden love while living in this unlawful world created by their parents. The connection between these two is feral with lust and the intimate passionate moments immediately start but don’t end! This is a good Holiday dark romance that does just the perfect job for any dark romance reader of keeping you hooked. I give this book 5/5 stars and loved it. As always take your mental health seriously and I recommend that you read the trigger warnings. Jodie is very thorough with her warnings and gives the reader every opportunity to know what’s with the pages she writes. I personally dont have any so I just read.
Genre/Trope: Step-Sibling Romance Book Type: Standalone Book Length: Novella POV: Alternating Dual Setting: Boston at Christmastime Male MC: Rook is Ebony’s stepbrother and grew up protecting and loving her his whole life. Rook is in his early 20s and has dark brown hair and light green eyes. Female MC: Ebony is the daughter of a powerful president of a notorious MC. Her father is a tyrant and controls her every move. Ebony is 2 years younger than Rook and has long black hair and blue eyes. Endearment: Bunny Spice Level: High Frequency of Spice: High Angst Level: High Cliffhanger: No, but not totally resolved either. HFN. My Review: I loved this story so much and I hope these characters get another book expanding and continuing their story. Rook and Ebony are pure fire and their connection is so intense; I could read about them forever! It’s a novella, but man did I feel completely invested and didn’t want it to end. So spicy and raw but super passionate and beautiful as well. Please give us more Rook and Bunny!
Oooof. This dark little number has everything we want in a Christmas novella… Low plot, HIGH spice, masks, snowy chase scenes and the inappropriate use of Christmas decor. This one is technically “taboo” with the step sister situation but Little Stranger is one of my faves, so obviously that doesn’t bother me. Highly recommend if you want a quick and spicy little treat this Christmas 🖤 There’s also really pretty chapter art.
I read a lot of taboo and a lot of smut, so trust me when I say this was amazing. 🤩 Jodie does not only does breathtaking stories and fucked up smut but she can also deliver stunning and empowering FMC’S within her books that make people with trauma feel renewed and refreshed. 🥰 Now this was not very Christmasy 😆 but let’s be real, we don’t read if for that. J didn’t even get cold at all😆😉but if you looking for warmth, you must read it!!! Available Today,!!
Sometimes, I do truly think WTF am I reading? Taboo, unhinged, boundaries crossed... just what you would expect from Jodie. If you enjoyed Malachi (little stranger), Rook is another level! This man's obsession is all-consuming, and boy, does he let her know he owns his little sis! Excellent read, plenty of triggers so please check before reading. Highly recommend if you are as invested in taboo reads as I am.
I devoured Rook and Ebony's story, a deliciously sinful holiday treat! With minimal plot and plenty of smut, it's reminiscent of Little Stranger in some ways, but uniquely its own. This morally ambiguous read comes with a warning: explicit triggers ahead! But trust me, it's worth the thrill. Indulge at your own risk and enjoy the toe-curling experience this holiday season!
Jodie said this book was going to be pure smut with no storyline but it didn’t feel like it. I loved reading about Rook and Ebony, their story broke my heart a little bit and I need more.
The smut did not disappoint, sometimes we all need a kinky lil taboo story to make it through the day 😏
Rook and Ebony are 💋 absolute perfection so Jodie please write more of their story 🙏
This was a fast Christmas read with a lot of spice. I love Rook and Ebony and their forbidden step sibling love. I was hoping for a little stabby stabby with Blaise. It was a great read VERY spicy!
Short, deliciously indulgent Christmas spice. Ebony and Rook are the epitome of taboo done right. He’s gloriously unhinged, she’s all simmering yearning and restraint, and the tension snaps beautifully.
I only wish this had been a full length MC romance because I would have devoured every sinful page. 😈🏍️🔥
I will never look at Christmas ornaments or icicles the same way. 😂 I devoured this book so fast! Need a Christmas novella that actually has a plot but also rocks your world? This. Is. It. Ebony has always had to be perfect in the public’s eye. Daughter to a man who expects her to do as she is told. But what she wants and hides from everyone are the dark desires coursing through her for only one man. Rook is the older step brother who watched Ebony grow up, always her protective shadow. But one night 2 years ago, the dynamic changed. Events escalated, tore his heart out and cast him away. But now he is back for one night. Let me just tell you, you need this book in your life!
Something about an unhinged stepbrother trope gets me every time! Add in a smutty Christmas vibe and I’m hooked. Doing unspeakable things with ornaments and icicles makes for a perfect novella.
Another masterpiece from this author. This story hooked me in right away and I couldn’t get enough of it. You have forbidden tropes, MC club, possessive MMC & a masked MMC! Some of my favorite tropes all wrapped up in this one novella. I would love to see more of these characters in the future! Ebony & Rook were 🔥 together, and that scene with the mask!!!!! (IYKYK) 10/10 read for me!
i don’t know what you put into your mmcs but Rook is no exception. This book had me HOOKED, The 🌶️ was insane ( i loved every second ) i absolutely loved how obsessive Rook was towards Ebony and how they felt towards each other. The taboo of it as always was amazing, if i had to choose a favourite moment i’d say it was definitely the mask scene in the woods 🫠🫠 … book 2 next christmas???? This was honestly an amazing christmas themed novella, perfectly twisted and f*cked for all the depraved girlies.

There’s so much to say about this book. While the subject matter is definitely taboo and not my usual favorite, my twisted brain saw it was by Jodie King, and I had to read it. And let me tell you—she did an amazing job with this story. I fell in love with the characters and couldn’t put the book down, which speaks volumes about Jodie’s creativity and how gripping this novella is.
Although it’s a quick read, it was so well-done. The descriptions never faltered, allowing you to clearly picture the scenes in your head. The Christmas setting and the fact that all the events took place on Christmas Eve added so much more depth to the story.
Ebony, aka Bunny, was such a great character. She showed her love in her own way, always doing what she felt was right, even though the guilt weighed heavily on her. I loved how stubborn she was—she needed to figure things out for herself. I think I squealed when she finally understood what she wanted and admitted her true goal.
Rook, aka The Plague, was strong-headed right from the beginning. His dominance oozed off the pages as he pursued what he wanted, caring little about what stood in his way. His sick, twisted desires simmered throughout the story, waiting to be fulfilled.
Although Ebony and Rook are step-siblings, their love and their journey were incredible. Despite the novella’s brevity, there was so much depth in their story, and I found myself wishing for more to explore. The ending struck the perfect balance—it was happy yet left open, satisfying while still leaving you hungry for more.
I’m so glad I didn’t shy away from this book. I would recommend reading the trigger warnings first, but if you’re able to move past those, this is such a great read. Without a doubt, this is a novella that belongs on Santa’s naughty list. Wrap Noel of Sin in your stocking because it’s a Christmas story you won’t forget—or want to forget—anytime soon. Now, be a good girl and go buy it! ❄️
Ebony and Rook are step-siblings. But thy have always felt like more than that. It’s Christmas time and Ebony is on her way to her family’s annual Christmas party hoping that Rook isn’t there but secretly wishing he was. It’s been a few years since they’ve seen each other … after the incident where she was forced to choose… Rook’s life or him.
When she sees him again at this party, he’s no longer the lovesick teenage boy. No. He’s 100% all man. Brooding, dressed in black, tatted up, and a black pet snake named Ouija. Obviously their chemistry is still there, they can’t keep their eyes off each other. But can they manage to keep away like her father wants them to? Or will Rook finally succumb to the fact that he can’t let go of her and make her his. Regardless of what her father says?
I actually really enjoyed this fantastically filthy dark Christmas novella. While it was smut heavy, I do think we got a good backstory about Rook & Ebony. The dual POV and the past/present timeline, helped elevate the story. Ebony & Rook are brought together after Rook’s mother marries Ebony’s father who just so happens to be the head of the rival MC gang. I devoured this book in one sitting it was just that good. I loved that Rook called her “Bunny” because he said her name sounded like “E-Bunnny” just thought that was the cutest. Their obsession with each other was incredible and everything that took place in (and out) of the van? OH MY GOD!!!! A cane wrapped in Christmas lights? okay miss Jodi King!! I see what you did there. Really great story to add to your Christmas tbr. While it is not all Christmas focused, it centers around the present Christmas and the past Christmas. And some of the props used in the story were *highly* Christmas themed.. wink wink. Highly recommend.
A terrific short spicy taboo Christmas story with questionable use of Christmas tree ornaments and riding a plague mask. Superb!
I loved Rook, he is passionate, violent and his sanity is questionable. He’s always loved her more than a sister. She’s perfection and made just for him. The tenderness that he ONLY expressed for her, ugh, make me melt.
Ebony tries her best to be what her parents want from her. Even if it means giving up the love of her life. She knows it’s “wrong” to have these feeling for Rook, but she can’t deny them.
Rook and Ebony love each other so much that they are willing to give everything up for the other. That just looks different for each one of them. Rook wanted them together years ago, not caring what anyone thinks. Ebony wanted to be with him too, but her father was ABSOLUTELY against it. She pushed Rook away for his own safety. It was the most painful thing she’s ever done. But he would still be alive, even if he wasn’t with her. At least he was alive and still in this world.
Spicy winter chase scene with a plague mask and cane wrapped in Christmas lights, didn’t know I needed that, but now I do.
Quotes:
Ebony isn’t just my sister. She’s my goddamn soulmate. She always has been. She always fucking will be.
One, two, the plague is coming for you. Three, four, you better run, you whore.
Five, six, you’re gonna take my dick.
Seven, eight, I know you cannot wait.
Nine, ten, I’m gonna make you come again.”
It doesn’t matter that I could be getting frostbite, or that I’m riding my big brother’s 🍆 in the snowy woods on Christmas Eve. All that matters is the way he fills me, the way he consumes me, the way I keep coming back for more.
First and foremost, what a way to close out the year!!! Bravo Jodie! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was supposed to be a no plot all smut story but let me tell you, IT Gave everything! Backstory✅, smut✅, forbidden love✅, sinful deliciousness🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️!
This story is about about two souls connected in every way imaginable, but they are forbidden to each other!
Ebony- the sweet and perfect, do as your told, small and look pretty MC prinxess, but is she? She doesn't stand up for herself and tries to be the prefect princess for the family. She hides her dark desire for her step-brother, the one she shouldn't want but can't resist; however, when she finally caves, it destroys their little family and once again she doesn't fight for what's in her heart.
Rook - is the epitome of the devil reincarnated. He is obsessed with his step sister and will stop at nothing to have her! Having been banned from the family for crossing the line with his step sister forn two years, it leaves him a lot of time to plot of sinfully sweet revenge! And oh how utterly diabolical it is! When that time comes, it puts some things into perspective for sweet ebony!
I devoured this story! I could not put it down! Jodie’s word choice, characters, scene descriptions made me feel like I was right there on the sidelines watching the action! It latched onto my soul and wouldn't let go!!! The icicles, the chains, the snow, the ornament and stolen moments took the smut to a chilly ❄️🥶🧊level (although it was definitely scorching hot🔥 and I was here for it all)! I absolutely loved each and every dark, depraved, utterly sinful minute of this story!
