What can I say? This was simply perfect.
I’m always very skeptical about these types of tropes because they often end in ways that feel unreasonable or unrealistic. But not this one. Nope, this story is a masterful depiction of Stockholm Syndrome, and it was just perfect.
It’s a short read, but it’s incredibly well-structured, with a smooth flow and an engaging writing style.
Cain is a surgeon with a peculiar urge that strikes every Christmas, and Grace is an unlucky girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
What I really appreciated about this book is that the FMC doesn’t immediately fall for her captor. Instead, the progression is slow and believable. Most of her decisions are focused on staying alive and surviving an impossible situation, and they are often the smartest choices she could make.
Be sure to check your trigger warnings because this one is unhinged! ‼️

Grace is by far one of the most strongest FMCs, I have read!!!
She not only has a background in psychology she then turns the game on him, like I don't know anymore who is puppet and who is master because these two together played a hard game 🔥
I don't normally like my FMC to be as unhinged as my MCC but, I think for Grace her innocence and her background in what she does for a living and what she went to school for I think it plays a big part in how truly unhinged she.
Also the amount of jaw dropping quotes in this book that will make you stop and go what in the ever living flip is astounding I mean these two played each other like fiddles 🖤
I know that Cain has no redeemable qualities to him but the way this man could not fathom Grace's feelings towards him truly broke me.
And Grace started out playing this man from the get-go and the fact that she ends up having a SS but then morphs it into a love for this man and then she unravels herself it just made the last like four chapters the best you could ever want because you truly see how she unravels throughout the entire story but the last like four to five chapters you see just how perfect she is for him and not only did he break her she broke him ‼️

If you loved Captor by K.M., then you are absolutely going to go "feral" for this book! This book is for us women that love a psycho man that will feed us and call us his "good little wh@re".
As soon as I started reading this book, I was all in. I could not stop reading. If it was not for real life and work, I would have had this book finished in a matter of hours. The only good thing I can say about the fact that I was not able to read the book in hours is that I was able to make it last longer.
I should fear Cain but all I can do is droll for him. Every time that Cain played with Grace left me exhausted in a good way. K.M. did not skimp on the SPICE. This book is one that you are going to want to read and reread.

Holy shit, this novella is everything you could want out of a dark serial killer romance. He's obsessive, methodical, and absolutely loses his mind when he meet Grace the first of his victims who seems to get off on the darkness inside him. The tension between them makes this such a thrilling read as both Grace and Cain struggle to rationalize the emotion the other provokes. I wish the characterization of Grace had gone a little deeper but overall this is a fast paced steamy dark romance that will have have you hooked from chapter one.

I swear KM Mixon puts something addictive in her books, I completely devour them. Little Puppet was no exception, I read this in one sitting! I am absolutely feral for captor/captive romances and this one was perfect. I somehow managed to completely fall for Cain, even though he is a serial unaliver. He is deliciously obsessive, unhinged and spicy. And I loved how he fell for his little puppet. It's the little things KM includes that helps you fall for her unhinged MMCs. If you're looking for a spicy, unhinged holiday novella then read this book!

If you’re looking for a spicy, morally black read with Jeepers Creepers serial killer vibes…this one’s it. But don’t go into it think this guy is redeemable, he is not. He’s the darkest, most depraved fantasy you’ve hidden from everyone brought to life in this audiobook.

Well that was a very different Christmas book! Cain has two sides to him; one, three respectable, upstanding doctor; the other, the psychotic murderer.
Grace is captured and initially uses her knowledge of psychology to play his game and try to cheat her inevitable death.
The spice was unhinged. The plot was unhinged. This could have easily been expanded into a longer novel. A quick, WTF food i just read type of book that was thoroughly enjoyable
