I am so glad that Andrew Olimpi decided to put the Latin book of Winnie Ille Pu into a reader format! I love Winnie the Pooh and had purchased the Latin book to give myself practice reading, but found that Winnie Ille Pu was still too complicated to read, just as Olimpi had also discovered. When I picked up Ursus Nomine Vinnius, I could read it! The story line is adorable (just like the original by A. A. Milne) and gives all of the happy vibes that our lovable, simple-minded bear Winnie the Pooh is so classic for! Olimpi has brought Winnie the Pooh to life for us Latin learners! He made the format understandable for beginner/intermediate Latin students. And as always, he makes the story enjoyable. I always learn a few new words while reading his readers, and I love that he not only includes the new words in explanation at the bottom of the page, but also in the complete word glossary at the back of the book. I also like the fact that this isn't a Greek or Roman mythological story here, just a simple, lovable Pooh Bear! It adds variety to the stories available for Latin students to choose from in the Andrew Olimpi style that so many of us love to read from!
