I enjoyed this book set. A different twist on the normal virus afflicted crowd. Left you on the edge of your seat many times as there was none of the "you know what's coming next" kind of scenario. Lots of unexpected twists and turns. Well written and edited. Satisfying ending, IMO.
Grabs you from the start, I've read so many zombie books but not one with the twist this book has. There is a serum that can turn the zombies back into humans again, but it leaves them with the tell tale signs of being former zombies because the serum leaves them with yellow tainted eyes that a lot of people view "the saved" with fear and suspicion. The story follows through the eyes of a "saved " girl and a "saved" boy as they battle their way through a land filled with hate filled" normies" to get to the outpost for their booster serum injections before they turn back into full blown zombies with no 2nd chances of being "saved". A great read .
(audiobook) It's a YA zombie trilogy. The difference here is there is a cure for zombies. The only thing is they have a yellow tinge to their eyes, making them easily recognised as the cured.
The protagonist are trying to get to the outpost as their cure is temporary and need booster shots. They are running from a group of human supremacists and meet people along the way.
It's an okay read/listen which doesn't bring anything new. The narrator does a good job.
I’ve always wondered how people would react if a cure were invented for the virus. Obviously you’d have to inject it soon after turning. Make no sense to give it to some half gone monster with no stomach or face was missing. Also, how would the ex-zombie act? Resentful, hateful, angry, happy, hungry? How would the current Zombies react to them? Well we got the answer to that question, and the rest! Mystery solved!
The only thing I can say about this series that was disappointing is that it wasn't long enough!! It's fast paced and the characters are interesting and very believable and pull you in quickly but I wish the story had been longer but it was definitely worth the effort!!
If you are into the zombie apocalypse, and a roller coaster of action, and emotions, these are your books. I’m hoping there are more, but after a while, not sure I can read anymore like this for a while.
Love the details. Realistic emotions. I enjoy that they truely have no idea what they're doing, like teenagers would, and aren't suddenly awesome badass skilled survivors. Surprises at every turn it seems! Read via audio book, was a good listen.
A very enjoyable trilogy. Fast moving plot with very likable characters. Also some very dastardly characters. No graphic sexual content but a good amount of fighting. I recommend it for all ages.
This was a really good series! Different than most post-apocalyptic stories. Just overlook the slight incorrect info about military Humvees and you’ll really like these books.
I have just finished the last book,I loved every minute of reading them.I am going to miss all the characters .It was one of those books that you won't to go on and on.
