I’ve always been a people pleaser, but divorce and a job that doesn’t set my soul on fire, leave me feeling lost.
While my friends seem to be enjoying everything that comes their way, my life is… vanilla.
So, when my son’s tattooed friend rolls up on his motorbike, needing a bed for the night, I can’t seem to say no.
I mean, what’s the worst that can happen?
It’s not like he’ll move in, charm me with that smile, and make me wonder what magic he can get up to with those potter’s hands.
It’s not like he’ll bring out a side of me I didn’t know existed.
It’s not like my son will find out and hate what we’ve done.
It’s not like I’ll fall for him, but have to let him go because he deserves to live his life to the full.
Anyway, I’m way too old for him to want anything more than some fun in the bedroom.
But he keeps reminding me that age is just a number.
And I can’t help but wonder if sending him away might just be the worst decision I’ve ever made.
This is a steamy, standalone, reverse age gap romance with an HEA. It's part of The Thirst Trap series and can be read independently. This book is intended for adults only.
This was very enjoyable. It was pleasantly smutty but also had some deep emotion to it.
Mel is a divorced, 49-year old single mom who can’t believe her son is old enough to drink. Opening her front door to what she thinks is the pizza delivery person, she finds a handsome, tattooed, leather clad man. A young man. A young man named Alex who is there to hang out with her son and his other friends, playing video games and eating snacks.
Mel feels a zing around Alex. He’s not too much older than her son, but his maturity level makes him seem older. But he’s still a good 15 years younger than her, plus he’s her son’s friend, so she couldn’t possibly pursue this. .. right? She shouldn’t… right? She won’t. Until she realizes that Alex feels a zing on his side of things, too.
I do enjoy a good age gap story, and this was quite good. The spicy scenes were great, the excitement of the main characters keeping things under wraps so that no one else finds out is palpable. The additional plot points of Alex’s family issues, his artistic interests, Mel’s love of books, her two sassy friends… all of these come together to make a story that is more than just smut.
If you like age gap, son’s friend, bookish FMCs, tatted motorcycle riding MMCs, and liberal dashes of spicy action, then you’ll want to give this one a read.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book and I’m so glad, this was the first I heard of the Thirst Trap stories and its interconnected but you don’t really need to read the first book first coming from someone who started with this book. I’m definitely running to grab the first book because Kenzie’s writing is SO good! The first line of chapter one made me giggle, and it pretty much continues that way through the whole book with funny/sassy comments from the FMC (Mel) and the MMC (Alex). It was such a fun ride and a super quick read! Highly recommend!
Mel and Alex’s relationship was so much fun! Mel is newly divorced and Alex is her son’s friend. The chemistry between these two was absolutely off the charts and I loved falling in love with them!
Mel was just so frustrating at times with her indecision and back and forth. I felt so bad for Alex and just wanted to give him a hug!
4/5 stars 4/5 spice - Reverse age gap - Son’s friend - Close proximity - Single mum
Woah, this was extremely hot! Props to Kenzie because those spicy scenes were so well written, you could feel the passion that they shared. I also loved how adventurous those scenes were.
Spice aside, I adored Alex’s character. He was mature and very level headed, even more so than Mel. He had all the thirst traps going for him, like being a potter and making those videos, tattoos, a piercing (he gets later on), and riding a motorcycle.
Mel’s character I have to admit annoyed me at times, especially when she let the opinions of others sway her choices, which happened a few times. I was mad about her decision to let Alex go so he could sow his wild oats, but later I came to appreciate that decision because it just solidified their connection when he came back to her. Also, I cringed at her calling him boyo multiple times…
I think her son handled finding out about them pretty well. His actions and anger were warranted and he came around in the end when he didn’t have to. I was happy to see previous characters from book one make appearances and meddle in Mel’s life.
If you love a reverse age gap with some adventurous spicy scenes you’ll definitely eat this book up.
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. HEA: HEA POV: dual 1st person spice: several open-door spicy scenes TWs: abuse, alcoholism, car accident (fatal, non-descriptive), death of a grandparent (off page), divorce Kinky Content: bondage (wrist restraints), dirty talk, Dom/sub dynamics, exhibitionism, fancy peen, femdom, fingering, irrumatio, masturbation, oral, praise, somnophilia, squirting, switching, voyeurism standalone: book 2 in the Thirst Trap series (can be read as a standalone with mild spoilers) final thoughts: HOT HOT HOT! OMG I LOVED THEM and I can’t wait for the rest of the series! I thought book 1 was great but this one blew me away. I love the forbidden age gap, the angst, the gestures, the switching and playing – AHH so much fun!
read this book if you love 🔢 age gap (25/40) 😬 angst 👦 best friend’s mother 🧑🎨 blue collar MMC (artist) 🥵 dirty talk 💬 epistolary 🍆 fancy peens 😳 forbidden lovers 🎁 grand gestures 🧑🤝🧑 great side characters 💘 instalust 🛏️ “it’s just a fling” 😏 kinky 🏍️ motorcycle riding MMC 💞 mutual pining 🥰 nicknames 🔀 opposites attract 🛌 kinda roommates 👩👦 single parent 🏡 small town
Wooo boy this was so much more spicier than I anticipated and is one of the best reverse age gap romances I’ve read. Mel is a 40 year old divorcee and Alex is 25 and also her son’s friend (her son is 18 fyi). There’s an instant connection between Mel and Alex and you can really feel that in the book even though Mel is torn as to what to do. Alex is also a lot more mature than most 25 year olds so I think that really helps too. A really great read and I can’t wait for the next one!
A reverse age gap Romance book are so much fun to read. When I find a new author writing about her being older and him being more mature and comfortable in his own skin, I gobble it up. Alex knows what he is ready for and is planning on how to win Mel over all the way. Melody's husband left her years ago so she focuses on raising her son, Zack. Zack is now in college and through age and similar likes, gaming, they become friends. Alex is different from Zach's usual friends, rides a motorcycle, has a lot of tattoos and is a big boy, muscles and body. Mel is attracted and hasn't had a good romp, well, ever from what her girlfriends tell her. After reading some raunchy, smutty books he friend writes, she decides to try sex with a younger man, Alex. He also likes whay he sees in Mel. One night and they are both blown away, literally and figuratively. Mel being the mum (UK) and can't get her head around being 40ish and Alex 25, and her sons friend wants to call one and done. Alex thinks he's found the woman of his dreams can't let go, but for her sake, he does. Now not only is he learning to be a pottery maker and is also working at the bar she frequents with her friends. Yeah the pull is too much and they have another night of great sex, learning from each other. Again, she has crossed the line, she believes. She tells Alex that the two of them cannot be anything so she tells him, no more. Seeing how Zack seems to have a few more breaks from university, as they call it, he finally walks in on them. He leaves and tells her that he's going to live with his dad. Meanwhile bc of the suggestion of Zack, Alex has been living in an apartment over Mel's garage, Zack decides to visit Alex before exiting to dad's, and punches Alex in the face, giving him the king of a black eye. He and she really have a quarrel about sex, age and gossip, she gives him a year to see if she and he feel the same after that time and throws him out of the garage apartment. With no where to go, he goes to stay with his sister and woman his age and a famous potter, offers him six months in Scotland to learn the trade more and for him to model in the nude for other sculptors. After the six months are over, he heads back to Mel to see if she missed him after the short time. Of course she did. He and she decided to make a go of their relationship. Mel invited all their friends for a couple outing. She had been promoting him him and he has been making her happier then she has ever been, so she is brave enough to make changes in her career. She is now AZ highly sort after event promoter. He's becoming a famous potter and the two are also doing great in their relationship. And a big HEA. Go ahead and read the book. It has many hot and steamy segments. But the hot and steamy doesn't take over the book like so many other books. I didn't have to skim parts bc there was too much sex. Kensie Quivers (I don't think that's her real name) does great by folding the sex into the story. Applause. I recommend this book.
I remember Mel from Kenzie Quivers’ first novel, The Best Number: An MMF Why Choose Romance. Although she was a supporting character in that book, I already knew I wanted to know more about her, which I did with Just a Number.
The book follows Mel, a forty-year-old single mother who has just gone through a divorce. One evening, Zach, her eighteen-year-old son, invites some friends over to play video games, including Alex, a colleague from work. Alex is an apprentice potter at the arts centre where Zach works. At twenty-five, the young man dreams of nothing more than becoming independent and leaving the toxic household in which he lives. Mel and Alex meet at this video game night and the chemistry between them is instant.
This book adds to the list of reverse age gap books I’ve read recently. It reinforces my belief that I prefer reverse age gap romances to age gap romances. There is a softness and fragility that I find more appealing when the female lead is the oldest in the couple that is forming.
I really liked Just a Number. I loved the fragility of Mel. The 40-year-old has to fight between what her heart and her head tell her about Alex, who is not only her son’s friend but also 15 years younger than her. I also liked Alex’s determination when it came to his relationship with Mel. He may be younger than her, but that doesn’t stop him for a moment from being sure of his relationship with Mel.
I was also glad to see the characters from The Best Number again and can’t wait to read Abby’s story.
Thanks to Kenzie Quivers for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Just a Number. I am writing this review voluntarily. All opinions are my own.
Hold onto your hats (and maybe your fans), because this book is a wild ride! Our heroine? A total people pleaser who’s just gotten out of a meh marriage and is stuck in a job that’s as thrilling as watching paint dry. But things take a turn for the oh-so-spicy when her son’s ridiculously hot, tattooed friend rolls up on his motorbike, looking for a place to crash. What’s a little harmless help, right? Except... this guy isn’t just staying for the night. Oh no, he’s got charm for days, a smile that could melt steel, and hands that could work some serious magic (both on and off the pottery wheel, if you catch my drift).
Suddenly, Miss Vanilla is wondering what other flavors life might have to offer—like dark chocolate, with a side of, "OMG, how is this even allowed?!" The banter is fire, the chemistry is electric, and our girl is discovering sides of herself she didn’t even know existed. It’s all fun and games until feelings (and maybe clothes) get a little too tangled... and there’s the slight problem of her son finding out. Oops?
But honestly, age? Just a number, right? At least, that’s what he keeps telling her as things heat up in the bedroom and beyond. The only question is, will she take a chance on this deliciously risky fling, or play it safe and send him packing—something we all know would be the worst decision ever.
This reverse age-gap romance is pure fun, pure heat, and pure "OMG did that just happen?" Get ready to laugh, blush, and fall head-over-heels for this steamy, hilarious, and seriously unforgettable ride. Five stars, no question!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 / 3.5🌶🌶🌶🌶 -Reverse Age Gap -Sons friend -Contemporary -Bookstagrammer FMC -Artsy MMC
Let me start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this and did not want to put it down for a minute! I was initially hesitant after my thoughts on The Best Number, but I swear Kenzie laced something into this story that just made it amazing. Well worth it!
Mel and Alex are just the right amount of taboo. It's pretty spicy but not overly so. Mel is Cassidy's divorced friend. Cassidy was FMC from The Best Number. Abby is friends with both Cassidy and Mel. Abby works at the bar with Alex and Cassidy's BF, Tom, who is one of the MMCs from The Best Number. Mel has an adult son in college named Zack, who invites several of his friends over to game one night. One of his slightly older than him friends he invites over is Alex. It was lust at first sight for both Mel and Alex. Strap in for an emotional journey to find their HEA. Several times throughout the book my heart just hurt for Alex and I wanted to give him a hug.
I would be interested to read more about Abby or Alex's sister, Laura, in future books. This can be read as a Standalone. It is not necessary for you to have read The Best Number, though it does provide background on her friend group.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Melody is the best friend of our Author in book one. If you didn't read that one you really should become there is character crossover and it was fantastic.
Melody has an adult son in college who still lives at home. He will have friends over for gaming and pizza nights. When one of these nights has Melody opening the door expecting pizza she instead finds a gorgeous man she is absolutely enthralled by. The problem, he is friends with her son and that means he has to be in his early 20s and completely off limits.
Mel is a divorcee and finds she can't do casual hookups so this sudden attraction and longing leaves her off balance. Of course when it comes out that he needs a place to stay she won't turn him away.
Will this 40 year old divorced mother allow herself something that excites her? Can there ever be an acceptable way to date a man 15 years younger than you who is also friends of your son?
Hope on in because this is one steamy but bumpy ride. This man may be young but he knows what he wants in life and he is ready to grab on.
I'll take a sinfully delicious biker covered in tattoos whose fantastic with his hands any day. Will you?
Really didn’t like the FMC. She stuffs the poor guy around so much. He’s totally stuck in a roller coaster relationship with her.
She wants him, she doesn’t, she does but shouldn’t, she does but can’t, now she doesn’t again, and off we go again.
Considering all the other drama in his life, and the outright abuse and neglect from his family, what she’s doing is offensive.
She’s presented as this oh so kind person, but really, she’s kind when it’s expected, or makes her feel good about herself. I don’t remember her being kind solely for the other person, or simply to make them happy, without anyone needing to know about it.
At one point, it feels like she’s using him, and he just keeps going back for more (considering his background, totally believable, but sad).
By the end, I didn’t really want to see him end up with her. I wanted it to be one of those stories where the younger one, learns, grows, hurts, and heals. They move on, wiser, calmer, even greatful for the experience, but ready now for the next stage of life and finding that person who works, without all the drama and hurt.
That part of their life now a fond, private memory.
So I stopped, and am letting my imagination fill in the rest.
this story was very enjoyable and it was very smutty but it did had some deep emotions aswell
The FMC Mel who is divorced and a single mom that cant beleive that her son is old enough to drink . Someone was at her front door, she thought it was the pizza man but instead there is a handsome , tattooed, leather chad man just standing there .
Alex is there to hang out with her son and his other friens to play video games and eating snacks
Mel ends up feeling a zing about Alex but he isnt too much older than her own son but his maturity level makes him seem older... there is also an 15 year old age gap between them.... sh couldnt possible pursure this ..... right?..... or shouldnt ? Alex endedup feeling the same zing as Mel did .
i really enjoyed the age gap romance ... the spicy scences was so good ... i love seeing the excitement from the main characters that kept things under wrath so noone could find out . Alex had family issues alot but he is also an artistic interest... Mel adore her books ... cant forget her sassy friends
if you looking for a good book to read with some smutt than look no further as this book has age gap, sons friend, bookish FMCs,tatted up motorcycle riding MMCs ,spicy action...
So I absolutely love a good "taboo" Reverse Age Gap, but this one felt a bit flat and let me tell you why. (Spoilers ahead)
Loved the whole son's friend, older woman getting her grove back. BUT!! around the 4 times that they had sex, Mel tells Alex that they can not do that again and in a really crappy way, sends him on his way. Each time she gets horny has him come right back just for her to pretty much kick him out again with her "we can not keep doing this" spiel. They never really spend any actual time together, no dates, I think they have one night where they watch tv. Then after Alex tells Mel, he loves her and wants to spend his life with her, she tells him to leave. After 6 months of no contact, he comes back. BUT why? besides supposedly good sex there was really no romance. What I feel like I am missing here is them actually having more than sexual chemistry. The author hinted at maybe him teaching her how to do pottery, and I got excited we were getting a Ghost scene. Her working the clay with him behind her, helping out and we know where that leads to. But nope, we get nothing of the sort. She acts like she is 60 and treats him like her teenage son until she wants him inside her, they do not actually bond at all or get the chance to.
✨️ARC Book Review✨️ Just A Number - Kenzie Quivers (268📖) (6th October - 8th October) 5⭐️ 3🌶
Thank you so much to @kenziequiversauthor for allowing me to ARC!
Just A Number is the second book in The Thirst Trap series (following from The Best Number). This book is centred around Mel, the 40 year old bookstagrammer divorcee single mum to her 18 year old son. When her sons friend, Alex 25, knocks on her door to hang out, the sparks already starts to fly. When Alex needs a place to stay, Mel opens up the area above her garage for him to rent. But will this lodger become her lover? And what will happen if her son finds out?
My god, I freaking loved this book! I enjoyed reading about Mel in The Best Number and was so excited to be able to read her book and I was not disappointed in the slightest! It's heartbreaking the way she describes herself at times, but to also see the confidence change in her was the best, you go girl! I wish it never ended. Like everything was perfection! Alex was such a great match for Mel and the way he lifted her up and gave her the happiness she deserves was magic. The epilogues close such an amazing book and im so thankful to have been able to ARC.
Be sure to read The Best Number before Just A Number to meet Mel, as well as to read the story of Cassidy, Tom and Jack. Cannot wait to read the next one!
Just A Number releases on 17th October (7 days!!!). Run don't walk for your copy!!💜
Kenzie Quivers just blew me away with this one. Just a number is an age gap romance which is no big deal except the mfc Melody is older (40) and Alex (25) is younger. It is a refreshing change of pace that I quickly got on board with.
Mel (Melody) has always done what was expected of her except now she’s ready to do what she wants. Mel is very much a relatable character with how her story is told and what she’s lived through.
“I’ve spent my whole damn life doing what was expected of me: getting married, having a child, building a career, and doing it all with a polite smile plastered on my face. Well, fuck that.” Amen sister 🫶🏽
Alex wants so badly to be with Mel and to make her happy. He’s a very sweet character and also has a touch of a dirty side. Which everyone ( it’s me I’m everyone) would love.
Their chemistry is fire works and is interesting to read. I can’t say much more without spoilers but trust that you might learn something new?
All in all I quite enjoyed this book and Kenzie’s writing style.
The was my very first ARC read and I was so excited to get my copy!
The story follows 40-year-old, divorcee, and mother of 1, Mel, and her budding romance with the sexy 25-year-old, tattooed potter, Alex. From the very beginning, this book takes off into the initial meeting and things heat up fairly quickly. The book is less than 300 pages, making it a short and sweet read. I couldn’t put it down and found myself wanting more as I was reading it.
The spice is SPICY!
The author does a great job of painting a picture with her writing. As older woman that is married to a much younger man, I really felt deeply Mel’s insecurities and struggles. I gave it 4 stars because I really felt there could have been just a little bit more depth to the story and a little more development of the relationship as a whole. Overall, absolutely loved it and recommend to anyone looking for a quick, spicy read.
This book has it ALL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Powerful single woman Sexy tattooed biker Forbidden love ( in my opinion) Age gap Switch
Mel is a QUEEN. A strong independent woman who knows what she wants and she finds her power to take it. She has an awesome friend group consisting of two sex positive gals, a bartender and a book writer. They help her find her power to take what she truly wants from Alex.
Now Alex… he’s the type of guy you wish you could snap your fingers and make him appear right from the book. He’s a tatted biker and bartender but has a soft side as he is a potter working as an apprentice at a local art exhibit. But of course he has a spicy pottery insta account the girls drool over. Did I mention he’s also 25? 15 years younger than Mel. The way he worships her is to die for.
If you like age gap but you want to see a woman with a the younger guy here’s your chance. The spicy scenes are sure to leave you speechless.

After I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was very happy that the second one wasn't far away! And what a delicious joy to read this one. A reversed age-gap, him falling head over heels for her (and she for him) and just as jummy smutty as the first book was!
I enjoyed reading Melody and Alex their story very much. And Kenzie did an amazing job with putting their story on page. You feel the love between them burning of the pages. Alex is willing to do everything for Mel. And though I liked Mel, she made me wanna slap her some times too. She listend to much to what other people would tell and acted out on that. I felt sorry for Alex 'cause he deserves the world! I loved how Alex wanted to fight for how he felt and how the story ended! I also really enjoyed all the people from the first book to see how they where doing.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Thank you Kenzie Quivers for this ARC to read and review.
🖤🩶 ARC Review for Just a Number by Kenzie Quivers 🩶🖤
This book was an emotional story and surprisingly more spicy than I thought it would be, which is always a great surprise. It's a standalone in an interconnected bookverse. The instant connection between Mel and Alex is absolutely mind melting. With it being a reverse age gap, a 40 yr old divorced woman in sexual prime with a 25 yr old tattooed man with stamina that happens to be her son's friend. The British English writing aspect was a funny addition. Their love of romance books was absolutely adorable, then we also get a sprinkle of motorcycle trope too 👀. There was one position that I will be thinking about the logistics of for the next 3-5 business days. But overall this book blew my freaking min with how delicious and spicy it was!!!
Just a number is the second book in the Thirst Trap series by Kenzie Quivers, my first book read by this author and I will be going back to read the first one ( they are interconnected standalones) and I'm looking forward to the next one already. It was also my first reverse age gap romance, and I must say I enjoyed it greatly. The book focuses on Melody, she is a 40 year old divorcee and her life, when in comes one of her sons older friends Alex, who is a tattooed biker, with her love of romance novels Mel falls for this man 15 years younger than her, but she wants him to live his life, but they come back together better than ever. There is so much tension, emotion, and yet joy that comes from reading this book. It's definitely a lighter romance than I usually read, but it was a great palette cleanser, and I would highly recommend if this is up your street.

Right from the beginning I was engaged into this reverse age gap story!! Follow Mel (FMC) & Alex’s (MMC) story. It was such a fun read. She’s 15 years his senior and fights the instant attraction to Alex coming up with every excuse in the book to stay away. I loved how empowering this was for the FMC and how freeing she allowed herself to be. The MMC was loveable and so adorable! Doing all he must to win her over, did he? The side characters were likeable and added good banter to the story. Kenzie did an amazing job handling the FMC’s “vanilla” experience and presented her exploration in a very realistic way. She touched on the importance of how stressful the situation could be for her and did a great job of writing it in such a way that I didn’t want to put this down. It’s spicy, playful and just so dang good. Definitely recommend!!
Newly divorced Mel falls for her 18-year-old son’s new friend Alex. She’s a 41-year-old event planner. He’s a 25-year-old, tattooed, bike-riding potter — as in making pottery, “Ghost” style.
Alex is very much the aggressor in giving them a chance, but they end up switching in the bedroom. He kneels eagerly, worshiping his goddess, then praises his good girl for taking his cock so well.
Relationship angst on her part, both for her son Zach’s sake & a misplaced need to not take away Alex’s future. Alex is steadfast.
Pretty vanilla, beyond the switch vibe. Bedroom only D/s dynamic without pain play, sensory play, or bondage. But LOVE the switch vibe.
Love Alex. Love Mel, too, once she gets out of her own way. Fuck what the world thinks, you’re good together.
Mel is a divorcee is thinking of getting a friends with benefits after she realizes she never did much adventuring in the bedroom with her ex-husband. She's attracted to one of her son's friends but is held off by the age-gap until he needs a place to stay and starts renting her garage apartment and the sparks fly. This book starts in the middle of The Best Number but you can read it alone too.
Alex and Mel are the best! I'm so glad that Mel got this adventure that she needed and embraced her inner switch. The spice was great, even the first few scenes you could tell they already had great chemistry. Classic age gap conflict but I love how they were both able to develop more as people in the process. A great addition to the Thirst Trap series, I can’t wait to read Abby’s book. It’s going to be on fire!
I loved this and binged it in one sitting, thank you Ms Quivers - this is exactly what I needed! Best reverse age-gap spicy romance I’ve read!!! A recent-divorcee who had only known life as a wife, mother and someone trying to get the next leg up in her career, Mel was stuck in a rut and in desperate need of the next step in her life. Sweet, beautiful, creative Alex came knocking at the right time. After giving in to the undeniable attraction they both felt, the road was rocky with Alex being Mel’s son’s friend, not to mention the 15 year age gap. The spark between the two is so bright you can’t look away. And the supporting cast of characters are the real deal. I loved Cass, Tom and Jack’s story, and now I need everyone else’s! 5 ⭐️ 4 🌶️
I absolutely love that we get an older FMC in Mel, and that she's embracing her independence and sexuality post-divorce, both through her bookstagram and then her relationship. I also really enjoyed the relationship between her and her teenage son; it felt really tender but also real. Alex was another fantastically crafted character. We learn about his difficult home life and how this has shaped him into the sexy, motorcycle riding, potter that he is. I love that he's so creative, and he's also really kind and considerate towards Mel. The chemistry between them is so steamy, especially once he ends up lodging with them. I absolutely adored Mel's dominant side coming out to play, and i just love the way Kenzie writes her spice
A reverse age gap. What's not to love? This story is an interconnected stand alone, and as much as I wanted to love it, I just liked it. Mel and Alex meet in unfortunate circumstances in that he is her sons friend. The attraction between the two is evident from the start. The spice was good, once they get going (We love a man thats not afraid to kneel). And even though Alex is 25, he definitely knows what he wants. Unfortunately, for me, it falls into the we shouldn't/we can't pitfall. I had to laugh because the FMCs friend is an author who is also writing a reverse harem. Cheeky. Overall, it was a short, fun read.
🍬 Reverse age gap 🍬 Son’s friend 🍬 Lodger to lovers 🍬 She’s a switch 🍬 Potter MMC x Bookstagrammer FMC 🍬 Single Mum 🍬 Taboo
And Kenzie does it again! I adored book 1 and this certainly lived up to the same expectations in my eyes. I loved seeing a much older FMC represented, it’s not often female characters are their 40s, such a breath of fresh air.
If you’re after a fun, smutty read to see you through the colder months (or warmer if you’re south of the border) then this is the one for you, you won’t be disappointed. It is a true interconnected standalone, whilst you don’t need to have read book 1 to enjoy this, you really should, mainly because it’s a favourite book of 2024 for me and shouldn’t be missed.
