This book gave me all the feels! I love a warm and cozy Christmas book! And this book didn't disappoint...except there was a little chill here and there. I had, and still have, confidence in this author; she knows how to give sweet and clean heat as well as heart!
Felix, who was injured serving his country as a pilot, is forced to make a decision in order to save money for a surgery that will hopefully give him better quality of life. Living in a homeless shelter isn't what anyone plans for, of course. As a proud man with strong work ethic, he always pitches in, makes deep friendships, and catches the eye of a certain volunteer, Ivy.
Ivy is an attorney who works pro bono cases to help Veterans. As an homage to her nana, Ivy also knits socks and donates them to a certain shelter. Will yarn knitted into a pair of socks be the same yarn that ties a couple together? Or will there be a snag that unravels everything?
Felix decides to take on a pilot job that improves his financial situation to pay for surgery, but in doing so, he ditches happiness and a better chance at love.
I was ready to jump out of Felix's plane with a faulty parachute as Author Jenny Rabe wove this story to its end. I needed to know: are Felix and Ivy just Christmas Solemates or will they be Soulmates?
I highly recommend this novel! Unique concept, sweet character development, great secondary characters, a few twists to keep me on my toes, and Christmas characteristics that I love this time of year!
This would be a great book to purchase for yourself, and how about some gifts while you're at it?
