安里アサト, Asato Asato, born 1985) is a female Japanese novelist. The pen name Asato Asato is a combination of her real name (Toru Asakura) and eighty-eight. Asato started writing novels just before she entered junior high school.
She initially submitted her work to the Kadokawa Beans Bunko Rookie Award, but when in 2014 her manuscript made it to the third round of the 2014 21st Dengeki Novel Prize, Asato started thinking about writing a novel that was "Dengeki Novel-esque." This novel would become the start of the 86 -Eighty Six- series.
In 2016, 86 -Eighty Six- won the 23rd Dengeki Novel Prize.
This certainly got darker, but I like it. Vika is an interesting new character. His country is fascinating. The Sirin are probably some of the most fascinating additions to this series. I'm trying not to spoil anything, I caught wind of the fact that it got better after the 4th Volume, and I'm well on my way, I've gotten news our most Reliable leakers are saying A New Season's been Green lit and I can't wait. I'm honestly very eager for Shin and Lena's Star Crossed Romance, and it's fire works to really start going off. Asako Asasko has really truly deeply impressed me because she writes like a Woman with 10 times her experience, Normally I'm like "You've got talent girl but, it needs work." But not with her, I've been gobbling up this Woman's literature from the start, let's just say if you compared this series to Attack on Titan, Asako does Child Shoulder's well, she nails it, better than Attack on Titan. The cast of Characters are visceral, relatable, and the series makes Mech Warfare feel a bit too real, but I love it. When it first came on it became instantly one of my all-time favorite Animes and I was left reeling like Who is Asako Asako? She seemed to come out of nowhere, lo and behold she has been writing since she was a little girl, but she's never been published until 86. 86 won one of the toughest and most prestigious light novel awards, Grand prize, in Japan.
Basically, Japan has a New national Treasure in her. She joins the ranks of Rumiko Takahashi :D
