When past and present collide at a speed date of all places, Julia Kinkaid does what she does best; she heads for the nearest exit. Only Michael Winthrop has other plans for her. He wants to pick-up where they left off, as friends. Only she never saw him as just a friend, he was the guy she dreamed of marrying one day.

Seven years ago, when Julia broke his heart, Michael tried to move on and as far as anyone could tell, he did. He built a life for himself that most men would call paradise. But now, seeing Julia again, he’s realising that a future with her is still the only thing he ever wanted out of life.

This is more of an intro than a bio.

Reader, writer, lover of words. When I was a child I used to pick random pages in the dictionary and scan through them rememorising interesting words. That was a personal enjoyment that I still indulge in on occasion.

I love to write. I love to lose myself in compelling narratives and adventures as they unfold in my mind and spill onto pages which will invariably result in a book by the time I am done.
Writing started for me, as a way to pass the time whenever I ran out of reading material or wanted to get rid of excess creative energy (I was an artist specializing in the painting medium (still am). More than that, it was a wonderful escape from the mires of self-pity i found myself drowning in when I was diagnosed with MS and underwent my first treatment with Campath. As the drug was (and still is) under clinical trials, I had to be very careful for the three months of every year when my immune-system was dangerously suppressed. In short, I was rendered a recluse for three months of every year.
What seemed like one of the worst things in life, became one of the best as it allowed me the time and inclination to write stories.
Before I knew it, I was in love with the new freedom I could find only by putting pen to paper (or rather, fingers to a key-board). I wanted to delineate the characters I had dreamed into existence on a two dimensional surface with 3D fluidity.
I have no idea if I have succeeded in this initial feat, but now I mainly long to see where they will take me to next.
Of course I want much more than that, as writing the story is only the first step for me. I want to present my books to the world in a fashion that captures the market for which they were intended. I want intrepid readers to meet the characters I have fallen in love with, and perhaps…fall in love them too.

This is the first book from Author Chris Adonn (maybe because it is her first romance) that I have had the privilege of reading, but I'm sure it will not be the last.

There are some really fun moments that had me laughing out loud, some hot, steamy scenes and a happy ending... What more can you ask for in a romance?

Go out and get your copy and check it out for yourself.

This is a book that hooked me from the first page and never let go! The author is a wonderful story teller with a fast pace romance that keeps you hopping to keep up. This is a page turner you won’t be able to turn them fast enough. It is a kind of short story that you will not be able to put down. I found this book to be humors that will keep you chuckling as you watch Julia and Michael stepping on toes to find their way through a very touching love.

There is nothing more painful than first love, they break you and ripe your heart out at the same time love. Leaving you feel like you aren’t good enough and you do not want to go on. Ms. Adonn tells it just as it is with her power words of pain, hurt and destruction. How many of you wish for a second chance with your first love or the one who got away? In Lush Julia and Michael have that chance, the question is will they take it or let hurt lead the way and take away their one chance at getting it right? Can they turn back the pages of time and start where they left off forgetting the past, the pain and start a new?

This is a fast pace read, the author puts a lot in such a short time. You never feel like the story is rushed or that she left something out. She doesn’t use a lot of endless details she doesn’t need to, but she gives you all the information you need to make this a totally awesome passion filled read. Sometimes life can lead you back to your one true love, your first love and give you the happy ever after that you always dreamed of.

This is my first read with this author and it will not be the last. I highly recommend you pick this up for a read.

Short and Sweet

There are several themes of love and friendship on multiple layers in this wonderful novella.
It opens with best friends attending a speed dating event as a favor to the older brother of one woman. Now, as you can imagine, this could be a wonderful adventure or a true test of loyalty.
Chris Adonn masters the task of allowing us to move around in time and view events from the perspective of several characters. It is always amazing how easily misunderstandings can come of people interpreting a situation differently.

Julia has had a crush on Michael since the day she met him. Sadly, she was only 7 years old, he 3 years older. She told him she loved him after she turned ten. After Michael graduated from high school he wanted to travel and make his own mark on the world, not knowing how heartbroken Julia would be.

They meet again when both all grown up. Now 3 years difference in their ages is not important.
What is important are memories of a broken heart - but is it Julia's or Michaels?

While the author does inform us there will be naughty bits in this story, I would let my teenager read it.
It is tastefully written and really very sweet, with humorous moments and some really interesting references to cars and motorcycles.

I was hooked in the first chapter. Obviously, there was serious history between Mike & Jules and when you find out...wow! The rest of the chapters they are trying to determine if they can get back what they lost. Very engaging and a real page-turner. Great job, Chris! Can't wait to see what book 2 brings!!

This was a great short read. I read it in just a few hours. Julia was cute witty and so funny. I laughed out loud a couple of times at the things she said. The banter between her and Mike was so cute and funny. I just love their chemistry. You definitely got the feeling these two had known each other a while. If your looking for a short fun read then this one is a great pick.

This story was slow going at the beginning but picked up a little ways into it.These 2 really needed to talk out some things from growing up.So it's really a second chance story and ended up in a nice place.

This was only a fair read and I didn't buy a lot of the story line. If a man truly and deeply loves you he would't go ten years without seeing or talking to you and then marry someone else who tricked him by claiming pregnancy with no proof. It was necessary to suspend belief. Relationships haven't a chance if there is no communication and our hero gets a 'D' in that department.
