Holland Bradley is the golf world’s golden boy. Confident and charismatic, when his agent lands him the starring role on Most Eligible Mister, the nation’s longest running reality TV dating show, he doesn’t hesitate. A chance to find love by dating twenty beautiful women and bringing more attention to the sport he loves, while also curing him of the tiny crush he has on his coach? Sounds like a hole in one.
A woman in a male-dominated field, golf coach Mallory Walsh doesn’t have the luxury of sharing Holland’s cavalier attitude. But she’s a pro, so she can set her personal disdain for him aside and keep coaching Holland to tournament victories. The more he wins, the more she’s paid, and the more she can help her parents with their mounting medical bills. Holland’s role on Most Eligible Mister is a distraction he—and she—can’t afford…until one of the show’s producers offers Mallory good money to sign on as a contestant.
Holland and Mallory are whisked away to Cashmere Cove, where a scheming, hometown community is intent on “helping” them fall in love and fame-hungry contestants are determined to keep them apart. The player and coach pair make a pact to keep things professional, but soon the pressure cooker situation has them teaming up to survive. As Holland relies on Mallory for support in dealing with past trauma, and Mallory discovers a good listener and fierce advocate beneath Holland’s flashy façade, everything changes. Can the pair come out on top, or is any real relationship between them as unlikely as an albatross?
Because pros don’t fall in love…do they?
(Pros Don't is the fourth book in the Fall In Love series, which follows different couples as they find love in the small town of Cashmere Cove, Wisconsin. This is a closed door romcom with plenty of sizzling chemistry and romantic tension, but no spice. Pros Don't is a standalone title but it's best enjoyed after reading Friends Don't, Enemies Don't, and Exes Don't.)

I LOVED Holland and Mallory’s story so much! Their banter was everything 🙌 I also loved being back in Cashmere Cove. It is absolutely dreamy - are you kidding me with Daisy’s Inn?! This entire story had me wooed!
Let me start by saying that I really liked Holland and Mallory and I loved the pro golfer/coach angle. Initially I was loving this book, but around half way, I realized that it wasn’t going to be what I was hoping for. Holland takes part in a dating show because he wants to find a life partner even though he already has feelings for Mallory, his coach. So when Mallory becomes a contestant on the show because she needs money to care for her ailing mom, I was excited to see where it went. I was excited to see how the tension between Holland and Mallory grew as he dated other people and she hopefully realized she had feelings… but, it didn’t really happen that way. Holland kind of went on dates with other women and complained about them. He wasn’t interested in anyone except Mallory the entire time. Not even a little. I found myself wondering what the point of the dating show angle even was. Holland didn’t want to be there, Mallory didn’t want to be there and most of the book was those two hanging out away from the cameras anyway. It seemed like the main plot point actually had zero to do with the story. The only thing the “dating show” storyline added was to make it out like “Mallory was not like other girls and other girls are just vapid, flirty and desperate.” There was no other point and it was annoying.
Also, I think more than half the book was just repeating “She’s my coach” or “I’m his coach” or “He’s my boss” or “I’m her boss” or “I can’t get involved with him” over and over and over again. It got to be obnoxiously repetitive and the plot just kind of stalled for the entire middle half of the book.
Overall, I liked these characters and I enjoyed their dynamic, but everything surrounding their relationship did absolutely nothing to make their story interesting or believable. I felt like I wanted to keep Holland and Mallory but throw literally everything else out. This had potential, but the execution wasn’t great IMO.
CONTENT -🤬: minimal mild language (3 h) -❤️: make outs -⚠️: panic attacks (on page), attempted sexual assault
This was exactly what I needed! I love the Fall in Love series, and Pros Don't was an excellent addition to it. It was so nice to see Holland get his redemption story.
I would never want to be on a reality TV show personally, but it was fun to have that as the background to this story. It really forced Mallory to see Holland in a new light. The forced proximity and stolen moments were delectable.
I appreciated their communication and how they both opened up to each other, and I LOVED the ways they helped each other in vulnerable moments—panic attacks and attempted assault are no small things, but they had each other's backs.
If you haven't visited the fictional town of Cashmere Cove, I HIGHLY recommend it!
Favorite Quotes: -“Because you refuse to see the good in anything…or should I say anybody.” “I see plenty of good in plenty of bodies…just not yours.” “The sooner you quit pretending you don’t like this body, the better for all of us.”
-I’ve taken the Gilbert Blythe approach to my relationship with Mallory. She hates my guts. I know she’ll never be mine, so if getting a rise out of her is all I’ll ever get, that’s what I’m going for.
-I’m in the Most Eligible Mister mansion, and I want to be literally anywhere else. Send me to the center of a hurricane. The south pole in the dead of winter. The DMV. Anywhere but here.
-Are we hate-kissing right now? Does Mallory hate me? I hope not, because I’m into this. But if I’m being honest, I’d also like to explore other kinds of kisses with her. Like the slow kind. The kind that’ll allow me to explore every inch of her mouth. The kind with nips and presses that draw out content sighs and make her lean in for more. What I’m saying is I want to kiss her like this and a million other ways too. So, if we’re battling for position here, I will gladly surrender. She can take me. She can have the victory. As long as I can have her.
-Acknowledge the overwhelm. But remember, it doesn’t own you. You are more.
-What the heck was that in there? Why was my body going all haywire at the mere brush of a phalange? It’s not right.
-Don’t ever let anyone steal your voice. You’re allowed to live out loud.
-"Could you get hurt again? Sure. But you can’t spend your life living in that place. That place of fear. Because that’s not living at all.”
-I probably look nonchalant right now. But I promise you, with the rate my heart is racing, I’m the opposite. I’m full of chalant.
-"For the past two years, out on the golf course, you’ve been the voice in my head. Now, even more than that, you’re the voice in my heart.”
-“I hope you’ll feel safe enough around me to let yourself burn freely,” he whispers. “Don’t hold yourself back with me, okay?”
-“Oh, sweetie. Here’s the thing. As soon as you can shift your perspective from ‘why me?’ to ‘where’s the good in this?’ the world becomes a much more joyful place, no matter your circumstances.”
Once again, Leah Dobrinska does not disappoint. This is the perfect ending to the Fall in Love series, as well as the perfect redemption story for Holland. I just devoured the first 90%, then because I didn't want it to end, I made the last 10% last as long as I possibly could.
Having met Holland back in the first book of the series, Friends Don't, I came into this book with an idea of who he was and a hope for his character development, and this story blew my expectations out of the water. I cannot get enough of Holland Bradley. He's cocky and insufferable, and sweet and genuine, and flirty and protective, and self-conscious and kind. And he has certainly met his match in Mallory. She's fierce, confident, supportive, and caring, and she certainly holds her own with Holland. She has to learn to be vulnerable and let people see the real her, and Holland is the perfect man to help her do that.
They are so very good together, both on the golf course and in life. They bring the best out in each other, their chemistry and banter is perfection, and they are so achingly gentle with one another. They both have their own personal healing journey and the way they walk those journeys out together is just wonderful. From their first kiss to the pie eating contest to the treehouse scene, their path to each other is the most delectable slow burn. And the notes they'd write each other and the entire chapter of texts between them had me giddy.
I have loved the Cashmere Cove community for a while now, so I enjoyed getting to spend more time with characters I already know and love, as well as getting to know new community members.
Thank you so much, Leah, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am a little bit heartbroken that this series is over, but I am extremely ready for the River Foxes! All opinions are my own.
Oh my goodness, I LOVED Pros Don’t! And that’s saying something, because I wasn’t even a Holland fan in Friends Don’t—sorry, Leah! But this book? A perfect hole-in-one.
The dynamic between Holland and Mallory was everything: watching their relationship shift from professional, to friends, to something more was such a treat. Mallory slowly letting her walls down and learning to trust Holland was so precious, and seeing Holland open up about his own struggles added a beautiful depth to the story.
The banter? Perfection. Holland trying to get Mallory to crack her professional facade was hilarious and heart-melting all at once. This was the redemption arc I didn’t know I needed for Holland, and Leah absolutely nailed it. Both characters were layered and real, and I truly enjoyed every moment.
I’m sad to say goodbye to Cashmere Cove, but I will happily read anything Leah Dobrinska writes!
Favorite parts: Mini golf The treehouse Anne of Green Gables references Meeting the sisters + the family dinner Bouquets of flowers The text messages!
Thanks to the author for an advanced copy of the ebook. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and a positive review was not required.
This book is cuteness on top of cuteness!! I couldn’t wait for Holland’s story and it didn’t disappoint in the least! Holland and Mallory were on fire, yall!
The dating tv show was a fun twist! I loved the forced proximity and all the elements it brought to the book. There were definitely some gals I wanted to give a piece of my mind to!
Holland stole my heart! He had so many layers that made him one of the sweetest MMC’s I’ve ever read. I loved how he kept surprising Mallory at every turn, especially when she thought she had him all figured out. When she actually got to see him for who he truly is, let’s just say…she fell hard.
Mallory was a spitfire! She held nothing back and was a very determined FMC. I loved her spunk and wit! The banter between her and Holland had me in stitches! They brought the heat, let me tell you! *hint….that hate kiss…have a fan handy! *
I LOVED all the Gilbert references! This book was a dream for all Anne and Gilbert fans! Holland will have you in a puddle! He’s definitely a romantic who knows how to do romance right!
This love story is one that’s well worth that wait! It truly has everything you could want and more!! I can’t recommend this book and series enough!!! They’re all just incredible!!
Things I Adored: ⛳️Gilbert Blythe reference 💋The sweatshirt ⛳️The pantry scene 💋The banter ⛳️HATE KISS!!!! 💋He takes care of her ⛳️Pinky brushes 💋The lap incident ⛳️The Photo Booth 💋All the pie! ⛳️Kiss in the rain 💋The tree house ⛳️He reads to her 💋Gilbert refs
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love that Holland got his own story! Holland and Mallory were such a fun dynamic to read. I LOVED the fact that Holland was so inspired by Gilbert Blythe (who is the first fictional man I ever swooned for).
I loved that once we got a glimpse into Holland’s head, he was so sweet and really was constantly trying to be better. I loved the glimpses we got into his relationship with Mack and how much better it was.
Mallory was amazing. She made me laugh at how she viewed Holland and who she expected him to be. He definitely played into that role for her at the start! I loved how her view of him changed over the course of the book.
Favorite Quotes: “Gilbert Blythe is the standard.”
I meet his gaze, and his eyes are hounding me, like he’s trying to sniff out what I’m not saying. I’d rather he not wonder. I’d rather just tell him. At least then I can own it. “That being said,” I say slowly. “I appreciate you. I appreciate your concern, I mean.” “You, Mallory Walsh, appreciate me?" He grins. "I’ve gotta go write this down in my diary or something. Record it so I can look back on this day forever.” Anddd there’s the Holland I’m used to. “Shut up, Bradley.” I shove his shoulder.
“I always listen to my coach,” he says solemnly. “Taking orders from her is one of my favorite pastimes.” I roll my eyes. “Even when she’s demanding and screechy.” “I am never screechy.” The retort jumps from my lips without hesitation. Holland smirks at me, and I play back my tone. Okay… he has a point. “Well,” I huff. “Excuse me for taking my client’s career seriously.” “You’re excused,” he says with a flick of his wrist. I ball up my fists at my sides, and he glances at them before he locks eyes with me again. His gaze is full of mischief. “Like I said, I’ll take orders from you anytime, anyplace.” Holland leans in. “You want to order me to kiss you again?”
Holland’s grin widens. “You think I look good?” He’s like a golden retriever puppy dog right now, hopping around my feet, waiting for me to pet him. I huff. “Desperate much?” “For a compliment from you? Always.”
It’s interesting to note when an author talks redemption for a character because you don’t never know how long it will be for that to happen. In this case, it took the rest of the series… but Holland Bradley redeemed himself from how he was in “Friends Don’t.” This was such a fun series, and all the previous pairings make cameos in this story as well!
Holland Bradley, pro golfer, constant flirt, secretly pining for his golf coach, extraordinaire is our MMC! What’s a guy to do when the woman he has feelings for keeps always professional; he signs up for a reality dating show to get over her?! But since he must still be training for the PGO circuit, she gets a front row seat to the show! Oh, the insanity is only beginning!
Mallory Walsh, pro golf coach to the one and only Holland, totally oblivious to his feelings and thrown for a complete loop when finding out that he’s agrees to Most Eligible Mister! The only benefit besides a nice pay bonus for continuing to coach Holland through the show’s filming is that the golf course in Cashmere Cove affords them the privacy to be able to train him without a camera in her face! Mallory faces an additional trial, navigating how to help financially provide for her family and she finds unexpected allies in emotional support!
While there are funny and happy moments, there are also some hard emotional moments that leave you wanting to just hug the character that’s going through it! It’s been a joy to read this series and I’m honestly so sad to leave this little Wisconsin town! I’m not afraid to admit when I’m wrong, I was so hesitant when the first book initially came out because I had never heard of Leah Dobrinska and now, I’m a proud groupie! Thanks for sharing this world with us and bringing some beautiful literary joy to my life over the last year or so.
Pros Don’t by Leah Dobrinska is everything I never knew I needed in a slow-burn, reality-TV-meets-small-town romcom—and more! I’m not even a Bachelor fan, but this premise? Absolutely nailed it.
Returning to Cashmere Cove felt like a warm hug, and Holland and Mallory’s story brought the perfect blend of wit, charm, emotional depth, and undeniable chemistry. Holland—the cocky golden boy of golf with a hidden heart of gold—and Mallory—the fierce, no-nonsense coach who keeps him grounded—are the kind of opposites-attract pairing I live for. And their slow-burn tension? Off the charts. I was grinning like crazy during the pie-eating contest, swooning during the treehouse scene, and absolutely melting over their handwritten notes and flirty texts. 🥹💌
Watching Holland get his redemption after his rocky intro back in Friends Don’t made this finale all the more satisfying. He’s far more layered than he first appeared, and Mallory? She’s the kind of heroine who inspires you with her strength, vulnerability, and loyalty.
This story is not just sweet—it’s smart, heartwarming, and unexpectedly healing. With its clean romance (kisses only), heartfelt themes, and a vibrant community that feels like home, Pros Don’t is a standout finish to a series I’ll always recommend.
Reality TV drama Sports romance with a golf twist Enemies-ish to lovers vibes Strong series finale (but can be read as a standalone) Closed-door, character-driven swoonfest
This book? A hole-in-one.
ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
**A huge thank you to the author, Leah Dobrinska, for the opportunity to be one of her ARC readers once again!!**
Wow, what an amazing book! I was familiar with Holland from his appearances in the other "Fall in Love" series books and honestly had the impression that he was a guy that was full of himself and kinda a jerk. This book was his redemption story. In fact, one that was beautifully written and had such wonderful insight into who Holland really is behind his public persona as a golfer.
I think readers will really appreciate the little details and notable scenes throughout the book, as well as a few surprises. Family values continue to have a strong presence too. I thoroughly enjoyed how Dobrinska brought back a few other features that were similar to the other Fall in Love books, such as adorable hand written notes, secret dating, pillow forts, and amazing heart to hearts. This book in particular had some amazing kissing scenes... look closely at the back cover if you need a hint! 👀 And I loved having the Kasper sisters and their respective men were there too!!
Mallory and Holland are such a power couple and this was such a great book. My perspective on who Holland is truly softened and I love how both Holland and Mallory bring out the best of each other. Mallory was such a great match for him, despite her strong desire to be a girl-boss babe who publicly shows no weakness or compromising emotions... that eventually changes when she's encouraged to live out loud and be her own heroine. She's so relatable and inspiring, to Holland, but anyone who joins her on the journey.
Holland is the biggest golden retriever and respects Mallory more than anyone. He’s also harboring a slight crush on his coach and wants to find love. Mallory is your girl's girl, but also a tough as nails coach. She doesn’t let people in but will do anything for her family. I adored the story and the relationship arc of Mallory and Holland. When Holland goes on the Most Eligible Mister during a golf season, life gets crazy and things get complicated.
“I haven’t told her about most eligible mister is because there is a not so tiny part of me that has a massive crush on my coach. But I will die before I admit that out loud.”
Things I loved -Gilbert Blythe vibes -Anne of Green Gables references -The BANTER! -Their Families -Daisy -Secret Passage -Respect and Dedication -Cream Cove -Treehouse-all of it -He reads to her! -Passing Notes -Mini golf -Bird incidents -Hollands speeches
TROPES: Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, forbidden love, Coach/Player, dating show, he falls first
“For the past two years, out on the golf course, you’ve been the voice in my head. Now, even more than that, you’re the voice in my heart.”
It has been awhile since I've read Leah's books, so it felt like I was reading her for the first time and I was here for it! I absolutely loved this book and these two. It was the right mix of everything and I was truly sucked into the story and rooting for Holland.
“I’ve never experienced a kiss like this – one that’s such a clash of wills. There’s no hesitation. No lessening in intensity. This is full-throttle. Are we hate kissing right now?”
Pros Don't is the fourth book in the Fall in Love series. While I think readers could enjoy this story as a standalone, I do think those who have read at minimum Friends Don't will appreciate the story even more!
Those who have read the previous books in the series are probably already pretty familiar with Holland's character--- he was the brother Poppy was dating at the start of Friends Don't after all. And let's be honest, he didn't come across as the best guy--- or at least the best boyfriend material! Seeing him get his redemption in this story AND a happily ever after? Yes, it was certainly worth the wait! Holland and Mallory drew me in right away. To get over his little crush of his (very professional) golf coach (Mallory), Holland decided that joining a dating reality show seems like a good idea... until the producers decide Mallory would be a perfect addition too. To help her family with finances, she agrees. Spending more time together outside of professional boundaries has sparks flying between these two... and I absolutely couldn't get enough! Mallory has great reasons for putting those walls up, but once they start breaking down... it was just so good! And seeing how far Holland has come (and getting to know more of his history)? That's even better. I just absolutely loved these two together.
Pros Don't is a closed-door romance with kisses only and very minimal minor language. There is a brief mention of attempted sexual assault as well.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
4.5 stars Confession time, I haven't actually read Anne of Green Gables but I love how Holland has read Anne of Green Gables in the book. Pros Don’t is the fourth book in Leah Dobrinska’s Fall in Love series. I was excited to read this one after reading the first two books and it was so fun. I loved the vibes of this book. I was a little worried about the reality tv portion of the book, but Dobrinska wrote it so well. It didn't feel too awkward. Mallory and Holland were such fun together. They worked together but Mallory was careful to keep their relationship professional. I loved Mallory’s strength and the fact that she was a female in a male workspace. She held herself to a high standard and it was cool to get to know her. She had to learn to let Holland in and see that she didn’t have to do everything on her own. I adored Holland! He was so sweet but he really tried to get a rise out of Mallory. He had fallen for Mallory hard but he also knew she wasn’t interested so he didn’t pursue her. He did want to find his happy ending and it was interesting to read about his thoughts as he participated in the reality tv show. I loved getting to know him better and I really felt for him as he tried to figure himself out. I would totally recommend Pros Don’t! It is a wonderful addition to this series and it was fun to see some old characters too. The story held me captive and I loved the way the reality TV portions were written. Pros Don’t is a closed door contemporary romance.
The fourth book in this series was everything I wanted and more! The tension and banter between Holland and Mallory were absolutely top-notch, making it impossible to put this book down—except for when life (and kids) got in the way, of course.
Holland, a pro golfer, joins a dating show to try and move on from Mallory, his golf coach. But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that no one else could ever measure up to her. I loved watching his transformation from the first book to now—he’s matured so much, and the way he treats Mallory is just perfect. He protects her, takes care of her, and makes her feel truly special and safe. Seeing him fall first and then fight to change her mind was so satisfying.
Some of my favorite moments: • Holland calling her Mal (I melted every time). • The mini-golf date, the pie-eating contest, the photobooth, the treehouse—every scene was so fun and swoony! • When Mallory gets sick and Holland takes care of her (talk about heart eyes!). • The text messages—so much emotion packed into those little exchanges.
This book had the perfect mix of humor, longing, and heartfelt moments. If you love a hero who is all in for the woman he loves, with plenty of playful banter and swoon-worthy gestures along the way, this one is a must-read!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Leah Dobrinska books are the perfect cozy comfort books. Pros Don’t takes us back to Cashmire Cove for Holland to get his HEA. You don’t need to read the first 3 Cashmire Cove books, but it’s better if you do. Holland appears in the first book, and while he isn’t the worst, he’s not great. Pros Don’t gives him his redemption arc. He’s given the chance to make up for his past mistakes and repair relationships.
While this book is cozy and overall lighthearted, it covers some heavier topics, such as chronic illness, attempted sexual assault and bullying. Mallory is a female in a male dominated field, and the book gives a glimpse into the very real struggles women face. I think the toppings were handled with care and it didn’t feel like they were just added for dramatic effect.
The banter is fun. The characters have a comfortable connection that isn’t forced or based on one of them needing to drastically change something about themselves. There are tropes, but tropes are tropes for a reason. You know going into it that there is an HEA, and that’s exactly what you get.
If you’re looking for a Hallmark-esque, fun, lighthearted escape, this is a great book for that.
It is no secret that Holland was not my favorite after Friends Don’t. He seemed to be very self absorbed so him getting his own story and a chance to redeem himself was the best surprise.
Turns out Holland is kind of a cinnamon roll & has been keeping his massive crush on his golf coach a secret. He wants to find love & since he thinks there is no way Mallory will ever return his feelings he figures a reality tv dating show is the best way to find love & get over his crush at the same time.
To the world Mallory is a no nonsense, tough as can be coach in a sport that is full of men. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders trying to take care of her family. She thinks the idea of a reality dating show is dumb, but when they offer her a ridiculous salary to participate in the show she can’t turn it down. Fake dating her boss on a reality show can’t be that bad & it’s not like he’d actually want to keep her around on the show anyway 😏
This one was giving me Pride and Prejudice vibes in all the best ways. The banter between Holland and Mallory was perfection. This one was so easy to read too! I sat down to start it and before I knew it I was over halfway done & wishing there was going to be so much more. I can’t wait to see where Leah takes us next!
I freakin' LOVE this series, and PROS DON'T added such growth and dimension to one of my favorite (previously unsung) supporting characters, Holland.
One thing I love about Leah Dobrinska's books is the amount of heart she puts into them. She tackles some really emotional and heavy topics in this book, which really pierced my heart. Holland's struggles with panic attacks and stuttering made me tear up multiple times, and Mallory's dedication to her ailing mother is so beautiful (and something all children should strive to do). I learned a lot about the terrible disease Mal's mom is dealing with, too.
Okay, enough of the tearjerker stuff...the romance in this is FIRE! Mal and Holland are a great combo together; their chemistry is one of the strongest in the series (if that's even possible because all the Cashmere Cove couples are amazing). The added intrigue of a reality dating contest? I was sold from page one of this book. I read it in one day while poolside on my honeymoon. It was the perfect beach/vacation/need-to-getaway treat.
I can't wait for more of Leah Dobrinska's stories. Her romances have made me fall in love with this fun genre!
Plot: Holland has been focused on golf for as long as he can remember. With the help of his coach, Mallory, he secures a spot in the Masters. Suddenly, his agent tells him he is being considered for the lead role in “most eligible mister.” After much consideration, and lots of negotiating, Holland agrees. However, Mallory must be a contestant so the other girls don’t worry about all her extra time with him. How will this show affect his chance at winning? How will his extra time with Mallory affect his other cast members? Will he finally get a shot at love?
What I liked: I liked that Mallory was able to talk Holland through his panic attacks. I like that she didn’t judge him for something he held so much shame for. I also liked that he stood up for her on the golf course. They were a sweet couple. The older ladies in town watching out for him? To die for.
What I didn’t like: I didn’t like the reality dating show being a part of the story, because towards the end, it completely was forgotten as part of the plot. Also, anyone who was at the championship game would now know who he picks. That wouldn’t truly fly, if Victoria cared as much as they let on.
A sports romance, but make it golf? I wasn't sure how much I'd really enjoy this one, but gosh, I devoured it. Not only was it a sports romance, but it also incorporated a TV dating show (including lost of little cheeky nods to one very specific dating show!)
When I read that the love interests were going to be a golfer and his coach, I was feeling a little ick and that it would some how come across as inappropriate, but the author does an awesome job of addressing this in the story line and I definitely come away from the book as their cheerleader.
Returning to Cashmere Cove was so much fun. I really enjoyed all the cameos from Poppy, Noli, Rose, and even Mack. We had a bit of a familial redemption arc that was so heartwarming to read.
Big fan of tree houses after this one. Think I can convince my hubby that he and I need one? 😉 I could gush about all the ways this book made me giggle and smile, but I don't want to give too much away.
Highly recommend this story--it's a five star read for me--one might say a "hole in one?" 😜
“Enemies-to-lovers and workplace romances are the best kind.” After reading this story, I could not agree more!
I didn't even know a golf romance was on my bucket list, but goodness... I don't think I have ever sighed so much reading a book in my life. Leah knocked it out of the... fairway?... with the insanely romantic banter. I really do love a MMC who knows what he wants, but in this tale, he spends a lot of time thinking he can't have it.
The "Most Eligible Mister" show provides the backdrop for Holland and Mallory's love story. The producers can see what they cannot, and with the help of small town friends and family, Holland gets to shoot his shot. I love the open communication, the trust, and the sweet notes that pave the way for this adorable love story.
I love it when a story makes me believe that we can choose to see situations and people through fresh eyes. It's stories like this that make me love love. ❤️
This is Leah's best of the series, IMO!
I received a complimentary copy of the author's story to read and review. All thoughts contained
I always wondered what happened to Holland from the first book in the Fall In Love series. I was happy to find out in Pros Don't!
Holland is a pro golfer who has been secretly in love with his coach Mallory. They have worked together for years, but don't really know each other on a personal level. Holland is fun and easy going, while Mallory is all business. She even has her signature business ponytail to prove it!
Once the announcement is made that Holland will be the next contestant on the Most Eligible Mister TV show, things get complicated. Mallory is offered an opportunity she can't resist, and becomes one of the women vying for Holland's love.
It was fun to read about Holland and Mallory. They both have issues they are working through. Mallory has a lot on her plate. Everyone thinks that Holland has it all together. We get to see the vulnerable side of both of them. They were so many swoony and laugh out loud moments.
It was a real treat to read an ARC from the author!
Just in time for The Master’s Tournament opening day, I get to share with y’all about this sweet golf love story I just finished reading. I know next to nothing about the sport if Golf but loved learning something about what it takes to play professionally. I really loved getting to know Holland and Mallory. They were a good challenge to each other, both on the course and off and their banter was epic. And though I’m not a huge fan of reality dating shows, I felt like these two needed a reason to look beyond their coach/player relationship to what more they could be. I really liked that we got to see their relationship grow and deepen with each succeeding challenge they faced. They both had things to overcome and they quickly found out that it’s easier together than apart. Definitely loved how this one turned out and highly recommend you check it out too.
I received a copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel. I am not required by anyone to write a positive review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
“As soon as you can shift your perspective from ‘why me?’ to ‘where’s the good in this?’ the world becomes a much more joyful place, no matter your circumstances.”
Okay, wow, way to pull on the heart strings. I did not expect to cry reading this book. But here we are.
This is such a sweet romcom about finding your voice and "living out loud." There are so many cute moments between Holland and Mallory that had me squealing. The banter between the two of them is hilarious.
But what I didn't expect from this book was the emotional outlook on life. Leah does an amazing job of portraying the emotions of having a sick parent. Mallory's mom reminded me so much of my own mother. I'm obsessed with the quote above because it describes how my mom felt perfectly. Before she passed away she would always tell us to "find the good." I just want to thank Leah for writing about illness in a way that shows positivity while still showing how difficult it is for the entire family.
I cannot recommend this book enough. It is witty, funny, and will even have you respecting golf by the end!
This is the 4th book in the Fall in Love series. It can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the other books first just because you see characters from the book and I think you will just appreciate this story even more if you do!
I absolutely loved this book so much! So happy that Holland got his book🥹 and I absolutely love the fact that he is referenced to Gilbert Blythe🥰 I also love the way that Holland and Mallory bring out the best in each other. They are a perfect match for one another. The banter between the two is so fun✨ The overall theme of the story is lighthearted and cozy but there are definitely some deeper topics throughout the story such as chronic illness, attempted sexual assault, and bullying.

This was the absolute perfect ending to this series! From the first book I knew I wanted Holland's story! I'm so glad it was written because let's be real, Mallory was the star of the show here.
From the beginning the sassy comments and witty flirting was top knotch.
Holland is a golden retriever but I loved his insecurities and personal growth as well.
The TV show was a fun twist and I loved how it amped up the tension and helped Mallory see Holland in a new light.
Ugh. The swoony quotes friends. So swoony!! 😍😍 And so funny! I laughed so much!
Okay wait though. Can it not be over? I need more! Give me the aunt's love story now!!
💋Makeouts - slight hilarious innuendo ⚠️Read the author's note at the beginning of the book - chronic health condition for side character, attempted sexual assault minimally described, and panic attacks
This is a great contemporary rom-com. It’s a light, low-stress read with lovable characters and a sweet romance. I really enjoyed the rest of the series and so have been looking forward to this one coming out. It’s everything I was hoping for, and an excellent addition to the series!
The ending is a little sappy and Holland’s lines were definitely written by a woman, but it’s super sweet and every girl’s dream so… all good 😊
Content: There’s no foul language, sex, or violence. The are a couple heated kissing scenes, but they are limited to kissing and embracing. There are a few references to prayer and God, but I wouldn’t call the book Christian.
Trigger warnings: A female character is sexually assaulted but she is rescued before anything happens. Chronic sickness of a loved one. A character experiences panic attacks.
“ Holland Bradley is the golf world’s golden boy. Sounds like a hole in one.”
I honestly really enjoyed this one. I wasn’t sure since I’m not a huge fan of golf but I did like the dynamic of the two main characters. I want to go to Cashmere Cove and meet the whole town and be friends, great setting! The love story is perfect even if it peaked I feel a little early but was still good. Would recommend this one! Out April 8, 2025.
The writing pulled me in from the beginning and I loved the characters, how they handled themselves and how they grew through the book.
I love a sassy smart FMC which Mallory was, but not the kind who didn't know what she was doing. She has a level head, a big heart and is good at what she does.
Holland, he is such a green flag, and such a cinnamon roll. I love how he opens up to Mallory about his feelings, about his past and how respectful he is of her. That just got to me. Because yes, that respect and his willingness to follow Mallory's orders are just so awesome 😎
If you are looking for a closed door romance with all the swoon, you should pick up this book ❤️
This book reminded me of a a popular dating show (the Bachelor). I loved Holland and Mallory’s characters from the start; their characters were very well developed. I’m glad we also got to see some fan favorites pop up: Rose, Noli, Poppy, etc. from the other books in this series.
I enjoyed how Holland was all cocky and egotistical, but yet, had a caring side about him all along. I especially enjoyed one scene in the book where Mallory helped him work through his panic attack.
Leah outdid herself again with this book! A huge thanks goes out to her for letting me read an ARC early.
