Lean On Me is a series of daily meditations for those struggling through their own recovery from addiction. It is also a series of personal reflections of a recovering addict. The author has faced trials and tribulations in coming to terms with his behavioural addiction, and the consequences that coming clean has had in his life and those closest to him. Yet through all the darkness and conflict, there is hope. As he grows in his recovery, he shares his insight and the strength that he has gained from his Higher Power while overcoming these obstacles.
Enjoying this contribution to the world from Scott Stewart. It could have used another pass by an editor, there were a few minor typos. The daily meditations are interesting, sometimes inspiring and they help you to step outside of yourself for a second and realise that everyone is struggling to get through this life. Knowing about the daily grind others are going through helps to lighten the load on your own shoulders.
This book is a great addition to my recovery material and I am happy to have added it. It's another daily reminder of putting my efforts into the things that will help me continue to keep my addictive behaviours at bay.
