What a whirlwind this volume was!

AND THAT CLIFFHANGER!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!

I read those last two pages, and I had to just lean back and sit in my chair because that twist was nothing like I thought or expected!!

But rewinding, it's confirmed once again that Theo absolutely is a horrible and awful person and cannot stand him at all! While Iris isn't my favorite character by any means, I hate how he treats her (and his children in general) because I think she could be a really sweet girl if her father didn't treat her like all she was good for was pushing his own agenda. UGH!

I was really proud of Kenneth in this volume, but also really horrified at how he confronted his father and took action! Talk about courage!! My heart really went out to him when he submitted in one scene because Kenneth knows the truth, and yet it feels he can't do anything.

However, he CAN, and I loved how Anna absolutely shone this volume and is helping him! Not only that, BUT HELLO THAT ROMANCE?!?! There was SO much tension, yet we got so many cute moments between her and Kenneth that I was squealing! I deeply appreciated that little date they had!!

Too bad "Grand Tea Party" shot fear into my heart and destroyed all the plans they had. *cries angry tears*

I'm nervously looking forward to the next volume! We were fed so much in this one and LOVED seeing what Kenneth is trying to do and how Anna is supporting him! I can only hope that he and Anna will be successful in their plans and be together while overcoming that despicable monster called Theo!

Was not expecting a comic that addresses a fantasy opioid epidemic controlled by an evil wealthy nobleman.

Pour l'instant, je trouve que cette histoire ne s'essouffle pas. Bien au contraire. Ce tome s'axe encore plus sur le côté de l'intrigue politique et les complots d'Éclipse pour assoir son pouvoir sur Albion. Mais notre prince avec l'aide d'Anna va tout mettre en œuvre pour sauver son royaume. Les rebondissements de la fin, je ne les avais pas vus venir et du coup, je suis curieuse de voir comment va évoluer l'histoire.
Après, il y a quelques facilités, je pense notamment à Anna et ses nouvelles facultés pour éblouir l'assistance, mais ça ne m'a pas vraiment dérangée.
Dans ce 5e tome, l'humour est moins présent et laisse place à l'intrigue plus complexe. Je ne boude pas mon plaisir et j'ai dévoré ce nouveau tome. J'aime décidément beaucoup ce petit manga qui ne paie pas de mine.

Both sides of this war have made moves that will affect our couples future and its pretty good. We made some discoveries about the king which honestly is pretty sad.

I liked the growth of the relationship of our couple we got a kiss and a date. His knights are so handsome... I want more. I wonder what is gonna happen after the cliff hanger at this party.

Anna Halmich é filha de um herói de guerra morto numa batalha nos primeiros capítulos. A Anna é a filha rebelde que quer ser como o pai, e só pensa em lutar. Depois da morte do pai ela é vendida para o reino de Albion para se casar.
O rei de Albion está sendo controlado pelos Eclipses, uma família que tem como patriarca uma aparência do Rasputin. O Theo Eclipse, o vilão, casou a filha com o rei para se infiltrar na família real e controlar o reino de Albion. A Anna é uma prisioneira e uma barganha.
O enredo no começo é interessante, mas logo se transforma numa disputa de colégio entre os ricos e os nobres. O reino está dividido, incluindo a pobreza e a desconfiança dos cidadãos.
O príncipe Kenneth quer abolir a monarquia.
Não gostei do restante dos capítulos a partir do quarto capitulo. A história é bem bobinha no final das contas. O conflito está presente devido a ameaça da família Eclipse, porém os protagonistas serão vencedores.
A Anna é a típica mocinha que não quer ser igual as outras, porém ela usar o charme e a elegância, sem deixar de lado suas habilidades de defesa pessoal. Enfim, não é uma história de vingança.
Alguns personagens foram mal utilizados, e a subtrama do colégio foi mais utilizado do que mostrar o que está acontecendo no país e em qual posição está os nobres e os novos ricos.

Villain that always seems to be two steps ahead and incredibly loathsome!

Here I thought we were going to have an anti-climatic wrap up to the story and instead we get thwarted! What a cliffhanger to end on oh my gosh!

Honestly I'm so excited for the next installment that I'm frustrated that it's not available. So far each volume has improved upon the story up until the grand reveal of how committed the author is to the big WTF. It takes a lot of courage for an author to pull the rug out from under you. It also takes a lot of talent to make a truly detestable villain that's actually competent as well and commit to it. You used to not have a hard time finding difficult villains in fiction but I've found in the last 10 or 20 years in the books I've read whether it is comic or not a lot of the villains are underwhelming. The true evil tends to be more of a civilization concept like hatred or prejudice or starvation unless a specific person you can target. Alternatively the target themselves are just very rich and powerful but stupid. This is not the case with the mastermind villain in this series. This person is truly despicable and seems to plan ahead with a skill on par with moliarty.

Anna, the titular Margrave's daughter, is the odd one out in her family. She takes after her father and is more interested in weapons and warfare than she is in being a lady. When things go wrong on the battlefield against the enemy kingdom, Anna is given over to the enemy kingdom's general as peace offering. Anna has no intention of going quietly and when she finds herself in a violent situation with the general, non other than the enemy prince comes to her aid. The pince, however, has his own plans for her.

The art is absolutely beautiful and this is a promising start to the series. Anna is so far quite the typical arch type character of noble lady who would rather swing a sword, but I definitely like her so far. There is a good balance between humour and dark scenes that make the stakes feel reasonably high. The prince's motives are hard to read so I think this series will offer interesting romance dynamics.

There are several key turning point in this volume, though it seems it may be too little too late if this latest announcement and scheme is anything to go by. We're left hanging at the end of the volume however to discover just how far Prince Kenneth will push things and if his supporters really will stay with him after all. While he does enter the grand ball with Anna, he's also already received the ultimatum to choose Raven and further the Eclipse family's own goals. It seems they may have also managed to rope in Anna's family, which may further hinder their plans as Anna's own support was vital to their bluff from the start. Just how far down does this plan really go and can they escape in time.

anyways other than that, i liked that they are both theatre nerds and their fistbump was cute. ALSO when they lock in and have their game faces on, it is so attractive.

I am sure there was a smarter way for them to proceed. They jumped the gun and in not the smartest way. Anna is supposed to be a strategist and here, she did not consider some evident variables.
