This is a very thorough and informative guide on inflammation, how it manifests, and what to do to start feeling better with drug-free, evidence-based suggestions. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to do something to start feeling better but doesn’t know where to start.
This is your standard AIP fare; it points out that there’s a lot of conflicting info on autoimmune diets while assuring the reader HER words are unique. This book and all the others boil down to: eat healthily—lots of varied fruits, veggies, and small consumption of light/nutrient rich meat. The end.
I will say, I have never seen the liver referred to as “saturated” in the quintessential liver detoxification playbook. Like what does that even mean? Is the liver a sponge that needs to be wrung out to remove toxins. I mean, all organs are saturated—with blood/fluids, microorganisms, organelles, etc. I’ll chalk that up to translation. But, I do give props for not going on and on about cleanses.
So yeah, nothing different besides the anecdote the author gives about how she was foolish enough to not look into the company she was applying for a job for before she accepted. When she told her compatriots about her job, they had to be like, nah, that ain’t it, before she asked what she would be doing and found it was against her principles. But follow her advice; she has all the answers. . .
