Amazing Grace: Study Guide

Rate this book
As helpful as the video presentation is in illuminating and imparting the doctrines of grace, in the end there is no substitute for an open Bible and the desire to search the scriptures to see whether these things (are) so. (Acts 17:11) To that end, the Jerry Johnson (M.A.C.S., M. Phil.), the primary author of the Amazing Grace DVD, has written a study guide to help you, your family, church, Sunday school class or cell group understand just how amazing grace truly is.

This sixty-page book divides the DVD set into eight class-sized segments that run approximately thirty-five minutes each. Along with Bible verses, each section presents questions that are to be considered as the viewer watches the DVD. There are also extra theological notes to more firmly establish the principles of the Reformation.

Even though the accompanying DVD is showing its age (in that, the men interviewed are *not* showing their age), this is still a great study. It fully explains the Doctrines of Grace or Calvinism in a way that is useful for both newer believers and older ones. I recommend it for study groups or for yourself, if you want to know more!

I was amazed!...This is a well balanced, sensational presentation of the biblical faith on DVD - it deals with the reformation. I cannot stress how this should be seen by all Christians. Great challenge for any re-covering catholics.

This review is for the DvD (not) the study guide, it is a juggernaut of the resources out there that is available. I highly recommend it.
